OMG OMG OMG OMG....I am stressing big time, I hate Maths, I've been sitting here on and off since 6am except to pile all of the kids in the car drive the girls to school 860m away, won't let them walk anymore due to escalating thuggery in the area and I'm scared for the girls after we witnessed a young boy (14ish??) get jumped by these two low lifes who stopped and jumped out of the car, we saw it as we came over the ill, they saw us laughed at the scared boy and drove of, we asked him if he was okay, did he know them did he want a lift home, He said yes, no and no to my questions. Unbelievable they didn't even know the kid, mob of &^^$&(*&%. So we decided right then and there that the girls would no longer walk to and from school, that was until I had my Nephew babysit for me while I did my last couple of days of prac and had to be gone by 7.15am so against my better judgement I let them walk with their friends. Only to have the girls bullied by a group of school children their own age (throwing rocks, racial slurs, swearing) whom got into big trouble at school as I had the girls tell on them. It is ridiculus that my children can't walk 860m to school without being assualted. So well I'm way off the track for this conversation .....anyway I get home then I have to change a very pooey bum, He has grown out of his cloth nappies I need to make more but WHEN??? anyway never again will I buy cheap Coles nappies they are disgusting and they fill quickly and stink, I changed him at 3.00am when he woke screaming at me and then I woke him to drive the girls to school quick, when I changed him he has the reddest area I have ever seen and the nappy was oozing, disgusting (I gave him a bath and the poor bubba just screamed at first, I'm such a bad mother at the moment, my poor baby, but never again I will use more petrol to go to ALDI and buy their cheap nappies cause I've never had a problem with them. I used sudacrem on the area so hopefully it will clear up soon. No he's happily playing on the floor next to me taking my office apart, lol. He's occupied, the girls are in watching playschool, they are occupied, now I sit here starring at the screen ...blank, I have nothing, I just don't know what to write....Where to start. I have no excuse for not doing it but I just feel that I can't do it, so I ditched it to see what's happening in BellyBelly world.
Happy Birthday Junie babes.
Thanks for listening to my ramble. I'm just soooo stressed, 8 and a half weeks till DH is home, Who was I kidding I can't do this on my own......... I just want to hide under my doona and cry at the moment. It's stupid it's one more assignment and my semester is done and I will have a few weeks to devote wholely to my children and the house and well I might even wax my eyebrows, dye my hair and shave my legs.....oh the luxery of time...okay I feel a little better, going to make a cappacchino (sp?) and get back to it.
bye for now
Dee
Heaven - the only thing getting me through my own stress right now (granted, it's not as stressful as your situation), is placing myself in the moments after my exam, and with my assignments, I placed myself in the hours and day after I had submitted. Have you tried applying for an extension? Or even a special consideration? You'd definitely have grounds - you would probably have to see a uni counsellor to have them vouch for you on the form, but it's worth it if you realistically need extra time. I have definitely been thinking about you, knowing you've had your head down, bum up and up to armpits in kids
Better go, MIL is here to collect Oscar and I need to say bye to him before getting stuck into my impossible schedule to get reading done in time for exams...
ETA: I was just thinking, Heaven - for your essay, start writing out sentences for your introduction that tell YOU more than anyone else what the essay is about. What is the essay topic? What comes to mind first off? What angle will you use? When I get a blank (and it happens often!), I start of really, really simple. Short sentences about what I'm doing. Then my thoughts start to take off from there. Then you can get rid of your short sentences in an edit...or if they ar good, leave them in! The hardest part is actually starting - have you found that? It really is. Once I force myself to make even the lamest start on an intro, it gets the ball rolling for more intellectual nuggets that have been itching to get out. I hope this helps - I know exactly where you are in regards to that! How about, when you've got it done, you have a drink for me, and when I finish up on Friday, I'll have a drink for you? (But just one cos we're still BFing!

OK guys, here is some news that im sure you werent expecting to hear from me for a while........
i got a this morning!!!
DH and i only decided a few weeks ago that we would start trying in the next couple of months!
Im so excited but scared at the same time, i keep thinking of what Lachlan was like and he STILL isnt sleeping through the night!!
Anyway, im 4 weeks today and ill be due on the 25th Feb.
Im going to go and catch up on some personals.
Oh, we had lachlans 1st birthday party on the weekend and it was a success, we ended up hiring the local community hall and having it there rather than home (the weather was horrible) It worked out well!
