Wow, you girls have been busy! Have been reading posts, but Kaleb always wakes right as I'm about to post, so I am going to go for gold now!

Dach, good to hear from you! Glad to hear you are doing well, and that Yasin is adjusting to Imran's arrival. You will have to keep us up to date on how that goes, as you are my role model - there will be pretty much exactly the same age gap between my two! How are you coping with Yasin after your c/s, with regards to lifting him or him climbing on you? This is my main worry for when the time comes, cos they don't understand why we are suddenly rendered useless!

Tegan, that is a good question. Kaleb has no idea when we talk to him about it now, although he has learned what babies are and can point to them when asked, he has no idea that we will be getting one of our own! I was hoping that having them this close together would eliminate some jealousy, thinking that he'd be too young to really understand, but he has already started getting angry if DH & I cuddle or kiss in front of him. He literally tries to pry us apart and makes these cross noises. Oh well, looks like I've missed the boat on that one! Hmmm, not sure what to suggest with the sippy cup. Kaleb never took to the ones with the spouts, but is happy to drink out of straw cups, so that's all we use.

Mitch, that is very exciting news re: your business venture! Hope gymnastics goes well too. And woohoo for Jess making the 10kg mark! How is Arron's ankle going?

Michelle, how'd you go at Target today? Ours was packed, the 15% off thing I suppose. Got Kaleb some winter PJs, and got myself a pair of glam slippers for hospital, cos they were 30% off. I'm not normally a slipper-wearing person, but I think they'll come in handy this winter. I spent my Sussan's voucher that MIL gave me last bday today too on new PJs. I remember after last birth feeling like [email protected] with the leaky boobs and the bleeding, so this time I'm going to try & counteract it with gorgeous things! Wow, how exciting to be going on a girls weekend, I would be counting down the days! Grrr, IKWYM with the tupperware cupboard...Kaleb empties it out 100 times a day, leaves stuff in the laundry basket, chucks it over the verandah, in his toy box...so much more appealing than his actual toys it seems!

Mel, what a good girl Eliana is! LOL at the chooks! Hope you are feeling 100% now.

Hi to Kellee & Jess, hope you are both having a great week!

Kaleb's latest thing is an aversion to bath time. First he started crying halfway through the bath, then next night as soon as I put him in the water, then next night as soon as I said "bathtime". Have been trying all different things to get him over this, but what seems to be working is a new bath toy (a plastic shape sorter) and me singing to him the entire time he's in there to keep him distracted. It's very strange, because it's not like anything traumatic happened, he just did it out of the blue one night. Oh well, sure keeps me on my toes!

mooshie - have you come up for air with your BDing? fingers crossed the swimmers get to their destination! how cute of lani with the cat food - at least with cans all over the house jay hasnt got to go far to feed the cat -how did lani go at the drs about her foot? one of eliana's ankles turn in but the dr said it was nothing to worry about at this stage as toddlers have a variety of foot problems that sought themselves out - it is great having the farm animals here, we are in granny flat/cabin on 25 acres just near the ettamogah pub so its nice & peaceful & we get wild kangaroos too!

michelle - did jess try out gym yet? i will have to start working things like that into my budget cause i dont want eliana to miss out on things but will wait till she has mastered walking a bit better though her drop & roll is pretty good!

tegan - glad to hear you are going well - how is your pg? funny how they want to run away without a nappy on - if only they were the ones cleaning up any accidents!

dach - congrats again on the arrival of imran - i went & had a look at your website hoping you had posted some photos & you had \/ he looks so tiny next to yasin ( he has grown so much) i love the photo of yasin looking at his little brother - lol at his antics with the baby - funny how they learn so quickly - how are you going now you are home alone? hope everything is going well

jo - has kaleb decided to like baths again? im lucky that eliana loves a bath - she even stands at the bathroom door (have a baby gate on it) & points to the bath a couple of times a day - lol at you having to sing the whole time - well done on getting some nice pj's - i was the same though couldnt wear any of them as the pants all sat on my c-section scar - lol at your washing disappearing over the verandah

im finally starting to feel alive again - havent been up to anything exciting - will be going to brisbane tomorrow till sunday just so eliana can spend some time with her dad & go to his mum's place - eliana is now doing impersonations of a chicken with hands under her arms - not sure where she got it from - my parents gave her a gorgeous rocking horse for her bday but she wont go near till she realised that its a horse like the one outside now i cant get her off it & am hoping the batteries run out soon!!

