I love the Aldi nappies too. I find them better than Snugglers and Babylove and almost as good as huggies.
:O)
I lost 0.7kg this week. Slow and steady.

Morning girls. Thought I'd pop in and say Hi! So... Hi! lol
Finding it difficult to get on and post a big one cause I've been so busy.
Re the challenge... urgh weekends are so bad for me!! I work all weekend and my diet suffers because of it! Not enough water and a few bad things slipped in!!! I figure I'm going strong at the gym so that should make up for it
I think Em has finally decided to grow lol. We have been working on his manners now and he is saying yes please and thank you finally!
Sheree I loved the car bed!! Awesome!! I don't know if I am meant to link this as the images come from a commercial site but this is the bed I want for Em Thomas Bed. The problem is I can't find it anywhere lol.
Christine Happy Birthday gorgeous girl! Sounds as though you had a good one! That cake sounds divine!
Lorelle We don't have Aldi here
I have been lazy yet again this morning. Didn't get up till 20 minutes ago. I really need to work on that lol. I am so not a morning person. Em is watching puzzle play and loving it as its all about cars and trucks today lol. I want to get to the gym early as I have alot I want to get done today. Only a month or so till I am back at uni so I better get my butt into gear and get some stuff organized lol.
Will be on the computer a bit today so will try and pop back in! Have a good one girls.
xoxo
lorelle - we dont have an Aldi down here, never actually seen one, but heard they are great for nappies. funny you asked if i have found an activity for Archie...just then got off the phone to a swimming instructor, booked him in for 10 weeks of swimming lessons starting next week, can't wait! Well done on all that weight loss what a huge achievment!
leanne- yay on the 700grams, well done! another loss is fantastic
nat - yay at Em using his manners, Arch has just started using them too, its so cute when they use them. tried to check out the Thomas bed but the pic didn't load up grrrr
Just signed Archie up for swimming starting next wednesday, can't wait to start, think jay will want to go in with him next week as he has the morning off then. I WON POKER!!! It ended up being between Jay and i and i won woohoo!!! It wasn't for money, just bragging rights. Archie is having huge trouble getting himself to sleep at night again. He will scream for ages and we have to go in there heaps before he actually goes to sleep, if we wait til 8:30 he will go straight to sleep though so maybe he just needs a later bedtime.....i really like the child free time at night though thats the problem...we had a great routine that i got from parent helpline that worked wonders for a month, now it doesn't make a ***** of difference, why do they have to change all the time! Also, fo the first time ever he is wanting his Dad over me! Its really weird cause he has been a total mummy's boy for 20 months and now all of the sudden im not allowed to put him to bed only daddy. Its great for Jay he's loving it, and im enjoying a little bit of freedom all of the sudden
Christine: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! OXOX Diets don’t count on birthdays, good to hear you had a great day!
Elissa: I’m hoping Jayden isn’t jealous of the new baby, other than that I’m sure he’ll be a great big brother. Congrats on winning poker! How exciting about the swimming lessons. We go to 2 of my SIL’s as they both have pools, 1 SIL has been banned from going anywhere near Jayden in her pool though as she is too rough with him and doesn’t let him get his breath back after she puts him under, the last straw was last week when we were there and she was in the pool with him and had a few drinks, she nearly pulled his arm out throwing him in. Jayden always wants Chris now too, its a little bit sad but great Sunday mornings when he calls out for daddy!
Lorelle: I keep meaning to try the Aldi nappies, I have heard they are good.
Leanne: Congrats on your weight loss! Slow & steady wins the race!
Nat: The thomas bed is fantastic, I’ll send you an email....I have seen them on ebay but they are probably all pick up only. Its hard to eat right when you work all the time, its easier just to quickly grab something on the way home! We do that way too often!
I was 14wks yesterday and I have still only gained 1kg, I had gained 1kg a while ago then lost .5kg then gained .5kg.....I’m sure I had gained more than that with Jayden by this stage (not that I am complaining!) I can’t find my diary from 2005 so I’m not sure but I know that I was 26wks when I weighed what I do now at 14wks but I started off 9kgs heavier this time too......Scary anyway!
Nat you can't find them cos that's a US site...Spotlight and ToysRUs have Thomas beds though....don't know if you have them in SA though. Lol Darc knows exaclt how to say please and thanks but she is so selective the little buggar - then sometimes you give her something and without prompting - "Thanks Mum" or if she gives me something and I don't speak - "Thanks Mum!" glare glare!