OMG congratulations Donna, wow, oooohh........ a honeymoon baby.... lovely
Yahooooo
IK thank you sooooo much for your words of widom and strength. I have done considerable work today and am happy with the direction of my assignment. It is a research Project, I decided to look at how children begin to make connections with partitioning and fair share using virtual manipulatives. My actual subject is - The effect of virtual manipulatives for teaching pre preparatory children about fair share as a basis for fraction knowledge. (big words which just mean using the computer to learn maths) I really like my title, it sounds good, I just have to back it up with a great report. I have collated my results and have written my findings but I have to tie it in with recent research and theoretical practice. I have to Friday to finish and I am on target, I'll be fine I just had a moment of weakness this morning but I'm fine now, lol, opps better go get the girls. BBL

Congratulations Dee!!!! *Hugs* So happy for you! How exciting! How many Junies are expecting another bub now? Nic? You're the stats queen! Is Dee about the 5th?
(trying desperately to get ready to go down to the village... sooo cold outside.... but I've been indoors for 3 days in a row,,, gotta get out... at least to buy some more dishwashing powder!)
Dee - OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! How exciting. I'm so very happy for you and DH. Sounds like Lachlan had a lovely birthday party.
Nickel - Happy birthday to Ruby for the 16th! I must have missed that one on the list!
Jess - great news on the house, you must have so much more room now. I'm sure the kids love it too. Good luck with school holiday planning. I might be asking you for advice next year when Chelsea starts school.
Amanda - how awful about losing the photos! But IK is right, nothing can take away whats in your head and heart. Did anyone else take any that you can have? I always get my SIL to take extra photos as she has a better camera than me! Hope Cody and Wyatt are doing better.
7th - that poor little boy! Some kids can be such ar$eholes! I hope your girls learn to turn the other cheek and ignore the rude comments. Sounds like you are making good progress on your work. You are doing a great job, and look for the big bright light at the end of the tunnel, not long to go!
IK - sounds like you are in full on study mode! It must be a huge relief to have MIL take Oscar and get some proper study done. Not long for you either.
Bath - we have had a mostly sunny day here today, not the horrible 11 they forecast (thank god!). Still very crisp outside though, hope you manage to venture out.
Had a GF over for lunch today with her DS so Chelsea was very happy. She bought Marley a gorgeous set of baby maracas and a miniature tamborine from Gippettos (I thought of you straight away IK!) in the Dandenongs. They are so divine and Marley loves them, she is banging them with the hugest smile on her face!!! Kids got to play outside for a while as the sun was shining. They did some gardening, shovelling dirt from one side of the garden to the other.
My GF has a dilema that I thought you guys could help with. She is currently pregnant with #2, due start of August. Her DS is called Oskar and her and her DH like the name Felix for this bub (it is a boy), but she is worried about the whole "Odd Couple" comparisons, Felix and Oscar. For me, when she asked me if I liked Felix (which I do love), the first thing I though of was the Odd Couple TV show. She laughed as thats what she thought too. What do you all think?
Mel - how funny!! I LOVE the name Felix, but thought later that having the two names in one family could be a bit kitsch...but later thought, what the hell? People can say what they want! The two are lovely names (just realised how biased that sounds!), and Felix was on my boys name list I'd say to go for it, and then it would rule it out as a possibility for me and make my choice easier!
Heaven - I HATE those moments of crisis! Glad it wasn't as bad as you thought this morning...deep breaths! The absolute worst that can happen is that we have to repeat a unit...but our families will still be there and our kids will love us regardless! The topic sounds really interesting for a research topic.
Bath - a good natural alternative to dishwashin powder (and a hell of a lot cheaper) is bicarb in the dispenser and two (no more than two will do it) drops of eucalyptus oil. Also, for a rinse aid, vinegar is said to work wonders
Now, last but not least...
Congratulations Donna!!!! That's great news! I had a Booby Club friend over just before (to drop in a card and pressie for Oscar) and she says that the first is supposed to be the handful, the second calmer, the third calmer still, then you start all over again with the fourth! So, fingers crossed, this one will be a sleeper!! You still love them though, regardless of what they sleep like...next thing you know they are off to high school!
Better go again...
WHOO HOO Congratulations Donna! yep honeymoon bub how cool
i dont actually know the odd couple show Mel so it would have never have occured to me and i heard two kids called Oskar and Felix!
Happy belated birthday Ruby!
Bath LOL stats queen!
