mm - hopefully that is all it is then. I think with the new clothes it depends on where it is made - i think some countries may use strong chemicals - sometimes you can smell it.
with the glass test - when you push down, if the rash disappears it's probably viral, if you can still see the rash when you apply the pressure, then it's probably worth getting it looked at.
-
Morning Girls,
MM- No he just went to Mackay and Emerald. The Vegas trip is in Sept for 11 nights. He came home last night and I just hugged him and hugged him.
Katie- WTG on the smart trike
MD- I just give Olivia squares of toast or sandwiches.
All good here for a change. Hello to everyone and have a great day
-
Happy birthday for yesterday Pregpan. I'm a bit slow! I'm due about the 12th of march and think Raino is having her scan today or tomorrow???
GL for your scan Rain. My m/s has kicked up a notch, feeling a bit average.
Leanne, glad your man is ok. Bet you were pleased to have him home.
MD- i give Lu a whole chunk of banana. She holds it and muches on it. She sometimes puts too much in, but not so often these days. Although with grapes i am sure she is trying to play chubba bubba, she just keeps stuffing them in, so i only give her a few at a time!
How is A today Trillian? It is so hard to do anything when they turn into little koalas for the day.
What do you think the nutritional vale of slaters is? hmmmmmmmm Lu seems to like them. they keep coming into the house in the wood and she tries to eat them.
ooo i can hear her stiring, going in for the pat to see if i can get 2 sleep cycles out of her! bbl
-
lol the nutritional value of slaters hahaha not sure!!
well i am enjoying my bubba free day!! i feel so relaxed i soaked in the tub and had a shower and washed my hair and i am about to make some lunch and watch the batchelor hehe what i day!!
might even do a little cleaning later if i can be bothered no gauranteas though haha..
hope your all having a lovely day :)
-
Hi everybody
I'm so excited!!!! I braved the Target Toy sale this morning and i got the pink Smart Trike!!!! I think my Guardian Angels helped me out alot today. How did you go Cally?
Leanne - glad your Dh is home safe and sound.
ange - i haven't tried Hannah with grapes yet, i think she'd just swallow them whole lol.
what are slaters? (i'm guessing they are some kind of bug?)
have just made some shepherds pie for Hannah's lunch. Need some other ideas - i haven't tried the salmon rissoles yet so might give those a go.
eta - fantastic noni :) are you feeling lonely at all? or just enjoying your 'me time'.
-
Hi Girls!
oohh Ange! the m/s is a bitter-sweet part of pregnancy isnt it!
Leanne: dont you just love those welcome home hugs!!
MD: with finger foods i give leila whole bananas whole toast etc. i cut up meat and am still grating cheese and raw fruits (eg apple). i also give her whole biccies (arrowroots and plasmon) and whole crackers. she also shoves the whole banana in her gob, but manages ok with it!
Scary about carpet piece! we have a woolen rug that threatens to choke her at times...especially as she sits there trying to pick at it.
bummer! i missed the dr phil episode on sects!! that would have been sooo interesting, especially as i have just become a fan of big love! LOL!
MM: Glad the swimming was fun! i hope that leila loves it too...not holding my breath though...
hope the rash mystery has been solved! she may just have sensitive skin to the chemicals...
Ozstar: that's so cool that he likes the smart trike! i am going out to buy one like that in the next couple of days for Leila, so am feeling extra inspired!
AFM: well i have a question for you lovely ladies: I just had to pick leila up from kindy as she has conjunctivitis!!! What the??!! i dropped her off and nothing, then 2 hours later and she is the goop-monster! what do i do???????? she has never had this before! is it like sticky-eye?? (she did have that when she was a newbie...and we used chamomile washes). what do you guys recommend? should she go to the drs to have it confirmed?
other than that all is pretty good. lovely shiny day here in melbourne which is rare!
BBL :)
-
JaZaH, slaters are woodlice. I got some kids ravioli that W seems to like. They are vege and cheese ones with no artificial colours etc, he has been having them for lunch the last couple of days.