YAY Elissa - I only know how to play snap and Rummy so I'm impressed!!! With the sleep thing what were you doing that doesn't work any more? I'm so proud of my girlie ATM finally I can say she's a top little sleeper. Hops in her bed, pulls up the covers and says see you later! Rolls over and goes to sleep. Same in the days too...sorry not bragging, I do feel for you, I've been to hell and back with the sleep thing.
Christine and Shazz, hang in there, you can do it.
Great news on your loss Leanne!
No Aldis out here in the middle of no-where either.
Mum and Dad are coming out this weekend.
lol Kim I know its a US site. I have found a place that does them in Australia... for over $900eeek!!! I should go into Spotlight this week but ToysRUs don't have them over here. If I can't get that particular one then I'll just keep the cot as it turns into a toddler bed.
Tania The less weight gain the better lol. Thanks so much for the email. Its a buggar they are pick up though! Yay on being 14 weeks now!!!
Ellissa Archie is going to love his swimming lessons. I can't wait for Em to get back into his this term! YAY on winning poker too!
After my manners brag I'm ashamed to say there was not one please today lolEverytime I said yes please... he just said YAY lol. Very cute. We went for a lovely walk today and I managed to pick up 3 pairs of sneakers for Em's for only $5 each. Definately a bargain and good childcare shoes. On the way home we stopped at the park which was fun. Em is suddenly fascinated with birds and spent a good deal amount of time watching them lol.
I was thinking of getting him a bird or a fish tank for his birthday... not sure if I can be bothered with the upkeep though lol. He would love it though and that's as close to a pet as he's going to get until I'm working full time and own my own place again.
I suppose I better get off this couch and do something, like clean the kitchen after our awesome dinner. Is anyone else having serious motivation issues? Even being bored and doing nothing doesn't motivate me to get off the couch lol. Perhaps its my body slowing itself down before the uni rush starts up again!
Nat - I was also thinking of getting Lachlan a fish for his Birthday. Those fighter fish don't take much to look after. You can get a groovy small funky bowl and you don't need a filter for them. To me that is a plus!
i did a big post last night and the screen froze, so here i go again....
tania - OMG at your rough SIL, Jayden must be a confident little swimmer though. It feels great to not put on much weight during pregnancy, i was probably 5 kg overweight before i got pregnant and i didn't put on much either, i reckon i would have put on more pregnancy weight had i not been overweight to start off with.
kim - i rang parent helpline about Archies sleeping and a lovely woman gave me a routine to try that worked instantly. I would cook a peice of toast with marg and put it in his room and then gove him a bath. From the abthroom we would go straight to the bedroom so he didn't get stimulated by the telly in the lounge roo. He would get dressed then eat his toast. I would then get into bed with him and read 3 stories, then say goodnight and leave the room, 90% of the time he would go straight to sleep. Now it seems he has changed yet again and we need to tackle this a new way. Put him to bed an hour later than usual last night and he only cried out once so hopefully its just a case of him needing a later bedtime. LOL at Darcy telling you off for not using your manners, that girl is so full of spunk, i reckon your gonna have your hands full when shes a teenrager!
nat - well done on the shoe bargain! Oh gosh, boredom does nothing to motivate me either, its terrible.
eeeeeewww, 1 thing Archie will never be getting is a fish, they freak me out, i know im very strange.....the fighter fish do sound like an easy low maintenance pet though.
Oh my goodness Arhcie suddenly has huge attitude. He has started speaking (or yelling) in thisreally angry voice with this horrible look on his face, it surprises me cause i am always really calm when i tell him off i rarely use an angry voice or yell at him. Im hoping its just cause he is getting teeth through, but i have a sinking feeling that its just cause he is entering the terrible 2's, and i am scared!!!!
Nat: I would get the fish over a bird! I love birds, Jayden loves them even more but they are too messy! As Sheree said a little fighter fish would be great and low maintenance. Wel done on the bargins! I have very little motivation too, esp at work haha....You will be fine once you are back into your normal routine and back at uni.
Elissa: Jayden thinks he is a confident swimmer but he's not really that great haha. I took today off work because SIL#2 who does FDC is sick today (would have been 1st day back since before xmas too) and she suggested SIL#3 (who is the rough one in the pool) could look after him, I just said no I'll the day off as I thought if he went over there she would have him in the pool.
