Good morning everyone!! I hope everyone had a good night! Caitlyn and I had a very wakeful night but I think I am actually getting used to getting 4 hours a night and then still functioning through the day.
Carriers- Well to date I am yet to find a carrier that I find comfortable for both C & I. I have a baby Bjorn - hate it! It is soooo uncomfortable on both my shoulders and my lower back. HAB - again so uncomfortable. I dont know if its because I am short and dont have the torso length for these carriers. I am giving the HAB to my friend Taz who is due in July - just have to find the instructional CD that came with it! Bl00dy expensive thing for a huge long piece of fabric. anyway - i have basically given up on the carrier thing - am gonna buy a stroller. I had a heap of washing to do on the weekend so I put Caitlyn in her pram outside with me while i hung it all out and she loved it! Oh - when can you start using baby sunscreen? I used some on the weekend and didnt even think about it!
Anyway - had best go and get ready for work - have been ebaying

    Hi everyone,
Well the baptism went fairly well, though my Mum and Dad nearly missed it (running late).

Had a quiet day yesterday as I was sick with tummy bug but am feeling much better now. Hubby had the day off so he looked after Ethan. E slept without a wrap last night and only woke up once so that was good. He is having trouble sleeping today without it though. I am sticking to my guns and not wrapping.

Great news! Ethan has finally leant how to roll from his back to tum now. I suppose nothing is safe now. I am really proud of him. Can you believe how quickly the bubs are growing. Ethan is in 00s now which makes me a bit sad. What happened to my little baby?

Strollers - can't remember who was asking but I got a new stroller last week. We got the steelcraft profile stroller and we think it is great. Only problem is that with the big nappy bag on the back the stroller falls over if E is not in it. Apart from that I am finding it fantastic. Fits well in the boot and easy to put up and down with one hand. Am going to try using the bus soon. The Mclaren ones look good too but they are more expensive. Good luck with the hunt.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Afternoon everyone!

Kieran had his 4 month injections today, yuck. At least they're done now and he is acting like nothing even happened which is great! I went and got them done at the council this time after the dr stuffed me around last time. She even forgot to write in his blue book that he had the rotavirus one!

Poor Joel is still sick with his cough, it sounds really chesty and horrible. I kept him home from kinder today because I don't want him to spread it around and also because he is tired from coughing all night. He wasn't disappointed about not going!

It is DH's birthday today and Joel told him last night what his present is, d'oh! We will give him his pressie tonight when both boys can be there.'

Alz - Glad the baptism went well. What a bummer you caught a tummy bug, I hope you are on the mend.

Rebecca - Once you buy a stroller you will never go back! They make life so much easier.

Leah - Thanks so much for letting me know about that site, what a great saving! I have convinced DH to let me get one, but I want to go into a baby store first to try one on just to make sure I am happy with it. Wow, that's great you play football, it must keep you fit!

Kellie - Are you around? We haven't heard from you for a while! I hope you and Tahlia are well.

Mo - How is Maddi going with her solids?

Kim - I hope you are feeling better! How is Craig's foot?

Hi to everyone, I'm gonna go make the most of having both boys asleep at once!

Hey - is anyone else going to be making their own baby food??? I really want to and I am sure it will be easy enough. My only problem is I dont have a blender or food processor. Does anyone have an idea as to which would be a better option??

Rebecca - Do you have one of those stick blender thing-o's? I just pureed everything (for Joel) with one of those. I made stewed apples and pears and mashed every kind of vegetable with it. When bub gets older you can just mash stuff with a fork so they get a bit of texture. I used to freeze everything in ice cube trays, then transfer them into snap lock bags and pull them out as I needed them. Much cheaper than buying jarred stuff!

Thats it!! Im over it!! I HATE DUMMIES!!!!!

We had the worst night in the history of Chelsea Monique last night! Ok, I am seriously not exaggerating here. Put her down at 8. Then at 9.30 she wakes up and I re settle her. then, she wakes up every 15-20 minutes, until 3.30!!! SERIOUSLY! Then she slept for an hour, woke up at 4.30, back to sleep, then wide awake at 6!!! I seriously got 2 hours sleep!! She wasnt in pain or anything (although I did give her a bit of Panadol), just kept unwrapping hersaelf and knocking the dummy out!!!
So today, thats it!! I am no longer giving her a dummy, or wrapping her! It was ridiculous last night, so things surely couldnt get any worse! So far, she has had 1 sleep this morning - unwrapped, and she slept (eventually - with me patting her) for about 40 minutes. Its a start I guess! About to put her down again so wish me luk!

Im also in the process now of taking dummy away from Liam too! He keeps biting them and they have to be thrown out almost every day (we have a heap). I think he is down to his last 2, so I havent given him any all day. Keep reminding them that they are broken! We'll seee.......

Trish - Dont ya love kids, they get too excited to keep secrets hey! I remember doing that myself a few times when I was young. Hope DH has a great birthday, and Joel feels better soon!

alz - Clever DS!! Glad the Baptism went well!!

Glad it sounds like most of you had a reasonable night! Wish me luck this arvo!!

Trish she had the rice cereal & apple and loved it, then she was chucky the whole day. So i didn't give her any the next day & she was fine.
So I'm holding off for awhile longer.
Think we may skip the rice cereal & goto the veggies when she is close to or 6 months.
    Thanks for asking

We did buy a solid starter kit from safeway, comes with 2 trays to freeze her baby food & they are the right portion size, Also comes with a little book on what food to start her on first & when to increase her meals etc...

    Rebecca-I'm interested to know as-well.

Got my MCN's in the mail today, can't wait till Friday when i can order some more lol.

Trish - you probably won't find and Ergo at a baby shop as far as I know. Best is to try and find someone near you that has one. Through this forum or any others you go on, do you use cloth nappies, if so maybe try Nappycino?? I am pretty sure if it is not right for you Sue will refund you anyway as long as it is in the new conditon.

I have always made my baby food when Eliza was a bubba. I used to puree stuff but that does not last for long. Then I would steam a huge batch of diced veges and freeze them in portions. When you thaw them the water makes it go mushy for you and I would add ricotta or tomato or cheese, maybe some soup pasta or cous cous, Eliza loved it. She eats eveything now, even stuff like broccoli and eggplant.

    Must run E needs me,