Clare, not sure about the conjunctivitis, maybe ring the doc to see if there is anything special you need to use for it.
MD, we have had banana in every way possible lol We started with 1 inch chunks, but he started chucking them away so I moved to bite sized bits pre loaded on a spoon, now I just peel a bit and he takes a big bite off the top.
Noni, enjoy your baby free day. I am envious. I had planned to go out for a hot choc and read a crappy magazine by myself on Saturday, but the Carrot Festival is on so we will go to that instead.
Ange, sorry about the morning sickness. I am so clucky that it is clouding my memories of how sick I was lol. I think Slaters have a lot of protein? lol thankfully W hasn't eaten any bugs yet that I am aware of.
Leanne, glad your DH is back safely.
Ozstar, well done on the smart trike, it looks really cool (and L looks like such a big boy sitting on it)
Will seems happier today, yesterday he was following me everywhere whinging, it was a very long day. Last night he slept for 3 hours, then another 3 hours then decided it was time to play. I wasn't very impressed. Then he decided he needed nipple in his mouth for the rest of the night.
-
ooh JaZMum: we must have posted around the same time! WTG on the smart trike!! i soo wanted to go today, but the thought is kinda horrifying! our target is normally madness, so today must be just plain scary...but, you gotta do what ya gotta do...maybe i'll hold leila and her conjunctivitis out the front of me so that people steer clear and gives us a path!!!!LOL!!
Arte: thanks for the explanation! i was wondering....lol!
-
Clare- the chemist has stuff you can buy over the counter. However I have found it takes longer to work. I now always go to the dr and he always prescribes stuff that works really quickly. (sorry we have not had it for a long time so can not remember what its called). The boys got it from Daycare too and I freaked the first time too.
-
cassius - hahahahaha use the conjunctavitus to ward off the others!!!
i am not sure if we are going to the toy sale tonight i want to but i am scared haha..
jazmum - yep slaters are those grey little bugs that have heaps of legs and kinda roll up in a ball sometimes.. is it bad i dont really feel lonly?? i am feeling good and am happy she is coming back soon and i just feel refreshed like i can start again with her you know? i really needed it and am glad its going to be once a fortnight :)
-
ahhhhh i still have no space bar and now i have no enter key
makes it very hard to type
am i the only one here who can't get into people's galleries to see their pics?
lewis is driving me crazy atm re: sleep. i am one weekend of no sleep away from doing control crying i reckon. last night iput him to bed at 7pm he woke up at 7.30 and went hypo and refused to sleep again until 12.30 and only with a permanent nipple attached to him.i am going insane.
it seems the naughtier he gets, the more dp loves him. what is with that?
he thinks he's the funniest cutest baby ever!
-
quickie queen again today LOL
Alister has been fine today and not all that clingy at all. He did have a huge stack today with resulted in a fat lip and a blood nose but all's good now.
-
Noni- Enjoy your mumma time you lucky girl:dance:
Jazmum- I was looking at one of those trikes for Olivia. I am making shepard pie for dinner tonight.
Art- I am glad W is better
I am so exicted my girlfriend from school (yes I said school) is coming over for dinner tonight I have not seen her in more than 10years. Only talk via email as I found her through facebook a couple of months ago. She lives in Katherine. She has 2 sets of twins and a singleton. Going to try and get some tips from her.lol.
-
clare - hannah has had conjunctivitis. You can use saline from the chemist, and they do have over the counter drops you can buy. I ended up taking Hannah to the dr because it wasn't clearing, and she prescribed Chlorsig drops.
our target wasn't too bad today. They have learnt from previous years and have a few different stations set up for layby and rainchecks.
leanne - hope you have a nice catch-up with your friend tonight. Will her children be with her as well?
rainy - i feel for you  I received a new spotlight catalogue, but couldn't see L in there. Maybe the next one. Have you checked out the fedupwithfoodadditives website? Maybe something L is eating doesn't agree with him?
noni - not bad at all lol. I'm so glad that you're feeling refreshed - a happy mummy means a happy baby :)
-
Just a quick one as K is really whingy and the arrowroot biscuit only lasted long enough for me to read the posts.
