Rach hope your TTC talk goes well. How strange no sign of AF yet and still BFN????

Alex have planning your qld holiday. When are you going away?

ok I need some advice ladies.
Liam has been a 4 hrly feeder during the day, he normally wakes an hour before he is due to eat, eats then plays for 1/2 hr to hour and then goes to bed. Recently when he is due for feed and grumpy when I try to feed him to screams and refuses the boobs.
He has done this the last 3 days now. I have settled him back to sleep without a feed but he is now 4.5 hrs since last feed.
DO you think he is starting to go loner between day feeds, poss 5 hrs now? He is a big boy so I am not concerned about him not getting enough however I though it was too early to extend out to 5 hrs?
You would think I should know being 2nd time around but I have forgotten.

Tracey, Milo started sleeping 4-5 hours stretches very early (Im talking day 3) at night and in the early morning. MCHN and LC told me not to wake him, to let him sleep.
He would cluster feed though from memory it would be something like 4am 7am, 11am, 2pm. 4pm, and then almost hourly til about 10/11 when he'd crash and sleep til

thanks girls. well he enentually took EBM at 3pm and then didnt eat again till 8pm. So lets see what he does overnight. This will mean he had 4 feeds for the day which is normal I guess but not spaced very evenly

I am getting so nervous and anxious about applying for uni. I cant wait to attend open day to see if the hours and days are at all do able with work aswell. I will be crushed if I cant do it. Oh well will have to wait and see.

Cant wait to watch opening ceremony

    Hi!

We've just been chilling out here which is nice...boys have enjoyed me being a bit more calm and relaxed as well...Michael is home for the weekend which is a first for a looonnngg time so that should be good -hopefully he'll get the garage organised for packing...He's had a bad week at work though and is so grumpy that I think I'll pretty much stay out of his way anyway...he's so short and snappy sometimes I just have to walk away because I don't feel like I can handle it and I don't want to have silly arguments over stupid things of no importance...Anyway...

Oh so funny today - dylan was watching Diego and when they ask the questions he says "no" to everything..so cute! He has no idea what it means I'm sure but he just fills in the gaps with "no"....then again thats his favourite word at the moment thats for sure! He's such a terror - so cheeky! But he always makes me laugh with his little antics...

Cindy - Boxes would be great! Thanks! My dad dropped over a whole heaps last night but I'm sure Michael will use all those up just on the garage...
Yeah...I spoke to my sister and she doesn't thing they do small amounts of time either - more 1/2 to full days...I'm just going to have to drop everything next term - which won't hurt anyway as we're expecting Ethan and then just reevaluate next year...the only thing that will be a problem is gymbaroo as you can't have the other kids with you...Louis will be in 3yo kinder though so if I'm lucky maybe a time will coincide...swimming I drag them all along too and if he does the sports group thing you just watch them anyway so not a big deal that I have the boys with me...Anyway...I'm sure it will all work out!

Rachael - Seems strange that your getting a bfn and no af - maybe it's just all the stress of the house stuff...
Good luck with it all - hope you get a good offer over the weekend! I wouldn't sign up someone subject to sale of their house...it's just too unpredicable...
Bugger you can't make it next week!

Tracey - Wow - I'm so excited for you applying to uni - I hope you get in!!! I'll be nervous when the time comes too but I'm hoping that being full fee paying I should get in! LOL! They usually like people that pay but you never know...Have fun at the open days!
Glad you got some chill out time yesterday...
In regards to feeds etc I'm probably no help either...my boys have always been constant feeders and cat nappers so I was probably still feeding 5 maybe even 6 x a day still at that age...I don't think my boys have ever gone 5h between feeds/solids except for overnight - LOL!

Alex - the only reason they don't overlap more often is because most days Louis doesn't sleep at all! LOL! Then today Dylan was asleep before lunch until nearly 2pm and then I had to drive my mum somewhere and Louis fell asleep in the car so from about 2.30ish and then I woke him at 4.30pm! So messed up...LOL!
Ooh I'm so jealous your going on holiday! I started working out what it would cost for us to go to qld for a week next year and I came up with like $2500 just for flights, car hire and acc...Crazy!! We don't usually holiday so it sounds like so much money! I was thinking maybe it would be cheaper to drive but with fuel the way it is I'm not so sure...Hmmm don't know what to do really...I really want to go to the gold coast with the kids...If we drove we could drive straight up and then come back down via the nsw coast or something...There's nowhere really else that I'd want to go right now but by the time we add on spending money/food etc we'll be up near $4000!! just for a week! Crazy!
How are you guys doing it?

Nikki - how are you? How's the house stuff coming along? Are the kids well?

Can't wait to catch up next week! Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

kristie good to hear from you.
tracey i agree with cindy i have demand fed all of my kids, when they are hungry they will ask for it.
racheal i hope you can convince neil to ttc sometime soon.
tracey do you think you will be able to manage work and uni and 2 kids,it is very hard studying, the exams and huge amount of asignments does put alot of strain on you,any chance that jamie can hold the fort finacially while you study?
alex.nick is a great guy.thanks for coming tonight, jack is so much like his dad,and tobey was just adorable,he is so much like harry in nature.i loved his cuddles tonight.you look bloody hot too!im glad the canalonni was a success, let me know if you get food poisoning wont you.i forgot to give you the house book.
kristie it cost us about 5k each time we have gone to qld.
melissa.how are you my sweet.have been thiking of you.
i spent $1500 on my car today,4 new tyres and panel work on the front where i crashed into a trolley bay,oh well,it is ready for selling now.

