i didnt think about the immunization until you mentioned the mild dose thing... that's why i thought him getting chickenpox now would really really suck! so close to when he was to be immunized and after lisa said about james having scars from his bout of it as a baby i thought that would really suck for baby to get chicken pox
so what is wrong with the babies if it is not chicken pox??

have you tried giving tobi the washer for him to wash his own face?? they REALLY love to show off that skill for some reason....??

    have A GREAT WEEKEND everyone

Jayne - Thanks for the offer hun, but I am just wingeing over the fact that we have 5 of those bottles and no un-leaking teats... it seems pointless to keep buying $7-ish bottle things every time he pops a teat.
Tashie - I totally agree with you... I have thought about complaining to them... I hopped on their website today to see if there was anything I could do about replacing the teats... maybe a complaint is in order I hope Tobi is feeling better today.

    Off to bed now... Night

TASH _ Jess is doing a day of daycare because all she wants to do is learn, learn & learn! She wants to be playing with kids all day, she wants to do craft, play at the park, sing songs, read books & learn to 'draw the alphabet'. I know I can teach her all of that & I have done & will continue to do so, but she needs to have some socialisation in a learning environment. She has lots of little friends that we do playdates with, but she is just wanting a bit more. I have been to hell & back with her last week (this week was loads better) & I've been on the phone to Alan ranting I don't know what to do with her because she has been so naughty & then I realised it - she's bored! It doesn't matter how much I do with her, she is just like a little sponge & sucks it all up & wants more. It's just unfortunate that she missed out on Kindy this year because of her age, so I think that doing a day of daycare (it's very structured & the children are assessed), is going to help her learn & me get some sanity. The only thing with Claudia is that she has been LOVING the settling in sessions at the daycare that we have been doing. It's a requirement that we do 3 sessions & when we drop her off on Monday for her first day by herself, Claudia is going to be majorly jacked about it! I might try & get Claudia into a Kindgym class or playgroup or something on that day next year, because she doesn't have the concentration span to take that on at the moment. The daycare thing has been a very hard decision for me to make, but I had to put myself in Jessica's shoes & do what she would want & she is LOVING daycare, but apprehensive about Monday on her own. I told her Mummy isn't allowed to stay there anymore because I'm not 3, but I will be back to pick her up & hear about all the fun stuff that she did.

Ok, I'm tired & I need some sleep!

    Night night to all!

jayney jayney jayney - jessica is going to love it, she is 3 years old not 15months, you have raised a very clever independent little girl, ONE day a week is nothing she will want more once you start her and will make awesome friendships and everything HEAPS of people tell me they sent their kids to daycare and i always assumed they meant little tiny kids but no they mean when they were about 3 they sent them to daycare - it is very common..... i think it is part of kids growing up made 'worse' in this day and age by prep being so young and so structured, ""when i went to school"" prep was preschool age and preschool was play no classroom type structure so for little kids in "this day and age" to get ready for prep and preprep and all that crap ONE day of daycare is almost the good mummy thing to do
i think claudia will pretend to be jacked off but secretly LOVE having mummy all to her self!
    you rock
i think the 26th the bonds baby results come out - you will know if she is a star but after us waiting for 2 hours i think the photo would have been ordinary but i didnt care we made it to the start of the line (ie WINNERS!)

tashie - you jinxed us (joking) jemima woke at 3.30am and didnt go back down really, benji said he got up again (after we tried letting her sleep in our bed) and rocked her to sleep on the couch and then she was down asleep again by 5.30 but then awake again at 6.30 - so not happy jan!!! i was sure when i had her settled at about 4am it was the cold as she almost stayed asleep but who knows! it seemed when she realised she was alone in her room she would scream..??

KEL _ Jem is playing you by the sounds! Exactly what you said, when she realised she was on her own, she screamed! Little Miss! Maybe she did wake because she was cold, but then when she got the cuddles to go back to sleep she decided that was far more comfy than being in a cot all on her own! Ok, I can't wait to see what the results are! Do you get to keep a picture that they took of her? That is good enough in my book! I can't believe you lined up for 2 hours, you deserve a medal for that in itself. Yeah, I'm slowly coming to the realisation is that the daycare is something that Jessica 'needs' rather than just wants. & already she has made a really awesome friend so I'm happy with that & her teacher is absolutley beautiful. The daycare is attached to the school that she will be going to next year, so she will get used to going there for school as well. Over here we don't have Prep. It's Kindy, Pre-Primary, then Year 1. Kindy is usually 2 full days or 4 half days, Pre-Primary is 5 full days & Year 1 5 full days. Bring on 2010 when both my kids are in Kindy & Year 1! LOL.

