Still doing night feeds - wasn't, but then started again about a month ago, and lately, we are doing THREE again, after he has gone to bed!
Sleeping through - was, for the longest time (four or five months!) but then started waking for night feeds when he started teething, and I am SURE that it's just a comfort thing ... although when he was feverish for a few days, it was a "keeping up fluids" thing, and prhaps hunger as he went totally off solids ...

Fav toy he has a dollie thats hand made crocheted pinched this from nanna's as he wouldn't leave nz with out it lol, also his kiwi puppet is his sleepy toy, lives his winnie the poo crinkle book, he has a wooden bead wire educational thing that the beads thread through and he adores this toy. Loves his bath time book to and the peekaboo blocks, he has just started playing with a shape sorter with sounds and music and it converts to a walking frame and loves this.... one of our best investments was and IS the winnie the pooh activity table where everything does something and the legs of the table really easily unclips loads of fun on this. he has the sound making puppy dog and loves that along with the baby tad teddy too.

Great to see how these bubs have grown so much. And interesting to see a few of them all around the same stats.
We went and had our first orientation day at child care yesterday. I'm not very happy about returning to work next month and I think I am really going to struggle with leaving him. But at least child care is on-site at work so I will be able to go over there and breastfeed whenever he needs it.
The girls in the room just seemed so lovely and even though the room is 0-6months it is based on the age they were at 1st January. So I was thinking Jett was going to be the oldest in amongst all these 2-3 month olds, but I was pleasantly surprised to see all the kids in there were born from the end of July through to September last year so they are all very close in age. They were completely fine with the cloth nappies too which was a bonus. I don't need to educate them on it. Jett seemed to enjoy it too. He sat there watching the other bubs for a while, and then off he crawled to join them and by the time we left he had done a complete circuit of the room, played with lots of toys and crawled through the tunnel. He came back to me every now and then, I think just to touch base, but he didn't cry or grizzle at all.
I go back at the same time next week but this time I will leave him in the room and go out. I will stay in the building just in case there are any issues but I don't think there will be any, as long as I don't walk in, dump him down and walk out, which I wouldn't and couldn't do anyway.
This morning I went for a 10k walk. Completed it in 2 hours which was pretty good, especially as the terrain was loose rock roads and up and down steep hills in St Andrews. Then back to my friends house for the boys to have a play.
Tomorrow morning Jett is going to have a portrait session with our wedding photographer. He is taking photos at the moment for a charity coffee table book called 5 and under, for Sids and Kids. So Jett will be appearing in the book!

MT... Thats good that the CC is in the same building- very handy and very family friendly!! It sounds like Jett will be fine!
On a similar note- a question....
Shane does not like to be held by anyone but me and DH and my mum when he see's her. He is fine at MG to play with the other kids and not be in my arms, but as soon as someone else tries to hold him it takes all of about 3 seconds before the bottom lip goes and he bawls... this is with people that he sees a bit- and then today with My Aunt and Uncle- who fair enough he hasnt seen since he was about 3 months old- but still even after about half an hour of plaing with them- he wouldnt be held. He gave my Aunt a kiss though which was cute!!
He really doesnt spend alot of time with anyone but me and i am wondering if this is normal or if i should try and get him more comfortable with other people? I know at our 8 month check up with the nurse- being wary of strangers was something she checked off as it was a normal response- but i am just curious how your babies are with strangers, but also with people who they do see fairly regularly.

I hope you don't mind me dropping in and leaving this message! Two years ago this group was my lifeline - I was a mess after losing my first baby and having a missed miscarriage. I stayed sane because of the support of girls like you. Even though I don't know you, I am so thankful for people like you who are there to support each other through the tough times.
I am now mum to the happiest and most well-behaved baby ever. My son is now 8 months old and I am loving every moment of being a mum. I really think that having a miscarriage changes you to appreciate each and every day you have being a mum. I can't imagine life without him but I still remember the dark days on the journey to getting here.
As I hit the 2 year anniversary of losing my first, the one thing I wanted to do was come in here and give the girls in this topic a huge virtual hug and a little bit of encouragement. I'd go through anything to be able to result in having the son I am blessed with now, he is incredible. I hope you are given the desires of your heart soon and get to meet the most wonderful little boys and girls ever too.
