Hi girls.
Not a good day for us. My poor little ones are sick. Orson's first cold, wahhh! I feel so bad for him.
Orson is almsot rolling as well. They are such clever little things aren't they?
Rainbow - Wow thats a good effort for bella! two pounds! she sounds like she's growing!
jords - the BB is VERY addicive - when its down on FB they have a members page - its a good way of checkin' out if its down or if its just your computer! as for winter wanting to suckle all night darren was like that when he was BF'd trying to make more milk come in maybe she's headed for a growth spert?
Anthiea - aww poor orson! i hope the little ones get better soon!
Moose: really with bfing 'drys you up'? i'm strange i've gone the other way! i think i'm in your boat with the photos though! and i think darren would be about 5.3kg now i'm guessumeing?
stelra - yeah DTD is a little :s atm. it was nice last night but it'll be a few more days before i even *think* about it. i think having a baby alseep you're almost *waiting* for them to wake up so you're a little...distracted? but im all for cuddles.
AFM : my high school teacher came over. she was fantasic. she thought dazman was very cute! she said i was doing a good job with him and was just very impressed with him! i'm hopefully going to see her soon and another girl from high school! she's the Health and Human Devlopment teacher at my old highschool so when they get to babys/devleopment im going to take Darren in and show him off! hehe. plus take in all daz's u/s photos and what not. (maybe even my belly pics!). Ohh daz found his hands last week and this week it was his feet. he pulls them up while we're changeing him. but i found this can be a hazzard...lets just say i was changeing him before and his legs went up and something other then piddle came out! lucky for me i hadnt taken the nappy off fully! haha i better go do the dishes while darrens asleep! hope you're all having a good day!
Thanks for all the responses ladies, it makes me feel really good to know that I am not alone in feeling this way. Poor DH got the raw end of the stick as I went "off" DTD quite early in pregnancy as well, but he has been very supportive and has never put pressure on me. I have read somewhere that breastfeeding has a tendency to dry things up down there, hence why it most likely feels quite raw and reminds us of our first experiences!!
Jords: LOL mummy brain eh? All good, the 4th is just as good a date and I know I am very lucky Sam has been sleeping so well this early. mind you the last couple nights, she's been waking up at 12:30am and 1am again so will give it a week and see what the sleeping pattern seems to be doing and if needs be I will re-introduce the dream feed. Sorry you had a crappy night sleep...make sure you have a nap today!
Blip: its so nice to see that Daz is well on his way to recovery, can't believe he weighs 4kg, Sammy is only JUST weighing this now!
Rainbow Raver: Still getting used to your new name!! And I agree, our bubs are so cute aren't they, I think DH and I have taken well over 3000 ( not exagerating either) piccies of Sam. I did do my exercises throughout pregnancy but obviously not enough, my abs are still quite sore as well when I am using them, which I am a bit surprised considering that I had a natural birth.
Got meeting #2 of mothers group tomorrow, last week was pretty cool, it was hilarious to watch Sammy eye the other babies!! Most of the mums seem quite nice but the first 4 weeks is more like group/info sessions with the EC nurse, so didn't get much of a chance to talk. We all shared our birth stories last week and that was pretty cool to see how different everyone's labour really was. Tomorrow they have a GP coming to talk about "when should you be worried" about your bub being sick, etc. Should be quite good. Anyone else been going to MG?
OKies, well better get off to have a shower as I am all sweaty from my walk ( you most likely did not need to know that!!lol)
Good to hear all our bubs are doing well!! YAY for us
Mxx
Antheia: sorry to hear lil Orson is not wellHope he feels better real soon.
How nice to hear from everyone.
Blip: Sorry to hear you had such a ruddy time with your mum over Easter, and that Daz had such awful wind. Family can be such a pain sometimes (or a lot of the time). That's awful about the kid being drug-tested... I hope he's okay.
Rainbow_Raver: That's fantastic that Bella is gaining weight and sleeping well! Oliver is starting to get better and better with sleeping. More often than not he'll sleep 6-7 hours now, wake for a feed, and then sleep for a couple more hours. It's wonderful when those bubs sleep well - it makes such a difference to my sanity! I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't overly excited about DTD, though I hope I get back into the swing of things again soon.
Jords: Glad you're enjoying BB! It's always been good to me, and such a help with all those little questions and concerns that pop up during pregnancy and with a young baby. I felt like I was reading my own post when you mentioned how Winter has discovered her hand! Oliver has also just discovered his hand and spends loads of time with it stuffed in his mouth sucking and licking away! He also likes to bring his legs up when we're changing him! It's nice to find out your baby is doing the same thing as other babies the same age! Can't wait to see some photos when you get a chance.
AFM: Oliver is doing well, smiling heaps and heaps! I managed to get heaps of photos of him smiling this morning, and I've uploaded one:

We're also heading off to our antenatal class reunion today! It'll be fun to see everyone's babies and share stories!
I hope everyone is well![]()
Oops, a few posts added while I was taking my time writing...
