... bloody computer, I just typed a mega post ... and lost the damn thing cos I hit the wrong button on my stoopid computer.

Sigh ... ok, so here goes. Possibly in briefer detail ...

All ok in my neck of the woods, although we've been busy lately (hence, my lack of posting in here. Cam not showing any sign of sitting properly, crawling or teething ... but it'll all happen when he's good and ready. He's able to sit VERY briefly before toppling, and when on his tummy he can turn himself to face any direction, so I guess it's just a matter of time. As for no teeth ... no probs particularly as I'm still BFing at least four times a day.

Thanks for the posts re: Cam whacking himself in the head, pulling his hair etc when BFing. He's still doing it on and off (I think it might be related to him being tired?), but thanks to your responses I've decided it's not worth worrying about ... it's just something some of them do.

Cam's developed a sweet little habit - he lurves to stroke my skin. Particularly my arms. If we're having a cuddle, or I'm holding him, he'll sit there and just stroke away. It's a special mummy thing, cos Cam doesn't do it to daddy (too hairy, I reckon ).

Personals ... if I don't get through them all, I'll BBL to finish them.

Bec - hun, . Marriage difficulties are stressful, upsetting and very draining mentally/emotionally. I can only imagine how hard it would be with three children. Counselling/re-establishing communication worked for us, but I know it's not that easy for everyone. Hun, I'm thinking of you. Be kind to yourself.

CM - Yay for getting your five-year plan on the road! I'm so envious of those of you who are good with their hands/creative ... I'm so NOT creative. My sister got the creativity genes (she's a home ec teacher and can cook/decorate cakes/sew/design etc). Me - well, let's just say I struggle to put 100's and 1000's on a cake! Happy to hear Flynn's on the move and sleeping through the night. He is a champ.

Nic - Dusty sounds like he's well and truly on the move! Maybe our two dogs will spur Cam on ... one day. As for Christmas ... I'm a C&E church-goer these days (er, Christmas and Easter - plus the occasional visit), so in my family Christmas has always been about mass on Christmas Eve and then Santa would visit us overnight. Xmas day usually involves the traditional turkey roast and wayyyy too much food. We''ve lived away from family for nearly 8 years, so when we celebrate with family - outside of DH and I, I mean - Christmas is extra special (my parents are coming up to us this year). Santa/gifts are great, but Cam will also learn the religious meaning of Christmas/goodwill to all men etc. There's no right or wrong way regarding Christmas - you guys should do whatever you want to do and phooey to anyone else.

Stacey - I can only imagine the fun and games re: having to put things up higher when bub begins to crawl and pull himself up. I guess potted plants will be a no-no too ... re: PMS ... sounds like you've got a good DH (er, mine would probably just tell me to "toughen up"!). No AF here yet, so no PMS. I repeat ... yet. Good luck with the sleepover! Hope you've got strong coffee and matchstix in the house for the day after.

Laura - how are things with you? You sounded like you felt much better in your last post. Glad to hear you felt more relaxed - have you looked any further into kinesiology (spell?). Poor you, re: Sam biting. Man, I am SO not looking forward to Cam getting teeth. I bet he'll be one of those little buggers who looks up at me while BFing, smiles oh, so sweetly, get and evil glint in his eye and ... chomp. Ouch. Seriously though, it's not good. Hope you're not so sore now and Sam's biting less.

Luey - sounds like E and Cam are on a par where sitting etc is concerned. Cam's always got his arms stretched out from his sides (like he's walking a trapeze ...) and I'm wondering if that's why he's not sitting very well. Instead of his arms helping him balance, they're causing him to be off balance. He adopts the same pose if I'm carrying him somewhere ... quite a few people have commented on it as they reckon he looks like he's about to flap his "wings" and fly off. I hear you about enjoying their babyhood ... I must admit, I still find myself just looking at Cam in amazement. And when he smiles at me, I just go to goo (yep, pretty mushy, aren't I ). I detest the thought of returning to work in 4 months - I want to be home with my son!!! Bloody mortgages. I guess I shouldn't complain as I'm only going back three days. Still though ....

Macca - Good for you on your surgery - let us know how you're going.

Robbo - Hi to you - how are you and Ari. Yay for his teeth, six ... wow!

Mel - how's James now, feeling better? Hope so.

    Hi to everyone else!

I'd better hit the 'submit' button before I lose everything again!

OMG, Will has turned into Captain Clingy again! I am back to having to take him to the loo with me just so he won't cut loose. It is like he is 3 months old all over again. But now he says 'mum' so I get a high pitched scream followed by a string of 'mum mum mum' when ever I leave the room. I am really starting to get a bit strung out!

