just a quickie - before i get Hannah to sleep
Rainy - is L's cot in your room. What if you put him in the cot and sit next to him? Would he let you do that? Maybe a way to stop him from hurting you. I've been laying on the couch with Hannah to get her to sleep and when she plays up i put her on the floor. She cries and i pick her up. She eventually wears herself out and falls asleep.
I hope your appointment goes well today.
-
Hi girls!
wowsers it has been busy in here!! LOL! a girl can barely keep up!
G: good luck for the scan today!! how exciting!! and dont be worried about the choice you've made for the hospy (unless you dont like the place or ppl!). in the end, you are the one in charge and many women have walked the path of tandem bf with a newborn and toddler. i think i read just the other day in here of a woman doing the exact same thing, so maybe have a scan in the bf section?? ITH.
as for the sleep, i would recommend not doing anything different while L is sick, otherwise when he gets better there is the risk that he associates that change with feeling yuk. start when he (and you) are feeling better. that way there is better chance of success. if you are interested in self-settling (which we have done with success), check out karitane website as they have age appropriate options, and you can take it or leave it as regards the rigidity of the suggestions. my other recommendation is like what JaZMum suggested and getting a baby whisperer. i know that Pinky McKay herself does this, and is on your side of melb. she has her own website...check it out as it has really gentle options if that may suit L better.
MD: yep, we took her to the Drs and she is on the hard stuff for the conjuntivitis. will take 6 days of drops and cleaning. but doc reckons she'll be right as rain for next week. already it is looking a million bucks.
ooopsy, i have to go, didnt realise the time and it is limited as DH is home with L today and is freaking out as she is a bit crazy...WE HAVE 2 TEETH!!!!!! it's a miracle!!! only took 10.5 months LOL!!
BBL guys!
smiles to all.
-
Hi Girls,
Rainy-I just want to come and give you a big:hug::hug: Hope your appointment with OB goes well today... I always loved having scans.
Clare- WTG L:dance::dance: Congrat on your teeth
Jazmum- I am going to go to target on sat arvo or sunday.
Dinner last night was great and It was really nice to catch up with my GF. Not much happening tonight tomorrow the boys have their first birthday party to go to at McDonalds. So that should be good. Then going for drinks at friends house sat night. Oh and we are off to dreamworld on Monday. Present for the boys from MIL for there birthday. They will love it .
Better go:hug:
-
Leanne - sounds like you're going to have a fun weekend. Dreamworld sounds fantastic - at least you won't have to put up with the school holiday crowd.
rainy - scrap any advice i've given you re sleeping. Hannah has hardly had any today.
i've entered H in the Little Tikes comp - she's on page 5 of the 'most recents'.
dh is away tonight - hope there's a good movie on the tv. if not, the girls Nanny just bought the Enchanted dvd, so i might watch that.
-
scan went really well ladies
there's only one in there
no offence leanne, but the way i'm feeling right now,i was very relieved :)
due date is March 1st. she said i could breastfeed as long as i like, but in her experience she said i would find it easier if i weaned lewis before #2 is born. i'm going to look into it.
i felt really goodafter i left the obs, very happy in our choice. she made me feel really good and excited.
thanks so much for all your support and suggestions over the last couple of days. sorry i have been such a nightmare. lewis is still quite sick soi'm just going tohang in there until i'm confident that he'sbetter. then i will look into some different techniques- eg. kariatane,no cry sleep solutions, pinky etc.
once again, thank you all somuch for being here for me
sorry i still have no space bar!! i feel so sorry for you all having to read my dribble
-
JaZaH - Love Actually's on the teev tonight. Get your tissues and your chocolate out!
Rainy - no apologising for dribbling - EVER! We're all here for you hun. Re the BFing while you are pg, the ABA will have some advice either way, whether you want to keep feeding or whether you want to wean. Hope L is feeling better soon so you can get some rest!! Re your space bar, sounds like a good excuse to get a new wireless keyboard!
Well it's Chinese Soup night here, altho these days it'll be two dinners as E will have her tea & bath before we go out. We have this pink lamb/bunny/sheepy suit (not sure was species it's supposed to be) that goes over her pjs so she's nice and snug. Helps assuage the mummy guilt for keeping her out when she should be in BED!
