Well Victoria was awake at 1.30am, 3, 4.30am and a sleep at 9.30 cause i put her in the sling & took Alex for his morning walk to the shops and then for the rest of today the only time she'll sleep is on the boob & she's had 10 feeds already.
at least DP is finishing earlier these days so he can at least keep Alex amused & i can try and relax

Oh no Morgan, hope you get some better sleep tonight.

Nic, how was shopping? The movie I saw on Saturday was The Jane Austin Club. It was cute. The male lead just made us go 'awww' all the time.

Well Rory, Lauren and I had a great time wandering around HIghpoint today. The two little boys looked very handsome ;-) My little Olivia was not a young lady though, she kept pulling her dress up!

    Hi everyone!

Trish - I'd go the flick behind the ear if I were you (on Brandon). Not only does it hurt like hell but it has the full embarrassment factor. He's probably a bit big for you to put him over your knee and spank him.

Alicia - glad you guys had a good day - even if your young lady was being a little show-off.

Liz - all babies are well behaved when their parents have a steady supply of babysitters at the ready. It's part of the baby operating system. Last time my family saw Euan he slept all day.

Nic - hope you had a good shopping fix and that Olivia's cold is not too bad. Poor little bubba.

    Everyone else - hi!!!

Euan has been ace lately. He's settled into a bit of a routine (Arrgh, not the R word, I've jinxed myself now) and is much happier for sleeping during the day. He settles for the night by 10:00, and has been waking up between 6:30 and 7:00am. Nice! I attempt a dreamfeed at around 11ish and it all works quite well. He mostly self settles with a little assistance during the day but is usually at his stroppiest after his afternoon nap to the time he goes down at night, so his night sleep still takes a little persuasion. But we are getting there (until it all changes again!). Today we had mum's group at the CHC and he was very very cute and fell asleep in my arms. Awwww.

The coolest thing is that he has now discovered that his hand belongs to him and that he can tell it what to do (although it still hits him in the head from time to time when he's not paying attention).

    Hi guys...

So sorry i haven't been on for a while... things are just a bit out of control with Parents and ILs going to one Dr or another and i had to take Chrissie to Dr to get her eye checked as it's still really gluggy and crusty all the time!! Apparently it's blocked tear ducts and nothing to worry about, just need to keep washing it like we do with sterile water etc...! It should go away before she's 1!!! yeah great, so gluggy crusty eyes until then!?!? hmmmm

AND I TOTALLY FORGOT that today was THE day to meet you girl!! I'm SOOO SORRY!!!!!

AND the terrible part is (and i feel SO BAD) that our Dr is at HIGHPOINT! so i WAS there at 12, as her appointment was at 12:30 and i saw 3 ladies with prams walking into Big W and i thought " hey maybe they are meeting up like we are?!" I CAN'T BELIEVE IT COULD HAVE BEEN YOU GUYS!!

so upset AND ****ED at myself!

Talk about unsettled today Olivia has NOT slept decently today maybe 5 min or 10 min here and there.... right now she is screaming her heart out and nothing I am doing is settling her down....

Meant to be preparing dinner right now and older daughter is being a right pain demanding food..

Trish I meant to write to you earlier but it slipped my mind. My 15yo nephew was skipping school a lot last year and in the end dropped out. His parents told him to do something so he did an apprenticeship. He lasted 2 weeks and is now back at school. Working was way too hard for him! Hope Brandon doesn't give you too much grief this week :-)

Morgan: I hope you get a decent rest tonight and your boobies too It gets better. I would be inclined to say Victoria could be having a growth spurt.. It passes but sucks while its here

Alicia: I don't think I have heard of that movie. Glad it was good though Shopping was ok. We didn't stay long. I didn't realize Olivia wasn't well till we were shopping and she started sneezing

Glad you guys enjoyed your get together..

