Nikki - sounds promising with happy harry! Heres hoping you have a good night tonight. Did you make it to uni today?
Tracey- hows the health kick going? I am yet to start, i have no motivation, i am going to start by cutting down on my carbs, i have been eating heaps of bread lately and i am sure that will make a difference. I am yet to get out there and go walking apart fomr to the shops saturday and we went to the park today but i didnt do much walking at the park, my sister took tori and my neice for a walk while i ended up having to feed charlotte.... Its to dark to go in the mornings at the moment, charlotte is still wakingfor a feed about 6ish so i could go then but its just so dark and gloomy.
Rachel - how are you going with your diet?? HOws milo?
Kristie - are you going to make it to the play centre tomorrow? I am meeting nicki at 11. i hope you can come!
i had another tupperware meeting tonight and it was a waste of time, it was about becoming a manager and i havent even started having parties yet so i dont see what it had to do with me??? Next week is about how to plan the party properly so that should be useful.
Tori has started only having one sleep lately but it is for about 3.5hours which means we dont get much done coz thats a huge chunk of my day, hence not going to playgroup today! Does anyone elses kids do that? Also she is getting her 2yo molars at the moment, i noticed the other night when i was brushing her teeth that they are most of the way through already! No wonder she has her fingers in her mouth all the time.
Charlotte has started thumb sucking this week too! I hope she doesnt make a habbit of it, thumbs can make a real mess of kids teeth placement. (theres the dental assistant in me!)
Well, i am off, the girls are sleeping so it is veg out time! More like coffee and smoke time actually....
Had a great but busy day! Louis had swimming this morning - he did so well and can now swim on his own with the ring around his tummy!
Then I was going to go to the gym but it was such a beautiful day Mum and I took the kids to the park! Went for a walk around Lilydale Lake and then Louis had a big play. Was soo nice. Anyway, finally got him home for a sleep and then had to take Dylan to get his 4 month immunisations - poor little muchkin. He coped pretty well but had some big tears.
Tracey - Happy Anniversary!!! Yeah..we had a fairly early night - the kids woke up a million times though...
Nikki - Glad to hear Harry's getting a little better...hope he keeps improving!
Cindy - Probably won't go tomorrow...Everythings just full on at the moment so we really need another day at home. Have fun though! grrr bugger the meeting wasn't great - hard when you go to all the effort of going out!
Wow Cindy - Louis has had 1 day sleep since 11 months! LOL!! He usually has about 2 hours...I find it good though because I can go out in the morning and go out in the afternoon if I need to.
Kristie- I didnt even realise there was a 4 month shot till you said so! I have made the doctors appt though so all set.
I hate tori having sucha lond sleep coz we get nothing done. she has just gone down again now though so i'm not sure we will even make it out today, she had ashocking noght last night with her teeth and her runny nose that comes with it!
Charlotte has started this week being up for 2 hours and sleepign for only 45 mins which is no fun either, no time for me to nap. She did sleep through last night though which was great except for the exploding boobs in the morning!
Gotta go, i hear a baby chatterig away.
BBL
Nikki- how is harry? I realised last night that it was only monday yesterday, i was sure it was tuesday and i had to ge tready for work!
Poor Dylan is not happy...I've just given him some more panadol..had to give him some at midnight as well...Poor little monster...I think it's rubbed off on Louis as well as he had a cry for like 20min this morning because I wouldn't turn the t.v on over brekky...I have it off during brekky cos he doesn't concentrate on eating and just plays with it while the t.vs on...
Cindy - Good luck with the immunisations!! Isn't it funny how kids react so differently. Louis only reacted to his 6m ones...
Poor Tori with her teeth...I'm still waiting on some more for Louis...he still only has 12 teeth...
Wow - Thats great you've still been napping - I can't remember the last time I had a nap!! Dylans usually up for 2 hours as well and only has 45min naps..although usually at some point he has a 1 1/2 hour sleep.
Woohoo a day at home!! We're getting our ducted heating cleaned this afternoon...not sure whether to bother doing the houswork before they get here or just wait until after...I don't know if they'll make a mess or not...
Cindy Jordan has only been having 1 sleep for ages now. Normally between 12-2 and he sleeps for 3-4 hrs. It does make the afternoons impossible to go anywhere but I use the time to clean the house or chat on the net (like now) I hope you enjoy the next tuppaware meeting, the last one does sound silly when you havent even started???? Dont stress too much about the health kick and exercise. Its way to cold in the mornings to take the kids out. I have cut down my coke though, only 2 a day and that seems to have already made a difference to my gut but not on the scales
Krisite well done Louis on swimming on his own, Jordan has also started tredding water which is great. I would wait till the people leave to do the housework. I hope Louis is feeling better today, more munchkin. LOL at Louis wanting the tele on, Jordan is addicted (bad mummy me!)
