    Hey gang,

Celeste had a really unhappy day yesterday too Jess. She didnt really sleep or feed properly all day. She was too hungry to sleep properly but too tired to feed without falling asleep. If she was in her bed she would wake up 5mins later and I had to hold her. In the end I just held her for a couple of hours so she would get a decent bit of sleep. She didnt really settle properly till 11pm but slept till 6.30am so that was a good catch up for her. Hope he finds it better today. I reckon its this horrible heat doing it even tho our house is aircon.

Jo, Celeste is having her needles on thursday 20th. Just got in b4 easter. DR wanted to do them on 19th but that is my birthday and I said no way was I going to torture my baby on my birthday hehehe. Will have DH home over easter to help if she is unhappy for a few days too.

Mary, how good was Addy on the plane!?! That's great news. Hope you are having a great time. WOW at AF coming back at 6wks. Gawd, my spotting only just stopped then from birth! Hope mine doesnt come back for ages as they are so painful for me. Wonder if she keeps sleeping for so long at night (BF) if that will trigger it?

April, Bodie in 00. wow thats impressive. Celeste still fits half of her 0000 stuff. Some 000 fits but only in length and cause she wears cloth nappies that fill it up more too.

Bindy. Holy cow on that weight. Thats fantastic! Celeste weighed exactly 4kg at almost 7weeks. Imagine the two of them together! HEHE.

Nik, Yeah I agree, lets compare length for a bit hehehe. Celeste is in the 25% range for length: she was 54cm at almost 7wks up from 48cm at birth. With her weight she is now up to the bottom 10% range at 4.0kg then. Im happy with that cause she did drop to the bottom 5% at one stage. She will just be a slim girl which I was till I started filling out in mid highschool. She looks long and thin even her fingers but DH and I both have really long fingers too.

Hello everyone, come back and visit when you have time!

    Hi ladies,

Had a good morning. MIL came over to watch Amy and I went to the gym. Felt so good to be exercising again and am feeling fitter already and I've only been twice! wanna get rid of this pot belly!

Jess - Amy is feeding 5-6 times per day. She's started finishing almost every 140ml bottle over yesterday and today so cross my fingers, her appetite is increasing. I know what you mean about the carriers being confusing. It took me ages to get the hang of ours!! Amy's had a couple of days like you're having with Jaylen. It could definitely be the heat. Maybe a semi cool bath might settle him?? Who knows!? these little ones definitely test our powers of mind reading don't they!? Hehhehe. I hope he settles soon for you x

April - bummer about AF. I've been wondering about when mine will come back. should probably start taking tampons with me when I go out just in case! There are definitely more clothes for girls out there than boys. Although Trade Secret has a fair bit for boys....

Mary - Wow, 6 weeks. My bleeding had only just stopped then too! What a bummer. So glad Addy was good for you on the plane. Would have been a nightmare otherwise!

Jo - hope you enjoyed ironing. I hate ironing. I do it when I need to....and Mark does his own. Heheheh. So therefore he goes out a lot with unironed clothes on hehehehe

Sazz - so glad amy isn't the only small bub here. yeah i've just been telling myself that both mark and i were never big and all our relatives aren't big....hope celeste is more settled today.

i'm gonna go now. got a migraine which is hard to get rid of when youre at a baby's beck and call! xxx nik and amy

Nik, good on you for going to the gym! I've been walking all week, it makes you feel so much better. I am really wanting to shift this belly too...it's like a pudgy thing below my belly button...GO AWAY I say...! That's great with Amy feeding 5-6 times a day and 140mL, well done! Madeleine is now on 220mL a day about 6 times in 24 hours, she is a little guts. It doesn't take them long to increase it and you find she'll keep sucking the bottle at the end of the 140mL!

Hi to everyone else, hope you are all well.

    Bindy and Madeleine xx

Sazz- we could got in before easter but decided to leave the needles until after easter. Dont blame you for not wanting to torture your princess on your birthday, birthdays are for relaxing & enjoying the day, not going to drs to cry more than bubs when she gets her needles.

Nik- Yeah i got my ironing done, started at 6am and i'd finished by 7am, didnt really enjoy it but it stopped Chris whinging he didnt have an ironed work shirt haha, no way would he think of doing the ironing himself heavens forbid i'd fall over in shock.

