Mel - Sorry about your nan, i have been through the same thing with both my Grandfather and my Nan and its horrible. I hope you are ok. As for Marley, lachlan is doing the same thing, he will walk around the walls and stand up by himself but as soon as i hold my hands out for him to walk to me he gets down and crawls over. Good luck returning to work, when does that start?
Nic - Hope you had a great time at the Ball and yay for Nixon taking his first steps!!
IK - HOw did Oscar go at Grandaddy's?? I bet you missed him, and did you manage to express? How many times per day are you feeding him now?
I know what you mean about the different rates of development. A little boy at my playgroup was born one week after lachlan and is tiny, he only weighs about 7 kilos or something and he is running around like a big kid. He looks so small. Lachlan is still a fair way off walking (although i might be suprised) but he is picking up words really easily. But like i always say, how many kids do you see crawling into school??? They all catch up in their own time.
Well, not much happening with me, im trying to organise Lachlans 1st Birthday party, im going to attempt to make the train cake from the WW Birthday Cake Book. (i think i have picked the hardest one!!) But if i just buy the cakes and do the decorating how hard can it be right??
I have a back up plan, im going into town to buy a cake if the train doesnt work!!
Lachlan is still going well on the sleeping front, will sleep from about 7pm until 3.30 - 4am then until 7am so im really happy with that. He is trying to drop his morning sleep too which im not happy with because i like to sometimes hop back into bed and have a morning sleep too. He woke up yesterday morning at 6.30am and didnt have a sleep until 2.30pm! He wasnt totally horrid like i thought he would be either. i tried to put him back into bed in the morning but he just layed in there and played so i thought i would just get him up again.
he is picking up new words really well too, they are still hard to understand but he is trying really hard. He knows what things are when i say them like if i say "where is the clock?" he will look over and point to it and try to say "Tick Tock" and where are the cars? He will look out the front window and Say "Ca" "Brum" He is just growing up so fast!
Anyway back to work for me, I hope you are all going well!!
