    Hi ladies,

Amy is actually sleeping in her rocker without being wrapped. She must be zonked! I don't have to put her in her carrier this morning! Yay! We've got clinic this morning to get her weighed so I didn't want to put her in her bed wrapped cos it really wakes her up when I unwrap her. not much to tell really. Had a good day out yesterday. Went to see my midwife and then went to Trade Secret. i had a $160 voucher from work and managed to spend the entire thing on Amy! I got some of the most gorgeous clothes you have ever seen. I bought some bigger stuff too cos she's growing out of things quickly now. It was fun and Amy was soooooo good. Then we went for a walk yesterday afternoon and Amy didn't cry until we were around the corner from home. So stoked. She was fascinated by the trees and everything, so fun!!

Jess - how did Jaylen's weight go? bummer you aren't feeling well. Hope everything improves soon! I'm going to put Amy in her cot after 12 weeks cos at the moment when she gets her arms out she's banging the sides with her arms. They do look tiny in the cot don't they!?

Kate - hope the weather doesn't get you too down.

Maz - good to hear from you. hope things are toooooo hectic.

ok, i'm gonna go do some chores. Amy just put herself back to sleep so might have another half hour if I'm lucky. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Might go outside and get some sun today.....might head down to the beach for a walk.....

    Luv Nik and Amy xx

    Hi laddies!

Soo sorry I haven't been on in like.... what seems years! I actually made 2 huge reply posts last week and each time my puter shut down! ok so I guess I had a few programs and about 20 windows open

Anyway I just wanted to see how everyone was doing I have stalked you girls a few times when I get the chance and tried to catch up on your posts. I'm glad everyone is doing ok.
Luca and I are doing really well, he has his 8 week check today at 2 so I'll let you know how he goes. He's graduated from newborn huggies to infants this week although he could have gone earlier cause I could see his butt crack my guess is he would be close to 5kg now eeek! he's in the 000's. I had my 6 week check that took all of 2mins lol I guess that's a good sign everythings ok. I have my follow up diabetes test next week which I'm not looking forward to, imagine they tell me no chocolate for the rest of your life??
Anyway I've been busy working on my website trying to look like I work from home HAHA! btw if anyone is interested in any free advertsing let me know

I will pop in again soon miss you gals

Jess, Madeleine co-sleeps with us hun. She does look big in her cot (even though she weighed in at 6.3kg at Week 7 - she's a chubba bubba). She has never liked her cot, no matter how much I try. She'll sleep in a bouncer now and again through the day and with us at night for now. We'll see how she goes when she is older. I bond so much with her when she sleeps with me though.

    Hope everyone else is well.

I might weigh Madeleine today at the local chemist, she's 9 weeks so it will be interesting to see how much she weighs!

good to hear from u maz n tiff!

    just a few questions
    1. since its hot as lately i might start giving jaylen cooled boiled water, how much can u give them?
    2. im bit worried bout how much formula hes having, hes having 180mls, usually leaves about 10-20mls, says on the tin thats meant for a 4 month old, but hes screaming again in about 2-3 hours, is this normal?
he seems to be crying heaps more now in the daytime... hardly sleeps and i always hav 2 be holding him or right nxt 2 him..

    Hey Ladies
I had a lazy day on the lounge yesterday and just played with Sophie & bathed her as she is more awake during the morning these last few days but still sleeps which i'm thankful for so i can get things done around the house.

Well TMI but we've DTD for the first time last night and didnt need any extra lube and it hurt to begin with & felt like i was going to tear but all was good and no after effects thankgod.

Oh and another thing i stopped BF two weeks ago and decided to have a bra free day because i'm absolutely sick of wearing bra and my BB's leaked a little bit last night so i had to put the bra back on with the breast pads.

Havent tried Sophie in her cot as yet as she still fits into her bassinette. Sophie too is in Infant nappies & ooo's clothes, she could have been in infant nappies for a week or two now but i was trying to use up the newborns i had left (didnt succeed still have half a bag), but now shes in the infants the newborns look SO small.

Jess- with the cooled boiled water i was told to offer Sophie 60mls and each time i have shes taken about 30mls and not wanted any more. Sophie is suppose to have 160mls (according to the tin i use) and she'll sometimes take the wholelot, sometimes she'll take 100mls and other times she takes between 120-140mls, depends how hungry she is i guess.

