She never said why Chelsea cant have bottles...just that 'She should be off them by now". I copped it at 12 months...and again now pretty much. Ill keep giving them. I guess she (MCHN) sees me giving her formula as a way out of giving calcium/dairy foods. But in actual fact Chels gets yoghurt, custard, cheese (normally needs vegimite on it though) plus foods with calcium....??

    Only 2 milks a day 150ml...

Oh and she said that she siint eating cos im giving her formula which is a load of hog wash too....we have good and bad eating days.

    Woohoo on the chooks

Its funny isn't it Kim, our specialist told us when Matilda was diagnosed with her milk allergy not to worry too much about calcium, but make sure we have magnesium in the diet because that is what helps the body absorb calcium in other foods. He also said that its a load of crap the calcium thing... TBH I still worry about it.

Both my girls may have a glass of rice milk a day which is fortified with calcium, but I have to make sure they eat something else like broccoli (hidden of course) daily and thats about all. I don't push the calcium thing & 6 months on from the diagnosis, 12 months since I've been off milk & I had a blood test recently, my calcium levels are fine.

I agree with you Christy - whatever you have to do to stay sane then do it. i cant believe all the stuff i worried about and it doesnt matter now. i say i'll do heaps different with this baby but who knows! lol all the things you're told not to do are the things you need to do so just do them. kids turn out fine in the end...well, most of them! lol

had a text from Blanche - her and jack are doing well, and she is recovering from the c/s better then she expected.Jack is feeding well, and her milk is starting to come in.

I looked after another little boy today, and him and Aston were so funny together. Aston got a little cranky about sharing mummy!! Callum gave me lots of cuddles and love, which was lovely, it meant that he was comfortable being there with us. I will be looking after him each thursday for this month.

There is no greater gift I think then someone else child "loving" you. For me its like a kind of confirmation that I must be an ok person
