I was wondering when Laura's oh so brave facade would start to crumble... and it did tonight. Poor darlin - she said to me I wish this wasn't happening... I wish that you and dad never broke up... I wish that it would all go away...

Just when I didn't think it was possible for my heart to break any more.... God I could hit that man!!!!

I can't wait to go away - and leave all this crap behind for a few days... arghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

aw Vicki, Laura is nine months older than my stepdaughter, she has only just stopped asking if daddy and mommy AND ME (the stepmum!!!) could all live in the same house! It's so hard to explain adult r'ships to a kid. They just want everyone to be happy together, hugs to you Vicki.

Glad you got nice swimmers (and the accessories too, go Vicky!!). You're right about the mummy body. I have gone back to my pre-pregnancy weight but have lost my high butt and cannot budge the tum. I know i should be grateful the kgs have gone, but i still feel a funny shape, and hate being touched where the c-section scar is, it's still sensitive. (not very nice for dh when he's just being loving).

We have bought a rectangle playpen to make up for not being able to make any rooms baby proof, and that's working. It's big enough that we adults can get in there too and sit n play with bilbs at her eye level.

i love watching bilbs light up, do her clapping (one open palm, one fist) and flap around like a little seagull, when the theme songs for the children's tv shows come on (yeh ABC). We're hopefully starting the "Move N Groove Playgroup" next term, it's like Kindermusik classes but low cost.

Bilbs has had bright pastel yellow (think banana custard) bubbly business the last few days, erupting in duck squirts. SHe's not drinking much from me (very unusual for her), not interested in solids (yes, even less than she already wasn't very interested full stop). Even getting her faves down her e.g pureed peach, is a real effort now. i look out for signs of dehydration, not many wet nappies, but no sunken fontanelle. she's Been wanting to sleep during day for a change, and very clingy, sooky. Bonjella and baby panadol have been our life raft. Funnily enough, the panadol isn't wrecking our nappies, like i read it does for other people. Maybe it's because bilbs doesn't have solid motions yet.

2.30am, think i'll attempt to go to bed now, maybe bilbs will sleep til 5am if i'm lucky.

HI gigi - do you have insomnia? i do... I only sleep if I have had medication - which last night I had cold and flu tablets. They have exactly the same stuff in them that I had been giving aston to relieve his runny nose - so I have stopped giving it to him, and he can get it via me. Plus he is only feeding two to three times a day now...

I was surprised at laura's comment - but it made me realise that she is still only a little girl, finding her way in the world. I forget sometimes - especially as her body is becoming that of a young woman, and alot of the time she "speaks" like she is altogether... sigh... poor baby girl.

I'm feeling a littel better today, even though I sound worse. packing and cleaning the house today - ready to go away tomorrow. DH is working only til 10.00 so by 11 we will be on our way! Yay!!!

Chelsea never went down until 950pm... by 1140 she was up screaming and crying, wanting to play. So gave her a 100ml bottle, let her play and back to bed at 1230. 2.30am rolls around and she is up screaming again and crying, give her another 100ml bottle and back to bed. In the meantime im up awake coughing and sadly the bladder isnt coping to well with bubs head puttin so much pressure and the coughin attacks....if i could fit into chelsea's nappies...id be wearing them

Then Craig was up at 5am cos he had to fly to Canberra for some stupid meeting over our payout money.....finally i got to sleep around 7..and Chels woke at 9.

Im not in for a good day...nor am i having one just yet. I sit hear balling my eyes out, they are stinging, my head is pounding, my stomach is churning and aching. I dont have the car cos its at the airport so i cant even go to the doctors to get something for the cough like the hossy told me to yesterday if it kept up.

....and as per usual...i ask myself why and will it ever be over *sigh*

Vicky im sorry to hear about Laura. Have a good trip away.

Gigi... poor Bilby....hope she picks up soon. PLay pens are great arent they, Chelsea loves her... keeps her entertained for ages. I to have not child proofed the house yet....lol

Vicky - enjoy the break you all need it

Kim - oh you poor things. i wore adult nappies in the hospital - it was so much more comfortable considering the stitches.

Gigi - their appitites vary so much dont they. Ella's eating considerably less too. but it could all change next week.

Blanche - what a cheeky little face Emelia has.

Ella is going well. Pulling up to kneeling on her toy box so that's good. I'm taking her swimming again on Sunday and were thinking about 1st birthday ideas....

She turns 11months next week and i'm scratching my head about ideas for her birthday.

Oh her skin is going well too. The oils i add to her food and the new organic creams are holding it all at bay - fingers crossed.

OMG! i know i should be so grateful, evie's been asleep for 4 hours but she barely fed from me and i am rock hard! oh i am in so much pain! all the bottles and expressing stuff is in her room! duh! of course! why wouldnt i keep it in there?! i didnt think i'd need it anymore so i pack it away!!! what a tool.
anyways i am kinda thinking she'll probably be up soon so will want a feed

on the babycenter website you can do a sleep profile of your baby, it's really really interesting and makes u think about their sleep a lot, so i think it's worth doing. it offers suggestions to help with baby sleeping through the night at the end, so check it out!

Sorry to hear about poor Laura, Vicky. mummy's are meant to have a magic button that makes everything okay and we just cant. you are so caring and i know with time laura will come to understand and eventually be sympathetic of your situation
Sorry you're having a hard time Kim, it'll all be over soon, just relax
Christy - teeth for Jovie? It's so hard when they cant tell us what is wrong!!