Suse: The coolest thing is that he has now discovered that his hand belongs to him and that he can tell it what to do (although it still hits him in the head from time to time when he's not paying attention). This made me laugh. Olivia does the same thing

Haroula: what a shame you forgot. next time though Great Growing chrissy

Teena: sorry Olivia has been unsettled. I hate days like that as well. and I am so hearing ya on annoying older children. I am sure mine are out to test every button

Well I am feeling pretty ordinary tonight. not sick but just blergh. I am so disappointed that Olivia has a cold. (cus I am BF and I thought she was covered) She is the first of my babies to be unwell at such a young age and I don't know what to do. She didn't even cry today I know how silly that sounds but she was just so quiet and simply fed or slept or lay on the floor or in our arms. We ended up giving her a dose of panadol tonight as she looked dreadful. Her eyes were so red and she wouldn't stop sneezing. That seemed to pick her up a bit and she smiled a bit and talked loudly to the fan. Then she decided it was bedtime and fed for ages then fell asleep as did I on the couch.. If she is all snuffly tomorrow should I take her to the Dr or just leave it as it is just a cold?

Nic, huge hugs to both you and Olivia (just don't breath on me ok) It is heartbreaking when your babies get sick. I was the same with Tehya when she ended up in hosp at 11 weeks (omg Abbeys age now) she had bronchilitis which turned into pneumonia and ended up in the kids hosp on a drip. I too thought that as she was breastfed she shouldn't get ill. What a fool I was. Not saying that you are too of course. Ahhhh Talkign in circles. Anyway. Don't leave her too long, get her checked over by your GP, hopefully it is only a cold. Have you got Fess for her. Heaps better than having her struggle for a feed due to a blocked up nose.

Alicia, my 15 year old dropped out of school at 15, but not before he wrecked it for himself. A week ago he called his old school and asked if he could go back, they told him there were no positions available for him Work is too hard for him too, and now that his mates have all finished he's hanging out with them all day. As for Brandon, God only knows what I am going to do with him. At his age, thankfully, dropping out is not an option.

Teena and Haroula, have your gp's told you to massage your babies tearduct ? Just use your pinky and do little circular movements underneath their eye close to the duct, this will help to clear it out. My nephew has a blocked duct and even now at 11 months has issues with crusty, gunky eyes, Looks shocking. Poor bubba's.

Great growing there too Chrissie. Clever girl.

Suse, PMSL at poor Euan and his hands. It's even better when he get's bigger and you put a rattle in his hand for him to hit himself with WooHoo on the R word too. It's nice when things run smoothly hey.

Morgan, I hope the sleep fairy visits you guy's tonight.

Teena, how dare that child demand to be fed Mine are the same too. Always when I sit down to feed Abbey they want food, or Tehya want's her bum wiped. Ahhh the joys hey.

Do any of your babies pull their own hair ? Abbey has done this pretty much since birth and screams like nothing else when she does it, which results in her fist getting clenched tighter and harder for me to stop her pulling it. Not sure how I can stop it, short of shaving her head or putting mittens on her.

Abbey has been pretty good today, although I know I am going to have a crap one tonight. I should be in bed already. She fell asleep early tonight, but only after having a restless and grumpy afternoon. She pooed all through her bed so I had to strip and bath her, strip her bed too. Just what I need, more washing.

Ok, best be off, the washing machine has finished now so I can chuck my jeans in the drier. Having a little meet up with some other bb girls tomorrow. Liz, it's still on hun if you want to catch up

Trish - Hugs to you. A flick on the ear and a clip on the head should do the trick.

Nic/Trish - I have an annoying sore throat and horrible eyes too!!!

Well I had a really "sh@t" day today. Sara was being so demanding and naughty she and has reverted back to weeing in her undies after 1 week of being completely dry!!!! Oh yeah she would not go down for a sleep either, mean while miss Loren would not sleep and was cranky all day. She finally did a mamoth poo around 6pm, at which time I thought that she would settle but oh no. It is 11.30pm and she is strapped to me in the hope that I can put her down very soon for the night.

