hey ^^ i was up feeding at 2 and 5.20 as well. *spooky*

he still needed resettling at 12, 1 and 4. but at least i was sleeping in his room so it was easier. i fed him in bed with me and he stayed there till 4.

why don't i like sydney? been there done that. over it now. have always had a deep yearning for melbourne (without the taxi strike), and for one reason or another, couldn't get there. (i blame law school for a large chunk of that).

dh came home last night and said he was 'serious' about moving there. i can't believe it's happening. we're aiming for 6 months (coincides with jj's birthday).

Viv if I could choose anywhere else to live in Aus it would be Melbourne. Love it there! Yay for you!!

Max is getting better as the days go on, with eating, sleeping and everything. So glad.

Must look on the upside...a friend of a friend's baby died at 38weeks.....so sad. I don't know the girl but am totally devastated for her. I didn't want to put Max down after I was told that. Despite all the carpola we have to deal with, we are lucky to have them. *sniff*

A little girl from Mothers group is allergic to banana! Yesterday was just holding it and hands went red, then ate some and swelled (face and neck) and was all blotchy....I guess solids should be introduced with caution....I was going all gung ho with Maxxy, but now want to ease up a bit.

M still sooky & clingy, i think she might be coming down with a cold she has a runny nose etc...

Morning!

Just had K's 6 month check and he is exactly 8kg, how bizarre! He is 69cm long and is in the 75th percentile for weight, height and head circ. I'm glad he is doing well! Joel had his 3 1/2 year check up at the same time and the nurse detected a minor heart murmur . She got another nurse in to check with her own stethescope and she heard it too. She said it's normal for it not to be noticed until this age because the heart beats slower than it did when he was a bub. I have to take him to a GP to get him checked out, but the nurse didn't sound too concerned because he is a great height and weight and is generally fit, active and happy. I'm not really worried, just surprised.

K is loving food, he is gutsing down pumpkin, sweet potato and apple. Last night I gave him a cup of water on the chiro's suggestion (because K was getting backed up) and he loved that too. This boy is a little piggy I tell you! I am still waiting a few days to introduce new things just in case he has a reaction, but I don't think we'll have many probs.

Mo - I hope Maddi's not coming down with a cold . There are lots of colds going around atm. I hate this cold weather!

Viv - Yay for moving to Melbourne! Hopefully we can all arrange to meet up! Now you just have to decide where to live...

Julia - Glad Max is getting better! How sad about that bub, it really does make you appreciate your own child more.

Willow - Glad the other night was better, how'd you go last night? I hope those teeth pop through soon!

Saffi - Don't be discouraged because L didn't like avocado, a lot of babies don't like the taste. Maybe go for potato, or sweet potato?

Anyway, gotta run, K is being a crank on the floor....

Hi everyone,
I also just got home from Tahlias 6 month check.. she is 8.340kgs and 67.5cms, so in the 70th percentile for height and the 85th for weight! So she is going pretty well. She told me to turn her carseat around, but I dont think I will just yet, cause from what I've read, its safer the other way.

All of her teething symptoms seem to have disappeared completely without any teeth coming through! Strange, the nurse said they might have just been moving around.

I like my happy baby being back, especially one that sleeps well and through the night! I'm not looking forward to the next round of teething symptoms!

Viv - are you crazy??? its freezing in melbourne! I love QLDs warm weather!

Oh Trish - So sorry to hear about Joel's heart murmur. What is that exactly? You must have been really upset when you eard that, even if it is nothing. Hope everything turns out ok. X

Hiya!

Up again every 2 hours overnight but held out until 5.30 to give him a feed. Feeling ok today as I managed to get back to sleep fairly quickly once I got back to bed. DH says that he will do some reading once he starts leave to see what can be done to get L to sleep thru. DH loves his sleep more than I do so I reckon he'll be motivated to get a solution.

Made up some sweet potato puree. Yet to try it out on L but will do when he wakes up. A little bit goes a long way, even managed to get some for the freezer.

Trish - sorry to hear about J's heart murmur.
Julia - how awful about that girl losing her bub. The sister of a girl I know lost her twins at 32 weeks. I know I breathed a sigh of relief once I got past the 12 week mark and again at 20 weeks but I guess you never can be assured until your bub is in your arms.
Willow - at least your bubs are in somewhere! I reckon if my current career goes belly up I'll become a family day care provider.
