Simone - well done! You should be very proud of yourself. Having 3 options is brilliant, hopefully you get the CI one. Sounds pretty interesting, you'll have to tell us all about it tomorrow. You were jealous about me eating chocolate last night, now I am jealous of you eating satay beef (yum!!!).
Amanda - it's so nice to hear people will still help out esp cabbies. They get a really bad wrap in melb - some are a little strange! Hope Cody is not too worse for wear after his needles.
IK - Glad pre-op meeting went well and DP is getting his head around the feeding thing. He will be fine - just needs a bit of practise!!! I had my first Chai latte the other day and it was beautiful - real cinnamon flavour. I thought they might be pretty awful - milky tea (uwwwww) but was pleasantly suprised. I am cool to meet you at Boronia in the first carriage, what time does train come and where do I get a ticket, what ticket to I buy????? Remember, I am public transport idiot and have no idea what to do!!!!!

Chelsea is ready for a bath, then bed. She is so excited about her Hi-5 concert tomorrow, she might not sleep!!! Marley is in bed too, so looking forward to a nice quiet night (DH on pm shift again!!!) - will pop back later to check plans for tomorrow.
We had such a lovely day at the Bot Gardens - Simone and I walked from Flinders Street to the Tea Rooms by the lake, then we all walked to the Childrens' Garden and then back to Flinders, and Simone and I continued on to Melbourne Central station AND then I walked home from Glenroy station (only 15 mins, but I was buggered when I got home!)
I realised I got a little sunburnt - one one side of my forehead only Now I am going to be tanned on one side of my face and not the other
Flynn had more solids tonight - after a boobie feed he was hyperventilating while I fed him his 3 tablespoons of rice cereal - you'd think it was smack or something the way he was carrying on when it was all finished!!! MCHN said it was ok to start giving him more food next week so we will introduce carrot on Sunday.

I've worked out something with the babyswim lady for the rest of the term. She's not down with DP taking over the rest of the term because she'd then like to see him commit for the other terms (which he wouldn't do), as she insists on consistency...and I can see her point. Oh, well, we have come to a favourable conclusion for the next term - she'll give me a one on one to assess where we are at and slot us into a new class in January. I might ask for a weeknight instead of a Sat morning.
Had a lovely night at my dad's.
Now, if Oscar could sleep a bit, then I could finish these wraps and the sling for my mum to take with her next week!

Goodnight all, might not be on much over the weekend - busy again with invites, swimming and riding club...does it ever end? Honestly, the weekend is not a relaxing time for a SAHM lol!
Well have been busy at work the last two days. Was a ghost town for most of the day today as most of them attended the funeral of a 42yr old Police Officer who was tragically killed on the highway near Coffs last weekend, coming back from a job. He was part of team ARGOS which tackles child sex abuse. Even though I didn't know him it was pretty sad as he leaves behind his wife and two teenage kids. You never expect a police officer to die that way!
MIL babysat Aleise today as Matt had to work. She also did ALL our washing - including stuff that just sits at the bottom of the basket that we don't use ie. a bra that no longer fits me! She tidied Aleise's room, organised her clothes into her tallboy (I jsut leave it in the basket until I'm ready) and swept the floors. Makes me feel like a lazy housewife in some ways!

Charmaine: Welcome! Glad you could join us. Chiara is a lovely name and I had a uni class with a girl with that name last year so its not that rare!
Chocoate: What's all this talk about it in last thread? I'm trying to cut down and yesterday was the first day in 3 weeks I had some lollies! I blame a lady at work who offered me one of hers that got the ball rolling. Haven't lost any more wieght and beginning to think I should be going to WW meetings instead of going it alone via online program.
Aleise: Loving her baby food and doens't like my home made apple puree anymore! *Sniff*. The daycare lady gave her a whole jar yesterday and she yummed it up and here's me depriving her by only giving her half! Anyway I gave her the rest of her apple and cereal before bedtime as MIL wasn't told how much to give her.
Rory: NO harm in upping Flynn's solids a bit - especially if he gets upset when you stop!
IK: why do you have to go into hospital? I'm not totally up to date with what's going on here - anyway hope it all goes well if you need an op.
Simone: You should get that package by Monday at latest. Congrats on the testing sesssions but will you have to move if you get a job? Who would take care of your kids whilst you're at work?? I hope it pans out for you darls. OH and good you got PINK tickets.. she's pretty cool!
Amanda: Cirque tickets -- YAY! they're not cheap so hope you enjoy it! We're going to Billy Joel on Tuesday but tickets were like $130 'cause the cheapest ones were sold out in 20 mins and I coudln't get onto the site until 9.20am to buy mine by then only B reserve left! Matt's been before and he said he's brilliant! Besides how often does a good international act come along?? Oh and loved the pics btw.. Cody is soooo cute in his swimmers and towel hoodie!

Regarding living the "simple life"- I tend to think I live the very simple life! I live in a 14ft caravan in my Aunts backyard with 6 children. I own a laptop(rented), TV and a 1984 Tarago.Thats it, I had to get rid of everything when I moved!

Jess - i still don't know how you do it! i spent a few years living in a caravan from 5-8, I loved it - my sister and her kids live in a van/shed while their home is being built. Her boys love it! But I also loved it when we moved into a house with an inside loo!

Wow Bath how does it feel to know that your first baby is about to graduate Primary school. I keep trying to imagine what Tori is going to be like at that age, it all seems so far away.
IK- I hope that Oscar copes alright with the bottle. I am sure that he will be fine, he sounds like such an easy going baby.
Cee-Cee How exciting for you to hear Ally saying Mum, even if she doesnt know what she is saying yet (although you never know, she might know exactley what she is saying). Tori used to make Mum sounds as well, but it was only when she was upset, so it wasnt so exciting- infact it was quite heartbreaking to hear her upset and saying my name.
We have been travelling nicely, I just got back some proffessional photos that we had taken for the Pride of the Nation book. The photographer did such a good job, he is so pleased with them that he has made a couple of pictures into huge advert signs that he has outside his shop. It was so weird to see Tori's face on a great big poster (but very exciting as well).
I have applied for 6 jobs so far for next year, so now i just have to wait and see if I get to interview on any of them. All of them are part time, either 2 or 3 days a week, I would prefer to only work 2 but hey beggers can be choosers these days and I really need to go back to work parttime next year.
I better go and get some stuff done Tori went down for a nap at 5:30 and is still asleep now (7:15) I am wondering if she has decided that it is time for bed for the night, if so I hope she doesnt want to get up and play at 3am.

Im about to jump off and get me and Anneliese ready (im still laying in bed, but i can get us ready and in the car in 15 mins, then 10 mins to your place... i could be there in less than half an hour!!) As for me I'm soo excited my SIL msned me last night and told me that her granny couldn't go to see CURCIS DE SOEIL (as she had a heart attack but is recovering) so they have a spare ticket, so guess who's going, MEEE, yay. It's on this Sunday, so I'm going to feed Cody before I go and then DH will be looking after all the kids, so I have a kid free afternoon, I'm soo happy it's not funny. I haven't had any proper alone time away from the kids in a looong time, woo hoo for me.
