Lauren, maybe you just need to get the guy drunk and jump aboard Ohh that's a big move for you too. Love the belly cast, is that you one ?

Nic, I tried Abbey on sweet corn and chicken lastnight. She gagged so bad she made herself spew. Maybe you could try mixing a little farex in with the vegies. That's what I'm going to do next time. Don't want her only eating sweet stuff. Although it makes perfect sense as BM is very sweet too.

And looky, I didn't miss the start of this thread.

DP has the *****s this morning. And you know what, I can't even be buggared asking him what's up. I don't care. LOL. I have showered and dressed. Abbey is bathed and dressed and she's having a feed and then I am off for a couple of hours. Hopefully when I get home he's gone out for a while with the kids so I can have a nana nap. HEHE. He's in the lounge room folding washing as I type. Prob why he has the craps actually. Oh well, he wears them too.

hey, can't believe how fast this has gone already & I yet I'm impressed I found it so fast.

I don't know much about the baby-led weaning, but someone in our mothers' group is doing it. I think it also is built on the idea that in the old days of starting food way early, they would have been up to finger foods by now anyhow. Can do vegies as well as fruit, you just need to steam them I think - cut into fingers.
I'm doing more the traditional route, but hearing about it has made me more relaxed to let Ella taste things I'm eating. Will be making her some rusks after she loved my crusts (can't give her commercial ones b/c they have milk in them & we think she may have a milk protein intolerance).

Thanks for the ref on the Cuski! I'm about to check it out. We could use some improvement in any kind of sleeping here.

So jealous of that lovely long sleep some people are getting. Have a lovely day Trish, hope you feel better after the day out. Know what you mean about the foggy head. Just saying to dh I could do anything if I could just have 1 night's sleep. My ultimate fantasy is a whole week. he he he. Maybe when she's a teenager. Oh, yeh, then I'll be up worrying about her all night, won't I???

And man, I still can't believe anyone is TTC. That's one of my reasons for not wanting to dtd...

Lauren: Boyne island is near Gladstone.. Around 500km south of Mackay.. 550km north of Brisbane.. Pretty much right smack in the middle Perfect spot

I don't think it is silly wanting more kids or kids with the same dad at all.. We started tring for baby number 3 about 6 weeks after Isaac was born.. didn't happen for a while but it happened. Always takes us a year or more to get pg anyways. Isaac was a awesome baby, slept like a dream.. the drugs he was on helped too but aside from that he was a easy child and in some ways still easy..

Trish: lol.. that was olivia just on Farex.. But it is pretty horred stuff anyway.. So funny though. I said to Simon I think shes going to throw up and Jacob ran and got the spew bucket. was all clean obviousy but was the bucket he had been throwing up in the week before

We are going to try pumpkin either this afternoon after her nap or tomorrow.. Simon thinks we should wait till tomorrow now and the later today gets the more I agree... We will see her mood when she wakes.

    Hi girls,
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. It is raining here now which would be great only i have about 3 baskets of washing to do. Never mind i will try to get to that tomorrow. Took the boys to our local council animal park today. They loved it, the womat was walking around and following them. Ethan didnt like the pigs though they were too scary! Am glad that it is free it means the kids can go and see the native and farm animals anytime its open and it doesnt cost a cent.
Ethan still has a bit of a cough today but it doesnt seem as bad as the other day. Took him to get weighed on Friday and he lost about 50g from last fortnight. Hopefully he doesnt lose anymore and gets to 9kg fast.
Charlie is still waiting form his ECG appointment at the mater to come threw but has his next appointment at the hospital, as long as he has no more seizures we should just be on check up appointments.
Better run and feed my little terrors will do personals next time

Wow moves so quick in here on the weekends!!
Jus- Ty has one of those blanky things but we haven't really used it yet. he loves his wrap though. Don't wrap him at night anymore, just pop him in his sleeping bag but he still has to have his wrap over the top of him so he can hold it. Very cute, I used to love my blanky when i was little. Kwym about the sleep... eight hours interrupted is like my ultimate fantasy at the moment...
Buzzie- No more bubs for us at the moment... I'm actually at the stage of feeling sorry for pregnant women when i see them. A few of my friends are pregnant and I have to remind myself not to scare them when i talk to them!! And like I've said to dh, you actually have to have sex to get pregnant and I'm waaaay too tired for any of that... poor man.
Trish- Know someone who actually gives her bubs carrot fingers raw to munch on, especially when she's teething. I'd be worried about choking but.
Has anyone used those mesh feeder things?
Nic- Ty loves sweet potato, much better than pumpkin. Thanks for your apple advice too, I've been doing it and he now is eating potato and tried zuchini today.
Kitten- lmao at your dh thinking he deserves applause for making a meal. Mine's the same. Although he did cook me a roast tonight while I had a nap with Ty after work and kinds cleaned up the kitchen (a man clean...didn't bother to wipe down the benches) so I can't complain.
Dh wants the computer back so he can Facebook. Night all

Glad Ty loved his veges more