Hope you are all having great weekends! I'm doing the washing & waiting for Claudia to go for a sleep (she got up at 6:30 today, so 10am sleep for her) & I have to go grocery shopping, buy my gf a birthday present & get ready for her coming over for dinner tonight with her 3 kids. I don't think I'll fit in going to Grandma's for lunch today.

    Love Jayne xox

hello, I'm at work, slow day but just have a second to say hi!

And wanted to tell you that while Monkey doesn't like cleaning her face yet, while she has this cold, she love showing me how she can blow/wipe her nose with the tissue - WAY cute!! Poor pumpkin is really not well, we had a horror night last night.... oh well.

    Hope Tobi is feeling better.

I'll BBL to catch up on more clever things they are all doing - sounds like monkey can do some things others are doing and has some specialities of her own!!

And Lisa, I too totally know about bad days..... (I am regularly responsible for Monkey accidents....the other night she launched for me on the couch, missed me and copped the arm of the sofa on her cheek - hit it so hard she bounced through the padding and hit the wood frame - almost but not quite split her cheekbone open) I think sometimes the planets aren't aligned and you have days where little things just pile up..... hope the last couple of days have been better.

gotta go before boss checks in!!

    Hi Girls,

How are we all? I Am just waiting for some friends to arrive so thought I would take this chance to post. Erin is actually down for a afternoon nap, so will enjoy teh quiet whilst it lasts. Have been busy cleaning, made it alot easier as Julian took Erin down to his parents house for a couple of hours so I could get some stuff done. It is amazing how much easier it is with out a messy toddler around!!! It was actually quite relaxing Mr Sheening with some good music in the background, wow how sad have I become!!!!

KYM - Hope Monkey is feeling better now hun. How is work going?I'm the same I'm not sure who is clumsire me or Erin!!!
JAYNE - The daycare soudn really good hon, and it sounds like Jessica will thrive on the stimulation. That is where the school cut off sux as some kids like Jessica would be so ready when others aren't. Have you got the free flu vacination for your girls?Just tossing up to give it to Erin. Hey girl we also need to set up a date to catch up!
LISA - SO know how you feel love, poor Erin at the moment has got bruise on her face on her legs, I am always colliding with her so don't feel too bad honey!
KEL - FIngers crossed for the bonds commercial Jem would have our vote!I keep meaning to tell you I organised my 15 year reunion 2 years ago now, Was fabulous. I was so stressed leading up to it as I was 6 months prego with Erin but it was a fantastic night and everyone had a ball. I think we had 88 people , which was good as we didn;t invite partners so was a great turnout. I had Stubby holders made with our school emblem and our reunuion dates on which was a great keepsake.
TASH - 20 words is great! Erin still only babbles and says Mum, Dad and Duck. She is friggin obsessed by ducks. She is getting really good now at following instructions like putting something in the toybox or going to her room and getting her blanket etc.

Well girls, guests are here love to you all xxxx

Ohhh... do it Kristy!!! I will be a customer... I love tupperware!
A terrible day again today with Harrison... only today it was because he threw tanties everytime he had to eat something he didn't want to eat! He had vegies and some left over meatloaf for lunch today and he threw the biggest tantrum over it that he didn't even eat a bite... and he even had corn on the cob which he usually loves but he threw it AT ME
So, I tried him with a sandwich... nope, he didn't want that either. So, I gave him a biscuit and he ate it. I was sooooooooo mad!!! He turned his nose up at banana's too. So, he has had a very un-nutritious food day today. Oh, he did have a couple of mushrooms of mine but thats about it.
Grrrrrrr.... DH fed him his dinner... at least he ate it for him.

