    BLANCHE -
    i know you're scared darling
can't wait to hear your news

TARA - what sort of yogurt affected Evie? i've been buying organic yogurt for bilby - first time in my life i've bought anything but the cheapest yogurt, i think the one i get is the JALNA brand. i wanted to give her the plain sort, but she finds that too bitter, so the next step up is the Vanilla one.

VICKY - wow, did you relive the crash a bit when you saw the car?
we are SOOO lucky you are still with us hon!

whoever asked about dummies, i didn't really notice it at the time, but according to our photo library, i can see dummies stopped being important to her around February - i didn't intentionally de-dummy her, it just happened. We do have alot of screaming - as her way of communicating, now. Sometimes it occurs to me, i wonder if she would take the dummy if i offered it to her (to stop even SOME screaming) - then at the relevant time - i am SO distracted by the screaming - i don't evenREMEMBER the dummy idea

poor dh looks like the elephant man or a pig dog - take your pick
he's recovering from the op fine
    BUT
is having a massive allergic reaction to the post op bandages (he is allergic to latex)
we spent all afternoon at hosp with six doctors, came home with antibiotics, steriod creams etc - if that doesn't work - they will re-admit him and put on drips.
So, an unexpected week off from work - he is so sore.

TARA - i would expect a baby with a vaginal infection would look enflamed or have a discharge - get your GP to check if you're unsure?. Given bilby's often very loose bowel motions, and that thrush is caused by faecal matter getting into the vagina, i expected her to have heaps of thrust outbreaks - but this hasn't happened. I find it very "eeek" to clean out her vulva, i'm always terrified of being too rough, don't want to hurt her, but of course, don't want to leave poo there either - it's my most unfavourite thing to do. So much easier to clean the rest of her!

I did notice, back in the early days, when i used supermarket disposable wipes, that bilby looked red - i worked out it was a reaction to the wipes, so swapped over to facewashers and a waterspray bottle - that doesn't irriate her. so i don't think her skin could cope with the perfumes and chemicals in the disposable wipes. (Even though the packet said "Sensitive" "No alcohol" and all those other phrases companies put to suck you in).

Bilby likes to play the drum on her bits! a new trick, makes me cringe, and her father blushes, but she obviously likes it - no parenting book told me to expect this!!!! I'd only ever heard about little boys liking to "play" with their bits.

Bilby spent hours pushing her stroller round and round the hospital today, she just loves pushing!!! Impossible to sit and wait anywhere with her now.

Off to the hospital today for DH's MRI. He is nervous, not that he will admit it, just all his behaviour indicates it - cranky, irritable, smoking heaps! He is in in so much pain and discomfort too. should be interesting.

Yes it was a shock to find out how much damage I had done to my car, and I did "re -live" the accident. I havent driven the car by myself yet. I went to get fuel last night, and took laura with me, and she asked me why did I want her to go with me... I admitted that I was feeling a little nervous going by myself just yet.

Hope everyone has a good day - can't wait to hear the news about Blanche and Jack.

    You next Taralee!!!

oh Blanche!! Good luck today I'm sure you will be so excited to mean your little man, just remember that the end justifies the means

I'm good, busy but good. Mum's getting an MRI done in June to check the growth of the tumour & scheduled for surgery.

Vicky & Nelle - I meant to organise a meet up with you girls, and its Tuesday already .... Maybe next Tuesday? 10.30ish?