Still not crawling but he can move around the room. He does an awesome push up and has gotten on his knees a few times but that is about it. He sits up on his own but after a bit he will just lean back and keep on going so we still put a pillow behind him. He cut his 7th tooth the other day and is now 75 cm and 10 kg. He is starting to wear size 1 clothing which is freaking me out. He was never been a small baby but it seems like he just grows non stop. He is well proportioned but sometimes looks really skinny. He has a bit of pudge on his legs but that is about it. One mother asked me at playgroup if I feed him (can you believe). I told her he had been on 3 meals a day since he was 5 months plus 4 formula feeds. I don't have a son I have food disposal system .

I guess they all get there in the end. As for me I am now on my mushies and have lost 12 kg so I am very happy. In another 2 weeks I am back on normal food which is great. I would kill for a steak right now.

Any way I am off, I will do personals another time when I don't feel like crap. Hope your all well.

As for Christmas we do the family thing. Off to Perth this year to see the in laws.

Christmas was a big thing in our house as a kid and probably will be for Will. One year as a kid my dad shaved the ice from the freezer and put it at the bottom of the ladder to the roof (so Santa could get down). He then woke me up and told me it was snow from the North Pole. Another year we bought hay for the reindeer and my parents walked round poking holes in the dirt so I thought they had been in our yard. I was about 10 when I worked out it was a scam but kept it going till I was 15 (not that my folks believed that I believed) so I would get the extra pressie, lol. Even now my mum still gives me something small that she calls my Santa present, just for the joke.

Don't get me started on what my parents would do at Easter (lets just say we didn't see the cat for 3 days once).

Hi girls, I hope you are all going well.

Macca! I can't believe Will has 7 teeth! WOW! I keep having these dreams that Flynn has a full set of chompers but he still only has the bottom 2. Congrats on the weight loss! That is awesome, good for you!

As for us, Flynn has started 'crawling'. It is a very funny action where by he propels himself with one foot and slides along on one knee. He alternates which knee is on the ground and which foot is pushing him! It is quite funny to watch, he looks a bit like a crab! He is getting more and more fun every day. I just love being a mum!

Some exciting and scary news for us is that I'm expecting another baby ! I'm a bit worried that we're going to lose it (I don't particularly 'feel pg and have had a mc before...) so I haven't really told anyone (unless they happen to read it on this public forum!!). Bub is due in July so I won't be heavily pg in summer which is great. I'm nervous and excited and several other emotions all at once!

I've got to go now. Hope you are all going great, take care.

Just a quick one to say CONGRATULATIONS to CM!! Woo hoo!!!!

I was beginning to wonder who would be the first of us to get back on the pg bandwagon. Stay positive that your little bubba will stick - we'll all help by throwing you some (I'm throwing girl sticky vibes - betta let us know if that's a prob for you!!!! ). Huge congrats again.

And Macca - well done on the weight loss, you're doing great. Wow, seven teeth ... Cam still isn't showing any signs of teeth yet!

Congratulations CM. That is fantastic news for you. My first pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage and I then went on to have four babies with no problems so im sure this little one will be just fine. Im sure you are so busy concentrating on your little man that you are not focused on the changes in your body.
I too was wondering who would be back on the bandwagon first. I have had a bit of a scare and had a negative blood result today so I can gladly say its not me. We do want another but just not yet, my cycle is all over the show so lets hope we can have another when we are ready.

Scout is continuing to thrive at a wicked pace. Still just the two bottom teeth and he is 77cms and just cracked the 9 kilo mark. So I hear ya bout the "skinny" looking baby Macca. I think he is loosing weight as he is soooo full on. He is madly pulling up (and crashing down) on everything. We have at least half a dozen bumped heads a day and it doesnt stop him. He is loving his swimming lessons. Im so glad I started them after watching that sad story on 60 minutes the other night. Having a pool is great but I dont want it to be a scary thing IYKWIM

We had DS10 party on Saturday night. Lets just say 4am DH finally had enough and turned into cranky Dad to get them to go to sleep. We went in with water guns at 8.30 to wake them all up. They were not impressed and by the time they were picked up at 11am I dont think bed was too far away for most of them. I said to the Mums when they dropped the boys off that I make no apologies for the moods which if my boy was any thing to go by, would have been pretty feral. I wont be doing it again thats for sure! Sorry Scout.

Well thats about all in our camp my little treasure has had his 40 min power nap so I best go get him

    Have a happy Wednesday

YAY Catherine!!! Good for you! I have to ask...please tell me to bugger off....was it planned? I was only thinking the other day that when Ben was Jake's age I was 5 months pregnant already!

You've given me incentive to get in and post so I'll do my best to get back. It's our anniversary today, not doing anything special but things have been a-ok here for a while and things are picking up.... so you never know I might be other-wise engaged :P

Oh no plans for any more babies here either!!