Antheia: Oh no! I'm so sorry they're sick. Poor little Orson. I hope he feels better soon. Wow, how clever that he is almost rolling over!
Moose: Yup, definitely not alone with the DTD thing. Glad that your MG is going so well! How cute with Sammy eyeing off the other babies! I have been meaning to ring up about the MG in my area. I got given a number ages ago, but completely forgot about it. I hope I'm not too late if I ring up now.
Hey girls!!!!I haven't posted in here for so long. I keep up with the 16th-31st jan group as they were my original group, its hard enough keeping up with them let alone you girls
You all seem to be doing great... I've read a few of your posts now and then when I have the time....
Ava and I are going great.... I'm really getting the hang of being a Mummy now and absolutely LOVE it. Even the sleepless nights I am not finding "as bad" anymorefirst few weeks were a bit of a shock!! haha.... Ava usually feeds at 10pm ( i wake her) and then will sleep until 3 or 4am when she wants another feed. then goes down 30mins later and wakes again 7am. so i'm usualy only up once in the night.... sometimes twice.
She's been sick with her 2nd cold and cough this last 2 weeksso we've had some tough nights.... up every 2-3hrs like she was when she was really new!!! Oh i don't miss those nights anymore haha.....
Our breastfeeding is going well, we had a very hard start to it all, bad attachment low supply issues etc but things are really better now and I'm not having to express as much or even top her up for feeds as much anymore.... almost exclusively breastfeeding now
I'm sorry I dont' have time for personals but just wanted to touch base and say
Hope to post more often and keep up with you all.... xoxo mwah!
'ello ladies!
Moose: wow thats pritty cool! its always interesting to hear storys like that! has a light flickered yet?
jords: hah i am SO with you and the in-ability to stear prams! i need "L" on the forunt and back!as for letting bubs cry...darren is almost 3 months old and i STILL sleep in his room 0_o your MIL would hate me!
Sterla: woo for DH looking after oli on his own! im glad he got some time with him. i know my DH loves spending time with daz when "he's fed and happy" lol. paps a fantasic arent they?why is it us women who always get poked, proded, proped and pr!cked?
Ren: Yay your still around (in another bb grp!) glad to hear ava is doing good! after all the b/f issues you've had!
AFM: well i was right the last week =haha poor DH coped it last early thismoring he came into say goodmoring to Daz and i and i got all craky with him
plus i also had what i think was the remainder of a wisdom tooth coming in so i was not only PMS-y but kinda teetheing as well!
the funniest thing? i think i prefer labour pains to period pain! as for daz well he's found his 'voice' last night and today he's been making thease burbleing sounds like "i-yayayayayayay- gah" i got it on video thisavro...i was trying *very* hard not to laugh! DH and i also picked up daz's cot last night and put it up today. he looks so much smaller in a cot! he's currently sleeping in there now...i just need to get some flanett cot sheets for him!
Does any one know if getting ones A/F back can change the breast milk? with the EBM daz seems to be fussing alot...
question - has any one else talked about when they're going to have more kids? DH i where talking about it today and i said 18months then i'd like to (for the first time LOL) try for a second bub...and he suggested i look up the BB for how to help sway it so we have a higher chance of having a girl LOL...
oo i better go...dinners here!
Hey girls, im still around but just working on a very big project of mine so wont be posting much for little bit.
Orson is well. Sleeping has gotten better again during the night.
Renstar: Great to see you still around. Ava is absolutely gorgeous!!! I'm so glad that b/feeding is going well for you now. It is hard enough to keep up with the BB groups, you're doing well even attempting to keep up with two! That's great that you're loving mummyhood!
Blip: How cute that Daz has found his voice! Oh, and I know what you mean about Daz looking smaller in the cot. Oliver looks teeny tiny in his cot - there's certainly room for him to grow!
Sorry, no idea whether AF can affect breast milk. It could with changes in hormone levels maybe?
DH and I have sort of talked about when we'd like the next bub. I'm thinking we might start trying after Oliver has turned 1, and we too will be hoping for a girl.
Antheia: I'm intrigued. Hope you and Orson stay well.
AFM: Had a pretty low-key weekend. Saw my family a bit and DH saw a couple of his mates. Oliver has been a little bit fussy today, just cause he's tired I think. I left Oliver with DH while I had a shower today, and as soon as I turned off the water could hear Oliver screaming. When he gets like that absolutely no one but me can calm him down. DH handed Oliver to me and he instantly settled, which was great, but made DH feel pretty crappy. He wants to help so much, but Oliver is very much mummy's boy right now.
Oh, and Oliver had a stinky poo today (lovely what we talk about, huh?). Usually it doesn't really smell bad, but it did today. I'm wondering if something I ate upset his tummy a bit? Don't know.
I'm off to see a LC tomorrow about the nipple shield thing. It will be good if we can make some progress, but if we don't that's okay too as things are still going well.
I hope you lovely mummies and bubbas had a great weekend.
Sterla, Orson really only settles for me too. DH thinks Orson hates him lol poor thing. I think it is just we smell different and that's what comforts them.