Tracey - just a quick one for you - one option i have been looking at for midwifery is studying through UNISA = they do it part time and externally - they even work out for you where you can do your placements in your state - you have to go to campus 3 time a year for lab work but thats pretty much it - it is hard to get in to though- i am going to contact them again next week to see what i will need to do for it - the peson i have been talkoing to far about 18 months there said she usualy can get you in to nirsing externally etc and she makes sure you just do the subjects needed for midwifery and tried to get you accross to it as soon as a place comes up or you can do the double degree but you can choose how may subjects you do at a time - i think the minumum is 2 subject a semester! I will keep you in the loop for that one too

Just got home from a tupperware party and am sooo worn out from talking! It was a crappy party but looks like i might have 2 girls wanting to start up!

ok so i went to VU open day and it was full on. They advised against doing the midwifery course if you had kids under 5 as it was a full on course, the lady was really nice but the hours are very demanding and its not offered part time. Nursing seemed ok however hours still intense although you could do the lectures online which would help with not being at school too much.
I did however speak to the TAFE dept about cert in nursing ( div 2 ) and think that this is the way to go for me. It is offered PT on mon-tues over 2 years and this way I can still work and be with family. So i am going to apply for that but still attend ACU open day next week and see about PT midwifery and nursing.

SO I am overwhemled with all this info and choices but feel as though TAFE may be the better option.

Hope you guys are enjoying the weekend.

Nikki its $877 for the course which is good even if i do it part time over the 2 years. If the books are the same i will gladly buy them off you. I will be doing it at sunbury if i get accpeted. I have to pass the pre test 1st, just brushing up on maths skills. I will pick your brains for assigments etc. I a, so excited i cant stop thinking about it.

as i said before the exam is pretty basic, mainly numerousy and english.they just want to work out who has basic skills so they are not wasting spaces for idiots.they also ask for an application letter explaining why you want to do nursing,i can help you with that too.the campus is beautiful and used to be a mental institution in the early 1900s,there has been sightings by several of the lecturers of girls dancing on the roofs in white nighties, there is a spooky yet magical presence in the campus, you will love it.lectures start at 9 till 4 but we never stayed that long, most teachers finish up at about 3ish.anatomy and physiology was my weekness,in fact it was the toughest subject for everyone,i managed to get through with mostly distinctions and high distinctions but did struggle in some areas.Calculations was hard but i am not good at maths.
i will be glad to give you any info

Nikki you are such a sweety I am sure I will need to call on you for assistance at some point. I have completed my paragraph on "why I want to do the course" I am just waiting on them to send me the application form etc and then I have to book in for that test. I am sure I will do fine ( positive thoughts).

I cant wait for out meet up this wednesday. I am going back to work in 3 weeks so want to make the most of being a full time SAHM for the last few weeks. I will still have wed, thurs and sundays off so wont be full time but I think I am looking forward to returning to get some ME time and some stimulation other than mickey mouse club house LOL

    Hi!

We had a great day today! Did lots of fun things like playdoh and painting and reading stories...was so nice just to be chilled out with my boys - they both had a sleep at the same time!! woohoo! and both slept through last night for the first time in ages (or maybe ever??)
I needed to have a day like this as I spent most of yesterday in tears...so silly really but everything just seemed to catch up with me...and of course sometimes Michaels can just be completely frustrating to me which doesn't help when I'm already tired etc...Had a big chat with my mum though and managed to put a lot of stuff into perspective which was good...also chatted with Michael as well so feel like I'm back on track as such...
I'm sure most of it is just hormones...(hopefully!)

Nikki - urgh at having to spend all that fixing your car...I have to book mine in for a service this week or next or I swear it's going to break...it's way overdue...I'm dreading to think how much it's going to cost though...
Hmm...holidays cost soo much! We may just do something a bit more low key but all I know is that we all definitely need one! LOL!

Cindy - Ooh I hope you get someone sign up - that would be great!

Tracey - Thats great your getting all organised! How exciting!

Can't wait to see you all on Wednesday - I've been telling Louis and rattling off everyone that he'll see and he just keeps going on about you Cindy! LOL! He's got a crush on you I think! Hehehehe.

Are we bringing some lunch around?? What time are you all getting there??? I'll be heading over after kinder I think...

have a dilemna.we originally put our block on the market for 163k hoping to get a miracle 150-160 tops, this morning grant and i spent a few hours with our draftsman finalising our house plans that we had intending staring in the next few weeks, well today we got an offer of 163k full asking price.now we dont know what to do,i mean that is one hell of an offer and means we would have made 40 k profit if we take it but leaves us still in a house that is not suitable for us.....
oh i dont know,i wish it would all take care of itself and i didnt have to make decisions that are too hard

    Hi!

Nikki - Gosh - it's so hard to make these decisions...have you looked to see if there are any other suitable blocks that you may pick up for a bargain since you'd be making such a good profit on yours? I'm sure you'll come up with a plan...

Looking forward to catching up tomorrow! I'll bring some nibblies...I'll be there around 12pm ish...
