Hi ladies. Just thought I would say hi. I have a little girl India who will be 2 on the 28th. Thought I better join this forum. I have a 9 week old baby girl named Seraya too. I have been on here talking with March 08 mums and forgot all about my first little princess!! Hope I can get to know you all.
India is in the process of potty training. She can do wees no probs but getting her to tell me before she does a poop is still a work in progress She talks very well and can count to 10 and say the alphabet and knows about 8 colours. SO we are very proud of her. Happy birthday to all the toddlers turning 2 in May!!

Hope he had a great day Sheree, how is the unpacking going?? I always envy those rich people who get packers and unpackers in and jus walk into a completely organised house! (DH used to be a Hire a Hubby and he once had to put up pictures in a house for an unpacking comp. so even that sort of stuff is done) I am not looking forward to moving again.
Leanne- gosh you have had such a bad time with illness! prob better a service station loo than one at work LOL I hope you are feeling much better and your morning tea raised heaps of money. I am going to one on saturday morning. Also bummer baout the course but your new plan sounds good.
Kim- lovely to hear from you, woohoo on the new stuff. I agree with the others about blighted ovums, you never see a heartbeat cause a baby actually never forms.
Sara- how did Brent go with the interview? How are you guys going? I can't believe how big Colby is now, it only seems like weeks ago she was born!
Elissa- hope Jay gets the job, is it in Adelaide though? Yuk about Archie not sleeping well, Riley has been waking up every night at about 2 or 3am, i think it may be cold so I might get a heater in his room.
Nat- how is uni going? any more pracs coming up? We just had 2 first year students at school. they made me feel old they were 18!!! Let me know if you need any help with assignments.
Shazz- you sound like you are doing fabulously with the study, good on you.
Better get off to school now, I just wantd to actually acknowledge everyone for a change LOL

Thanks for the birthday wishes girls. Lachlan had a gr8 2nd Birthday and was spoilt rotten. We had a little party for him based on Thomas the tank engine (his all time fave!!!).

Sorry I have not been around and sorry for the lack of personals. Wade's parents have been here all week helping us finish off the moving process ie: put up blinds and odd jobs around the house. We are about 90% complete now, and after this weekend, hopefully it will all be over. Gosh Christine, wouldn't it be nice just to pay someone to do it all. I guess for me I am nesting and just want everything to have a home this time round, last time we moved it was so so rushed, so it is nice to have a home for things and not have the same thing in 30 different places IYKWIM. I do not envy this removalist guys that do this for a living - WHAT A JOB!!

I am soooo.... nesting atm it is ridiculous. I really haven't stopped all pregnancy, so it is time to slow down in the next week and put my feet up, no wonder i have hardly put on any weight this time round, it is gr8.

Lachlan woke 8 times last night, so Wade and I are buggered today. He didn't have any temps, but today is sniffely and snotty and all week has been a right little terror with his feeding. I was getting so frustrated but then today it was obvious he was getting sick!!! Gave a dose of panadol and nurofen before bed 2nite, just need some rest ourselves. I haven't been sleeping well at the best of times lately, so more then ever need my rest atm.

5 more weeks until my caesar.... Omg!!! How time flies, 2nd pregnancy. Just can't beleive it really.

We had a small party for Lachlan yesterday and invited all the 2 year old kids we know around our area and they had a gr8 time. But people can't read invitiations, we specifically asked for no pressies, so what did they do..... Hopefully now I will be home more often with our newborn, we can have more mothers group type sessions. It will be nice. Esp seeing as we are purchasing a $700 expresso machine. Won't that be fab! We have an insurance credit at our Electrical store for $2000 and nothing we really need, so thought that would be nice.

Off to Mackay on Monday for a gyno appt and will be back on Monday, and finishing our move this weekend, so chat to you all at the end of the week when i get back from Mackay.

Ohhh and Kim just going back on a few posts, but on the note of nappy bags, I even forgot a nappy today and I left at 9am and didn't come home till 4pm and lachlan did a poo at about 2pm!!! Ooopsss.... better get my act into gear with another little one, how slack am I!!!!

Got my new fridge yesterday! Even when I put everything out of the old one it - it's still mostly empty! lol. Cam got his telly too....I can't tell the difference (except the size of course - makes no difference to the 'experience').

I have some more dumb miscarriage questions that I trust you guys, rather than the general forums.
How long will me HCG take to drop? I can't O until they do.

I've still (three weeks later) got cramps every now and then. THey aren't bad but enough for me to notice. Should I be worried? Or is it just that it will take longer for my uterus to go back to shape.

It is actually 5 weeks Kim, gosh I hope it aint 3 weeks, everyone says I have dropped, but I really don't want him to come too early.

Now as for your questions. I really didn't have a problem both times, so maybe you should go and see the doc. Hcg levels I would have expected to come back to normal by now, how do you know they haven't???