Sorry for the lack of personals.

Kate- How did the GP? did you go/take BTK?.

Footy is back on WOOHOO, ive been DYING for something decent to watch on Friday nights. Sophies was feeding every 3 hrs yesterday and today shes gone 3 or 4 hrs. We had to vote for some mayor thing today, dont know alot about it but i went and voted and mark 1 on each piece of paper. Sophie's been sleeping well between feeds i put the webcam on her this morning so my family in Sydney could see her and they couldnt believe how much shes grown since they seen her last month, the poor octopus on the activity mat bars above her head cops the brunt of most of her hits its cute.

Well going to watch footy, my team just won so going to see how the rest of my footy tips go.

    Chat soon lovely ladies.

    Hiya

Well my little girl laughed at me this morning for the first time, I was blowing raspberries into the side of her neck, ahhhh, it was the lovliest sound.

Jess, your friend should be letting you sleep! Not staying there until 3.30am! Man, you must have been really tired. I know I would have been. I had days where Madeleine wouldn't let me put her down either, they just want to still be so close to you at this time that's all.

Well just a question, what did everyone do with their maternity payment from the government? Ours is still in the bank and I think I might open up an account for Madeleine and pop it in there. I saw something on the news about the government taking it away, I agree that some people use it to their own advantage (to buy plasma tv's and the like - Today Tonight had a story on it one night too about this) - I think some people just have babies to get the money! Annoys me a bit....

Well have a great day everyone.

    Hi all!

Just got back from another weekend away. Was only 1.5 hours drive so wasn't too bad. Bodie slept both times so that was good.

Mary: No good about AF arriving 6 weeks after, hope they don't become regular for you. Hope your having a nice time away.

Bindy: With our maternity payment we have just put it towards house bills & food. I get annoyed too with people just having bubs for the money. That's a good idea about putting it in an account for Madeleine, and woohoo for her first laugh... how cute!

    Hi ladies,

Hope your weekend has been good. Ours has been pretty cruisy which is nice. We might be venturing up to Noosa this week. Mark has some work on up there so it will be our first night away from home! I'm excited to see how we go. Amy didn't sleep much today. I just gave her a bath and she fell asleep within about 10 min of being put down. Poor little thing is exhausted. She's finally starting to fit into her beautiful little dresses that people bought her when she was first born. I can start dressing her in proper little girl clothes now! Yay! Hehehehe.

Bindy - It's so true that it doesn't take long for them to increase the amount they drink. Amy is averaging about 160ml now! And to think last week I was lucky to get her to finish 120ml! I'm so relieved. How sweet about Madeleine's laugh!! Too cute With our maternity payment, we're using it to cover bills once my maternity leave finishes and we're on one income (I got 9 weeks paid maternity leave) so that I can stay at home with her for longer and not go back to work. I'd love to be able to put it aside......but would rather that I get to look after her for a little longer before going back to work....

Jess - He's probably just wanting lots and lots of cuddles at the moment. Everyone keeps telling me to enjoy it while they want to cuddle you but it does get very tiring when you have a little person attached to you non stop. Does he settle in that carrier?? Trust me that has saved my sanity so many times....once I worked out how to put the thing on!

Jo - hope you enjoyed the footy. Mark is pretty happy it's back on too! I hate it! Hahahah.

Maz - Hope you are doing well. We totally understand how hectic it must be. I'm in awe of you. Time is definitely going quickly. Mateauz and Amy are only one day apart so they'll both be 3 months before we know it!!

April - That's great that Bodie slept for the drive. It's so stressful when they're screaming while you're driving isn't it!? Good to hear you are getting away. I'm really looking forward to it this week.

Well, better get going. Hope you have a good night. I'm sure I'll be back on here tomorrow. I love catching up with you all xxx Luv Nik and Amy

PS put a few new pics up on facebook.....

ah cant catchup on whats been so will go from my last post hehehhe

OH Bindy - I am so jealous that she smiled at you, how truely gorgeous!! I am hanging for it. It makes up for all the crying they do. as for the $$ - we had to buy the third row seats for our explorer so we put it towards that and buying him a new wardrobe. I am also a firm hater of people having children jsut for the money. My nieces (the 2 of them aged 25 and 21) both had their children for the $$ and the pension. Makes me so mad. I dont talk to them or my sister (their mum)...she told them that its ok to sleep with a married man as long as you dont get caught!!! grrr havent spoken to them for 7 years and have no intensions either.
I cant understand them ... I just dont know how people can justify the $$ for a child...its totally disgusting, immoral and degrading. AHhh getting of my soap box now

April - a weekend away - that sounds so nice ahhh was it exciting? did you take heaps of pics?

