Renee, toy-wise W is loving balls at the moment. Especially a rubber one that has little nobby bits on it. He also likes an activity table and the pop up things. Outside we play with pegs in an icecream container, he loves to mash them around in there or tip them on the ground. We also gave him an old computer keyboard which is his fav at the moment.

Hi everyone, just a quick one from MD today .

Had a coffee with our lovely thread buddy Cally yesterday and we had a good chat. She is exactly like I imagined! Little Katie is gorgeous, she has lovely bright blue eyes. I have a really nice piccy which I will put up when I get a moment.

E sleep really well again last night (2 get ups and a little cry before going back to sleep) - Hurrah!! Puhlease let this be the turning point.

Re toys - Elisabeth loves taking things out - shapes out of an icecream container, toys out of a bowll etc We have a little FP xylophone that also has buttons, which gets played with a lot. She's also taken a new interest in her stacking activity blocks. Loves her little rubber ducky set in the bath. Other good things at this age are a jack-in-the-box and a push car (you know press it down and it moves) or a round cylinder toy they can push and crawl along behind (we have an inflatable one with jingly bells in it) and soon (thinking ahead) they will love walking toys they can push in front of them. Don't forget a variety of books too!! She was fascinated by a stacking russian doll at the ostepaths so I might dig around for her stacking cups (they're out in the shed) and just start with three or four.

ETA Noni I like your hair, the layering is quite pretty. It was a lot longer than that before wasn't it?

Wow girls what a good the icecream container is. I just threw one into the recycling bin this morning so I've just dug it out before I forget. I'm going to use the peg idea, and other random blocks to pop in it. Such a cheap idea, & great for us as we really dont have an awful lot left over at the moment to spend on toys once the mortgage & living expenses have come out! Also been meaning to visit a toy library.

I still cant figure out how to get into the gallery these days Noni, I'm sure your hair looks lovely! Had a laugh at Asha sitting up and burping, could just imagine it!

I gave Maddie some lentil & pumpkin puree last night, which tastes so yummy, but oh my gosh she has been farting like crazy non stop today lol. I think the lentils might be a once a week thing.

MD - Wow thats so great that you had a meet up with Cally! I'm praying the good sleeping is a turning point for you.

Renee - Thats such a funny dream!! Thanks for the heads up about the toy sale.

Arte - The keyboard as a toy is a great idea, Maddie often tries to bang on this one.

Gracie - Let us know how the dyson is.

Jazmum - I love your formula tin toy idea.

just quickly girls- has anyone got the 'fisher price stack and roll cups'?
if so, how much did you pay for them?
i could only find one person selling them on ebay and they're $19.95 + $9.50 postage. i think that's a bit pricey and i might have to actually leave the house and go to a shop to get some LOL

Gracie I just PM'd you a ink for the fisher price stack and roll cups, $19.95 seems a bit expensive to me (if i have sent a link to the right thing).

    Noni your hair looks great.

Hayley the link to the gallery is in the top purple bar near new post etc.

MD glad coffee with Cally went so well. I wish we could all meet up. I have everything crossed for you that E has turned a corner with the sleeping.

Had better run and get dinner started.
