christine - oh, im sorry your not ttc anymore, its not a nice feeling knowing that you wont be doing it again. I think you just have to try and remember and focus on the positives, such as your beautiful 3 children, your house and all the other wonderful things in your life now and in the future.

sheree - now you have me confused (not hard to do!), who was it that slept through the night??

tania - FDC is a great idea, you get the best of both worlds, i thought about doing it, but i know that i wouldn't want to have to look after other people's kids, and i would be biased and treat Archie better than them, at least im honest i spose! Chris sounds like a stubborn bugger, i bet he is completely head over heels for Ashlea, he just wont show it to spite you! Its great that you are excited about your LC appointement, says alot about your current bf relationship, yay! Glad you are over your cold, hope the ABs kick Jayden's cold in the butt. Gorgeous new pic of Ashlea in your ticker!

I am sitting on the couch with a very sleepy boy cuddled up to me, thats what happens when he insists on getting up before the sun! Gorgeous day here, 18 and sunny! It;ll be the first time i use the clothes line since we moved here 2 months ago. Have met a few kids the same age or a month younger than Archie lately and they are all taller and chunkier than him, which is really strange cause he has always been the biggest for so long, that reminds me, i should book and appointment for his 2 year check up at CYH. Also he has lost a kilo in the last few months, i guess they all just develope at their own rate, he'll prob be bigger than everyone again by next month!

I was ttc Elissa but now we can't afford it (mortgage repaments $2035 per fortnight) and I am too old to leave it a few years so no more babies for me. I am quite sad about it, of my MG 3 of them are now pg so I am pretty envious but I have to remember that this will be their 2nd child and I already have 3 so I should be grateful for what I have.

    Hugs Christine

Elissa: I hope Archie starts sleeping in again for you...I like Jayden to wake up at about 7.30am so I can be up earlier and have brekki and a shower in peace. What snobby mummies!! Well least you tried!

Sheree: Woohoo on Riley sleeping 12hrs! I don't think Ashlea has gone that long yet but she does sleep through some nights, I'd wake her up for a feed before 12hrs anyway because of her weight loss.

Leanne: Congrats on the 1 kg!!! Something is better than nothing. I'm going to buy an excercise bike this weekend I think, I have to lose my extra kgs. I only have 2kgs to get back to what I was before Ashlea but still 10kgs to get to what I was before Jayden, somewhere in the middle I'd be happy with.

Kim: Who cares about the housework, take care of yourself and if you don't feel like doing anything thats your body telling you you need to rest! YAY for moving into the new house soon!!! That was quick (seems it for me anyway) Can't wait to see pics!

Christine: Mortgage repayments are a killer aren't they! Thats what Chris' problem is with us having Ashlea, he thinks we can't afford it. I think we can but we'll see how much shopping I do while I'm on Mat leave hehe.

I'm thinking more and more I don't want to go back to work, but I will need to earn money so I was thinking of doing FDC. I thought about it ages ago but didn't do anything about it but now I really want to do it. My only problem will be the dogs, so I'll have to get fencing or something to section off a part of the backyard. I won't be doing anything until Ashlea is at least 6mths old so I have a while to organise something.

We have an LC appt today, I'm very excited to go this time as I'm sure Ashlea has gained a bit of weight and she has only had 3 EBM bottles since last Friday (2 were yesterday cause I had milk that had to be used and then because of that bottle I got too engorged and she couldn't/wouldn't latch on). Jayden is on AB's for yet another cold, I thought he was getting conjunctivitis but it cleared up over night, but the Dr gave us eye drops just in case it flared up again. I think I am nearly over my cold (not that it was bad at all) and Ashlea is not sick at all haha. I took Ashlea to Chris' work yesterday, he almost seemed a bit proud introducing her to ppl and he was making gooey faces at her the other day....there is hope for that boy yet!!

Jodie said to say hi to everyone, she said Shelli is nearly walking and she is a dream child compared to Shaun who is a bit of a handful now. He had his ear checked the other day and he has constant fluid behind both ears, he is seeing a specialist in Oct and probably a candidate for grommits...other than that she said all is well.
Well I better see if my princess is awake, its nearly feed time and I better check on Jayden...He's watching Diego.
Gosh she has done well then on the sleeping to be doing that for you already.

We too have had a bout of conjunctivitis here.

GL at your appt today. Hope things are on the improve for you.

    Riley slept 12 hours.

Lachlan cries all the time lately, does anyone else's children do that? He is a real sooky boy, but geez all this crying is doing my head in. He only sleeps 2 out of a 7 day week during the day, so probably just tired.......... I wish he wouldn't cut out his day sleeps so soon, I really need my rest!

