Gill - I have this at times and over the past two days as well (however more because Caleb has had a bit of gastro this time) I went and bought a baby bjorn carrier and its wonderful, it allows him to fall asleep on me and i can still do other things (like eat lunch!!!!) I was against it at first because i didnt like the idea of him not sleeping in bed but at this young stage its harmless, i think they just have their clingy days where they just want to be with mum/dad.
Like i said the only thing i have found to work is the carrier for me and when hes really asleep i can either just leave him there and continue on or put him down to sleep in his bed.
Good luck hun!
Well as for me, like i said we have had a bit of gastro and its made him not sleep well, we have elevated the top part of his bed so that hes not lying completely flat (to help with the wind) and given him some gripe water. Last night we decided to go for a long drive around 9pm and it put him to sleep so well that he slept for 5 hours!!!! it was wonderful. I havent had time to do anything lately because his sleeping is out the window but his wind seems to be being "released" so the gripe water must be working (although he absolutely hates the taste of it and gags and spits it back up when we give it to him)