Jazmum - well done on the trike, I went and scoped them out on Tuesday and they had 4 of the pink ones. I rang and checked yesterday and it is raincheckable so we will go in on Saturday and either get it or order it.
Ozstar - great pic of the new trike!
Pregpan - returning to work on Sept 23. Happy Birthday for yesterday!!
Noni - glad you enjoyed your baby free day, lucky you.
-
well girls you have inspired me to brave target!! i might check out the catalogues and get down what i want before heading in tho'!
Thanks for the conjunctivitis tips! DH is currently at the Drs with her...so i will wait and see..
Rain: oh you poor thing!! sleep issues are so draining! and  that things are better tonight.
oh and DHs dont mind so much cause at the end of the day, it's up to us to 'fix' everything.
Sherie: just another day for A huh?!! LOL! they just barrel along these days dont they?!
hi to everyone else!
-
Rainy I sooo hear you on the naughty baby thing! Miss E is getting so cheeky and her latest favorite thing is raking her nails across my face/pinching my nose/clawing my lips - all of which I can cope with - and pinching my nipples (@%#$!) which I cannot take at all! She doesn't understand the concept of OW! Well hahaha (*insert evil mummy laugh*) I have just bought a plastic baby penitentiary! It's called a musical playpen but it has gaol-like bars and a LOCK on the door panel! So when I need physical detachment she can go in there for some solitary confinement! Mumsy gets the last laugh today!
Rainy, (part 2) don't be hard on yourself if you resort to drastic measures on the sleep front. You need to fit your own oxygen mask before you assist other passengers!
Well I nearly went to Target for some school tops for H but I'm glad I didn't now (I forgot the sale was on). I haven't even looked at the catalogue. How unbargain-minded am I this week??!! LOL I'm just soooooo delighted with the PP (plastic penitentiary) that I feel like I never need to shop ever again.
Clare with Conjunctivitis you will prolly need to take her to the Dr every time. You can usually tell at home by looking at the pink bit under her bottom eyelid - if it's red and angry then it's "real" conjunctivitis. Anywhich way it's excludable so the CC can refuse to have her until it's been treated. My DD1 is prone to getting red irritated eyes in spring and we've had a few false Conjunctivitis alerts with her, now i give her a shot of dimetapp and check the next morning. However she's had it a few times and we've gone to the drs and it's turned out she has an ear infection or tonsillitis as well so I always err on the side of caution.
Blahblahblah I'm very talkative today aren't I??
Leanne wow your friend must be some kind of wonderwoman! Can you send her over to my place when you've juiced all her wisdom out of her, I need some too! LOL
Arte, as a serious pumpkin-festival devotee, I absolutely insist on a full run down of the carrot festival haha. Orange vegetables are the best!!
MM, ah i've done that and worn clothes before washing them and i was itching for days afterwards! It's only some clothes, I personally think it's either chemicals or maybe little eeny dustmiteycritterycreatures that are camping in the dust.
Noni, WTG on your bubba-free day! I had my first bubba=free hours in about 4 weeks today! It went soooo fast now I can't wait until Monday! haha No guilt from this mumma.
Ange, do you cut/peel your grapes first? I was always worried they're the right size for choking. I'm an expert grape peeler these days LOL (Just practising for my roman slave girl fantasies ).
Ok, better go, going to shut my eyes for 15 minutes before grumpy E gets up. Even if it's not long enough for sleep, my brain appreciates the darkness LOL.
-
ETA Cally thanks for the raincheckability info. If I get around to looking at the catalogue sometime soon I might even get inspired to raincheckme some things.
JaZaH thanks for reminding about about the glass test. That's a sign for meningoccal (when the rash doesn't disappear).
Clare don't forget to check lasoo dot com dot au , it lets you search across shopping catalogues in your area (my latest fave thing on the internet)
-
 is there a dude with a big leaf and a little leaf over his groin? i just cut them in half. No peeling. too lazy for that!
