    Hi all

Big day today. L had his first day at daycare. He didn't sleep much but seems to be okay. When DH arrived to pick him up L was crying and no staff were attending too him. Just hope that is a one off! I rang during the day to check up and the Director asked how I was doing. How sweet. Next day is Friday.

    L is 7 months today.

Rebecca - hi I was wondering how you were getting on. Re the sippy cup, we got a Nuby cup from Target. They are antispill as well but are also valveless. L seems to really like drinking from it.

Alz - Maybe there is something in the texture of the homemade food that is different?? We introduced L to canned pears first and when he liked it I then made it from fresh fruit. Technically the cans are made from the same stuff as you would do at home. So maybe you can mix the canned stuff with the homemade and then reduce the amount of canned and increase the fresh until he's eating all homemade.

Strange that the BB Centre is not pram friendly. I thought that would be high on the priority list

L is going ahead in leaps, literally. He is trying so hard to crawl, but he ends up doing a sort of hop like a rabbit. So cute. Tonight he ate a serve of pumpkin and then a serve of pears. DH says he gobbled down the pumpkin. So far he eats pear, pumpkin and sweet potato. Might look at apple or maybe carrott next.

Work going well. Was in a day long course on stats. Found it hard to focus on it after a night of interupted sleep. Hopefully tomorrow will be quieter.

Hope Mums and Bubs are all healthy and happy.

Amber happy birthday to your Mum.

Happy 8 months to the Guni.

Q1. For the Mums of the Bubs with teeth are you brushing them everyday?

I'm always forgetting to buy M her tooth brush, seems weird that i have to buy my little girl a tooth brush.

Q2. What's your bubs favorite thing to do?

M loves bath time she likes to spend a good half hour in there, if you pull her out to early she'll just scream to she goes back in.

    Morning!

A little woohoo from me...K is finally trying to move !!! I put him on his tummy and instead of pushing himself up with his arms, he kept his head on the floor and pulled his knees and bum up and tried to push himself forward! He ended up moving 180 degrees, he didn't actually go forward, but it is a step in the right direction! I sat with him and cheered him on and he thought it was great fun, so cute!! I really hope he keeps it up, I'm sure once he can get where he wants he will be much happier.

Mo - A belated happy 8 months to Maddi, sorry I missed it! I used to use a wet wash cloth over my finger to wipe Joel's teeth. I didn't use a toothbrush until a bit later, is that naughty of me?! K definitely loves bathtime the most too. He always tries for a bath bomb while he's there, doesn't always work, but he gives it a good go LOL!

Amber - Happy birthday to your mum! Wow, your birthdays are only a day apart, same as Joel and Kieran! I still don't know how we will celebrate K's first birthday yet because Joel will need to be included too. Myles is so clever cruising around! Hope you have a nice time with your mum today.

Saffi - Happy 7 months to Lachlan for yesterday! I typed that out last night, but then the site fell down so it didn't post. I hope L goes well in CC. Such a clever boy trying to crawl

Ange - You always crack me up . Happy 8 months to Lu!!!

    Have a great day everyone!

OMG, I swear I've had two heart attacks this morning. DS is sooo blocked up with mucus that he's choking on it

I had him sitting on the floor next to me and he started choking, went freakishly quiet and then vomited everywhere - needless to say I panicked big time, but I picked him up, turned him over and firmly patted his back and he was OK then. On closer inspection he had one of his sisters stickers in his mouth!! It must have been on the floor and he picked it up. It was only a small one, but I think this and the fact he can't breath through his nose made his gag reflex kick in.

Then, I was opening a package (Trish- my ergo arrived today! Thank you. Going to the park later just so I can try it!) and before I knew it, he had paper in his mouth and was gagging again!!

I put him down for a nap at 9.30 but I'm so paranoid that I'm sitting here so I can hear him (yes, the monitor is on ).

I don't really know there's anything I can do for him. I might try some fess when he wakes up...

He's in there now coughing and spluttering...I'm so tempted to go and get him up just so I can keep an eye on him but the poor little fella's not well and needs his sleep. I might take him to the GP this afternoon, even though I know it's just a cold and there's nothing they can do.

I'm going to go check on him...again...

How scary Willow! I'm glad the Ergo arrived safely, sorry L choked on the paper!! I used Drixine (or something like that, can't remember the exact name) in K's nose which kind of helped.

How scary Willow, I used fess when M had her horrible cold didn't help her much.
Ended up putting baby balsam & using the vaporizer with Vick's just so she could breathe.
    Enjoy you Ergo Willow.

    Thanks Trish
WTG on K moving. that's a great start

We need to baby proof our house, M likes crawling in the dining area & pulling herself up on the chairs, then she'll crawl into the bathroom & try pull herself up on the bath(I think that's a bath time hint), I'm thinking those baby gates are the way to go, anyone have any recommendations?
