Sorry guys...will have to do personals tomorrow...
Just had a rotten night out....caught up with old school friends and we just have nothing in common. I've always made the effort though to catch up or do stuff with them and I just have to realise that it doesn't work both ways for them...I invited them to my body shop party at my house and none of them can make it (only 1 of them is away the others just can't be bothered) and none of them will have a party because "they don't like it, they don't want to have people at their house, too much to organise" etc even though I've gone to other parties they've hosted and even hosted a party from one they held so they could get free products! They also don't give a s*** about the kids etc and obviously they all talk because they know what each others up to but I have no idea so half the time I just feel like an outsider.
Sorry for the vent - I just walked in the door and needed to get it all out. I started to talk to Michael and he just walked off to have a shower so now he's in my bad books too - LOL!!!
Urrgghh - I suppose it's hard...I've always been a step ahead iykwim? I was working in the city and living out of home when they were out partying at uni and now I've got kids and they're only just buying houses and getting engaged etc so it's really hard to find common ground.
Anyway...I'm just not sure in this situation whether you bother trying to keep something going or do you just accept that you're different and move on...
On one good note - I've been having the most beautiful moments with the kids the last couple of days - Louis hopped into bed with me this morning and said "love you mummy" awwww....and when his Nanna asked who was beautiful today (something he's never been asked) he said "mummy"! hehe. She wanted him to say Louis - but then he just said Daddy and then Dylan after me. Hehe. The boys have also been having big cuddle too! I LOVE my boys!!
I felt really guilty to because going out for dinner tonight meant Dylan was screaming for Michael for a good 30-45min. He wakes up so scared if I'm not there at the moment. Michael tries to settle him and he just screams - Like he has never screamed like that for me...poor little munchkin.
Anyway...sorry for the vent! Now I must go and fall into bed....I promise to chat properly to you all tomorrow!