Thanks girls. The sticky vibes are appreciated !! I'm not worried what it is so long as it's healthy, tho I do think in many ways it would be easier to have another boy this time round (not sure if there will be a # 3...I'm just hoping there is only 1 in there...both sides of our fams have STRONG history of twins )

Bugger off Bec!!! No, just kidding, That's cool! Well the answer is yes and no!! I wanted a winter baby and the options were have Flynn 1 and a half or 2 and a half. I thought 2 and a half was a bit too big of a gap, but I was kind thinking more August (get pg round Nov) than July (rather than Oct) so we hadn't really talked about it. I guess it's kind of been decided for us now! I'm really quite excited when I think about it! How did you find having 2 so close together? What do I need to think about?

Melinda I'm 6 weeks. Bub is due 10th of July, but like last time I'm expecting it to be late so I won't be disappointed if it is!!

    I thought I had posted but I mustn't have

Big congrats to CM. Sending you lots of sticky vibes. A girl who I am friends with is PG too. Her daughter is 2 weeks older than E. We will be having an age gap of 3ish years. I want sleep back and a few other reasons but everyone is different.

E's paed appt went well. We are trying him on no reflux meds and I think he is going ok. Has been irritable but that is cos he cut 3 teeth in 10days. Number 8 isn't far away. He is always poking his fingers down the back and I can see/feel lumps occassionally so here's hoping he has them all by 1. E is sitting and rolling well. Not moving yet but lookout when he does. Sleep is variable. I am expressing all day today and just giving bottles to see what happens. Well expressed the 11 and 3 feed and will the next as well. So happy last night he settled y 830 then slept till 2! Never to be repeated but it is nice to knoe he can do it sometimes. It was then 5 and 7 for a feed. I put him back to bed at 7 and he slept till 920

Have a wonderful day. I shall continue my pumping. Least I can sit on the puter and do it.

Woohoo Catherine!Congrats - my smallest gap is just under 18mths and I found it a fine gap , I was sad though as it meant I was only able to breastfeed DD till she was 13mths (4mths pregnant) as she weaned due to lack of milk.

Just a quicky - Ari has started pulling up to stand - still very wobbly but OH SO cute!!I got a total of 3hours sleep last night as he was very upset (not sure why) so I am off to bed now.

Sorry I don't have time to do personals, Will has a virus (turns out that is why he has been so clingy). Poor little bugger is off his food, runny number twos, vomiting, fluid in both ears and the list goes on....sorry if TMI.

    Hi girls

Sorry for being so slack...AGAIN. Jake is now climbing what ever he can find and reach to **** his leg up on , things are certainly reaching a new level of busy in this house since little man got mobile a few months ago! We've got an appointment in Feb (!!!!) with the Paed surgeon, I'm a little annoyed as by then he'll be almost 1 and I'd hoped to get it over and done with ASAP. On the home front things are going well, improving every day. Dh has cooked twice this week!!!

Catherine, I'm so very excited for you! And I'm surprised at myself...I don't feel the least bit clucky at all. It's always a little scary expecting a new baby, thinking about having another person to look after and love You will be fine! People used to always stare at me (in the small town we lived in!) and I'd always get asked how do I do it. I just did, I didn't know any other way, YK? I guess it's like having twins (lol.....which you could be!) you just do what you have to and when it's your first time you don't know any other way. I think it helped SO much that Ben was my little champ, just like Flynn is. Such an easy going baby. And as you will find, it's just a whole new world being pg when you have other children! It's easier if you aren't suffering with MS but it's definitely harder! Having said that though I did find it easier being pg when I had a baby still, you still get time when they are sleeping during the day to just rest yourself. It was much harder being pg with a 2 & 3 y.o running around! It's such another adventure creating another little life. You know you always have all of us here for a sympathetic ear! I hope the MS stays away for you.

Macca, that's awful...poor will Hope he picks up soon. Glad the mush is going well and congrats on the 12kg! And how exciting TTC for you too!! Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you to have an announcement soon

Luey, 10 teeth in 3 days!! WOW! that must have been rough on you both. Glad the reflux is going ok. how come you are expressing?

Stacey...Jake is a skinny bub too, although he's not long and lean, just small and lean . We are still at about 68cm and 7.5 kg, not a sign of a fat roll either. considering he is bfing around 4-5 times a day and eating 3 main meals plus two snacks I dunno where it's all going!

Hi Andie, Nina (CONGRATULATIONS!!!), Reenie....have you deserted us???, Jo, hope you enjoy your holidays, Hayley (do you want those IB boosters?? Sorry they are large...LMK) and Nic

I just want to say that I am so incredibly lucky to have you ALL. Whether you know it or not you have ALL helped me out in some way at some time and I feel so very lucky. For different issues/problems/questions there has always been at least one of you who has completely understood and had experience with it. So thankyou, you are all beautiful women I am completely blessed to have in my life

OMG OMG OMG! Catherine! What fantastic news! Have to say though, I'm not that surprised, I had a feeling this was going to happen. by the billions to you! I'll text you in later.

