Ella is still slithering around backwards, turning corners - hilarious. She is also starting to shuffle around when she's sitting. She can shuffle and turn to grab a toy. i'm so excited! I can get her proper shoes!!

I cant wait to have a scan Blanche! i'm so jealous of you!! will you keep it secret when you find out?
Christy, dont you love our 'days off', like when i ask DH to take evie for a bit...its not like i'm going to sit on my ass or anything, i'm going to hang out washing or clean up or something! i dont think we ever really get time off...especially when you're still up at night

Kim, are you grieving that you are still not pregnant or is it about wanting to be pregnant with another bub?

Luaa - so wonderful all the sudden learning curve of movement!

Blanche - i hope you can sleep before the 20th! how excitement!

Taralee - wonderful to hear sleep is on the improve

BILBY TOOK THREE UNASSISTED STEPS TODAY!!!! to a new mum at playgroup then wanted a cuddle from her. I was a few metres away at the time, watching with a very open mouth catching flies! so proud of my honeybun!

i'm selling on my front closing nappies that don't suit bilby, it's less confusing to have JUST the ones that fit her well, in her stash.

THe playgroup today was our last one until Feb next year, seems like a long gap.
bilby looked very cute in her xmas teddies tshirt with glitter stars, her red nappy and another little bub had a xmas hat on. I think she's so lovely and then people in playgroup and complete strangers in shops tell me the same thing, i am amazed other people think she's lovely too. I think i'm getting better at playing with her now. i lie in the playpen with her and she climbs all over me, the Mummy Mountain. She climbs on the box on wheels that has the wooden blocks in it, which she has decided is The Step and Her Limo. not sure grandma would understand, but bilby thinks it's wonderful.

Solids are still slowly improving. By accident she went to sleep around 7pm - 10pm tonight - her fist sleep today.

gigi - woohoo for bilby! before you know it she will be running! you are sounding really good hun, and I'm glad that you are enjoying playing with bilby. I had PND/PTSD after I had nathan, and it took me until he was 18mths old to start to enjoy this beautiful baby boy that I had been given. It was when I stopped trying to figure out the mystery that was him and just accept him as he was, that things improved. We used to have the best time playing - He is my little S.N.A.G.

Blanche - I can't beleive how quickly your pregnancy is going!! you are nearly half way. I feel very privledged to be in on your secret about pink or blue. I promise I won't tell lol. BTW love the photo of you and your beautiful girl on your ticker. YOu are both gorgeous!

:hugs: kim. How did you deal with the PND last time? depression sucks, doesnt it? it can be so debilatating. I'm up and down still at the moment, even on medication...i think its the pain that I'm in though. been seeing a therapist, and that has been helping too. :hugs:

Ann - woohoo for ella! everyday she will become more and more mobile, and before you know it immoblie ella will be a distant memory!

Christy - a day off do something different would be soooooooooo lovely. this time of year is so manic, that the opportunity to have some time to myself is eaten up with christmas commitments! Why is it that as christmas approaches everyone gets crazy, and wants to catch up?? its like we all have to "see" each other before the year is over or something bad is going to happen!! what about the other 11 months of the year?? I don't get it. never have, never will.

Nelly - tupperware woman extraordinaire! can't wait for you to come and sort my panty out!

Jols - recovered from you partying yet?

me - arghhh...tired and cranky. i hate teeth. those one year old molars are such a pain in the arse....well more correctly mouth! had one of those nights, so are tired and worn out. had the last party at the park yesterday with mums and bubs that I have been meeting since aston was 3 months old. he is the only one running around at the moment, so the monkey harness was in use yesterday (thank you so much christy! its been a godsend!) We were supposed to be going to the new indoor play centre today, but we ran out of gas last night, so now I have to stay home and wait for the gas man to arrive, so that Jake (our dog) will let him the back yard! He is very good at doing his job when noone is home - pity it interferes with my social life. having said that I'm too stuffed to go anywhere today really.... now that aston is back in bed for a snooze I think I am going to follow suit. and knowing my luck the gas man will arrive just as I close my eyes!

have a good day all. xxx

Gigi, Bilbs will be running around in no time!!

Vicky, i know its going so quick this time, quiet scary!!!! i hate teeth too.

Im going to stop giving Emelia cows milk atm and stay on formula i have noticed when she has a bottle of cows milk she will be really grizzly through the day and wont sleep through the night like last night i was up almost every hour and we were up at 6.
it was ther same the other night so i went back to formula for 2 days and she was fine slept all night not grizzly at all, then yesterday i gave the cowsmilk a go for her morning bottle woke from her morning nap a grizzling mess, and didnt sleep at night i will give it ago in a few weeks i guess, but for now im going to go back to the 6+ follow on formula.

last night wasnt as good as the night before, bed at 615, woke at 730 and 830 - but she's not actually awake,i just lay her back down and walk out - i think she had a bad dream or something. Anyways, back up at 12 little drink, back to sleep. woke at 4, put her in our bed as i was too tired to think but she didnt really go back to sleep so i patted her for a minute and put her back in her cot at 450, then woke at 6 but slept in our bed til 7. i think that is the latest i have gotten up since she was born.
Cows milk is working really well for us, doesnt seem to be a problem at all. mind you, i never had her on formula so cant compare it to that. i am still debating whether or not to give her formula at bedtime to beef her out a bit, seeing as that seems to be the reason she wake..oh and those teeth. ggrrr

*hugs* again Kim, I remember grieving pregnancy after Matilda came. And I had heaps of phantom kicks which made it worse.

Tara... no answers mate. We changed Matilda onto formula at a young age by 6 months due to reflux & medical advice & thinking it would mean we would get more than 2 hours straight sleep... but it made no difference to her, so don't run out & get it!! If you think she is hungry try to fit in another meal during the day? So instead of a snack between lunch & dinner try a bigger thing?? Just trying to come up with something tangible you might be able to do.

Well I went to a GP yesterday, I couldn't get into our GP for another week & seeing as I am looking for another one anyway... I found a new clinic which has just opened up with all female doctors. So I went there. She was great, didn't bat an eyelid when I said I was still breastfeeding, on antidepressants and using acupuncture to help through things. She even got a copy of my blood results to be sent to my acupuncturist which was a good sign for me . She thinks I'm pregnant (LOL... even with me explaining that I thought you had to have sex first :P) We have had sex in the past 6 months, but used condoms so there is still a possibility. She also ran a heap of tests jic. I had the same lot of tests run 6 months ago when I was tired, but I am willing to humour her. My wee sample had some protein in it but my blood pressure was 90/60.... so maybe its just a UTI causing all the cramping? She just wants to check the tests because she's convinced I'm pregnant....lol. I'll have the tests done Thursday & then back to find out the results next week.

She did a wee sample & it was BFN, but she thought it may be too early to test & if HCG came up positive than I would have an ultrasound to make sure its not ectopic. But as the pain isn't getting worse, its just not going away she thinks it could be implantation pain? Or uterus stretching (doesn't feel like it did with Jovie though). She also thinks it could be hormonal and AF is coming but the first time is always the worst sort of thing... thus the blood tests and then booking in for U/S next week if they are inconclusive. I mentioned the cyst they found on my ovary after Jovie's birth and she said that was normal and should have either burst (causing major problems) or disintegrated slowly.

ok... well i hope that it gets sorted out for you soon hun. if the pain doesn't subside though, and gets worse you will go to the hospital won't you? (says she who had to be taken there kicking and screaming!)
