    Hi
it has been a while since I have been on here - sorry!

With the hat thing, the first few hats I bought my DS were ones that did up under the chin. Osh Kosh had a real cute one with velcro under the chin and bits sticking in the air for winter. He could never take it off and now we use it for Ella (it is red).

With the biting, Ella still only has two bottom teeth but still managed to bite me yesterday evening and it hurt. I took her off and put her on the floor after that. She is teething too, I think the top teeth are thinking about coming through.

Ella isn't walking, just cruising the furniture and then falling on her bum when she lets go.

I think this is just the best age, saying dadada to DH and saying nin nin when she wants a bf (that is what we call it in our house). And the faces she pulls.

I am still tired because we are still doing 2-3 night feeds, but I am only feeding morning, lunch and dinner during the day so it doesn't feel like I am feeding forever anymore.

Glad to hear everyone else is well.

    Take care.

    Hi Ladies,

It has been ages since i have been here. I've been reading every now and then though.

Ela is doing really well, she has 8 teeth and side stepping along couches, tables and everything else she can grab onto! She wakes 2-3 times a night (i get angry at night, but then when morning comes and i see her cute smiles, all is forgotten).

Just wanted to let you all know that i am pregnant with number 3 . Extremely unplanned! Found out last night as i didn't receive my AF and both DH and i are shocked. Just told my boss as i wanted him to know early on and if a prob, i will have to abort (not that i want to). He was cool with it. Told mum this morning, she is wrapped but it means that she will be looking after 2 bubs and not just Ela now. Dad threw an absolute tantrum, not wanting to look after anymore grandkids as he is 65 now.

    I'll keep you all posted!

    Take care all.

WOW congrats Serah!!! that is gonna be a great age gap! better finding out now than when Ela was 7 months that is what happened to me!

Em is fine, on ABs now and challenge is this weekend. DH wants me to get off the comp but not gonna happen any time soon! Sarah has just gone to tell DH off for squeezing me too hard.

We are moving interstate! not sure where yet but hoping for brissy. DH is going full time in the army so we will be all over the place.

    Hi All,

Thanks for all the well wishes. We are not overly elated or excited as it was really very unplanned, too early or even to have #3. I had even made an appt at my gynae for end of July to get my tubes tied! Need to cancel that appt! I must admit that i did want a #3 but hubby was being a bit selfish.

I'm not sure of my due date as i only got 1 AF since giving birth to Ela but i think probably mid to end Jan '09. Need to book an appt with the u/s ppl to determine due date. I will let you all know once i find out.

poor Molly and I, up so many times a night! Molly, is your little Ella a chubba? My Ela is. Have you tried giving her a big feed before her night sleep? Sometimes it works for Ela. I giver her 1 weetbix with milk and fruit puree to keep her tummy full. May be try that??

    Take care all

    Hey All!

Congratulations Sehra!! I'm sure once the shock wears off you will become really excited and #3 will be a lovely gurgly little newborn, how could you resist!!
I'll join you and Molly with the night wakings - Milla is still feeding twice a night - or three times if you include a 5am wakeup. Most nights its 11, 3 and 5. I might try the weetbix idea, although she does have a pretty big dinner at 5:30, with meat/veg then fruit and yoghurt. I'm sure she's not starving, just wants BBs and some loves!

Ali - thats exciting about your move. If you come to Brisbane you might live near us, as we are quite close to the Army base at Enoggera, and there is a lot of Defence housing around here. A girl in my mum's group is part of the Army Base mums too - they have a pool and stuff they can go to, and special playgroups for all the army kids. You'll find some new mates pretty quickly. Good luck with the challenge.

Milla just has the 4 teeth still, but I can nearly see the next top one so that is our next one. She is walking along the furniture, but not when we hold her hands. She just isn't happy unless shes standing up. She stands on everything - even leaning on the wall now. She says mamamam, dadadad and bububub. She's 8.1kg, 70cm. She never ever stops moving. I battle with her to change her nappy too, usually give her a new "toy" each nappy change (bottle of baby stuff, packet of wipes, shoe, panadol syringe.. whatever i can get my hands on that is within reach of the change table! She wont take a real toy at all!) At least she is back to just 2 or 3 poos a day now, it was either paw paw giving her a bad tummy, or she may have had a mild viral thing. It lasted a week, and yeah, we were ploughing through nappies. Hope everyone's seen Huggies on special at Coles ATM, 2 boxes for $60.

Better go. She is awake, and I am starving!!!

    Hey all!
Good luck with the FET Kim!!!

Not a lot to report from here either... Milla had a crazy weekend totally out of routine cause we went out to a friends for dinner on Saturday and she just didn't want to sleep in the portacot. So, she entertained everyone til 9:30pm (usual bedtime is 7). Then Sunday morning I had to wake her up at 6am to go to the airport to pick up my sister. The she was too excited and only had one day sleep... Hopefully today we will get back to some normal sleeps since its totally pi$$ing down with rain and I'm not leaving the house for anything!

Still having to feed her once or twice in the night (usually twice....), but she hasn't been too cranky, and I don't think there are any teeth on the way for a while. Her top two teeth are so cute, but she just doesn't look like a baby anymore

    Bye !

    Hi All,

Had my ultrasound done on Tuesday and they could find the sac but no embryo at this stage. The sac measures at 5w3days which the sonoghrapher said that it was a bit early to see bubs and to wait another 2 weeks before repeating the scan. I will go and get it done next week which should get me to about 7.5w. I am still shocked and constantly thinking about how i am going to look after this baby with Ela still waking at least twice at night. I get really tired by the end of day and rest during the day is impossible with Ela and work too.

Kim, Ela has been having shorter naps during the day too. She used to sleep 3 times a day and has dropped back to about twice a day and usually 1 hour at each sleep. I guess they are getting bigger and want to explore.

Ela is now standing on her own and claps when she is standing but just won't take that step which we are all waiting for!

Birthdays for all of us soon! August is coming round really quickly.

Re: the nappies at Coles. I was tempted to buy newborn nappies at that price but i had to persuade myself out of it!!

    Take care..