Sorry for the lack of personals will teach me to have a lazy day wont it.

Jess, I have never rolled onto Madeleine. I put her in an anti-roll pillow anyway but it's strange how motherly instinct makes you wake immediately when they wake. There are safe ways to co-sleep but I was scared in the beginning too!

Bonham, talking of sizes, Madeleine is wearing "00" clothes and in "crawler" huggies nappies....what a CHUBBA she is!!!!

jo - well done on DTD hehe!! yer jaylen is in the infant nappies, but i think he will grow out of them soonish too! and hes in 000 but again i think he will grow out of them soon too

hmm wonder why hes being so unsettled 2day, i feed him, put him down, and he screams, have to be holding him all the time? prob normal but im so used to putting him down after a feed and he goes to sleep lol!

Jess, that's right, if he loves his bassinette, then great! Madeleine loved hers at first too and then wasn't interested anymore. The only way she'll sleep from 10pm-6am is with us now, little rascall she is...sorry Jaylen is unsettled today, probably just wants lots of cuddles from Mummy! I know Madeleine never lets me leave her sight! She is in her bouncer and I leave the room for a second and she whinges for me to come back! Ahhhh....gotta love em...

Bindy- wow '00' already! she is a chubba isnt she (no offence).

Jess- thanks, i was a little scared to start with. Some of Sophies '000' are big others are smaller guess it depends where they are bought from. Sorry Jaylens being unsettled for you, is it warm/hot there? maybe try giving him a bath on warm/hot days i give Sophie a bath and it calms her down and she'll sleep afterwards but in saying that what works for one baby might not work for another. Sophie loves her bassinette especially when its time to wake up she kicks the wrap i have over her off and then manages to get out of being wrapped up no matter how tight i wrap her haha little monkey.

bindy, yer jaylens like that too, hates me being out of his sight, and i think it was u who said the other day, that an inlaw was holding her and she was just gazing at u?! jaylen does that to, soooo cute! MHN even said yesterday, 'GOD look at him looking at you, loves his mummy!' lol!

yer its a bit hot here jo, tried giving him cooled boiled water b4 and he hated it, oh well lol... put him in his cot b4 and put the music mobile on, and hes asleep yay! dont know whether its the mobile that put him to sleep or the fact its a bit cooler downstairs or theres no noise down there or he likes the cot, i dont know lol... its the bets mobile, its the fisher price rainforest ones, plays the cutest songs and has rainforest sounds and moving animals and leaves ect... was $80 so thats not too bad

    Hey ladies,

well, I've decided that weighing babies is a big load of cra'p once they've reached their birth weight. No matter how much Amy eats she just doesn't seem to pile it on! I don't understand!! we went and had her weighed this morning and she'd only put on 90g but she was due for a feed and had done two big poos this morning. So if I'd gone earlier in the morning straight after a feed, she probably would have weighed at least 200g more! It all depends on when you weigh them! I'm just so over worrying about it. She only weighs 4.5kg and hearing about how much all your bubs weigh and they're younger than her makes me think something is wrong. But she's such a happy baby, she's sleeps well and she doesn't cry after she's had a feed so I can only assume she's eating her fill. So I'm just going to tell myself that she's not a big eater (like her mum) and she's got a fast metabolism (like I USED to have hehehe). At least that will put my mind at ease. I can't make her eat more than she does. She's supposed to be having 180ml now at her age but I'm lucky if she finishes 120ml. but then other times she'll have more....so I'm just confused and totally over it!
Amy's in infant nappies too and just starting to fit into her 000's although some of them are still a bit big. We've got more clothes to choose from now though which is pretty fun!
Just a question....how long are all your bub's now or when they were last measured? Amy was 57cm at 8 weeks. Just interested in the differences in lengths of bubs rather than concentrating on weights for a change! Hehehe.

Tiff - great to hear from you. Glad everything is going well. I've got to have my GTT too but keep putting it off cos it takes so long! hehehe.