Well Riley is going gr8 guns atm. He was getting very unsettled and we thought Reflux. We still aren't sure, but if it is, it is MILD! I just want to make it to the 12 week mark before I make a decision on it re: Meds etc... But I really don't think we are heading in that direction, provided it gets no worse then atm, then he will be fine. Like I said we thought Reflux as we had a two week period of him being really unsettled, not sleeping, fussy at the breast, standing up on me in pain at feeds, wet burps with pain, terribly upset by hiccups, bad wind - BUT everything seems to have settled again. Hopefully it continues.

He is finally understanding night and day, and the last 3 nights has been easier to get to bed. Yes he did a 12 hour stretch for us, but the last few nights he has gone 7 hours between feeds and 6 hour sleep stretches. So that aint bad for a newborn! Then he will wake at 6.30am and doesn't even cry, just kicks about and doesn't disturb me. I can hear him just kickin about. So then sometimes I don't go and get him till about 8.30am or 9am and he is wide awake. Then he went down easy this morn for his morning sleep, but this afternoon at this stage is a different story. Ohhh well we are getting there and working on it. I still think he is pretty good for a newborn. As long as he sleeps at night - I DON'T CARE!

He is 9 weeks old TODAY. Boy how time flies.....

Ohhh also I got my papsmear results back. I finally have a clear papsmear. Since Lachlan was born I have had a low grade abnormality ever since and had a colposcopy to ensure no cancer after it being low grade for so long and found out I had HPV. When falling pregnant with Riley I had a papsmear that said possible high grade, so had another colposcopy whilst pregnant with him and it came back as low grade. So my 6 week papsmear results have come back all clear. Whahooo... what a relief. So hopefully my HPV has dissappeared too?????

wow sheree! What a relief to finally have those great pap results!! Can hardly believe riley is 9 weeks already, not a newborn anymore. Hope its not reflux for you again, though it sounds as if it wont be any where near Lachlan's reflux thank goodness. I'd reckon that Lachlan has ben teary lately cause he isn't having his arvo sleep every day, maybe going thorugh one of those cranky transitional times, hope he gets over it quickly.

We are off back to stay at mums for a couple of nights tomorrow, have to get Archie's haircut, it is annoying Jay and I heaps, his fringe is always in his eyes. His perfect sleeping 12 hours a night has come to an end (of course), currently waking at 6 and going to bed after a fight at 9:30.

Sheree: One thing I am lucky about is both my kids have been good sleepers to begin with (Jayden, not so much now haha). Woohoo for the pap smear results, I go for mine in less than 2 weeks. I haven't had any abnormalities for years so I'm pretty confident it will be ok. Thats great Riley is doing so well! 6hrs is great sleep...Ashlea woke at 12.30am for a feed (I helped her wake up a bit) then I swaddled her and she slept through until 6.15 or a bit later. If that happens every night I'll be wrapped!

Re: Whingy toddlers!!! I have one as well, I get really frustrated with him at times which is really unlike me I'm usually quite calm and relaxed with Jayden. My poor boy though....I left him with SIL#1 yesterday while I was at child health, when I went to pick him up he was so lathargic looking and whingy, didn't know what he wanted etc...we took his temp and it was 39.1 so I took him straight home and gave him Dymadon. I went to feed Ashlea and SIL#1 stayed with Jayden and took his temp again and it had risen to 40.2 so she put him in the bath for about half an hr and his temp dropped to 38.2 then 37.6. I have no idea why he got the temp as he is on AB's ATM i thought because the AB's were fighting the infection then he wouldn't get a temp??? Does anyone know if this is right? I went in at about 5am and he still felt pretty warm and he was asking for juice (which he never has at that time before other than yesterday morning as well). He is still asleep now but I'll take his temp again when he gets up.

Elissa: Has Archie had a hair cut before or will it be his 1st? 6am is a bit early, I'm usually up around then but I'm not ready for a 2yo at that time LOL. I like to have brekki and a shower before Jayden wakes up.

My niece is getting a tattoo today, so I am going with her....I hope it doesn't make me want to get another one. Not much else planned for today, especially if Jayden isn't well. I have already put a load of washing on this morning and the sun is already out (although its probably cool out there still).

tania - I think antibiotics help fight infections but not virus, maybe Jayden had a bit of a virus as well?? It was Archie's 2nd haircut and he loved it, so cute! Is there anyone in the world who would be ready for a 2 year old at 6am!! Where and what is your last tatoo? I would like one but am way too wussy!

leanne - gosh, ANOTHER virus!!! lots of get well wishes x

christine - God, what a great few days and nights you have had! Is Riley okay now, no more roid rage? LOL

Am at Mum's still, heading home tomorrow. Looks like Jay and I are getting a new car each this week. He found a Fairlane that he is completely in love with, and i found a little Laser, i have been hanging for a little buzz box, it is a '97, will be nice to save on petrol!