Trill- you sound so cool about a blood nose?! Is that what i'll be like after a couple of kids? i think a blood nose would have me worried, and i am pretty laid back on all accounts! Maybe not when it comes to my baby. lol
Bath time, gotta fly!
-
Gracie, I fully sympathise - we had a nipple in mouth night last night too. When he wakes up do you get him up? W used to stuff around heaps at bedtime until I made a stand. Now bedtime is bedtime. To start with he would play around for over an hour to see if I would let him get back up but I just lay in bed and ignore him, every few minutes I lay him next to me and see if he will feed. He usually goes to sleep within 20-30 minutes now. Not sure if that is any help, I guess what I am dribbling about is that it is better in the long run to tough it out and keep him in bed (although it is bluddy boring for you) than rewarding him by letting him get back up IYKWIM.
Good luck with the scan tomorrow, hope you see one healthy little bubba in there.
MD, W is a nipple pincher/puller/twister. It drives me mental but he will only go to sleep if he is feeding off one boob and fondling the other. I will let you know how the Carrot Festival goes, I am sadly excited about it lol
I think my decision between the smarttrike and the eurotrike was made for me because nowhere here stocks the smart trike. Can someone tell me what prices are like over there for them?
Better go, Babylon 5 to watch
-
hi everyone
thanks for the bday wishes... much appreciated. i had a 'memorable' day - nothing bad will fill you in on details when i have more time.
Rainy good luck for tomorrow
MD you sound in good spirits my dear - week 1 of DHs trip done now for you!!!
Hi to everyone else - sorry no time and sooo tired atm (in melbs again for work and N is still sick) - just thought i'd let you know ia m still alive - feeling OLD but alive!!
xxx
-
maybe you guys can tell me what i'm doing wrong- sorry for selfishness atm but i'm going crazy.ok, ill give you a break down of what's been happening and you guys can tell me what you think.
5pm- dinner time/ play with dad
6pm- warm relaxing bath
6.30pm- lie in bed with L, listen to lullaby cd,breastfeed until falling asleep
7pm- i sneak out and leave him in bed
sometime about 45mins to an hour later- he wakes up
i go backin there and try to resettle but he's crazy and starts standing up, yelling etc.
sometimes i stay in there for abit and try to resettle but he's just too hyper so usually i bring him back out here and right it off for a couple of hours. i can't go on like this!
pregpan- happy belated birthday. is noah with you in melb?
sherie- oh poor A.big big hugs.
arte- enjoy the carrot festival, around here we look forward to the chestnut festival
jaz- i checked out that website thank you.i can't find any culprits. mmm maybe lewis is in a later spotlight edition.i know for sure he's on the cover of the fathers day edition.
hello everyone else:)
i just have my ob appointment tomorrowand i think she'll send me for a scan next week.
i rang a doula but she was driving so she said she'd call me backbut she never did
-
hi rainy - the same thing was happening with Hannah as well. I find if she falls asleep while i'm feeding her, she wakes up not long after and is difficult to get back to sleep. I try hard to get her to have an afternoon sleep (about 3:30) so she won't fall asleep on the boob. I know that when she is waking she is looking for me - because i was with her when she fell asleep , if she wakes and i'm not there she gets upset. I know that is why she doesn't sleep well, but i'm choosing to rock her to sleep still. It just works for me at this time.
Anyway, I guess perhaps what i'm saying is the reason that L is probably waking is because you were there with him when he fell asleep and so gets upset when he stirs and you're not there. (have been doing a bit of reading lol) I'm not sure how to fix it, other than teaching him to self settle - and i'm definitely not a good example of that lol.
i don't think i answered your question re the dummy - i use the Happy baby brand. Apparently a lot of midwives recommend them. I know it gives them something else to be dependent on, but if it works... Hannah wouldn't take it at first, but i kept popping it in, and eventually she took it - especially when she was really sleepy.
If it gets too hard for you to cope with, would you consider having a 'baby whisperer' visit you at home. I know a couple of people who have used one and their sleep woes have been fixed. They cost a bit, but may be worth it if it means you get more sleep.
sorry for the babble, and i've probably been of no help. I do know how you feel though
-
That's never a good sign Rainy. Hope her customer service improves!