NIk - I have to look at your pics to see if there's one of her in a dress..I lvoed doing the same with Vy. OH Noosa - I miss living up that way..I use to live in Bundaberg and I miss the life style sometimes. Jed will never move (typical farm boy)

Jess - they cling now, wait until their about 18 motnhs, they dont want a bar of us, they get all independant and have tantrams when they dont get their way..well thats Vyolett at the moment. Are ou still BF? or have you gone totally formual?

Kate - might have to put thursday on hold yet hun...my inlaws are coming to the hospital and they always want to meet my friends...drives me insane cause they take over conversations..so might be best to leave it to another time. will call you

Queen hun were are you hiding these days and Tiff ???

Better go, one handed typing and ive had let down which has soaked my nitie...dame friggen waster if you ask me!

Had a really bad night with Madeleine, she normally sleeps through and has been for weeks now but she kept waking up and squirming in the bed so much last night and had a feed at 3am which was a bit unusual. She has a bit of a congested nose and didn't sleep at all through the day yesterday. Could this have contributed to her restless night sleep, anyone know or have experienced this? Then I awoke at 7.30am and there was poo everywhere! All over the sheets and doona cover and it has gone onto the mattress (silly me forgot to put the mattress protector on the other day LOL!)...so I cleaned her up, put the sheets and doona cover in the wash, hung it all out and now it's raining! DRATS!!

She didn't poo yesterday at all...perhaps that's why she had such a restless night, I'm stumped to know what caused it!

    Sorry for the selfish post....

    Morning ladies,

Should be doing chores but couldn't help myself and came on here. Not much news here. Amy has officially had three days of only waking once at night so I'm crossing my fingers that it's now a routine! She's 10 weeks today. Amazing how quickly time is going.

Maz - haven't had a chance to take pics of Amy in her dresses yet cos I only put the first one on her yesterday to see if it would fit and it did! I promise to take one of her in her next dress hehehehe. I don't understand people who have babies for the money. It's not really that much money when you think about it....

Jess - Hope today is better for you. It could be the heat....could be anything really....a growth spurt.....Amy had a ridiculously unsettled day yesterday. not crying all day but just whinging all day and wouldn't sleep. Things change every day don't they!?

Bindy - You poor things. Poor Madeleine. I know that Amy has some times when she's really unsettled for a while and then she does a big poo and she's fine. Amy doesn't enjoy her bowel movements that's for sure. Sounds like that's what happened with Madeleine. Poor little thing. Dam'n the rain! That's just happened to me too!! Bummer.....

Well, nothing much else to report here so may as well go do my chores. Have a great day ladies xxx Nik and Amy

OMG Ladies the last 3 days Sophie has been averaging between 2-4hrs between feeds her bottles are 160-170mls she doesnt always take the whole lot other times she does but the last 2 nights shes had a feed at our normal dinner time (6-8pm) and within 2 hours shes taken another bottle the 1st night she took 70mls and last night she took 160mls! and last night she slept from 9-9.30pm until 4.30am when Chris got up to get ready for work couldnt believe it!. She been such a garbage guts lately which i've just put down to the growth spurt.

We went out yesterday to watch our (Chris') newphew play trial rugby league games and it rained for about 10mins i ended up getting soaked Sophie slept the whole time in the pram and missed it all. I put a toy on her pram this dog/horse playgro thing and she was mesmorised by it she was giggling and smiling at it, i hadnt put toys on her pram before now because shes slept in the pram the whole time we've been out lately shes been waking up while were out.

Jess- i hope for your sake you're experiencing the last of the heat. Sorry to hear Jaylen has been unsettled for you, it might just be the heat or he just wants lots of cuddles.