I got SO scared this arvo! Arch and I have been sleeping in my sister's room and she has a tall mirror leaning against her wall, usually i remove it but this time i forgot. Archie ran over and pushed it and it just snapped in half and shardds of mirror went everywhere, he was covered in shards of glass!! Thank goodness his only injury was a small cut on his hand, i had visions of scars and hospital time. So, i hope we don't get 7 years bad luck!

On the TTC front, i am on CD 25, have my dr appointment on Wednesday, so will have to test then cause he will want to know if i am pg or not, am so nervous about testing cause the disappointment of a BFN sux, as you all know! Earlier in my cycle i had a morning of dull cramps and a tiny bit of light brown blood when i wiped, was wondering about implantation bleeding but i think it was too early for that. I have had dull cramps this morning again and i thought my pee was fluoro. But you know when u ttc and you make symptoms up?? AAARRRGHHH LOL

Fingers crossed Elissa!! I will have vicarious pgs through you guys now that I won't have any of my own. Glad Archie was OK from the mirror, gosh boys get into some stuff don't they? I can't believe how much Riley injures himself compared to his sisters.
Riley's roid rage seems to have subsided now he is off them, one of Erin's friends had a brain tumour last year and had to have them and her mum said she was the same.
Leanne- i hope you are feeling better, I have it again too. I have never in my whole teaching career seen a winter like this one for illness, we are having at leats 5 kids per class away every day, one day I had 9 off. Last thursday in assembly I think the whole school was coughing.
Hope everyone else is well, glad lachlan is such a good bub Sheree, you must be so relieved.
Shazz- hope the studying is going well.

Leanne: Thanks...Jayden is getting better, his temp was a little bit up the next day but was fine later on. How are you and Katy doing?

Elissa: Whatever it was thank god its gone LOL, I know others have it worse but I can't handle a sick 2yo and a newborn with no help from Chris. Thats great Archie liked his haircut! Jayden hates the scissors but is ok with the clippers. I have an angel on my lower back...I'll see if I can find pics of it and upload it to FB I had photos of me getting it done too. YAY for the new cars! I want a new car mine is costing heaps in petrol! OMG poor Archie, lucky he only got a little cut, fingers crossed he doesn't have 7yrs bad luck haha. I'm sending you lots of BFP vibes! I was convinced AF was coming when I was PG with Ashlea, I tested on the day I was due or the day after and even up until I tested I felt AF was coming. Try not to be too dissapointed if you don't get your BFP this month, it will happen

    Sara: Good luck with moving!!!

Sheree: It was great chatting today, I will make more of an effort to do it more often....now things are getting better here.

We went to the Multicultural Festival today, poor Jayden was so exhausted from walking and it was sooo hot!! He loved the animal farm and the aboriginal dancing. I tried to give him his first taste of ice cream today but he didn't want it! Not complaining though haha. We have nothing planned for tomorrow, hopefully a quiet day at home. I have still got Ashlea's birth notice to put in the paper! Its so late but I can't not do it, might see if I can do it online.

Thanks Leanne I stayed up until nearly 2am uploading them...and reminising(sp?). Great to hear you are both getting better!
Both kids are asleep, I should be doing something productive, but I just can't be bothered! I have done a few loads of washing today, did some painting with Jayden, tidied up the lounge but Jayden trashed it again, tidied Jayden's room after he trashed it cause he didn't want to go to sleep.
I fed Ashlea, but she only fed on one side (usually 2) it sounded like she got a heap of milk as she kept coming off and coughing and choking so who knows if she has had enough, I guess she will wake if she is hungry (I hope)

Tania - glad Jayden is over it. Just checked out all your new pics on FB, ur tat is cute, can not believe how totally diferent you looked with blonde hair!! There's no denying Jayden and Ashlea are siblings. Thanks so much for the TTC support, im gonna need to be reminded that it will happen one day. Hopefully i follow your lead and am pg already! LOL at not putting Ashlea's birth notice in the paper yet, they say thats what happens with subsequent kids, easy to forget the little things.

We are home again. Jay got a new car, very luxurious Fairlane. I didn't get a car though, didn't like any of them in the end, we don't NEED 2 cars anyway. Peeing all the time! Bet its just a full uterus due to AF getting close though.
