Oh my god Cass, I was almost in tears reading your post. I am so sorry about your nephew.

Just a real quick post today, got to go to work so over it, but holidays start wednesday so I am almost in a good mood about it! I can't believe its only 10days and my little girl is 1. I can remember, this time last year I was at a friends house for a bbq and I started having strong braxton hicks and thought I was going to go into labour!

Kailee is being spoilt with 2 parties this year, one that we go away for down the far south coast this coming saturday so my mum and school friends can be there and then the following saturday at our house for my dad and the husbands side of the family!

My little girl just got home after going out with daddy so best be off.
Heads up Cass, things will get better.

Cass - such a sad story... that poor girl... what good mothers instincts though, to be able to feel that something was wrong - yet so sad that they didn't listen to her... I hope you have fun studying - which uni are you going to?

But GOOD news for me!!! We signed a contract on a house this morning! YAY!!! Its 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, A/C, 4 living areas, fully fenced. It isn't the best house in the whole world - in fact, from out the front it is quite ugly (they have built in the double lockup garage to make a rumpus room), but it has new carpet and new paint, and we will just need to put security screens on some of the windows and the bck sliding door. Doesn't have a dishwasher, but does have a hole for one to fit into when we can eventually afford to buy one. Its currently owned by Autism Queensland, and has been used as one of those houses where people with autism can live in the community, and have some kind of independence. Because of its residents, they have done some funny things - such as having locks on some of the kitchen cupboards and drawers, and i think that is also one of the reasons that they converted the garage into a rumpus room.

Anyway, we are going to have Emy's birthday party in our new house! Settlement should be on the 2nd April, and we will have her party on 12-13 april (can't have it any closer to her birthday coz my parents are going to new zealand for 2 weeks). But anyway, then we can have a combined 1st birthday/housewarming party!

Sorry for no personals - but can't really remember all that i read! BTW, has anyone else puta started doing strange things? On BB, I used to just scroll too the bottom of the page and there would be a reply box on that page, but recently i have had to click a button that says 'post reply' or something like that, and then a new page loads with the reply box. Its very annoying!

Karina - Claire's first isn't she? Well HAPPY BITHDAY for Monday!

Oh Cass.. big to you hun. I hope things start to look up for you guys.

Claire... HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR TOMORROW!! OMG I can't believe 1 already! At least I have another 24 days to try to get used to the idea.

Sarah, how are you going up there in wet T/Ville??

Ali... WOOHOO!! How exciting! Congratulations to you and Jason.

We're having Oskar's party the weekend after his birthday, so 29th March. Just a sausage sizzle with around 30 peeps. I have all the best intentions of making his cake... well at least decorating it anyway. We'll see how that pans out. Now that I've put it out there it might make me make sure I do it!!! I'm trying to decide between 2 different ones at the moment, one will take a fair bit longer to do but is sooooo totally cool!!! Hmmmm I think that's all for now, I swear I still have baby brain!! hugs to all.

Thanks For the birthday wishes for Claire! We had her birthday party today and she had a great time, even if she did sleep for half of it LOL! She got heaps of stuff and loved playing with the other kids. Mum and I went shopping for foood yesterday, for the party, and while we were out she kept wanting to get out of the trolley and push it, so my mum went into a toy shop and got one of those cart things so she could walk it around the house. She absolutely loves it! She also go table&chairs set, Duplo, clothes, musical toys fluffy toys, play doh... HEAPS of things.

hmm now exactly one year ago, I was sitting at home asking DH when the baby was going to come.. and ringing the hospital telling them "i've been having BH every 7 minutes for the last 18 hours. Its really annoying. When is this baby going to come??" and they just told me "take some panadol and have a sleep".

Cass, I still have moments of baby brain! I'm sure Oskars party will be great. Good luck with your cake! My mum was keen to make Claires, so I let her make it!

Ali, congrats on your house! Thats great news. Hope the moving goes well.

Richelle, woohoo for holidays! Lucky Kailee getting two birthday parties!

Cass, I'm sos orry to hear about your nephew. What a tragedy.

well I am so very tired from our huge day today. Dh got to come home early, eat dinner, play computer, watch TV , have a nap.... while I helped my mum clean up after the party.

