Hi Everyone,
My body is being treated like a holiday resort as of today - I really am interested in what triggers labour and how the baby or body knows it is time - because consciously I am over it.
Bindy and Jo - my 1st and 3rd son's had blocked tear ducts.
My third son was worse in terms of controlling infection and the length of time he had it - his eye continually watered and would get infected (despite massage, breast milk did help though - esp. with the reddening around his eye), people always asked about it because his eye was always watery and red. We used antibiotics on and off to control it, antibiotics you're not meant to use for more than a few days.
His eye finally cleared up completely around 6 months ago (it was all of a sudden). It was getting to the point where our GP said he would have to go off to a specialist to have treatment - but I am glad we gave it some more time - apparently the op doesn't always work and it can flare back up again. I think you are not able to take bubby for the surgery until after 6 months, however I got told it generally clears up by around the 12 month mark on its own.