Bindy - weight is definitely one thing you don't have to worry about! Can Amy borrow some of Madeleine's weight? ;-)

Jess - that's great about jaylen's weight. I wouldn't worry about the amount of formula he's having. He's just got a big appetite which is the opposite of Amy! I guess no matter what we always worry. If you're worried, give the child health clinic a call. I'm not sure about the water situation. I'm not giving Amy any cos I haven't seen anything that says you must and no one has told me I should.....and she's seems happy without it.....Amy's has had a couple of days like that. I just put her in that carrier and carry her around everywhere with me when she's like that.....kills my back eventually but it stops her from crying! heheheh.

Well, better get going and do some stuff around the house. I was going to go for a walk after clinic but her weight upset me too much so I came home. I can't believe it's 1pm already! Luv ya ladies xx Nik and Amy

Jo - Yay on DTD!! Lazy days are fun aren't they!?

nik - yer as long as shes doing lots of wees and poos and drinking what she likes it should be fine! yer jaylens such a pig. drinks 180mls and wants more sometimes.. how often does amy feed?
i havent had jaylen mesured since birth, just weighed, might roughly mesure him later when hes awake, wouldnt mind knowing lol!
i bought a carrier thing, and i cant figure out how to work it, i put it on and clip it all 2gether ect but theres press studs that look like they are supposed to go 2gether, but they dont... so no idea

ohh the house is starting to heat up never heats up until about now...
need to go to the chemist but theres nooo way im leaving the house hehe

Just a quick one ladies, as we're about to go late night shopping.

The dreaded AF came back today. Seems like she's been away foreva! Oh well. It's not as bad as I thought it would be. Have got slight cramps but nothing out of the ordinary. I guess all you girls BF won't get AF for a while (lucky ducks!).

Nik: Thats great Amy's starting to fit into 000's. Like Jess said if she's doing lots of poo's & wee's and drinking what she can she'll be fine. I bet she looks adorable in the new clothes you brought her. There's so many nicer girls clothes out there than boys clothes. I got one of Bodie's 00 bodysuits today & it fit him! What a chubber! hehe
I got Bodie measured a few weeks ago, and now I can't remember what it was! Baby brain! I will get back to you on that. Will have to check his blue book.

    Anyway we're off now...

Hope you are all going well.

    Hi everyone
Perth holiday is going well, slipped into DH office to check emails quickly. Glad everyone is great.

Addy was great on the plane- fed, slept fed and slept- almost a 5 hour flight so that was good.

April- Unfortunately fully BF is not necessarily a ticket for no periods. Mine came back at 6 weeks. I had 3 days of heavy, but painfree bleeding. My ob says its normal and they may not be regular etc so I may not know when the next one will hit!

    Better go, hugs to everyone

SO sick of this heat... have to go out 2day, but will wait till a bit later i think... the guy in the unit down the back on my house moved out last week, so theres people down there mowin the lawns ect, like 3 cars taking up the driveway so im not going anywhere anytime soon by the looks of it.. hope i get someone good in there... will skitz out if they are noisy...

jaylen just HAS to be held or he screams, is anyone elses bubs like this, i feed him, put him in the bouncer and he screams, then i will sit there 4 a while and he'll be fine, but then he'll start crying again!?

Nik- Lazy days are fun, except DF whinged i didnt iron his work shirts, oh well cant do everything haha, but i ironed them this morning after Sophies 6am feed so whinge no more he will do. A week ago at 6weeks Sophie measured at 55cm, havent got her weighed & measured this week but will next week. As the other girls have said as long as Amy is weeing, pooing & drinking shes doing fine.

Jess- if Jaylen doesnt take the boiled water now dont stress about it, try again maybe between a feed if he seems to be hungry. But good one that he went to sleep in the cot with the mobile going. I cant say Sophie screams unless she's being held but she does have a clingy day every so often. Hopefully you get some nice neighbours who dont clog the driveway.OMG i seen the weather forecast this morning 40degrees for Melb i feel SO sorry for you Melb girls.

Mary- glad the flight went well & your enjoying the holiday.

April- sorry that AF reared her ugly head. I dont know if ill get AF for a while because i got my depovera (sp?) injection last friday and with that i dont get AF for 3months will wait and see. Wow 00 for Bodie.

We had to change our dr appt for 8week needles as they booked it for Fri 21st (hello good friday) so had to reschedule it for Tues 25th.