so so so wierd kristy - today i went to a tupperware party and AGAIN (as always) they tried to convince me to selltupperware - they always do coz i have so much of it and always end up selling to the other girls.... i could sell ice to the eskimos or whatever - but if i dont get this job i am going for i may look into it too... depending how flexible i can make daycare and stuff maybe - not sure
and so so so so wweird we are thinking stubby coolers, keyrings and pens for the school reunion too, i would like just stubby coolers but i think the otherr girl organising wants to keep the tone a little bit formal and so would like everyone to be able to choose between keepsakes, did everyone love the stubby coolers at your reunion??

went to the doctor today and got blood tests, we are testing my hormone levels, he can not explain why AF has not returned for me and i have heaps of hormonal changes that have come and go the last couple of months and i have a heap of new pimples and am heaps tired, i have put it down to stress.... my "stress" and anixeity and stuff is so bad he described drugs for me.... however interestingly enough today when i would normally be about to throw jemima out the window (for being a one year old and whinging... so not fair on her) i was fine, perhaps KNOWING i had a solution in my handbag was enough to calm me down just a little.... not sure......

jayne - my interview was interesting - they called within a couple of hours and requested i attend a second interview this thursday so that is awesome -

on friday i dont know if i said but i have to get a mole cut out of my arm... i am NOT lookingforward to it at all hate the idea of being cut... it was my BIGGEST fear before giving birth to jemima... and i ended up with a c-section and let them cut a mole off my belly while they were there - too funnny

have decided not to wean jemima now... was thinking about getting rid of one of her feeds but now that i know it has NOTHING to do with why AF is not back i am happy to keep going until she doesnt want it anymore or at least until she is 2, keep reading about little things that are good if you give breastmilk til 2 so while everything is working why not
however when it comes time my mum finally gave me advice she said you "dont offer but dont refuse" and thats how you wean them slowly.... i will not believe the day jemima doesnt ask for it in the morning....
at the tupperware party today there was a 19month old and a 15month old demand feeding in the middle of the day... i am glad jemima doesnt ask for it in the daytime anymore... but i am wondering if she was there with me (she was at daycare getting ready for next week when i work a FULL TIME FULL WEEK) if jemima would have wanted a feed coz the other babies were or she would think it was weird....

oh and you dont get a copy of the photo the bonds people took unless i guess you are a finalist i think....

hey lisa - we were posting at the same time - jemima (since i picked her up at about 2pm) has been a sooki sooki la la all day! what is with these normally perfect children????
she is getting her back teeth they have two points through so am i right to assume the other 2 points are going to be giving her hell??

do you think harrison is teething and certain foods just may hurt??? jem screamed at fruit custard(the heinz stuff not egg custard the fruit one) but loved chicken breast tonight?

I don't know Kel... he seems to be constantly teething but not getting the teeth! lol
He has 2 through, but 1 is totally through, the other is just poking out.
The thing with Harry is that he will eat ANYTHING his Daddy feeds him but won't eat it for me... he is such a Daddies boy that I am feeling rejected!!! lol
I only feel awful on the days where I can't get him to do a thing I want, and when Rob gets home from work, Harrison is an angel.
Oh well... hopefully it's all better tomorrow

LISA _ Maybe Harry knows that you're feeling a bit frazzled just lately & he is picking up on the vibes? Doesn't sound like your little boy to be the tanty-type, so that's why I assume that? I hope that he is eating better tomorrow. But mind you, my 2 haven't eaten properly in almost a week. Last night we went to MIL's & got some pasta from local italian shop & they ate truckloads, so that was good enough for me! Mine are picky when they want, but have slowly figured out if they eat their dinner they can have some icecream or a freddo after, but if no dinner, then only apples. It works!

KEL _ Did Jem make the finals? When is the announcement? I love Tupperware too! I have a cupboard dedicated to Tupperware. I would love to be a consultant, but I'm over that type of work. I did The Body Shop @ Home for a few years & that was cool. What kind of meds did the dr prescribe? When do you get BT results back? Oh & good luck being de-moled!

KRISTY _ Yep, sounds great to me, might have to be a Thursday after swimming lessons for the catch up? I get home about 11ish? We can do lunch?

ME _ Had a great day today with Claudy. Jess went to daycare on her own. She was sweet as going off & had a ball of a day. I was quite dejected to tell you the truth. I couldn't believe she didn't cry. She even had a sleep! I nearly died! They are letting her go again on Friday because of Monday's P/H, so I reckon that is really great. Alan is home on Saturday so she won't go while he is home & then from after that, she will go every Monday. Claudia loved having the control of the toys! My house is freaking spotless as well! Claudy is sooooooo much better at packing up than Jessica that's for sure!