Loren had her needles last Friday and has not been happy ever since. She weighed in at 4.8kgs. Crossing fingers that tomorrow will be better...oh dear our first day back at playgroup. I hope Sara does not run wild like she always does.

Awww Bek, a return hug for you sweety. Sounds like you had a fun old day. The regression is completely normal when there's a new baby in the house. Just another thing to drive us mad and more for us to do. Keep up with taking Sara to the toilet and her praise and hopefully it will be short loved and she will be dry again for you.

I hope that Loren settled for you and your still sleeping now.

I have been slack, still haven't gotten Abbey's needles yet. Might get them on Friday. As I expected I was up and down last night with Abbey. I just shoved more boob into her to make her go back to sleep. She's still in bed now, but of course Tehya is up.

Best go and get showered while I can. Have a good one girls

Bek: Did Loren have the rota virus vacc? Olivia was horrendous after her needles. 4 hours after she got them she started screaming and then was fine the next da and then horrible for 3-4 days after that. Just really unsettled. I have put it down to a reaction to te RV vacc and the CHN agreed. I hope she starts to settle soon.. As for Sara that will pass. Jacob sometimes has wet days and he has be TT since September. Drives me batty but I know he will stop it soon

Trish: Gosh I hope Olivia doesn't get sick like that. How scary. thankfully Olivia doesn't have a blocked nose and is feeding really well still

We had a good night, Olivia woke at 2 and was back in bed asleep by 2:30 and woke again at 5:30 and is super cheerful Big smiles. Still sneezing a fair bit. Jacob is 90% better but now SImon has it. Hopefully Isaac and Ethan remain well. Not that it is bad or anything but so annoying.. We have a lot of rain around. It hasn't stopped raining at all for the last 24 hours. More flooding is expected but I don't think it will flood where we are.

Well better get these kidlets some breakky. Poor dh is curled up on the couch he has a cold you know

Poor poor DH. Man's flu I suspect ?? I was wondering about the RV vaccine too. I was thinking that I wasn't going ot give it to Abbey. At the end of the day it's just like diahorreah (sp) I think with proper cleanliness it can be avoided anyway. Besides the rest of my kids survived with neither the vaccine nor ever gettingthe virus itselt. Seem's that it does more harm than good. Just my opinion of course.

Abbey is still asleep, Noah and Tehya are having breakfast, well they are supposed to be, and we are both showered and dressed. I better go and put my face on before Abbey wakes up.

Rv can be fairly serious! We were debating giving Olivia the 4months one but after talking with the CHN we have decided to. She put it this way.. 4 days of discomfort from the vaccine compared to a possible week of sickness even from a milk dose of RV or death which is what RV can cause.

But in saying that. If she reacts to the 4 months one we will seriously rethink the 6 months one..

Rain rain rain rain Go check out the BOM and click on gladstone. thats us. Well 30km from me

    Hi girls

Haroula - it probably was us - we went into Big W about 1.30pm And I bumped into Lara afterwards - she was planning on coming but got distracted in Target and missed the 12noon meet up time!!

Suse glad Euan is starting on the "R" word

Teena and Haroula - a great way to get rid of the gunky eye is to let them pee on their face LOL!! Seriously, Ollie peed on his face and his gunky eye cleared up in a day.

    Welcome Morgan!!!

Nic don't fret over Olivia's cold - Flynn was BF and had one at about 2 months. I know how you feel though. Trish is right - Fess works a treat.

Bekz hope Sara gets better with the TT. Oh Lordy, we have all that to look forward to. We aren't even trying with Flynn yet - he is in cloth but he still doesn't notice if he's wet or pooey.

Trish is there another school nearby that Joel (?) could go to? It would be a shame if he didn't get to finish school when he really wanted to.

Well yesterday was my first non-coffee day and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Ollie slept like a dream and is good today too. Damn - I was so used to my brewed coffee each morning (and in the arvo!!)

Olie had his first lot of vaccines, (including RV) last Tuesday and didn't really react at all, so we were lucky