I changed Jayden's room around this morning and packed away some clothes that don't fit him and put clothes away in his wardrobe instead of the drawers under his change table....Nesting already perhaps?
Just got a text from my niece, she just got her license and she wants to go out to celebrate....Have a good day all.
Agggh terrible 2's already Elissa. Maybe boys start earlier. Well really they are only 4 mths away. How scarey is that! Lachlan has been hitting me lately, getting frustrated and angry. Ohhh boy what have we got ourselves in for.
Well I am exhausted today. Lachlan has had 2 bad day and night sleeps now. The night before last he woke 5 times until 1am and last night the last time I got up to him was 3.30am this morning and I lost count how many times before that. Must be teeth, his poos are mushy, but his gums appear ok and no fevers here either. I will be soooo glad when these teeth are all done. Lachlan is sooo not a good teether.....
Well off to bed for me.
Night.
tania - good choice on staying home. sure sounds like you are getting very excited about the arrival of your second beautiful bub.
sheree - glad im not the only one, yeah it is scarey to think that they are only just over 3 months away from being 2 years old! Hope Lachlan hurries up and gets those teeth through.
I have just spent 3.5 hours trying to get Archie down for a sleep!!! He was so tired but just wouldn't give in, he usually goes straight to sleep during the day, he just kept playing int he room really happily, but i was getting stressed cause Jay is on night shift so he is trying to sleep in the room next door and the walls are paper thin, and here is Archie singing songs and playing with his puppet as loud as can be. I ended up going in there and singing the lullaby that i used to sing for hours on end when he was tiny, as i was singing he grabbed my hand and stroked his forehead with it and shut his eyes, so sweet!
Oh how sweet Elissa. Yeah I wish these teeth would come thru soon, unlikely though knowing him. This could go on for weeks and months as it always does. Just when I felt like we were doing ok again!!!
Well I have had less movement then I did at 12-13 weeks and I have been starting to freak out. You would think it would get stronger and more consistent - not less and less and weaker and weaker. 2 weeks and bugger all movement. I have been convincing myself bubs is facing my back to get thru the last couple of weeks.
Anyway yesterday I ordered a doppler and should be here 2morrow in the post. I think bubs got scared of Mr Doppler man coming, cause I just got a definite jab - YAY!!!
I hope my worry and anxiety stops soon. I know after my 18 week scan I was heaps better with Lachlan. Hopefully this pregnancy is the same.
Hang in there Sheree - you're nealry half way! woohoo! I have been worrying about you and Sara all day. How's the water up there?
Exactyl what I was going to come and post Nat. A. I've got zero motivation for anything ATM and B> Darcy only let me get 3 hours sleep last night!...after I said how great she had been... My eyes are hanging out lol. I had to run a training day today and I could hardly think what I wanted to say....
Elissa that's similar to what I do, though Cam will be home in 2 weeks and the routine will no doubt change again. At the moment we have quiet time on my bed while she has a bottle then she hops into her bed. It's more comfy than the lounge, but with Cam home I guess that won't happen....he's going to have to learn how to tone it down.
Why can't kids just wake in the morning with a full set of teeth? LOL!
Poor little mite has a temp, the runs, enough drool to fill the dam, and grumpy and clingy as. Even daycare commented today that she's not herself. Might have to keep Katy home tomorrow. It's going to be hard not to go to work cause I love it so so much but I guess I'll get over it (!!!!!)
Better get back to my poor little crying sore hot teething almost two year old princess.
BBL for personals, if not tomorrow for sure.
Nite.
leanne that is shocking you'll have to stay home you poor thing lol but definately Katy needs her mummy at times like these
Hi girls,
I have been so slack with posting lately. I am so sorry.
Leanne - Oh poor Katey. I hope she is feeling better soon poor bubba girl. Oh and i can imagine how hard its going to be for you to have to be away from work. Don't be to sad about it hun!
Sheree - That is totally rude about your roof! Which insurance company are you with??? Maybe its time for a change!! I really hope they pull their fingers out soon and do something about that roof! I can't believe Fairbairn Dam is chockers! I've been and stayed at the cabins there once before and its a DAMN () big dam!
I just posted and now i can't see what everyone else posted!I am that tired i feel drunk!! I think its time for bed.
HI TO EVERYONE ELSE!!! I AM SORRY I MISSED YOU! HOPE YOU ARE ALL WELL!
Be back in the morning to fix my mess!