Hmmmm can the little man do more than one sleep cycle or is he waking every 45 minutes all the time? How many day sleeps is he having? how long are they? Just thinking of the old sleep promotes sleep thing.
Is this normal for him, or is he worse than usual? When Lu was getting top teeth she woke every 45 min, now she can do a decent stint again. Maybe he is unwell or in pain (if you think he is in pain have you tried panadol?), or he might be working on his next big leap. (as in walking)
I tried really hard for a few nights not feed her all the time. It took a while, and a bit or corridor walking, but she got used to being cuddled to sleep, rather than fed. Now i am working on patting rather than rocking her. But this whole process has taken weeks. Slowly, slowly i have tried to break each habit.
During the day i go into her room at 40 min mark and gently pat her, or run in when i hear the first squeak, she stirs but doesn't wake up and generally i can get her to settle for another 45 min. This only works in the morning though, not a chance in the arvo.
Like someone suggested, maybe he has a food intolerance......
What happens if your man settles him? That was the other thing we did to try and cut out night feeds, DP would go into her and try and settle. (Didn't always work, but did/does sometimes.)
Sorry i am certainly no expert, i was in your shoes not long ago. But thought i'd share some ideas, you never know what might help... :comfort:
I think from all the reading i have done that consistency is most important. But as it says in no cry, if it's not working, dont sweat it, go back to the old way of settling and try again next time.
Hope things are better tonight. sorry for rambling, i should be in bed! xxx
ETA- have you given him a 'lovey' that smells like you? i found that helped too. I wear it down my top during the day sometimes, and then it smells of all my gross sweat, but she seems to like it! ;)
-
thanks for your help jaz
i think you're exactly right about him waking up without me and freaking out.ijust don't know what else to do.
i have a happy baby dummy, might pull it out of the cupboard again.
i guess i'm not doing anything too drastic atm cos i think he might still be a bit sick so this isn't helping the situation.
i'mjust at wits end. he can't sleepin my arms forever.
dp will never pay for a baby whisperer.....
-
thanks ange
he can do more than one sleepcycle.he normally sleeps 10.30-11.30 am, then 1.30-3,00pm everyday. it's just when i try to put him to bed at night.
he wasn't this bad before.he caught a really bad cough from mothers group- don't even get me started on the really thoughtless and stupid mother who brings her child to everyones house, lets her suck on all their toys, share their foodetc.and then proceeds to tell us that her dd has been waking herself up coughing every couple of hours and vommitting phlem for 7 weeks.
anyway., since he started coughing the day after we saw her and his sleep has been shocking ever since.i have given panadol, nurofen, used a vaporiser, wore him in a sling.....
dp cannot settle him.
i have tried that method from no cry of getting him off the boob but he acts like i am giving him a chinese waterburn.
-
Oh love, sleep deprivation sux. I would just try and ride it out while he is sick. Like you say, there is no point trying to fix anything when he is unwell. IT will get better.
When its been happeneing for a few nights you feel like '**** this is what it is going to be like forever!' But then a few days down the track he will improve out of sight and it will all seem like a bad dream.
Not that that makes you feel any better right now, but when he is feeling himself his sleep will get better too.
I guess it could also be seperation anxiety, he knows this is the long stint where mummy is going to leave him, again the lovey that smells like you might help..... just thinking outloud
Yeah dont get me started on MG women and their germs. One bought her bub who had been at the RCH on Sunday for his long standing viral cough to MG???? What are some people thinking? seriously. The same woman had a cold and got a big dollop of sugary cream/custard on her finger and fed it to Lu? Again....WTF???? anyhooo, i'll stop ranting now.
-
Oh in regards to getting Lu off the boob, she did protest ALOT and it took a while, but she got the hang of it. I never held her jaw or anything, i just took her off when she was drowsy and rocked her, then if she was upset put her back on and started again. It doesnt always work but i can rock her to sleep 8/10 times now.
