Hey everyone! Finally got connected AGAIN! so over internet disruptions!!

Well Aaliyah has been on solids for a week now!!! Very excited and she's loving it!

For those who are starting and wondering what routine or when to feed milk to bubs I follow the routine from the book 'Save Our Sleep' It's been the only guide I can find because no sites mention anything about how to give solids. What I've been doing has been working just great!

Aaliyah wakes at 8 and I breastfeed. I wait half an hour and then feed her farex and pear for breakfast. Put her for down for her morning sleep, I try and give her at least 2 hours but it's always broken. When she wakes I feed her again, wait another half an hour and give her carrot (or any vegetable) then she sleeps again. Her 3:00 feed is just a breastfeed. She sleeps for 45 mins and at 5:30 I give her Farex. Then bath and bed by 7:00. I find the breastfeeds are shorter because she is filled up with solids! FINALLY! However every day she wakes up differently, sometimes 7:30 or even 8:30 but the day starts from there. I've been making my own food up and putting them into ice-cube trays. Then once its all done I just place them in bags and label the veggies and fruit. I suggest giving them fruit because it doesn't constipate babies, Aaliyah has been going regularly since we've started solids. It's been a blessing. She still wakes once through the night but I'm not fussed coz I'm getting my 8 hour sleep!

Veggies to start with are carrots, zucchini, sweet potatoe, pototoe well that's all I can think of at the moment because I've had a long day! Pears and apples are also good and they will love it. I also give Aaliyah one savoury and one sweet just to keep her interesterd in solids and she loves it!!!

Apart from that she's a happy baby and hopefully she can start rolling soon, she's already falling to one side now i'm just waiting for her to go on her tummy it's so cute!!

How is everyone else going with solids and there bubs in general?
