Hi guys,

Welcome back Roya! Good on you for tandem feeding on the plane - wow!! Do you have to have them buckled in when taking off and landing? We are going to Melbourne soon and I was going to feed DD then to help with her ears but was wondering if they will let me since I imagine I won't be able to keep her buckled in at the same time. It sounds like you had a great time away!

Carley - that's pretty impressive that L has 2 teeth already! DD is showing no signs of teething yet. But DD is exactly the same as L with the rolling! She can also only roll from back to front and doesn't like being on her tummy, so as soon as she rolls, she starts crying, so I roll her back and then it starts all over again!

esme - have a great trip! DD does that too when I am trying to change her; she just doesn't stop moving sometimes!

jacki - we bought a high chair recently but hadn't started using it as she is not on solids yet either, but then the other day when we were busy in the kitchen and she was whinging, we put her in it so she could see us and it kept her happy! Definitely give it a go, they can be quite useful like that! I am glad to hear that the JJ is a hit - DD loves hers too and chats away, looks at her toes and drools everywhere in it! She just turned 20 weeks too!

sue - yeah, I guess there is no chance for any of us to have a shower on our own for a long time now! I put DD in her rocker in the bathroom when I shower and she can entertain herself in it long enough for me to even wash my hair these days - such a novelty! I think DD is getting a little better, at least last night she was. I phoned the helpline here after trying absolutely everything to get her sleeping better and they recommended putting her back in our room again at night and that seemed to help last night. It's funny, sometimes she can put herself down to sleep fine and other times she just refuses to sleep. After her 2am feed it is almost always impossible to get her to sleep in her own bed again so that is when she often ends up sleeping with us so we can get some sleep. It's strange though, because at bedtime she will go down in her own bed for at least 4 hours, sometimes longer, and she has no issue with it then. Who knows what the problem is!

jen - I am going to try and wait til DD is 6 months before starting solids. She has started to stare at me when I am eating and make chewing movements with her mouth and she also tries to grab food off me, but she is still quite content with her booby milk. I was going to start her sooner and had everything ready, but the CHN was really strict on waiting til 6 months so I will see how we go. Having said that, almost all the babies at mothers group have been on solids since 4 months! DD drools so much in her JJ I have to put a bib on her, but she absolutely loves it! I was surprised when trying DD in her portacot that she was fine in it, so maybe Amber will be ok if you try her portacot, at least I hope so!

DD has been gorgeous today, smiling and laughing all day. This is such a cute age! If only she would sleep better at night, I would be loving it!

Have a great weekend everyone