-
rainy - does L sleep in his cot during the day?
-
**** ange!
i just can't believe that.why would you turn up when your childhad been at the rch on sunday!!! i can't believe that.
the worst part is that i was supposed to have it at my house last week but rang everyone and cancelled cos L had been sick since the mg the weekbefore and dp refused to let that particular mother come to our house. so i rang everyone and cancelled- ijust didn't want to risk l seeing that baby again. then the next day i went to my friend's place so our babies could play and she just randomly came around to my friend's place with her sick, coughing kid! we couldn't believe it.i kept lewis on my lap the whole time and wouldn't let him play with her dd. so friggin angry!
yes i have left a lovey with him.he ignores it..
anyway, how are you feeling? have you hadascan yet? sorry about my typing, i have no spacebar!
-
yes he sleeps either in my bed or in the cot during the day
-
ha, i type like that and i have a space bar!
No scan yet, will see OB @ 10 weeks. (Was thinking of popping into mum's work and having a little look, but that's a bit naughty! :o)
Some people are just so selfish, or maybe they really dont think about it? dunno, but drives me nuts. Keep ya nasty germs to yourself!
Sorry i can't be more helpful. Hope you are napping in the day, and getting as much sleep as you can.
-
thanks ange, i'm gonna go lie in bed with him now.....
try to get him to sleep
big hugs
-
rainy - how are you typing without the space bar?
sorry for all of the questions - just trying to gather all the information - would love to help you have a good night sleep. Do you put L down to sleep at night in his cot or in your bed?
-
Hey everyone!
G, I don't have any solutions for you hun. If you do start to implement a more rigid routine etc, it may take a little time, you just have to be patient, which I know is really hard when you're not 100%. And if he isn't 100% that wont be helping either. Huge Hugs for you though, you sound really drained atm...
H, so glad to hear you may have solved the mystery. I brought a pair of jeans a while back and they still have a hint of the chemical smell in them and they have been washed heaps.
Marydean, I and sitting here with a big grin at your mummy revenge LOL. Well done on the buy of the century. I have seen those and they look really good.
Pregpan, I eagerly await your birthday tale LOL.
Ange, yep, you do get a lot more casual as you go on LMAO. It wasn't that bad though, just a quick wipe and it was OK - more snot came out than blood.
How is Noni today?
Jaz, Well done on the purchase today *gives fairy claps* mum and I are braving it tomorrow just for a sticky beak.
Arte, I"m dying to hear all aobut the carrot festival too LMAO - I have never heard of it before.
-
Rainy, we have the same sleep problems as you. I think it is that he is not very good at self settling because I have always fed him to sleep. As I said in my rambling post before, when L wakes up you need to keep him in bed so he knows it is night time. If you get him up then he will just think that 7pm is just a nap time and he gets to play when he wakes up. It is really boring lying there with them, W chats, plays with the pillow/blanket, cries. I just keep telling him night-night time and lying him back down and offering him boob. Eventually he will take it, usually after he has cracked it and started crying. After a few nights he won't expect to get up anymore, but it will take a few nights of staying strong, even when it can take over an hour for them to give up and go back to sleep. This is just what worked for us, up to you whether you think it will work for you and L.
The other thing I can think of is when you go in to check after about 40 minutes, quietly get into bed with him and the second he starts to stir shove boob in his mouth. I know it won't do anything for the feed to sleep thing but it might help with the waking problem.
I know that for us it isn't seperation anxiety because he wakes up just as frequently during the night when I am right there. I think in our case it is that he has a very strong feed to sleep association and really thinks he needs to feed to go to sleep. I didn't expect to have such major sleep issues with a 10 month old. I really thought that he would be sleeping through well before now.
