Today the pain got worse so went back to a different dr....who now says its severe gastro bug and not gall stones....FFS....do dr's get their degrees from cereal boxes???
$60 later with medication in hand....still not working one little bit. Going to bed. night ladies
aw Kim its so frustrating. In December I went to 3 GP's with my blood test results & got 3 answers.... 1st was that it was iron deficiency, the 2nd was that it was depression that wasn't managed with the meds 3rd was that I needed to exercise more.
Finally last week I got into the specialist who says that everything indicates an adrenal disorder. Whoa... no one can agree.
Kinda scarey though, isnt it? at least we can say if something isnt working for us, but our kids can't!! thats it..i'm getting a medical degree of my own!!
very scary, like the different opinions ive had in relation to my fanny soreness!! seen 4 different people and almost 4 different opinions!!! cant win
kim hope you feel better, make sure you get the u/s though.
OMG call me stupid, call me dumb call me what you want.... i decided to go bacck through all our buddy threads and cut and paste mu posts ( the relevent ones) into word so i can look back and remember the things already forgottne!!! great idea, but up to thread 15 i think and 15 pages later, very time consumming but will be worth it.
it funny to look back at all the super long posts, like when we had time to sit and post!!! there are mostly only 8 pages now days thers around 10 cos we all talk in a few lines!!
Jols - i was just thinking that today myself, about the short succint posts.... and every now and then a big long one.
doctors! dont get me started - i'm soooo over the monthly pain I experience. this month is horrendous. I have spent most of the day in bed, and are about to get back in there again! not that anyone knows what is wrong with me... maybe its all in my head???!!!!
forgive my foggy memory Vicky, but isn't it you who has Endometriosis (sp??) - weren't you going into hospy for an op about that not so long ago? Am i right to guess that if you are still in so much monthly pain, that said op did not work? how frustrating, every person i've ever met with Endo seems to go thru it endlessly.
i wanted to clarify about the controlled crying thingo, something i realised today, that i had meant but not spelt out. The women in my mum's group were talking about putting a baby down in their cot, leaving the room regardless of if baby was settled or not and not coming back into the room for three or 12 hours. This is what upset me so much. So if baby screamed for x hours, so be it. If baby vomitted from crying for hours, they would be left in it.
i realise from speaking to my SIL on the phone tonight, some people do CC graduated, for minutes. On a chair, starting out with patting baby (no eye contact)- working up to being able to move chair further and further, until they'er out the door. But what i heard about on Friday, must be an extreme example.
Like in everything, there are extremes.
KIMBAZ - severe gastro, wow, that's got to be wearing you out, gastro is so debillitating. Are you able to keep any food down hon?
So many festivals on here this month, (Festival of the Arts, Fringe Festival, WOMAD, Garden of Unearthly Delights), so going to take bilby to the free Fringe Family Day tomorrow so she can bop to some live music and circus performers, puppets etc. I just burst with pride seeing her do her funny dancing, puts her head on one shoulder and flutters those bilby eyelashes. i could gobble her all up for dessert, what a cutie.
i'm managing to keep bf-ing her thru the mastitis (to keep up the milk supply) courtesy of the antibiotics, i think they're working. I want to wean her when we're ready, not because of mastitis. bilby doesn't like drinking from a bottle at all, got NO clue what i'd do if suddenly bf-ing wasn't an option for us overnight.
GIGI we have and do if needed CC but we would never leave her more that 7 minutes, we do 3, 5,7 rearly did we get to 7 and we dont even need it anymore (well not at the moment anyway!!) but yes hours is just rediculious, actually thats cruel!!
just changed over sophies canvasses in her room to more girly prints, looks great, will post pic later!!
hellooooooo anyone out there..............................