Nickers due October
Rory due in December
Ali due in December
Donna due in February
did i miss anyone? There is 4 or 5 in april buddies pg with baby 2 also atm
Took Nix to the docs thismorning and he definatley has hand, foot in mouth. His roof of his mouth is full of ulcers hency why he wont eat. So giving him things like custart, yoghurt, icecream, made up some jelly as dos said he prob wants to eay but it hurts too much. To top it off he has a cold again so snotty nose and aweful cough.
You girls make me cold... Mel was 11C your top for today. A cold chill just crept down my back, Brrrrrrr I love Queensland in the winter, lol. I love that I am sitting here with my windows open in shorts and a shirt and only now I'm thinking it's a bit chilly, lol.
IK lol my third is my worst (if I can scale my children) she is high maintenance, moody, loud, demanding, and absolutely adorable. I truely feel sorry for the poor fella who ends up with her, lol. God love her. She drives me crazy. Her birth was my best, virtually pain free bar 1/2 an hour. I wish I had all of them like that.
Nicker, hope Nix is better real soon, poor baby.
Okay I better go do dinner and bath my babes, I feel a late night coming on.
See you later
Ta Dee
Ahh, cold is good! Today I bought a nice purple top to go with my fabulous purple cardigan for Oscar's birthday party on Sunday - I wouldn't be able to wear fabulous knits in warmer weather! I LOVE to rug up! I've just topped up my woodheater and the dogs are curled up in the loungeroom, and I have a lovely veggie and bacon soup on the simmer (splashed with red wine) and I intend to wrap my hands around a hot mug shortly, before the boy gets home. But for now, back to neuroscience...at least this book is far easier to read. The author has described the function of part of the hypothalamus and says that med students use the Four F's to remember it - Fight, Flight, Fright and Sex...now that's got my attention!!
My third, fourth and final OMG of the day, My body is sooo deadly!!!! TMI to follow.... My "girlie visitors" arrived tonight for the first time since having Nathan. I can't believe it, It's really not much and I had no idea I was getting them but still. Iam still breast feeding Nathan but it is down to twice a day in the past week or so, he likes his sippy cup. So I guess it was bound to happen sometime soon but not a year to the day, lol.
Nathan has been playing the squat and stand game over the last month and has been walking around furniture but tonight he took his first two steps and then squatted down and he had the funniest look on his face.
This really is a cornerstone in our lives, I have birthed my last baby and I'm okay with that. He's becoming such a little boy now. It all happened so quickly.....
IK - funny how you like the same names! I had Felix on my list of boys names too, its such a cute name. Soup sounds delicious, what a day for it. Enjoy neuroscience!
Nic - poor Nixon! Hope his mouth clears up soon, I bet he is loving the jelly! You must be too young to remember The Odd Couple, I feel so old LOL!!!!
7th - it was bloody freezing today and tonight it feels like I live at the snow!!! I hate the cold, give me your qld weather anyday! How freaky getting AF back at this time. It has all happened too quickly, our little babies are growing up.
I must admit, I have been reminising (sp?) tonight. DH and I have been talking about what we were doing this time last year. Well about this time, I was getting ready to head off to bed after only having 2 contractions in 5 hours! We had just finished watching The Society Murders, about the wealthy Melb couple that was murdered by their son. Thought it might be false alarm but got MIL to pick up Chelsea just in case. How wrong I was!!!! I hope I don't wake up at the time she was born, far too early (3.35am!). I found a better recipe for chocolate egg-free cupcakes. I have made them and they are delicious, you wouldn't even know there is no egg in them. Will decorate them tomorrow. Can't believe my little Miss Marley will be 1 tomorrow!
Heaven - get back to your essay! I've just noticed your ticker changed, tsk, tsk!
Mel - I am really getting through this book by Bear et all very quickly purely because of the writing style! Soup was a winner - I am so getting good at this!
Well, the three of us have a big day of reminiscing tomorrow! Except Dee and I will be pretending it sort of isn't happening so that we can make it through the week and still call ourselves students...
My cutie pie must have had a huge day of gardening at his grandma's today, cos he is still in bed after going down at about 7 (couple of wakes, but being a human pacifier has its advantages).
Back to the books...
Mel – Can’t wait to see the pressy you made Marley – it sounds lovely – such a nice idea – wish I’d get inspired to do something like that! How did the Nuttlex butter go?
IK – A friend of mine recommended talc for getting rid of ants, I haven’t tried ti though so not sure if it works. I use cornstarch on Will and oscar so not sure if that does the same iro getting rid of ants.
