Hi ladies and gent
How is everyone going? It seems like I've been gone for ages - hope i havent missed too much! I have occasionally been lurking but havent posted - my cousin who I had mentioned had caner passed away a couple of weeks ago so things have been rather unsettled here lately, but its all starting to come back to normal so hopefully I'll have a bit more time to catch up with you all now!
Mikayla is going great. She chatters all day long, which I must admit drives me crazy at timesand is running around like she's been on her feet for years!! No matter what I do I just cant get her to sit still for a minute! She's saying alot more now, she seems to come up with a new word every day - her newest phrase is "sit here" which sounds sooo cute. But all we hear pretty much all day and night at the moment is mumma, dadda, nonna (grandma in Italian), nonno (grandpa), daisy (from the night garden), up, down, no more, and of course BABY (this one is her absolute favourite)!!!
And can someone please tell me that their child already has more attitude than they know what to do with - please tell me I'm not the only one! My little devil is starting to get so temperamental. If she doesnt get what she wants when she wants to starts to scream at the top of her voice and if one of us is within reach then she'll scratch and claw us with such agression!!! This is normal right???? Or do I just have a very very naughty child???
We've now moved her into a big girl bed. Its actually a toddler bed so its low enough to the ground so she can get in and out on her own. So far its worked wondersWe stay with her till she falls asleep (which can sometimes take a while) and she'll usually sleep through to between 5.30 and 7.30am at which point she comes into bed with us. A couple of nights she's woken at about 2.30am and one of us just sits with her till she goes back to sleep. She really seems to like sleeping in the bed. I'm now thinking that the problem was that she just felt trapped in a cot - the idea that she can get out on her own if she wants to seems to put her at ease and she doesnt fight going to bed anymore!!!
We went to see some friends last night who have a 3 week old little girl who now weighs the same as Mikayla did at birth, and OMG she is sooooo tiny! I just cant believe that my active, talkative & headstrong daughter was ever that little!!!
Well I'm 10 weeks today and have my NT scan on 3rd October. I wonder if I as this scared last time - cause right now I'm pretified. I know my 7 weeks scan was perfect but I'm so scared that something will go wrong that I almost dont want to have the u/s. I think I'm so worried because this pregnancy is totally different so far to what is was with Mikayla. Although I do have morning sickness its no where near as bad as it was. Of course I know every pregnancy is different but I cant help feeling that it might be a bad signjust cant wait to see my little bub moving around so that I can put the worry behind me once and for all!!
PP all the best for the next 5 weeks hun. Cant wait to hear all about the safe arrival of your new little bundle!!!
Hope all the kiddies are doing well and not running a-muk (well not too often anyway)
Take care xx