ShereejoyCongrats on the new addition when he arrives!! I just had DD2 9 weeks ago via c section. India was born vaginally so it was a different experience for me, painful as well. But bringing these little tykes into the world is nothing but painful LOL. If you want any pointers on caring for a toddler and newborn at the same time, ask away! I tell ya, after having a cesar and then trying to come home and deal with a 21 month old and a newborn whilst trying to recover from major surgery is a task worthy of a medal. But it can be done. I am sure you will have help and support. My mum came up to help me but DH and her ended up having a huge fight and he tried to kick her out. It turned to be one of the most stressful weeks of my life!! But anyhoo it is all water under the bridge now. Well mud under the bridge, since they still hate each other. :S But having a toddler and a newborn can seem so hard and impossible at times, but it does get easier!! And it is so nice to see them bonding with each other as they get older. I am enjoying it. Until they start fighting over clothes and boyfriends!
Kim I had a miscarriage before I had Seraya, lost it at 9 weeks with no fetal heart beat. I had a D&C and wanted to concieve again straight away. I was getting all prepared to buy the basal thermometer and get my HCG levels tested but I had my period about a week after the D&C and concieved straight away. So in that area I really have no idea. But it is nice to know that it is possible! Basically I don't know anything about HCG levels but usually you need to get your period before you O as I understand it. You can get Maybe Baby which reads a saliva specimen to tell you when you are O from the fern like pattern it leaves on the little microscope that comes with it. It retails for like $70 from any pharmacy.
I see that some of you are doing uni? I am hopefully starting my BA in July. Will switch degrees in 12 months when I have decided what I want to do!! I will be going to the University of QLD. So can't wait. Will be nice to get out of the house and do something with myself. DH and I are having marital probs atm. Probs that have been happening for a looong time. Basically he works 7 days a week and spends about 7 hours a week with us. It is getting beyond a joke and he is convinced that we need all this money on hand in case something bad happens. Its a disease that he can't seem to realise he has. I am tossing up leaving him because we fight all the time and he gets very nasty to me. It isn't the environment I want to raise my children in. I feel like a single mum and its driving me spare. Not to mention he has access to all the bank accounts and pays me a wage. I don't have access to any of it except what he pays me. Sorry to introduce to me as a whiny potential single mum, but sometimes I just don't know what to do. He isn't willing to change and I am pretty much damned if I do damned if I don't.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Kim when i lost a baby at 9 weeks I had AF a month or so after the bleeding finished from that then was pg with Erin the month after that. I didn't have a D&C cause in NT at that time they said I didn't need one unless the bleeding went on for more than 2 weeks which it didn't.
I have heard that you can get pg quickly after a m/c. I didn't really have cramps much after the initial loss.

Kim ! my sister also fell pg the first month after a MC with a d&C
i would have expected that your HCG leverl would be back to normal too ( sorry i know this is really insenstive but i can't remember whether you had aD&c or not ) if you had a D&C iwould probably go and get checked out let us know how you go ok

Reenie it is not nice to live in these situations and seriously hard to make the descison to move on i want to wish you well with what ever you decide to do just know that there is help out there for you to access if you need it

sheree - Great to hear Lachlan enjoyed his party, and that the moving is nearly complete. Only 5 weeks to go, wow! You look fantastic

JAY GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe it! After applying for this job for 7 years and getting knock back after knock back he finally got in. We worked out that he would have applied about 15 times over the years and we would have spent around the $10000 dollar mark on travelling to Adelaide for interviews, turned out to be a good investment though thank goodness. We both cried when he got the good news and several of our friends and family cried as well, everyone is so happy its great. This means that we will be moving to Naracoorte, which is 1 hours drive from here, not too far away from everyone. Our house will be put on the market on Monday, a friend of ours is an agent so we will get a good deal there. I pity the poor person who buys this place though, heater is stuffed, water softener is stuffed, roof leaks, ***** neighbourhood, kitchen drain is blocked. We cannot afford to fix any of it on the money Jay is currently on, so will be selling as is (Ihope!). Properties for rent or sale are very scarce where we are going thoguh, so am a bit worried about how we will go finding somewhere to live, but im sure it will all work out in the finish. Tomorrow will be spent cleaning like a madwoman so we can get an appraisal Monday arvo.

Sorry for the me post, i just couldn't help myself, this is such a huge thing for us.

My name is Lorelle & my 1st born is my daughter Cendrine who turned "2" on the 6th of May (I had her at the ripe young age of 40, & DP Adam was lucky enough to be 30, LOL. We live in a large country town & I jokingly keep telling him guy's here have 3 kids by the time they are 30, Ha!! )

ELISSA, what brilliant news with JAY getting the job after such a long journey ... He must be so damn relieved too !! ... How exciting in that the house is on the market (I'm secretly hoping we will too next year, house has just become too darn small )

Adam is away for the w/end with the boys from work ... A big golf w/end ... Oh, he so deserves it. I'm so wrapt for him, as I did have my 4nites in Sydney at the Novotel last Dec (that was such a blast, big king-size bed all to myself) ... Going back later this year on my own again (I catch up with a girlfriend & her family there too .. met her overseas years ago she is such fun to be around ... I guess I am too ).

thanks guys so much, i am pretty confident that our house will sell fairly quickly as it will be very cheap, we are gonna have a hard time finding a new place though, that has got us worried.

Lorelle - When are planning on selling? There is a fair chance that we will have to rent a 2 bed unit when we move as there is just nothing available so that will be nice and cramped for us, im sure we will manage though. Hope Adam is enjoying his weekend.