Sorry I have been so slack in posting lately.I'm good though, still going well and still haven't even had a bad day.All is good, all is 'normal'.

Bit of a nightmare weekend though....Sam had a cold and got his 3rd tooth.I scraped the car on a brick wall on Saturday, estimate about $4000 to fix. It was pouring with rain and I guess I just over estimated the turn. Then when I was on my way back into the house I slipped and did a Britney almost dropping Sam, managed to save him but have the mother of all bruises on my shin. After that I changed Sam's pooey nappy only to discover he wasn't finished and he pooed all over MIL's bed and my hand. Finally had him clean and he decided to wee too.Went to the toilet and discovered AF.Joy!Just one of those days.

Sam isn't crawling yet, maybe he never will? He tries to, the just cracks it.HE has been getting really into solids lately but still drinking as muck Breast milk as ever.Still biting occasionally, managed to make my other nipple bleed yesterday.Little bugger.I love BFing though, so stopping isn't what I want to do.I'll just ride it out.

Ooohh, I have my first two births as a trainee Doula booked! One for April and one for early July! Ages away but gives me time to prepare and I should have finished all of my theory by then.

So everything is good here! One thing though...Why can't all of you live in Melbourne? I wish I could meet all of you face to face.I'm thinking next year I might take Sam away for a couple of weekends while Tony is away and come a meet some of you guys!

Bec, That's a long time to wait to see the surgeon.Poor little Jake.Hope he's not in too much pain. Thank you for what you wrote last post about all of us, you know we all feel the same about you.

Sam just woke up.BBL later to do the rest of the personals.

Laura that is great news about having two births booked!! What does that mean for you? are you there 'in-training' with another Doula? You'll be able to help Catherine out! And anyone else who falls pg Glad to hear all is going well generally, despite a crappy weekend

**OMG DH left his sander inside, just wondered what that noise was and found Jake sanding the polished floorboards!!**

Did you say you'd posted the BL's?? I haven't received anything..... No problem if you haven't, no hurry Oh and on the Berry Plush's.....meh...I'm not too taken with them yet. They are ok but seem too big on Jake yet. Look cute with the plush colours but that's it. No leakeage or anything, just too big I think. I'd be happy to send you one to test if you want?

Robbo, sorry about the large booster.....I didn't think until I went to get them out and saw they were large. You must be sewing up a storm!

Still house hunting here, very over it too. Think we've decided on a town which is an hour away but much more affordable. DH has some family there and his grandparents lived there so he spent time there as a child. got the mobile lender coming tonight to talk more -in -depth about finances. Joy.

    Hi all,

Cam managed to sit on Santa's knee yesterday without cracking the goo ... so we now have our first official Santa photo. Geez, it'll be Dec 25 before we know it!

Well, I officially take the award for "crappy mum of the week". Yesterday morning I sat Cam on our bed for 2 secs while I ducked into the ensuite for deodorant ... and he toppled over (still on the bed) and grazed his forehead on the metal railing at the end of the bed. I thought I'd sat him far enough away from it, but obviously not . He didn't cry or seem worried, so it wasn't too bad - but I still felt awful. Then this morning, after a BF I sat him in his papasan-thing-a-me in the lounge and I left him for one minute to go into the kitchen. Stupid mummy ... because he obviously pitched forward and smacked his head on the carpet. At least he was only a few cm off the floor, as the papsan is a low-set one. But still - stupid, stupid mummy !! Cam bawled, but more in shock than any pain, I think - being carpet and the fact he didn't fall far means it was definitely only a very minor fall. Naturally he got a gazillion kisses and cuddles from a guilty me and he quietened down quickly, and actually went to sleep (he's still asleep 30 mins later). And I sure learned my lesson(s) before I did anything REALLY dumba$$. Poor baby.

Ah ... I spoke too soon as he's now awake, so guess the rest of my post will be done in bits n pieces.

Bec - thanks hun for your kind words to us. You're pretty special too, don't forget. Eighteen months ago I never imagined I'd connect with people so well via the internet - I was never into chat rooms etc. But BB is a fantastic site and I find it an invaluable source of information. And I think our group of mums is pretty darn terrific! Keep your chin up with the house-hunting ... it's easy to be "over it", I know the feeling! Sorry to hear your paed appt is so far away - little Jake sounds like a trooper.

Stacey - glad to hear you guys survived your DS's b'day sleepover. Cam isn't a "chubby" bubba ... he's now 8.6kg and 73cm long. No cute little fat rolls on him whatsoever. In fact, no teeth whatsoever either!!

Gotta fly - Cam's wanting some attention and it's a little too hard to type with him on my lap. He wants to type too . BBL to finish personals.

    Andie xx
