Hhhm I can seem to be able to see my ticker
Thought I post here before heading to church.
Night waking is still happening around here, though I am hoping that it will settle soon now that he is finally crawling.
Yest we went to see a friend who has a premmie. Aaww he is so cute and tiny compared to W. Babies are really addictive, makes me want another one LOL He has lots of hair, which reminds me of Noah, Pregpan. Btw how is Noah today, hope he has conquered the nasty bug.

Sherie, hope the tooth comes out soon so Alister (and yourself) can sleep better.

Gracie, I really need to fix all the cables and cords, he is really interested in cords and wants to chew them all the time lol. Was it you whose DP is an electrician? I presume your house is pretty neat with all the wiring then. I think today will be quite wet too. Aaw, I envy you on the roaring fire. Nothing beats snuggling with our babies and drinking hot choc in front of the fire. I think thats one of the best things about living in the mountain.

Hayley, since W started rolling, everytime I put him to sleep on his back he rolled over to his tummy. I usually leave him like that, dont want to wake a sleeping baby up. LOL on the hanging legs, he does that too. I took a peek one time and apparently after I lie him down, he rolled over and crawled backwards. Then he yelled for us and kept looking at the door waiting for us to come.

Cally, we are thinking about buying a playpen. Prob need to have a look at safety gates too.

Jazmum, was it you who ask if I am drinking softdrink. I sometimes drink diet coke, but I didnt know it might trigger night waking, need to stop drinking it then.
Hugs, you are a great mum, I just know that! Dont worry, my mum worked all the time when we were little and usually arrived home tired. But I didn?t remember that now, I can only remember all the good things

MD & Sherie, when teething I usually give him braueur teething relief. I prefer that than panadol since its natural.

Arte & MD, the signing sounds promising

Arte, I am too hoping that when he is getting good at crawling, the night waking will stop. Sorry about the sleep appointment, cant believe leaving them to cry is the only suggestion they have.

Clare, yay on the crawling. I so hear you on EVERYWHERE lol

My god Clare! Are your serious???? There is no way known I would pay that much for uncrumbed lamb cutlets. Can you find a wholesaler who deals in bulk to get it cheaper?

Agnes, I got the brauers colic relief, and I can't see that it makes much of a difference to him, but the teething one they only had in a big bottle for nearly $20 so I wasn't keen to buy it JIC it didn't work LOL. How prem was your friends baby?

Aaah, E hasn't tasted lamb cutlets because when I saw them they were $30 a kilo (!!!) I remember when they were $7 a kilo AND I'm not old!

Sherie Yay for A sleeping a bit better. E bellows if her dinner is finished and she still wants more LOL!

Hayley, we have this thing that straps the baby a bit firmer to the trolley seat (I don't trust their straps plus you can use this one on regular chairs in cafes etc - handy when they are bigger) but she can still suck the handle/bar. DD1 sucked shopping trolleys too and no harm ever came of it LOL.

Cally, we have a playpen around the computer, and a portacot set up with a few toys in it in case i have to dump and run (ie broken glass emergency, someone comes to the door, getting hot food out of the oven, etc). I actually managed to have a (short) nap the other day lying on the lounge where she could see me, playing in the portacot. I got DH to move the furniture around this morning to fit it in a bit better LOL.

Arte, I think you might be right about E sleeping better when DH is here. She loves her Daddy and is very attached to him. Doesn't help me much when he's gone though!

Re Milk - on our chart of introducing foods in a delayed manner for the allergy thing they say to start small amounts of yoghurt, then cheese, then milk after 9 mths. As always, introduce a small quantity for three days or so and watch for any reaction. Most ppl are already giving their bubs milk anyway as it's in a lot of the processed baby food jars.

Agnes, I sometimes have the diet coke without caffeine. My friends all say with no sugar and no caffeine why would you bother LOL!

Clare, how exciting that Leila is crawling! LOL at your cats! Mine is quite calm about it all, DD1 was always very gentle with her. Boston Fluffychops on the other hand didn't know what hit him. However he finally appears to have realised E is human as he took his bunny toy to her to play with him the other day. It was hilarious.

Ok, better go, am supposed to be doing a bit of work on the puter before DH heads off again tonight.

Clare, that is a crazy price for lamb chops! I refuse to buy chops unless they are on special for $9.99 per kilo. Luckily we got half a cow off my mum and it works out to be $7 per kilo for all the fillet steak, roasts, stewing steak and mince that should last us all year. I will check out the Pinky site, but I think most of the sleep issues focus on settling the baby which isn't really our problem - he goes to bed easily, just wakes constantly.

Haley, I would love to have a date night but any potential baby sitters are two hours away and since he won't drink from a bottle or settle without boobie (and wakes every hour) I don't think I could leave him anyway. The longest I have been away from him is 1.5hours when I took the cat and dog to the vet. I would really like some time to myself but I have no idea how to do it

I think I will give plunket a ring tomorrow and ask what sort of techniques they are likely to suggest because I really don't want to drive 2 hours just to find that they want me to put him in the cot and leave him to cry.

The cutest thing ever happened the other night - we went out to dinner and in the hotel lobby there was another little boy that had just learned to walk and W was walking holding my finger and then he started chasing the other little boy (still holding my finger) lol it was soo funny, every time he caught the other boy he patted him and they both laughed and then the other boy would toddle off again

    Hi spunky mummas,

I am so supa dooper sorry I have been MIA, I am such a bad baby buddy *smacks hand*.

I have no chance on catching up since your all such chatterboxes, so I apologise if I have missed something important. I was reading every now and then but these threads move a mile a minute.

Anyway not much happening on our end. Still no teeth but we think they are coming now, have bought some Hylands teething relief which seems to be doing the trick. Have joined a playgroup and so far we are loving it, last week they shouted us coffee and cookies and we sat in the park chatting.

I hope everyone is well. Big thanks to Arte for checking up on me, your such a sweetie. I promise to try and be a better baby buddy from now on lol.