hi all am here just had a crazy week and weekend
we cc Jake last week only took one night and he is sleeping through again thank god but we have also had to up his reflux meds back to 20mg / day so am off to gp wed to get referral to gastroenterologist
had a girls day at the races on Saturday had lots of little wins of between $2 -15 (I only go $1 each way) and then on the last race I used my scientific approach of betting on the grey and won $95!!!!!!!! on a $1 e/w bet. Was so proud of myself rang daggles who was at cricket....
daggles yay I won $100 (I also had 3rd in the same race)
that's great nelly did you listen to my vmail msg
no daggles but I won $100 how exciting
nelly that's great but I am on my way to the hospital I have broken my hand
WTF
yes I am going to PA i have bone sticking out
WTF I will call you when I know what is going on can you sort Jake
well that sobered me up!!!!!! but he didn't want me there and I was in no fit state to drive so we kept partying on... called sil who had jake ad told her what had happened and she was happy to have him overnight ..... kept partying went out to dinner .... missed daggles call again so called him back... he had to have SURGERY! I then realise that I should be at the hospital my gf calls her ex-partner to come and pick us up (they are living next door to eahcother) and I call daggles to tell him was on my way. He said very tactfully that he would love to have me there but not when I was drunk as a skunkso we went home and had bubbles. He then picked me up after he had finished at the hospital at 1am and of course he was driving himself around though all of this!
so sunday was a write off poor dh can't do anything Jake was a terror and I had to do a party in the arvo. dh rang me to tell me jake had a pooey nappy and he couldn't change it wtf just take it off and leave him nude bottom I can't drive home right now to change it....
made it up to him this morning tho with a daytime special
how was everyone else's weekend?
lol not as eventful as yours nelly!
oh nelly - your dh COULDN"T change his own baby's nappy? WTF - what is he - six years old? pleez! The rare time YOU get to go out, he "cna't manage!!!", no fair!!!!
what would happen if WE said - no, can't do that, baby just has to sit in poo for six hours. (!!!!)
wow nelly thats one hellof a weekend! ! hows DH doing now??? he could have broken it at the strat of cricket season, not the end!!!
us, well sophie seems to be heading towards 1 sleep which is fine if she'd sleep longer than 30 mins! 30 mins all day is not enough, so doing sort of CC for day sleeps, nothing major she pretty much stays in her cot for 2 hours!! not much whinging only been in once, i need some time out! should add the longest she's cried for today is 3 minutes!!
Gosh we are a quiet lot these days...
Are we all busy running around after little people?
My cousin from Canada and her friend arrived last night, so we have two 18 yo pretty girls in the house. Aston ran around showing off all his tricks, because of course he thinks they are here just to see him, and Nathan got all coy and shy, Laura was busy getting herself organised for the Young Leaders Conference that she attending today (had to get up at 4.30am in order to get to Brisbane in time!) so was very "yeah - Hi..." My little girl is no longer - moving right into adolescence now. 6 months ago she would have been bouncing around much like Aston! now she far too grown up and mature to express excitement - that is way too uncool!
They are staying for three days. Thankfully they are happy to dos today. I have a filthy cold, and so does Aston, poor little guy. For all his bounding around last night - making me think he was on the improve - went pear shaped about midnight last night. I had to steam him in the bathroom with the shower running because he has developed croup! still very chesty this morning, so I'm taking him to the doctor as soon as we can get in. I hate that croup cough - its scary -you don't know which way its going to go... so I'm sitting in the bathroom last night praying that the steaming was going to help, otherwise it would have meant a trip to the hospital, and Laura missing out on going to her conference... On the joys of juggling three children. If only I could split myself in three sometimes - no make that four - one for DH too!
How you traveling Gigi? I hope you are feeling a bit better hun, and the fog has lifted, not settled in!!
Kim - how are you??? on the improve? Are the girls better too?
Blanche - hows Emelia and that little man you are growing? Is it still stinking hot in WA?
Ann - how goes the new job? Has Ella settled down in daycare?
Tara - how is everything in your world darlin? are you still planning to move back into your house?
Christy - any word on your mum and any idea of when you might be heading over there?
Nelly - hope you are learning to say no, and stick to the days you planned to work. Hows the matyr going? lol
Jols - love the new prints you have put in Sophies room. very pretty. is it fabric wrapped around canvas?
don't think I've missed anyone - sorry if I have....
have a good day everyone.
mwah xxxx
