Where are we all< are we all too busy with our now 2 yr olds to chat up a storm with our buddies?

I'm sorry I have been absent my loves, but honestly I have been busy.

Up till three months ago I was President of our local P&F Association but after the election of the new office bearers everything seemed to go haywire. I was elected (unopposed) as Vice President but after a dealing that went sour with the new presidents wife I handed in my resignation.
I am busy, busy, busy with the kids and have been visiting my second client and now it looks like I may have my third client. My second client is due on the 26th July (not long to go, bub is head down and next visit the OB will confirm this by the dreaded internal!) I then think I might have a month off before the third client goes, but uncertain about her yet as even though I have known her for years, she still hasn't contacted me.

Pat is now a little man! He is still being boobyfed (only of a night time), but I have managed to try MCN's and now I'm a consultant for a major brand. He has such a sense of humour and squeals with delight if the older kids chase him round the house. He sleeps in his big boys bed that Dad made him and he absolutely loves it, sits on it as the bigger boys go in their room and chats constantly.

I think that is all for now, talk to you soon darlings and give big hugs to all our junies!

Good afternoon just quickly too: I've been spending too much time in other threads, one of which has overwhelmed many here in our BB community (twins tragedy thread) ... and by the time I'm done there my boys are almost frantic to drag me away from here! However more than ever i'm so comforted to know that so many of us have stayed in touch over the past 2+ years. It's so good to hear even a snippet about all the June babies because we all have been reminded how badly things can go when become isolated mums great to hear from you again Jess! it doesn't matter how much or little we all post... even just "Hi, very busy, everythings fine, thinking of you all, been reading, can't post"

DH home... place a disaster area! better go!

Well it's been a long boring and testing weekend, as its been cold we haven't done much and we are paying for it the kids are climbing the walls and so are we!!! I soooo cant wait for bed time tonight!!!!

I started baking for the 1st time ever today I made some jam drops which must have been ok as there arent many left, and I have tried to make a lemon merang (sp?) pie which we will see if its any good tonight the lemon part tasted ok ( even if I did have to make it twice 1st time I used normal flour instead of corn didnt realise it would make a difference Opps) but the pastery didnt look quite right so that might be a bit yuk....

Melbourne girls are any of you going to the meet-up's that are happening there's a Melb one on the 30th at 10:30 am at the BB centre and a Berwick one on the 4th at 12pm I would love to put a link in for you but have been tring all day and just cant get it

I am hoping to go to both the Melb one I am a little afraid of as I hate to drive and park in melb ( I know its iner city burbs but still scary for me ) but was thinking of maybe catching a train if thats not to hard with all my winkys... ( just hoping I dont back out at the last min due to nerves like I normally do, would feel so much better if I knew one of the Junies were going to be there

Ditto, Bath, about your sentiments on our little group with its changing dynamics, and also our care factor.
I do sense that as our kids get older we are spending more time with them IRL than on here, and that's a good thing! Cee Cee was exemplary in just calling it quits and making a conscious decision to eschew online life for her daughter. As much as I really admire her for it, I find I can really flesh out my ever-evolving and expanding ideas on parenthood with the girls here and that's why I can't do a cold-turkey. Not only that, I have become attached to my Junies, especially, and love the sharing we have all done.
Oscar had a marvellous birthday weekend, sans birthday party as such. We had our closest family friend family over, my parents, my BIL&SIL's family, and MIL over at various parts of yesterday and much BBQ was cooked! We had a dinner for him on Friday night with my parents, so since Thursday night he has been quite a spoilt little boy. He got TWO trikes, because my mum wanted him to have one he can actually ride before he grows into the massive one she initially gave him. We also had an issue with a chainsaw. I got him his beloved drill and he was so happy about it...until my GF came to visit on Fri with her little boy...who brought over his new toy chainsaw - WHAT drill? He only picked it up again with any affection this morning I foolishly told my mum about what happened to his long-awaited drill and what did she do? Went out and bought him a friggin chainsaw! I will be reiterating, at some point, that the chainsaw came from his grandma and not me! He got two Bob the Builder characters (Scoop and Roly) and a Gordon train and tender. For people who didn't have a party, he sure did get spoilt. It was just the right amount of people, so he didn't get overwhelmed by faces and presents.
He has taken to climbing into the kitchen sink when it's got dishwater in it. Luckily, I make up my own dishwashing liquid from a base shampoo (add my own essential oils like lemon and thyme), so it's not been bad for his skin! He's just so odd! His words are coming along a lot more in the last couple of weeks.
Jess - geez, you are busy! I think you're officially worse than me at taking on things! How wonderful that you have clients lined up, too It's a great testament to you as a person that people want you as part of their special event.
Tali - if we're not away that week, I'll be heading to the Berwick meet-up, so you'll know me there! I won't advertise my planned attendance in the thread, not only because I may not be here for it, but also because there's a couple of people going who may freak out and bail if they know I'm coming (ummm, I guess I have a strong online personality for some!), though they've never met me IRL.
I might try to get to the BB centre one, too, not sure yet what's happening during that week.
Dee - this must be a watershed time for you with Nate emerging from babyhood and your other babies emerging from childhood! Oh, and here's to guilt-free home help!
Better go and get some study done (honestly, the only time I get to write a proper message here is when I'm at uni...when I'm supposed to be studying!).
Have a great week girlies and thinking of the preggies amongst us