have a great weekend if i dont get back on

    hi girls

dach - welcome back and imran looks a little cutie. it is quite an adjustment from 1 to 2 but you get there in the end. i had 21mths between my first two and i honestly wondered what i did with just one bubs lol, but yasin and imran will grow up just so close.

mel - the gp said not to worry about lani's foot it will correct itself in good time, in the meantime when she runs if she is not careful she just falls over lol - she just gets straight back up, doesn't phase her. i know the area where you are, that would be nice. we went to the ettamoga (sp) pub a fews times when visiting my bro and sil. have a nice time in brisbane and hope you get a bit of a break. omg how georgous at eliana doing chicken impersonations, she would love that elmo chicken dance toy lol.

jo - didn't get hardly anything from target - boys clothes - ****, especially size 6 and up, really not much at all. so i am going to go to rebel and get him a nike tracksuit. my dh said just go and get a good one that will last and at least look decent enough to wear on the weekends and not look like pj's like the others do. sorry kaleb is being a pain at bath time, he will grow out of it, just keep making it fun. lani is only now giving up and sitting down in the bath and i can now wash her hair with minimal tears, i must say in the past was good to clear out any boogies from her nose when i washed her hair cause she would scream and carry on so much that they all just fell out lol.

tegan - isn't it great when they start talking, soon you will be wanting her to shut up for 5 mins lol. sorry no suggestions on the sipper cup, lani still has her milk at night in a bottle but during the day she has most of her drinks in a straw cup, i have some cheap cups with spouts on them but i don't use them for her yet as she has more fun tipping out the contents and playing with the water everywhere.

michelle - how did the girls enjoy gymnastics - lani was a bit freaked about it all. she doesn't like little people to much lol - loves big kids - loves hanging around school playing and running after the big kids but when a child her own size approaches her - omg she gets really put out. anyway off we go to "nastics" as she calls it and she said car car (she wanted to go home) but we made it fun and i didn't push her, she enjoyed jumping on the trampoline and doing some rolling down wedges, not to keen on the beam or the other equipment and loved the ribbon twirling at the end. i liked it cause basically it was a quick circle thing then the teacher told us what equipment and how to use it and the kiddies could do what they wanted at their own pace. lani is the youngest and i don't think she will get much in the way of "gymnastics" out of it just yet, but i signed her up because she needs to socialise with her own age and build her confidence a bit - it costs $116 a term (10 wks) so $11.60 a lesson is quite steep but it is the same as everything else. going to give her a term and see how we go - she was fasinated by the stamp on her hand and stared at it the whole way home lol.

well not much news is here, ds has brought a cold home from school so am hoping lani doesn't catch it as it will probably turn into something else for her (usually does lol) considering she is cutting teeth i guess she will get it oh well i guess we do need to share.

i better go have a date with dh

    have a good night

    Hi everyone!

Isn't it horrible the forums being 'down', I have really missed posting here and obviously so has everyone else!

Aidan is good besides a nasty cough at night. Took him to the Dr's and his advice was... "turn the monitor off". Can you believe that! He listened to his chest and said it doesnt sound like asthma, it is probably just a bronchial cough extending from a virus he had a few weeks ago. This 'just' cough is keeping me awake at night and thats nothing compared to my poor little man who is coughing almost until he dry reaches. Having said that he seems to be asleep the whole time, but still, I wish there was more I could do. This is coming from the Dr who told me he thought adults could not catch hand, foot and mouth. I informed him it was the 2nd most painful experience in my life so I would know that I had it!

Now that I have had my vent, I hope everyone and babies are well, look forward to hearing from you all soon.

Oh, i can finnaly talk in here!

Lily is going well except the tamtrums are getting so much worse! She doesn't listen to us at all when she is doing something wrong and when i raise my voice even a little she will fall onto the ground and hide her face in her hands and whinge. Or something she will throw her arms about trying to hit us. I don't know how to control it! Any suggestions?

Other than that she is running now and oh isn't it fun that i have to run after her! I hope she settles down towards then end of my pregnancy otherwise i won't be able to handle it then.

Thinking of giving Gymbaroo a go so Lily can get some play and social life in. It's a type of developmental program, has music, dancing, games etc. Hope that will keep the trantrums to a minimum, somehow.

    Hi all,
Have not posted for ages cause I keep losing this thread. As you can see I am waiting, waiting, waiting. There are quite a few of us preg or with new little ones. Congrats again Dach. Time flies.

