OH Amanda! How heart wrenching! Maybe he is thinking of something he has heard or seen on tv? Maybe you could tell him that hospital is where lives are saved and that more people die outside of hospitals than inside them? I'd understand if you didn't want to raise the subject again... it's just my preference to talk openly about stuff as kids raise them... if he senses that you feel ok about talking about it he'll pick up on how relaxed you are talking about it and may not stress as much as if you don't or react badly?