Nikki Hope Harry is better. Have you got Chantelles new bed yet? Did COrey get that job he auditioned for?
Well at playgroup we made fathers day gifts. Jordan chucked huge tanti when I wouldnt take him outside to play on the play equipment. I ended up caving in and going outside with him. He just loves to run around outside, I think he is definatly going to be an outdoors person.
Well I am so unmotivated to clean up the house today. I might leave it till thursday.
Its such a nice day I might take Jordan to feed the ducks when he wakes up.
Take care XX
Urggghh I think I'm getting a UTI - haven't had one in years!! I hope it doesn't develop - I'm drinking heaps of water at the moment...
Hehe - my housework never got done...I think I'm having another day at home tomorrow so will hopefully get it done then. How cute making fathers day gifts! Louis is like that...it's hard to keep them contained when they see something they want - They don't know why they can't play then when they can every other time!!
Hope you managed to get out and feed the ducks!
Think I'll jump into bed soon...I just bought the book Kelly's recommended - the sciene of parenting - its really interesting so far so I may just forget everything and have a read!
harry is getting a tiny bit better,he still vomited a couple of times today and cried alot but he also had some short moments when he seemed happy and we even got a smile out of him twice.i had school so grant had to take a day off,he actually enjoyed it and told me it was easy, but he didnt have chantelle as she still went to creche,
chantelles bed came today and she was so excited when she went to bed tonight, she has been so good without the cot,she just gets in and goes striaght to sleep but during the night she has been walking in to our room.it is really cute bed it is sooo little,i bought some new stickers for her walls,so off with the old and in with the new.i dont think corey got the part as they start the filming tomorrow and we havnt heard anything.he is cool with that though,he didnt seem to upset by it.i have some work to do now with an assignment so must be off.
nikki
We went to the play centre today and Tori and Charlee had an absolute ball!! They were so funny together!.
Kristie - we have to go back thre some time, it was really good today there was only about 4 other people with kids there so the girls just went crazy all over the place.
I am so buggered today, i so cant be bothered going to work tomorrow but we gotta do these things now and then dont we???
OK, BBL hopefully, my little princess is calling!
Nikki - so glad to hear happy harry is getting happier! Good luck with the homework.....
Wow you guys have been busy!
Nikki I'm glad Harry seems like he is on the mend. The last time Milo was sick with vomiting etc it seemed to go on for ever.
Cindy, I hope the next tupperware meeting is a bit more interesting for you. I am still waiting to sign up, will have to see whats happening with work and whether I decide to go to uni to do a masters now, before I decide to sign up.
Krisite, no noe I hope its not a UTI - stay away from preservatives for a couple of days too, that usually helps for me.
Tracey - lol at Jordans tanty! Milo has been having a few lately too.
Well, my cousin got married on the weekend. He lives in Mt Gambier so we went across on Friday morning so we could get settled in etc. Milo was really good on the trip up. MIL came too for a holiday and to watch Milo, so that was really nice of her. a couple of cousins and I got our hair done on the morning of the wedding too. I think the last time I had an up-do for something was my wedding 4 and a bit years ago.
The ceremony was in a tiny, gorgeous old church in the middle of farmland, and the bride was just stunning. It was such a beautiful wedding! Milo behaved himself at the ceremony too (not without some encouragement in the form of bikkies though ).
The recepition was at a Chinese restaurant, and it was just awesome! I had been really strict on my diet cos I knew it was coming up and I would be just eating whatever was there (this meat bizzo is still very new to me though, it was really weird) but I think I did fairly well. No weigh in last week as we were in transit, so I'll be going along either friday or saturday this week.
There was a b$tch fight on our table, the girls managed to keep it faily quiet so that only their partners, me and my future SIL knew it was happening. My cousins parents know now but I am fairly sure he was oblivious and that no one would be stupid enough to have told him on the night.
The rest of the time was recovering and travelling home. Oh and a BBQ at the bride and groom place for lunch on Sunday, with present opening and lots of yummy food that I had to pass on. I'm making a list of things I want to have when I'm finished the diet, and potato bake shot to the lead!)
Milo slept pretty well over the weekend but as soon as we got home its back to waking at about 4am and being unsettled. I think this morning though, he'd done a dirty nappy and that was why. I ended up sleepingon his bedroom floor next to him. I hope he has a better night tonight.
wow I need a rest from typing now!
ETA: I knew I'd left something out!