Amelia is in nickers now so only one in nappies which is great. Ds was tt for night but has been wetting lately so he is back in pullups. Saves washing and stress.

Well, time to get some house things done just in case!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness. I'm kind of glad BB was down, otherwise I would have had even MORE to catch up on! Sorry, I am a bit weary so I won't do personals now, but it really sounds like you've all been busy. Congrats again, Dach, I hope you're coping ok. I'm sure Jo and I will be sympathising with you before too long! Hope your little one arrives soon, Rose. Hello to Mitch, Mooshie, Tegan, Mel and anyone else I may have missed. Hopefully I'll have a bit more energy tomorrow night and will be able to do some personals. But for now 'House' is about to start - I've been in love with Hugh Laurie ever since his 'Black Adder' days. Hope you're all well.

HEy girls I missed you all so much.

I have had a **** of a day, went to spotlight and I was disgusted in how unorganised the place is and impossible to push the pram around, and 3 mins into the shopping and Jess climbed out of the pram. Then Jemma got out, I got the patterns I needed and then went to the counter, realised after standing for 2 mins that I didn't have a number, so while I waited went to grab the material, but the girls were totally stressing me, in the end I cracked it and put all the material back, paid for the patterns at the end desk and left. I was so ****ed off I told them both how naughty they were till they were both crying and I was in tears too LOL. I can laugh now but it was awful. I went to Macca's drive through and ha to wait 10mins then back to my gf's for a cuppa, and as I was going round the round about Jemma started choking in the back on her pickle. I flew around the corner flinging the drinks which were on the floor, all over the carpet under my feet, at that point, I pulled over to the side (Jemma had stopped choking) and just cried and cried. I have been a little fragile the last few days just a bit stressed I guess. I was just glad to get home without anymore incidents, although Josh had detention today for punching a gr 6 girl. It is hard cos he shouldn't have punched her but she was squeezing his arms and hands and hurting him and she didn't even get into trouble, and she is gr 6 and he is gr 1. So Arron is taking himself up the school to talk to the principal in the morning.

Gymnastics is great, ours is $8 a lesson plus the initial $25 insurance ea and $10 cleaning levy. Jess is a crazy psycho and just climbs and runs and jumps and even talks to the other kids not that they talk oher, she is quite social for her age. jemma is alot more wary being 3 and knowing some things may hurt her and also a bit shy at grp time, Jemma's grp is a little mroe structured.

Anyway Dasch- hope you are gettting heaps of rest and Yasin has adjusted to his new little brother. The shopping thing is a nightmare, and I have decided I won't go to do important things unless there are 2 adults or no kids LOL

Jo- hope bathtime improves, will he have a shower instead, Jess and Jem both love the shower.

Jess- hope Aidan's cough goes away soon, Jemma had that for ages and then one day it just stopped, you know though the turning the monitor off can be a good thing, I didn't turn it off with Jess until she was 16 mths and when i did I started sleeping through LOL

Hope you go soon Rose, the waiting is taxing!!!! Can't wait for the news.

Mel- when do you find out about the bonds thing and what did you have to do there.

Michelle- how'd your bding week go or is it still on LOL? baby dust coming your way.

Tegan- I wouldn't stress about the sipper, can she do the straw? Can she do the open cup, lol with water only? SOunds like she sis doing everything she should, to me, as for understanding, I don't know how much they understand, but Jemma was 19mths when Jess was born and she still tells m how I had Jess in my belly. Just keep encouraging her to feel your tummy, maybe get a book with pictures of a baby inside a mummy's tummy. All my kids loved looking at the book.

    anyway gotta get going

Kellee almost missed you- hope time is flying and you get a little rest pre labour. What's the date??

    have a good one

Oh Mitch, what a day! My goodness. No wonder you were in tears. You've got a lot on your plate at the moment - how's the sewing machine working?

Yes, naughty me. Still up. It's harder to go to bed with DH at his other job- I'm always so naughty and I wait up. Don't think I'll be able to make until he gets home tonight though as much as I want to see him. Having some friends over for morning tea tomorrow and I don't want to be falling asleep in my coffee!

Hope you all have a nice Thursday. Bring on the public holidays!

Oh Mitch, what an awful, awful day, I felt so sorry for you reading that! It reminded me of the day I took Kaleb to playgroup and he hurt a couple of kids and I had to leave early...I sat in the car and cried and cried, till he started crying too. I struggle that much with just one, you are a legend doing it with four! Can I just say that I bloody hate Spotlight too. It is always a mess, and getting help with anything is like getting blood from a stone. The ladies are always old and look right down their nose at you...one time a couple of years ago I was in there looking for red fabric to make curtains, and when I asked the lady, she said "red curtains, that's awful, nobody would have red curtains!"...what a rude cow! Anyway, how did Arron get on at the school? Poor Josh, that doesn't sound fair, I hope the girl got in trouble too.

