awwwwww jols! so sleepy! and that hair!!!! how cute!!!!! lol just adorable!!
lol had some sort of uneasy 'disagreement' with dh so i dont feel like having more babies now! lmao
Hi Everyone
I was the same last year re: babies..I was happy with my two little boys being close together and a bit of a handful and glad to not be pregnant then all of a sudden I had this maternal pull....like I really wanted another and thats when I went off contraception and was pregnant straight away!!! Be careful what you wish for!!!!
Thats when I wondered if I had rushed into things...like maybe it wasnt a good idea and how much pregnancy does not suit me!!!! Not to mention the whole birth and c-section thing arghhhh
But its all good now and Im coming up to 15wks and have decided that I am getting the baby thing over and done with now and can look forward to the years ahead with my boys..so Im treating this pregnancy as my last and making sure I try and enjoy it as much as possible. I have even purchased a doppler so I can hear babies heartbeat at home...didnt even occur to me to have one for the boys...weird
Good on you Nicola..you sound just like me...when i was pg with chichi. made the most of it..but yeah...i'm wanting that 3rd i think and definately close together...
but then we went to the park this afternoon and i thought this is nice and easy cos its one kid each to look after...BUT i dont feel complete with 2 but dont know if thats because i'm from a family of 3 kids... lol i think ive thought about it too much
Yes two kids and two parents works well, especially when travelling on a plane for example and they are both on your lap....where would the 3rd one go???? or who will hold onto the baby, toddler when one child decides to do a runner down the aisle...ha ha
Its a juggling act. Im from a family of two girls, and I had been told by people that having 3 can be difficult as there is always a middle child and one left out of things blah blah but I believe in the power of 3 (charmed lol) and I think I wanted another baby to see if we would/could have a girl although Im pretty certain now that its going to be another boy as we were going to try the shettles method but it happened to quickly for me to put it into practise, and there was a full moon just before I conceived (boy) and the position (boy) and the dates (boy) lol
I did get told by a psychic lady (before I got pregnant) that there is a daughter coming but she couldnt assure me it was going to be me or a family member like my sister or something....so really that doesnt help me personally ha ha
hahaha isnt that the point of a psychic! yeah i can tell you a cow is going to come into your life too....wait!! did you have beef this week?!
Tara!!!!!
No I dont eat much beef.....ha ha
Yeah how annoying, you would think she wouldnt of bothered mentioning a girl to me if it wasnt directly related to me!!!! she is apparently quite well known in Australia and has alot of believers.......you can google her - Lorraine Manley
Awww girls, DH & I just had this conversation last night & it went like this
me: Are you sure you don't want anymore children?
him: I thought you were happy and looking forward to getting started in your career in a few years? Why would you want another child to set it back another few years?
me: yeah.... but I just don't know, I'm not ready yet to say I'm finished entirely
him: Why this sudden change? Its going to take me a long time to get my head around having another baby. This has come out of nowhere Christy....
me: nah... its called being clucky. Its just I want a baby again... now that JJ has hit the cranky 2 stage, I want to breastfeed again, I want to wear my baby in a sling again....
him: (gives me a cuddle) well... I don't.
I knew that, and I was happy with his decision and okay with it. But now he's pulling out of our agreement to look into fostering children as well. We were going to do that when the girls were above grade 6 in school. Now we have heard some horrible stories from foster parents & he's scared. So I feel like I want a baby.... it really makes no sense whatsoever....
In all fairness to DH we didnt actually sit down and fully discuss planning for another baby....I went off contraception (which is a big indicator)as it was not suiting me, which DH agreed with and we were supposed to be using other methods of "Natural Family Planning"
When I got theand told DH his exact words were "great thats all we need" but a termination wasnt an option for either of us and we have discussed this is our last and he knew that I wanted another baby.
Men dont have a maternal instinct..they may like/want children but they dont have that internal desire that is hard for us to describe.
So Luckily DH was ok with me going off contraception and the rest was fate.....
We were going to use the shettles method when actually "trying" to conceive
Aw Christy - maybe he just needs a bit of time to think about it, like he said 'get his head around it'. i know they dont have the maternal instinct but its definately a male thing to need time! lol
we were kinda the opposite. my SIL made a comment to me about how moody i had been and asked if i was pg (tongue in cheek) and i said 'yeah right, doubt it' anyways she went home and i did a test. when it was positive i sat there and bawled my eyes out. rang dh in tears, he thought something terrible had happened but i couldnt tell him what. i said well...i'm, pregnant arent i!!! his reaction was 'excellent!!! thats fantastic' i said 'no its not!!!! we're not in our own house we have no money!!! what the f**k are we going to do with another baby!!!' he said 'i promise you, by the time the baby is born i will have it sorted out for you. thats my job. you dont worry about anything' and he did. i must say he really came through.
altho he has since then said 'did we ever really discuss having kids...' LMAO
oh Taralee, thanks for the crackup!
YOU ARE THE BEST!
I'm not tech savy enuff to know how to put TWO quotes in one post - sorry.
Sounds like i'm not the only one of us feeling clucky!
Vicky, on your FB photos, is that little one the one you babysit once a week (or did a while ago), so cute!
Update on me and my housing - i am giving it a rest, am trying to accept that i am stuck where i am for the forseeable future. As long as dh keeps sleeping on the couch, i suppose i can bear it - for bilby. There are people sleeping rough, at least i have a roof over my head, i should be grateful for that.
Oh Gigi - you seem so defeated and i'm sorry for that...i dont know if it helps but i do like to think that a) things happen for a reason and b) we're never given anything to deal with that we cant handle. like you said, just accept your position at the moment and ride it out. just see where it takes you. its true you have a roof over your head and a beautiful, happy and healthy little girl, just focus on her.
Thinking of you xx
*cough cough*
*testing....testing...1..2...3...*
hmm....
mmmmm what sort of testing are you refering too tara![]()
oh no!!! dont get excited! was merely seeing if anyone could hear me! lmao i didnt even think of it like that!!!
why are you ****ed off Jols?
and BTW he's 7 months old!!! if i were pg again already i'd have to find a hobby lmao
Chichi's started climbing up on the couch!!!!!!!! already!!!!