BTW I'm dying to hear all about Pregpan's memorable birthday! I'm going to start a rumour and say maybe she has some news to share...?!
-
ooohhhh what's pregpan's news?? he he i'm dying to know!!
well, lewis is tucked up in bed asleep right now. the monitor is on.
we'll see what happens. he's still coughing and sneezing a lot though, poor little fella
m,mmm chinese soup...dp has just gone up the road to get a vegetarian pizza
-
Hi girls!
Rainy - Oh you poor thing, dont apologise for letting it all out, it makes you feel heaps better. Besides it gives us a chance to try and help. I feel your pain, I have been feeding to sleep and she rarely settles any other way at bed time now. Grr silly me. Hang in there, I'm sure it will all fall into place for you. I wonder if you will have another baby boy, gosh so exciting! As much as twins sounds exciting, I think I'm more suited to one at at time myself too hehe. Leanne is a super mum!! I am with you 100% about mums bringing their sick bubs out to mums group, why would you do? Especially seeing as the baby would surely be miserable being sick, the last thing they want is a play day!? Its best for everyone if they stay home. Grrrrr thats so bad.
MD - Ooh I am dying to hear Pregpans news too! We are doing two dinners here as well, as we are also going out for tea tonight.
Jazmum - Oh no hope H isnt too bad tonight when it comes to bed, seeing as she hasnt had much sleep? Does it make her grumpy come bed time or does she settle well due to being so tired?
Leemar - Lucky duck, dreamworld is great fun, enjoy it!
Clare - Congrats on the teeth!
Cally - Did you get the trike? Sounds like a cool chrissy present.
Noni - Your mum probably really looks forward to her day with Asha.
Arte - I too thought bubs would surely sleep through by 10 months HAHA yeah right.
Trillian - Its so scary to think about the amount of chemicals they put in clothing. Yuck. I will never make that mistake again.
Well I am feeling a bit sad & worried today...can feel a small rant coming on lol sorry girls. I went out for lunch with a friend & her bub and her MIL & they would not stop commenting on how big M is and is she over weight and what does she eat etc etc. Early on I was worried about her weight but havent worried about it for months now. Well now I am paranoid about it again!! She eats really healthy foods and the normal recommended amounts for her age. I worry though as my MIL is terribly overweight as is my grandmother. I hope it isnt in her genes iykwim, and I am not being superficial but I just dont want her to be unhealthy.
-
hayley- is maddie crawling yet? i'm sure once she starts moving around more she'll burn off lots. anyway, from the pics i've seen i think she looks absolutely perfect. babies are supposed to look chubby, she's gorgeous!
one day when she's a supermodel you'll look back and tease her about what a chubby baby she used to be :)
eta- lewis is awake and sitting on dp's lap with snot pouring out of his nose like a walrus.
-
waiting eagerly for pregpans news!! hahahaha
-
-
ohhh rain - poor little Lewis :( have you got your trusty snot sucker at the ready ?? I'm glad everything went well with your ob appointment today. Don't apologise for needing to share what's happening in your life. That's what we're here for - the highs and the lows. It's great that we have a place that we can come to for advice or just to vent.
when you are referring to something that is said here on bb, say to a real life friend, do you say ' a friend of mine said......' etc ? I find myself mentioning things in conversation and will say that. Sometimes people look at me a bit weird when i tell them i have on-line buddies. Anyone else have that?
H - Hannah went down ok - she fell asleep on the boob  i got to have a nice cuddle on the couch though - because she was so sound. re weight - you'll find someone somewhere is always ready to offer comments on the height/ weight of your child. Hannah gets all the time - 'oh isn't she small'. "I wouldn't have thought she was that old!!!". On occasions i have let it worry me, but i just tell myself that she is a happy, healthy baby. Maddie is just gorgeous and is thriving. Rainy is right - her body is just storing it in preparation for when she is zooming around your house!!
md - i hope you enjoyed your soup. I think i've seen Love Actually a couple of times, might keep it on while i read a book.