Everything is up in the air at work at the moment, they are re-organising the company again, and from what we can tell they seem to be attempting to move all the melbourne work to Sydney or Adelaide. Which means they will probably not need very many people in Melbourne. ATM we are trying to see whether myself and another lady can report to a Sydney manager, as no one else has our skill sets, but knowing the company beaurocracy, they'll say no. So I'm kinda in limbo at the moment not knowing whether I'm going to get made redundant or not. It makes it really hard to look for jobs, cos I don't know whats happening with mine. Ideally I could get a payout (which will be about 40weeks pay) and find a new job within a month, that would be great, but will put a hold on our TTC plans The thing is my job is sort of generalised, and from looking around, there are only handful of thingd in my field that I'd even get an interview for. so I've been looking at doing a masters degree, just not sure whether I want to do a computer focused on, or something different (have looked at Geographic information systems (digital imaging/mapping) Risk Management, commercial law and integrated logistics! I can't decide!
I wish they would hurry up and tell me whats happening so I can go about organising my life!

Just a quick one from me. Just got back from a body shop meeting which was really good - but I'm buggered! Had a great day - took the kids to the park again and went for a walk as well. It's such nice weather! Also went to the dr for some antibiotics for my uti...grrrr! Not feeling too bad though...
Nikki - Glad harry's a little better. Yeah on Chantelles new bed!
Cindy - Glad you guys had fun at the play centre - will have to again for sure!! I've been heading over to knox sometimes for shopping so at least I can get that done at the same time! hehe. Hope work was ok!
Rachael - what a post!! I'm glad you had a good weekend! Sounds like a gorgeous wedding! Bugger about work - hope it all gets sorted soon!
K - must fall into bed...hopefully I can get more than 2 hours sleep in a row but I won't hold my breath!!
Krisite glad the body shop meeting went well. I hope you did manage to get some solid sleep in. You are so good at taking the boys to the park etc. I am pretty slack on my days off.
Rachel WOW you did have a busy weekend. Glad you got to let your hair down and eat some nice food. You certainly deserve it, you have been so good on your diet to date.
Cindy Glad the girls had a good time at the playcentre. I could imagine how much Tori would love it, she is such a busy little thing. How did your day at work go? I so dont want to go tomorrow or saturday
Nikki So glad Harry is doing better. LOL at Grant thinking being at home with the kids is easy. How long do you have left at school? Thats so good that Corey isnt fussed about missing out on the part.
Well we went to buzy bees play centre this morning with my friends playgroup. It was the worst playcentre we have been to. Its only new and they dont have a real lot for the kids to do. Jordan spent most of the time in the daytona ride seat, trying to drive LOL. They did have a animal farm which he loved. We went to feed the animals about 11.30, they have set times and then we went home.
I was considering changing to my friends playgroup but have changed my mind after today. The ladies were talking about all the politics of who is on morning tea duty, cleaning duty etc. My playgroup so isnt like that, we all just pitch in, there is no roster. I think I will stay where we are next year.
Done all the housework so now can watch tele for the afternoon.
BIL and his GF go back to perth for a couple months on sturday so tomorrow night we are having tea at the ILs. YEAH i dont have to cook.
Only 8 days till we head off to NZ, I cant wait. I so need another holiday.
Take care XX
Hey guys
Linda had a baby girl, Olivia on the 13th August from memory. She had the VBAC she wanted no drugs, GO LINDA!!!!
thought you might want to know.
hi all, just played a game of netball.OMG pass me another cigarette.i swear they need to have oxygen cylinders on the side lines,it has been so long since i have played but it was great fun.
studied for an exam today with a friend,it is so intense,my exam is next wednesday and then i am finished the course,i have to do a 2 week clinical placement on the 10th of sept and then i get my endorsment to give out medications via syringe.woohoo!doesnt look like we will be going to sydney this weekend,2 of our 3 babysitters have let us down at the last minute, grant and i are so disapointed, what a waste of money, not to mention we havnt had a night away from the kids in 10 years.happy harry is all better but poor chantelle has now got diarrhea.oh the joys,we are just never on a good thing over here in sunny melton.......
night
Nikki - good on you with the netball, i used to play for victoria up untill i was 19, but i think i would be like you and just die if i tried these days!
Poor channy! (she is going to take the poor title now!)
I went and had a look at fernwood gym today and i think i will join up! Its pretty exe though. Their child care looks pretty good but and the girls running it were really nice. i cant wait to get back into it, i love going to the gym and i amd lucky to be one of those people who generally get to see good results from it pretty fast too!
Sorry, got to go, charlotte is grumpy from having her shots today and al needs me to take over!
oh wow Cindy @ the netball you're a star!
I want to take it up again, I am worried about my pelvic floor, its better but still not right. I might give it a try though, since I've been on this diet (I think cos of al the water and no coffee) its getting better.