Amanda – Sorry you lost Cody’s birthday pic’s, that’s pretty sad but like the girls said I guess the ones in your mind are indelible. I sent you an email – hope you received it.
Jess – Yay on getting the house.
Nic – Nixon sounds like he has a nasty dose of H,F and M disease. Will and Oscar had it around 6 months ago but not that bad at all – just some blisters on their fingers and toes and where their nappies touched their legs but fortunately nothing in their mouths. Hope it goes for him soon, I think it only lasted a couple of days with my boys.
Heaven – ‘hug’s luv, you sound so stressed. I hope things calm down for you soon (and before DH gets back – 8 ½ weeks Is such a long time – I’m grumpy im home alone 4 days this week and 5 days next!). Hope you manage to finish your assignment soon. Yay for Nathan taking his first steps.
Donna – CONGRATULATIONS! That’s such great news.
Mel – That’s so funny about your friend and her boy Oscar – Will was going to be either Felix or Isaac then i chickened out on the way to the hospital and changed it to William. I’ve never heard of the odd couple show so it’s doesn’t mean anything to me. I say go for it to your friend – Oscar and Felix are a great name combination.
Now I don’t know if this is how it works but it’s 10.25 here so that makes it 12.25 on the east coast and so the 19th so hopefully my post will show that date at the top so I can be first to say
Happy Birthday Oscar Happy Birthday Nathan Happy Birthday Marley
Hope you all enjoy your special days and that mum (and dads enjoys thinking about this time last year)
James flew to brissy this morning so I’m home alone til late Thursday night, then he’s off again late Sunday night till the Friday so I’m getting back into doing everything again. We took him to the airport this morning (big mistake as I always blub which is so stupid – he usually goes away at least twice a month for the last 4 or 5 years so you’d think id would be used to it by now) then went to a friends place for the kids to play. Got back and the kidlets crashed then as soon as they woke up they were fed and we had to go shopping – so WHY was the house like an utter bombsite – 10 times worse than normal – it was 8.30pm before I’d finished tidying tonight – grrrrr. Had a good day though so can’t complain. My friend got a mobile hairdresser over so we could have a haircut as it’s so difficult for us to get to a salon (she is the friend with triplets so even harder for her). I was very happy with my do – first in around 8 or 9 months but had no one to show it off too except fellow supermarket shoppers and no one seemed impressed!
Nighty night everyone

: to add colour to make it pretty!
A Big Happy Birthday to Oscar and Marley and of course to my little man Nathan. I hope you all have a wonderful day. I can't believe how fast this year has gone.
Lol IK....Busted, hehehe, didn't see this til this morning, I'm getting back at it right now.....I promise, I can't wait for this weekend, our brains can rest, Ik your book sounds interesting, love the 4 F's, lol.
Julie...Thanks and lol, you could have had the checkout chicks make an announcement, "Welcome to shopping at .... Ladies and Gentleman today we have a very special person in the store, could you all please praise her do in aisle 3, and thank you for shopping at..., lol. That would have been great, one of my friend's is a hairdesser, that saves me alot of money and time cause I'd just go to her place for a cuppa ans a cut, but she moved to Rocky and I moved here, she said to drop in for a cuppa and a cut on theway through, she's a champion, she also has 5 babies 4 living one sleeping. My neice has been doing a nail techician course and needs to practice so on the weekend my SIL an CIL and their friend and I all got our nails done for free , I got gel overlays, no tips as I have a nice mother of five length nails, she did a great job, we were all happy with the results
Mel, Marley is the oldest of our three then, I think Nathan is the youngest, lol. Those cup cakes sound yummy.
The girls were so excited about Nathan's birthday so I went and I bought a little wiggles cake and some junky food so this afternoon the kids and I are having a little party for Nathan. I usually make the first birthday cake but I've been a tad busy and distracted this year. He won't care, I've sung happy birthday to him a couple of times this morning, he is a big boy now, sniff sniff.

I'll join in the happy birthdays to Oscar, Marley and Nathan - what a special little trio!!
We hit a milestone last night - Flynn slept RIGHT THROUGH!! We put him to bed at 8.30pm, he woke screaming at 11.30 so I put a night light on for him, and he SLEPT TILL 7AM!! I have been suspecting for a while he is "waking in fright" in the middle of the night in his pitch dark room, but it wasn't till I realised he seemed really "scared" that it twigged. Funny - I suppose he is now actually old enough to imagine "fear" rather than just discomfort or hunger or whatever.
