    Happy Birthday Jodi!

Thought id pop my head in and say a hello!

Had Jesse's 18 month check up today. He is perfect in every aspect, reaching every milestone fine.. only thing is he may be developing a lisp. Ive noticed it before but had never said anything. But the CHN noticed it today too. Im not overly concerned. She said we'll do another check up when hes 2 and see where hes at and if need be she will book him into speach theorapy then. Being at the age of 2 they take them straight away, if you wait til theyre about 3 you go on a waiting list. So we'll see what happens.

Oh gee no i dont wanna be next lol. Its all going WAY too fast! Belle you still could be next though! Jesse was 2 days overdue.. who knows we could be going in on the same day!

Beatrix.. midwife asked today actually if i had taken Jesse to the dentist. She said anywhere from 18 months is best to start. I havent taken him yet but might just book him in for a check up... though in saying that.. good luck keeping him still! Hope everything goes ok for missy. She will be fine.

Helen.. oh thats wonderful news! How exciting!! So happy for you.

I think someones bed time so will try and check back in later.

happy birthday jodi,so glad emily made her apperance before your birthday

helen thats fantastic news about your scan.

my update, as i havent had much time....

went for my midwives appointment last thursday, she checked my cervix to find me 3cm already, she rangthe birth suite to see if i can be induced and when and was told to get up there now...well iwasnt expecting that, craig went home to try and orgainse all the kids and get my bags, meanwhile i had my waters broken around 1pm, in hope that would start labour, craig arrived back in a fluster as my contractions had already started, i text belle and maz, to let you guys now what was happening, i wient into full on labour around 5pm with liam born at 7.14pm, after much needed gas, he came out all of a sudden with one push, to everones surprise as no one was ther to catch him, except craig.....he landed on the bed, luckily, his heart rate had dropped in the last five minutes so there was a bit of painic all around with extra staff coming in, but all was ok.

he weighed 8lb4oz 3740kg 56cm long...he was anywhere from 2-3 weeks early as i had 2 differnet due dates, being a week apart.

specialist came and checked him out he had murmour to his heart and very fast breathing, he was admitted to NICU for the first 48 hours with a scan for his heart, he was on a drip, and tube feed, which he hated, so i had to keep going to feed him every 3hours, they thought he had some kind of infection, they did a blood clutcher on him as well, he was aloud to room in with me on sunday, mothers day, and was given the all clear on monday with all the tests coming back perfect, he is doing great loving his boobies.

Laurin, wow you are already thru 1st trimester! Did you get much m/s? Glad u/s was all good. When bubs comes will your Dh be back in Oz?

Jodi- Hi! Glad to hear all is going well.

Chrissy- That must've been worrying time, thank god everything came back clear. Does he have to have any follow up appts with regards to his heart?

Lol Helen, maybe you should be our sep 06 detective!

Kell, glad to hear everything is going well. Maybe Jesse is still just working out how to get the 's' out right, hard letter to say, Ash doesn't use properly yet either, when she says shoes sounds like shoeth.

Ash had her first babycino today and loved it, they made them so nice in little glass cup on a saucer with marshmellow (which I ate) and they were free with adult drink purchase.

    I can't keep up! I can't!

Great to hear from our newest (again) mummies! Glad you guys are going well.

Hope the speech issues sort themselves out, wouldn't know about that with Riv, since he doesn't talk at all. :P We do get a lot of rambly gibberish though, which is quite cute.

Great that the scan was good Laurin.

Well if we're playing pass the pregnancy, don't pass it to me, the middie recommended I don't fall pregnant for 2 years to let my body recover. Too soon to think about properly anyway, my birth partner friend just reckons if we consider another to get some blood tests done and make sure I'm super healthy before falling. But like I said, too soon.

Okay, well I think I feel sleepy now, I just popped on to get drowsy. Mum (couldn't keep her away :P) and Rans have just popped up to Emergency with Riv, he's been unwell with cold/teething/small spews but woke about 3ish with a barky cough and wheezing/kind of struggling for breath. I've heard how quickly breathing issues can progress from bad to worse, so I sent him in. He sounded like he was picking up just before they left here, but I'd so rather be safe than sorry.

Hopefully Si will stay chilled and sleepy, he's not due for a feed til 6ish at least, cos I've awakened my dormant stuffed knee (Rans took today off to be my 'legs' for the sick kids) and I'm supposed to be resting it.

Right. Definitely sleepy now! Night kids!

Nelle - you poor thing, bad knee, can't sleep and Riv not well, how did it all turn out in the end??? Good idea to get him to hospital if he was wheezing, etc.

Shell - yay on Ash having her first baby cino. I really don't know it will all work out with DH being away, when the baby is due is his busiest time as the project will be commissioned, my Mum will be over here, I am quite scared about having another one so hoping this will be a loooong pregnancy so I can get used to the idea.

Okay, better get organised for the day.

    Have a good one!

Oh that's right, I was going to say that about the Babycino! That's so cute Shell, but I can't believe they put marshmallows in them, a paramedic chick told me that they're the #1 cause of choking for kids!

Well River has croup, so, glad we got it checked out, apparently the dr didn't seem too concerned (they'd had a much worse case in earlier), and there's not much we can do apart from keep his atmosphere warm and humid. They said we'd be in for a few more tricky days though, while it runs its course.

Off to look at display homes today, heaven knows why, when we're poor as church mice :P but it'll be fun at any rate.
