Haley and pregpan, I think weet-bix are fine to give them. I think Leemar gives Olivia Weet-bix for breakfast.

Pregpan, hope your test comes out the way you want it. Congrats on your day sleeps too. If you just give him the toast he will gum it. He may gag a little at the start but that is ok, it stops them swallowing big bits they can choke on.

Gracie, well done on the new modeling career! Can't wait to see some pics.

Went to the new mothers group today, it was way better. The people are all friendly and about 3 other mums started today. One of them was a girl I went to high school with but she was a year below me and she was sporty and I was nerdy so we didn't really know each other.

Gracie - we started K on solids on Saturday too and haven't had a poo yet either. I'm not sure much of the solids has actually gone down her throat though. She's usually pretty regular, we haven't gone more than 2 and a bit days before. I'm not too worried about it though, she is still farting away!

Pregpan - good luck with finding out about work. That's great that you were happy with the FDC lady, is she close to where you are? That would be great if DH could have a day off with Noah each week too. Good luck with your test. And well done on the 3 day sleeps. How are the night times going?

Arte - glad that the new mothers group went well.

MD - How did you go with E in the next room?

Cally - the nights are not great, they havent been since about xmas time... after i had such a super sleeper to begin with! he has 2 feeds (sometimes 1) through the night. i have moved his bedtime back a little which makes no real diff to this but i figure he gets a little more sleep. His day sleeps are only 45 mins eac - if anyone has any ideas how to lengthen these let me know (although i am happy to live with it if it is just how he is) how is K going w the sleeping? The FDC lady is in my suburb which is great - about a 5 min walk away. I am meeting her at playgroup tomorrow (where she takes the kids each wed) to fill in forms etc. she is really lovely, grandmotherly and flexible which i love. so i hope that works out well. DH should know today if the 4 day thing is OK, i hope so i think it will be great fr Noah and for DH.
Arte - really glad the mums group went well. Thanks also for the toast info, i thought that was the case but i needed some reasurance. i will give him some at lunch time. he already chews if we give him something lumpy (well gums) so i think he is def ready!
MD - how did you go with E in the other room? Hope it all went well.

    hi everyone
so to be so selfish with my posting of late, i'm going to try and get back on tonight after i've finished the ironing. just thought i'd let you know that hannah is fine - 2 teeth are cutting through , so i think that was the cause of the high temp.
    catch you later

Well she pooed - and then she had a bath! OMG it was everywhere. I had a heap of wipes next to the change table ready to go, but I needed another couple of sets of hands to stop her hands and feet getting in it. And by the look of it, not much solids has gone through, looked just the same as before.

Pregpan - with the day sleeps you could try going in there just before the 45 min are up and start shhing so that you are ready to resettle him the moment he wakes. K went through a stage of only 45 min naps, but started extending them by herself. It's usually only the first nap of the day which is long here, the other 2 vary.
That's great about the FDC lady being so close, very handy.

    Hi Girls,

RE Weetbix- Yep its me. Olivia just loves it. I use to make it up with the formula but now I am just using regular milk and a bit of hot water.

Jazmum- Glad that H is better. Well Olivia still is toothless.

Nothing exciting happening today just at work with heaps to do and dont feel like doing it.