Hello ladies. I just thought I'd pop in so I can pass the time till 12pm. Its Claires first day at daycare today. I've only just dropped her off and I'm missing her already. It was a good drop-off though. She is at family day care and there are two other little girls there today. I put her down and she straight away went over to the other girl and they started smiling at laughing at each other. So I was happpy. At least she wasnt upset. I had to leave quickly so that I didnt start to get teary! I'm feeling ok though. But I still miss her.

    Hello,
I would like to join this group if thats ok.

My name is Sarah and i am almost 23, My son Lochlan was born on the 27th of march 07, I cant believe how quick the last year has gone, i cant believe he is almost one.

A little about Lochlan, i call him Lochie
He weighed exactly the same as his older sister Kaia at birth 4130 grams.
He has two bottom teeth and his top right tooth is just coming down now.
He is a formula fed baby.
He is commando crawling atm, he can get up onto his knees and rock back and forth on all fours, and just this week he has been able to go from all fours to sitting up awe its so cute when they learn something new.

He says mum, dad, ta, bub, and a few other words here and there...

He adores his big brother and sister and they adore him.

It would be great to talk to mums that have babies the same age.

Look forward to getting to know you all better, hopefully making some online friends and to hearing all about your babies and children.

Hi Kajolo! Yay for Lochie doing the commando crawl. The last year has gone sooo quickly!

Ali, hope your hours-buying is not too stressful. I'm not looking forward to selling my home/buying another. The first time was annoying enough but we got there in the end!

    Hi all,

well I'm guessing all our early March bubba's and mummies (and daddies of course) are worn out from all the partying as it is so quite in here!

This time last year I was in hossy with my very wakeful baby falling in love :-) Not much different from now really :-)

We decided against having a party for Ari as DS 1st birthday was a flop (the same weekend as Christmas and no-one except his godparents turned up :-( we thought it would be fairer if we had a quite family onlything so in the future when they are looking through baby pictures we don't have the whole why did ari have a big party and I didn't.

So we filled the longue room with balloons and pressies and waited and waited.. she slept till 8:40am! She got a peek a block wagon, some bottles for her baby doll, a pram for baby doll, a little handbag with toy phone, purse, keys, mirror, a little fold out sofa, clothes, books and some other little bits and pieces. DS got a "happy big brother day" pressie as well. We spent the morning at Riverway lagoons eating fairy wand biscuits and baby cakes then had to go to DS first soccer game. This evening we had cake and candles and thought we'd finish off with sparklers - I caught the head of a lit match under my fingernail and burnt/melted myfingernail - OUCH I think I would rather labour. Will post some pics soon.

Wishing all the other bubba a HAPPY Birthday and thinking of all us mummies as we reminise/

Oh Cass that must have been dreadful! How are you going? Thanks for putting that list together for Kajolo! I couldn't wrap my head around it. I did think of a couple more.

    Also we have
Rachels little girl Grace 8th march?
    Shell little girl Emily 21st?

Hope all are well, as you may have heard we are waiting on the arrival of either Af or a BFP which is making life interesting around here as DH has just had his vasectomy and was quite adament about only having 2 kids :-) I am completely torn as yes I would have liked another but not at the cost of my marriage and I kind of figure if we have conceived then it was obviously Gods will or meant to be wahtever you want to call it. Anyway sorry for the rant/blah

Hello! A week away and so much has happened! Welcome Kajolo.
Oh my goodness I can't believe a year has gone. Cass, I was doing exactly the same as you last year around this time, I was in early labour for 4 days straight until Kailee was born!! She has had her first party, but it wasn't that exciting for her as there was only one other baby, much younger that she kept making cry.
So the next one will be fun! Happy birthday to those bub's that have had them already!

Updates on Kailee - We are now copying words, bad words, that she hears get thrown around when mum kicks her leg on the bed end! She is becoming a pain with wanting to walk everywhere and won't let you hold her hand and I can't find one of the proper harnesses I want so I got a cheap one and its useless! She has finally started being affectionate giving cuddles. Its so nice to have my little girl! The only times we were getting cuddles was at bottle and bed time other than that we got mauled and bashed lol (in a fun way).

We took her to a wildlife park while we were away and she loved looking at this tiny little echidna. Then later almost got clawed by a mummy kangaroo who didn't appreciate Kailee's excited arm movements! I have never grabbed a child and walked away so quickly in my life, I was almost in tears I was given that large a fright, sounds pathetic reading it in type! But she loved patting the Koala's and chasing the ducks (guck).

Well, I better get to bed. Hope all is well!