Nik- Arent dresses so much more prettier once they are on little girls. i've only put Sophie in 1 dress so far when she was still in 000's, not sure how many 000's dresses i have i'll have to check the wardrobe. I put Sophie in her 1st pair of jeans the other day she looked so cute they were a little short actually.

Bindy- i'm sorry to hear you had a bad night with Madeleine. Sophie doesnt poo everyday and when she does it doesnt trouble her now since we changed formulas (from s26 to Nan 1 Gold from birth). We spent half our baby bonus on the rent & the rest on stuff for Sophie, shopping & other bills. I would never in my life think about having a baby just for the money & i look down upon those out there that are doing its just wrong.

Maz- Good that you found a spare 5mins to come and post. Did that money show up in your account? Thanks again for that stuff, if we can help out in any other ways let us know.

April- nice one on the weekend away. Not sure when we'll first venture away from home yet. Can i ask what did Bodie sleep in? Porta cot or something else curiousity killed the cat.....

    Kate- How was the GP??

Well going to find something to eat and make a cuppa.

Ok I really need to vent. Just got off the phone to MIL and I'm really upset. I told her that we were probably going to Noosa and she got offended because it means that she can't come around and see Amy. I don't want to have to run things past her every time we go somewhere just in case she wants to see Amy. I said that she'd see her on Saturday and she said "Once a week isn't enough. It might be for you, but it's not enough for me". She's just got no tact that woman. She frustrates me so much. And I don't know why, but I'm so upset by what she said. I knew this would happen. DH and I have always just done what we want to do. We've never run things past people before we've done it ie going away for the weekend, we've just done it. I don't want to have to take MIL's feelings into consideration if we feel like getting away as a family. Geez, I understand that Amy is her grand daughter but far out. God, my family is so much easier to deal with than DH's. SIL is going back overseas on Sunday and MIL said "SIL needs to see Amy too before she leaves" as if I've been stopping her from seeing Amy. It's not my responsibility to invite people over. If they want to come, they can give me a call. I have enough to worry about at the moment. I just feel like crying.....I don't want this to become a common theme. I will end up losing it. She's our daughter and we'll do what we like as a family....OUR FAMILY which doesn't include the grandparents for EVERYTHING!! Ok, I'm done venting. Thank you for reading......sorry.

Jo - go Sophie on the growth spurt! Jeans would look soooooooooo cute! I love dresses on little girls. Just adorable. Amy's starting to be interested in her toys too. So fun.

Ok, I'm going now. I'm posting way too much at the moment. xx Nik and Amy

oH Nik hon - I think your DH needs to stepo up and tell his mother that you guys are a family unit and that she needs to back of and let you be a mum and him a dad. Really does she expect you to run past her when you $hit last? Go away ont he weekend and enjoy your family outing. She'll get over it, she had no choice - Amy is YOUR daughter not her's. But I must say I am jealous that your MIL atleast wants to see her...mine makes no real effort and it hurts my kids ehaps.

Jo - yes babe got the $$ let me know when you get the package. I hope the stuff fits.

Bindy - yes Mateauz has a stuffed up nose in the mornings...he sounds like a bush pig snorting away.

Jess - oh any excuse to go shopping...what did you get her?

hello toher yummy mummies out there

i went to the op shop today and bought a baby bjorn looking thing for $4 and a breast feeding pillow for $10 - they were both brand new. Oh and a playgro pram toy for $2 cause the ribbon was off...ah how hard for me to fix NOT

and it is with very sad news that I announce that my little man is now in his cot..out of the bassinet for good. He is moving around to much and rolling on his side so it was time to fold it up and put it away. Sort of depressed me knowing that I wont be having another baby in it. ahhhh off to sulk for a bit.

Jo: When we went away we took a porta-cot. He was really good in it. Better than expected. The matress on it was really hard so we just put a thick blanket under it.

Nik: Ahhhhh reading your vent made me angry at your MIL. She definately needs to lay off a bit. My mum gets a bit like that too. She tries and organises family occasions all the time, but because DF works heaps and doesn't get to see Bodie much he just wants to have our family time too. He gets angry alot with my mum. His mum is soooo laid back, she's awesome.
Yay for Noosa! I can't wait to get up there!

Bindy: Hope Madeleine gives you a big sleep tonight. *hugs*