I was watching a Disney movie tonight with the girls - a special treat for a Friday night. It was about a Naval ship and the families of the sailors were on board. Long story short - the ships alarms went off - the world trade centre had been hit by planes. I was watching it thinking that i should maybe turn it off. To be honest - i didn't know what to do. We ended up watching it, and i kind of lied and said it didn't happen , it was just a movie (had my fingers crossed behind my back lol)
Zoe started crying that she missed daddy. She was inconsolable until she fell asleep. Now i'm worried that they'll both have bad dreams. Oh the joys of being responsible for what goes on in our children's minds.
haven't had dinner so might go and have some raisin toast smothered in butter.
eta - Clare I saw Leila's picture on the little tikes site!!
-
thanks so much for everything jaz
yes i talk about my bb 'friends' all the time.i was doing it just before actually as dp and i were talking about how he's going to get the snip and i said that he would probably feel really sore for a few days. he asked me how i knew that and i said 'oh,my friend's dh had one'....so funny!
i hope zoe is ok, the world is so cruel isn't it?
it's just so much for them to deal with...
-
MM totally don't worry about it, I'm sure if you looked at her on the percentile growth charts she would be exactly where she is supposed to be. Anyway, as odd as it sounds, she is more likely to grow up and be an overweight adult if she is undernourished or malnourished as a small child. That's the truth.
JaZah, I've had Disney movies sneak up on us like that too. I can't get over how much the ratings have changed over the last few years, there are G movies that would've been PG back when we were little (haha back when more ppl had black and white tv than colour) and PG movies that I'm sure should be M-rated!! It's like they expect kids just know so much more these days so they just put it right into the movies! BTW, DD1 had just started kindy when the world trade center got bombed and it was everywhere -shops, banks, ppls houses, tv radio, the whole bit. It was very hard to hide it, but the kindy advised us not to deny it if the kids asked but to stress instead that it happened a long way from where we are and it's over now and we're all safe. I think for the purposes of a friday night in front of the teev "it's just a movie" is quite an appropriate response. You were watching for entertainment not reality!!
-
rain - you're welcome :)
md - you're right - it did sneak up on me! We were enjoying watching and then they had to throw that in. Jess asked me what was happening and when i was explaining it to her, it sounded like something out of a horror movie. Dh might be going to India at the end of the month, so i just hope it's erased from their minds by then. Although Zoe tends to dwell on things. On Anzac Day, they were talking about Wars and guns etc at Kindy - she had bad dreams that night and was worried the planes were going to shoot us.
anyway, it's getting late , better go to bed.
btw - how was your soup?
-
Jaz- Yeah i just say 'one of my friends', i don't specify where i met them! I've never had on-line friends before. I think there is a bit of a social stigma with meeting people over the internet IYMWIM. People look at me funny too if i explain! I am sure that is slowly changing though. Friends of ours met and fell in love on the internet a few years back, now they both live in NZ (she was from the US), and are married wit 3 kids. I must admit i was a little sceptical when i forst hear about our mates new love. So i guess i am guilty too!
Nonie- Yeah, my mum is a sonographer. It's a big bonus as my scans are all free.
Rain- If you can't let it all in here, where can ya? don't apologise, thats why we're all here. ;) Good news about OB and BF'ing. After all the dramas i had with Lu, i was very happy to have my OB there. i am looking forward to doing it all again, and know i have might the rght decision to go private again. That doesn't mean that i'm not going to try my hardest for a natural, interventon free birth again though. I think the most important thing is that you need to feel compfortable with your decision. If you're not sure, why don't you go and have a tour at the Angliss (is that the bithing centre??) and have a bit of a look around.... TV in your room sound like a good ida if it means you can rest.
Nausea is in full swing. Lost a few kg's. I guess it's a BF/MS combo. (Don't worry i have a few spare still! :D )
Sorry brain bit mushy, bad night sleep wise. Might go take a rest.
hi everyone.
-
Hi Girls,
Just a quickie from me as we are already at 11am having a shocker of a day with Leila...tantrums, the whole lot since about 1am...oh the joys of sick and teething children!