Sounds like there are heaps of odd festivals around - chestnut, pumpkin, carrot lol
W has started standing from the floor so he doesnt need to crawl over and pull himself up on something now. I think that development was why he was so clingy the other day because as soon as he mastered it he went back to happy normal. He is soooo fast on his feet, and silent too. He is there one second and then gone the next lol
-
hello hello
well feeling much better after my baby free day yesterday though we are straight back into it today.. Asha got up early and cried until i was forced to get up lol.. dp said to me last night that i will probably want a break once a week rather than once a fortnight lol i dont know whether i should be insulted by that or not haha i think he is thinking of himself more than he is thinking of me iykwim lol.. i think i will stick with once a fortnight for now though as i feel bad taking up all my mums time.. she works shift work and gets one or two days off a week if i am taking up her one day a week when its only one day she wont have much time to herself or with her husband so id feel bad about that lol.. feeling good about one day a fortnight anyway considering i had nothing before haha..
arte - wow thats clever standing up without anything!!
trillian - doing well thanks how bout yourself?
jazmum - i went to target last night and looked at the smart trikes.. they only had the red one left ofthe $100 variety and then there was a more plasticy $80 one dp wouldnt let me get the red one haha he said it was over the top because it wasnt her brithday etc (stamps foot) he told me we could get the other one but it would still be spoiling her lol i didnt end up getting anything lol coz i wanted the $100 one and was sooking haha pitty i cant just go without him damn not having a car! or a licsence hahaha
ange - does your mum work at an ultrasound place? i would so go and have a look haha i think i had like 3 scans before 12wks i was sooo paranoid!!!
rain - sorry i cant be much help with the sleeping thing what we do is bath, pjs and put her in bed with a bottle but we often have the same problems your having :(
bettergo asha stinks and shes pulling out all the papers from the desk ahhhhhh
-
Arte - Target have the deluxe smart trikes for $100, down from $150. The place we saw the eurotrikes at, they were $170 but they were going to give us a special deal of about $140. Enjoy the festival!
Rainy - sorry, can't give you much more advice than the others have given you. is your night time bed routine different than daytime naps? ie can you read a certain book that is only read before bed, then he might start to associate that with longer sleeps.
MD - lol at your PP!!
-
morning everyone :)
rainy - how was your night?
arte- your little man is so advanced. Both my older girls were walking by this age as well, but i think Han is just so tiny. She can stand and balance on her own for a few seconds, but not quite ready to take any steps yet.
i went back to target again this morning - it was so quiet. I picked up a few outfits for Han - it's starting to really feel like winter here now. About time too! There were so many gorgeous summer outfits already. I wanted to buy them all!!!! The problem is if you don't start buying them now, there's nothing nice left when they need to wear them
Off to change a stinky bottom.
What are all the bubs having for lunch today? i'm not sure what to cook up for han - maybe an omelette.
-
thanks so much for your advice everyone, sorry for my little freak out last night
i'm feeling much better today.
arte- i think i'm going to try your suggestion tonight of going back in there and not letting him out of bed. he just gets so violent sometimes and starts headbutting me and laughing!
i'm trying to get dp to put a tv in there so i can just lie there and watch tv while he drifts off.
does anyone else ever get a bit resentful towards their friends wanting to do stuff all the time? i think it's just because i'm pg and exhausted, but i just am starting to get a bit sick of friends demanding my time. my friend really wants to go out to lunch on saturday but i just can't be bothered. i feel tired even thinking about it. people just don't understand that dp works really long hours- sometimes 6 days a week, so on the days that he's not at work it's my only chnace to get a small break. sometimes i don't even wash my hair all week! ahhh i know i'm being such a whinger atm, you're right sherie- i am very drained.
i've got my ob appointment today. i am a little worried she's going to start telling me i have to stop breastfeeding lewis. i'm not 100% sure we've made the right decision in taking the ob/private hos route again. i'll have to see what she says today i guess.
i have found out about another doula- recomended by lulu2 from here. she is much cheaper than the other doula i called who never returned my call, so that's good.
jaz- i'm typing without the space bar still cos if you lift your spacebar off there is actually a small dot in the middle which works if you touch it right on the dot. very annoying when usually you can touch such a wide area and get the same result. it is definitely winter here, i;ve got a hot water bottle on my lap it's so freezing!
sorry for selfish post again guys, i'm being so bad lately!!