    Love Jayne xox

hey hey jayney i was just hopping on to find out how you went (didnt really think i needed to ask how jess went at daycare i KNEW she would love it), so good you had a refreashing day especially getting to share a day with claudy - you know how you said you figured jess probably needed it not just wanted it... who cares .... what an awesome mum are you for being able to provide what your little girl WANTS even if you didnt love the idea... i think that is cool, my mum would have still most likely NOT let me do what i WANTED if she did like the idea or didnt like what other people would like

unbelievably my baby girl did not win the bonds thing heheeh BUT there is a people's choice award i have uploaded a photo to and as soon as i figure out how to vote i will let you all know heheheeheh

the meds the doc gave me have valium and something else in them - i am a touch worried/reluctant to take them coz of my addictive personality....i mean i get addicted to things easily like certain foods the computer hairclips for jemima i collect all sorts of things then get over it (like stripey jumpsuits for jemima) anyhow i will see how it goes, benji is quite excited that he can now give me a valium when i am getting worked up over NOTHING ho hum

i get the blood test results back "in a couple of days" so i will go on thursday after my job interview - unless my doc not working thursday then i will go friday before i get the mole cut out, which will be good coz benji will be home for the morning to hold my hand

oh and then friday night we are going to see Rove and mum is babysitting - she wants jemima to sleep over! so that sounds good, i am guessing since i wont be there jemima wont look for a nighttime or breakfast feed?? so if i can get jem to my parents house and still not get too stressed out getting home in time to go to rove that will be good otherwise mum will just come over

i just heard lots and lots of yelping and my dog AGAIN has gotten under my 6 foot fence, she is a little tart!! she always gets out and struts her stuff down the road! i hate it! i cant see anywhere she is hurt but the whole neighbourhood now knows about my bumble bee slippers and bright pink flanno pjs with penguins all over them... i am glad though my other two dogs dont run away with her for some reason they dont roam... it is just her she likes extra attention

i am a little worried about ryn??

Kel - I am so glad to hear that you are getting some tests to find out what is happening about AF and your hormones. Good on you for getting some answers. I'll be thinking of you on Thursday for you interview and for your results...I love the slippers

Lisa - Tobi is starting to chuck tanties too. Do you ignore Harrison when he throwing one? It is driving me crazy and I don't have the patients to deal with him on my own most of the time....They always say that toddlers are fussy eaters, so maybe it is all about to start. Tobi wont eat lunch or dinner most days. But I figure that as long as he eats something during the day then thats good. He always starts the day off with a good breaky too (banana milkshake, handful blueberries and Vegemite and cheese on toast).

Jayne - Thats fantastic that everything went well both at child care and at home with you and Claudia.

Us - Tobi decided to wake up at 3am yesterday and not go back to sleep till 5am. What is with our kids doing this all around the same time? Maybe it is a side effect from cutting down to one sleep? I have been bring ing him into bed with me when he wakes up at about 6ish and we go back to sleep till about 7.30am. It is so nice having him sleep with me and we both start the day so happy, but he snores so loud!

TASH _ I love those morning snuggles. I used to do that with Jessica for months on end. It only stopped when she was about 2.5 years. I was still doing it when Claudia was born. I loved it, Jess is so snuggly, she is like her dad when she sleeps, wants to be laying on top of somebody. She loves coming into bed when Daddy is home & snuggling up with him as well. Claudy has never been a snuggler. She is getting better, but nothign like Jess was. LOL @ Tobi being the party boy at 3am! That's hard to deal with!

KEL _ I can't believe Jem wasn't picked. What's wrong with the judging? Is the winner a cutie though? Yes, let me know how I can vote for Jem. Oh wow, the sleepover sounds awesome! I love that idea! & very interesting to see if she goes ok & doesn't want the breastfeed from Nanna

LISA _ Are you having a better day with Harry? How is Cohens? Are you feeling great? I need to do something soon because if something's not nailed down - i eat it! I can't stop eating. It's strange, I've always been a good picker, but I'm seriously eating everything atm!

ME _ All good my end, no complaints!