Kellee, hope you had a lovely morning tea today! I find it really hard to get to sleep without DH in the bed, I'm such a sook. If he's out I'll toss & turn till he's home.

Rose, hope your little one makes an appearance soon!

Tegan, I can totally sympathise with the tantrums. It is difficult running around after them when pg too! Gymbaroo sounds good.

Mel, hope you have a great easter and be safe with all that driving around! Hope you get good news from the Bonds casting, lol at ignoring Pat Rafter!

Jess, grrrrrr at that stupid doctor! Hope Aidan's cough is improving.

Well, the bathtime dramas are over. The new toy seems to have worked, and now it's like there was never a problem. Just likes to keep me on my toes I think! Nappy change times are the drama of the day now, but hey, there's always got to be something! A few new words in the vocab, and he is starting to learn actions to songs, so that is always really cool, like a reward!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and please be safe!

Mitch – I’m so glad you feel better today! I think you deserved to have a better one after your bad day yesterday.

Jo – Hooray for the end of bathtime dramas! When you’re going through little phases like that it’s hard to remember that they can’t possibly last forever. And it must be very cute to see him doing the actions to songs.

Well, my morning tea went very well. One of the girls (who I hadn’t seen for a year) arrived at 11.30 am and stayed until 10 pm! It was really nice to see her and it was nice to have some company through the day for a change. We’re having a big cleaning day tomorrow so I’d better get some sleep – the last time we had a cleaning day it took me about two days to recover so I should probably take it easy this time. Looking forward to all the Easter goodies over the weekend too! I hope you all have a lovely Easter – be extra careful on the roads, won’t you? Hello to everyone I have missed.

    Hey girls

Jo so glad that bathtime is less stressful. Nappy change is always our stress, Jess doesn't want to stop for more than a second at a time. And she is starting to climb out of her cot at night, but I just keep putting her back. The other night she climbed straight out for the 4th time, the door was closed and she was knocking but I ignored her. About 30mins later I was ready fro bed, I went in and she was half asleep behind the door, she stood up groggily and I put her in her cot LOL, the next night she climbed out onceand was put back and stayed. Hopefuolly if I persevere she will get the hint.

Good friday so no meat today, we aren't religious but we don't eat meat on good friday. Arron caught fish last night and said tha's dinner but I don't even eat it really, I'll probably have fish fillets from the frozen dept LOL

We don't even have any margerine in the house and Jess has fallen asleep
Arron took the 2 big ones to his mums and has come back for Jemma now, so I may have some time to work
    see ya

Hi ladies. Hope you've all had a happy and relaxing Good Friday.

Mitch - I reckon perserverance is the key with that one. Sounds like Jess is getting the idea anyway. We're getting Charlie a bed soon, and I'm worried about things like that happening when we start to put him in it... you've done it three times before - any tips?

We had a big cleaning day today. Charlie's room and the new baby's rooms are now all sorted out, all the baby clothes are sorted into sizes and ready to go and the laundry is sparkling and child friendly for the first time ever! There's just a few things we need to organise now, like curtains, a bed for Charlie, a TV unit to keep little fingers away from the TV, maternity bras, extra linen... actually, maybe it's more than I first thought! We're going to Ikea tomorrow (is it sad that I'm really excited about that?!) to get a few things so it will be great to have that sorted. Any tips for storing toys in a way that is easy for the kids to access and easy for them to cleanup (with help from Mum, of course!).

Anyway, better hit the hay. Hope you all have a nice weekend.

Well, I just wrote a huge post about my MIL and how cross I am at her for not respecting me or my parenting decisions, but maybe the computer rebooting and me losing the whole thing was the universe's way of telling me to just get over it! Just as well, then.

Hope the reason it's quiet in here is that you're all having a relaxing weekend with your bubs and gorging yourselves on chocolate!

Not much else to report. Have had a lovely weekend hanging out with DH and Charlie - we've got a few public holidays and DH's SDOs before No. 2 comes, so I'm looking forward to having some quiet family time (in amongst all the crazy cleaning and organising, of course). Anyway, off to watch a movie and eat lots of chocolate now. Hope you're all well.