Sorry guys...will have to do personals tomorrow...
Just had a rotten night out....caught up with old school friends and we just have nothing in common. I've always made the effort though to catch up or do stuff with them and I just have to realise that it doesn't work both ways for them...I invited them to my body shop party at my house and none of them can make it (only 1 of them is away the others just can't be bothered) and none of them will have a party because "they don't like it, they don't want to have people at their house, too much to organise" etc even though I've gone to other parties they've hosted and even hosted a party from one they held so they could get free products! They also don't give a s*** about the kids etc and obviously they all talk because they know what each others up to but I have no idea so half the time I just feel like an outsider.
Sorry for the vent - I just walked in the door and needed to get it all out. I started to talk to Michael and he just walked off to have a shower so now he's in my bad books too - LOL!!!
Urrgghh - I suppose it's hard...I've always been a step ahead iykwim? I was working in the city and living out of home when they were out partying at uni and now I've got kids and they're only just buying houses and getting engaged etc so it's really hard to find common ground.
Anyway...I'm just not sure in this situation whether you bother trying to keep something going or do you just accept that you're different and move on...
On one good note - I've been having the most beautiful moments with the kids the last couple of days - Louis hopped into bed with me this morning and said "love you mummy" awwww....and when his Nanna asked who was beautiful today (something he's never been asked) he said "mummy"! hehe. She wanted him to say Louis - but then he just said Daddy and then Dylan after me. Hehe. The boys have also been having big cuddle too! I LOVE my boys!!
I felt really guilty to because going out for dinner tonight meant Dylan was screaming for Michael for a good 30-45min. He wakes up so scared if I'm not there at the moment. Michael tries to settle him and he just screams - Like he has never screamed like that for me...poor little munchkin.
Anyway...sorry for the vent! Now I must go and fall into bed....I promise to chat properly to you all tomorrow!
aw Kristie, sorry your night out was a bummer.
I didn't have that many close friends at school, and the ones I keep in touch with are either married, have kids or both, so we're all at the same stages of life I guess.
It must be hard though.
I can't believe it about the parties though, especially given you've had one for them before! I know someone in Ringwood who might have a party for you, I will ask her. She is the party plan queen! Plus then I can come along to play!
very cute with Louis saying 'love you'. I said to milo tonight do you love mummy, and he looked at me all giggly and whispered 'no' and started laughing!
Urrgghhh - I should never post when I'm cross as I just dribble on for ages...although I must say it was good to get it all out! LOL! Pity you guys were the ones to cop it though - hehehe.
Tracey - Yeah...the last couple of nights Dylans slept quite a bit better after his screaming with Michael - the poor little thing...Sorry to hear the play centre was a bit ordinary. The animal farm sounds great though!! Maybe it will improve as they get going with it... I would much prefer a playgroup where everyone just chips in as well. Yeah on getting your housework done...I got halfway through yesterday before I had visitors - hehe. Hope you had a nice dinner out!
I'm sooo jealous your off on another holiday!!! Can you please pack me in your suitcase??? LOL!
Thanks for letting us know about Linda!
Linda - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! How exciting - I'll have to go and find the thread...
Nikki - Yeah on playing Netball!! Thats great. I'm so glad the course will be finished soon - sounds soo hard! I'm sure you'll do well on the exam!!
What a pity about Sydney - I so hope you can get something organised so you can go!! Gosh Nikki - you can't win at the moment with these kiddies you poor thing! Hope Chantelle gets better soon as well!
Cindy - Good for you going to Fernwood! Geez - your being good and getting a membership and I'm thinking of getting rid of mine!! I just don't have time - there's too much I want to do with the kids and everytime I get in the routine of going they get sick and I miss a week or two. I'd rather take them to the park in this weather anyway...I'll probably get mega fat but oh well. I'll worry about it when I've finished having kids...
Poor Charlotte with her needles...Dylan was off for about 24h after his...
Rachael - Yeah...NONE of my friends have got kids although my best friend is just about to start TTC so I'm soooo excited!! and obviously my sil has just had her baby which is good.
Thanks for asking your friend!! It's hard sometimes because they say the first parties should be the easiest asking friends and family and my sister has refused to have one and now my old school friends have said no....
How cheeky of Milo!! So cute!
Anyway!! Off to get Louis' hair cut this morning - he so desperately needs it done - I can't believe how fast it grows!!
Michaels away again tonight and working tomorrow but luckily he's coming home tomorrow as well. We'll actually have a Sunday together as a family!!!
Gotta go - Louis is yelling at me cos he's finished brekky...forgot to say he's out of the high chair and sitting on a booster at the big table! I just bought a car seat booster thing so I can use it in the car later on - LOL! No point buying 2!!