JaZMum: ha ha ha! i'm glad people can find her amongst the millions of other bubs on the little tikes site!! there are sooo many babies around!
and yep! i talk about my BB friends and what their advice is all the time! especially with the conjunctivitis stuff and the recipes! DH knows that i have a completely different circle of friends from him on this one LOL!!
anyway best dash as Leila is in a foul mood and is into destructing everything in front of me for a reaction... best be off before the phone really does get it!
-
afternoon ladies
clare - i chanced upon her while i was looking for Hannah. I saw her photo and thought - 'I know that cute little face!!!".
we just got back from Bunnings. Dh is still away, so i took the girls down for the free craft session. They made maracas and then we had a sausage sizzle.
We're getting excited for tonight - The Hannah Montana/miley cyrus movie is on Disney tonight - and we've got our free 3d glasses ready!!! (i am actually really looking forward to it ...how sad is that )
-
Grr - Target will only raincheck the red smart trike, not the pink one. I've sent my sister up in Canberra to see if she can get hold of the pink one. Stupid Target Country. Extra frustrating because they were there and I could have got it on Thursday but because they told me it was raincheckable I assumed it would be the pink as well as the red.
Jaz - I've had a few funny looks when I've mentioned you guys to people I don't know very well. DH and my family know all about it though, I mention BB heaps! Enjoy your movie tonight!
Clare - I know that mood. DD woke early this morning after I had a disturbed sleep (first night back in with DH and he was noisy and coughing) and refused her weetbix, threw her toast everywhere and just whinged constantly. I was ready to pass her across to anyone! Sent her back to bed after only 1.5 hours.
Someone was asking about destructiveness - we have that here. One of DH's books got trashed yesterday and her favourite thing is pulling nappies out of the change table and spreading them everywhere. I call her 'cyclone Katie' when that happens.
Rainy - glad the scan went well.
Leanne - have fun at Dreamworld.
-
Cally - bummer about the trike - they definitely should have mentioned that to you. When i bought Hannah's, i was thinking about you and that i should buy you one. but then to post it to you would probably have cost as much as the regular price. Let me know if you want me to ring around up here though.
dh used to say to me that a ' certain type' of person usually frequents forums. I told him that all of my on- line friends are intellegent, well - spoken (you know what i mean) and confident women. I love chatting with you guys. I think it keeps me sane :p
I've been a member of bellybelly for almost 2 years!!! My goodness, that time just flew by.
-
jaz- you and i always seem to be on here at the same time lately. spooky!
well, i just went up the road with my friend to have lunch (at ranges ange), and would you believe it? dp looked after lewis!
i strapped him onto dp's back in the ergo and when i got back he was still in there dead asleep. dp was in the garage working on his motorbike with little lewis asleep on his back. so cute!
that was the first baby free time i've had in ages.i missed him though
ibought the most beautiful fairy book and butterfly mobile for a 3 yo birthday lewis is going to on saturday. it made me feel excited that this baby could be a girl :)
cally- how annoying for you!
jaz- i think that sounds like a great night in with your girls
ange- i thought about the angliss birth centre, but i would've been kicked out of it last time soi just wouldn't want to risk it. i was really happy with my ob yesterday.i thought she was fantastic.very positive.
what is your due date again?
-
Just a quick Hello form me.
Busy weekend here. We have a big Birthday party for all the kids form Antenatal group tomorrow and I am in charge of the cake.
I will try and catch up tomorrow night.
Have a great weekend!!!
-
OH Wow! so much news to read I love it LOL.
Busy here - yesterday was preschool day and Alister and I went to our first Baby Bounce session at the library and it was so much fun! There were only 4 other mums there and Alister was the oldest - the others were 2x 6mths and 2 x 4mths and only one girl, but they are all really nice (two of them I already knew anyway) and it was great to have a cuppa and chat afterwards with them. You also get a resource book with all the stories and rhymes in it that you do in the session and the baby's all got a board book each to keep. He enjoyed it while we were singing, but trying to keep hold of him when we were just getting instruction was like trying to hang onto an octopus LMAO - arms and legs going everywhere!
Mum and I also checked out target, but we only have a small target country and they got bugger all in this year. All the DS bundles were sold out and they weren't raincheckable, but on ebay they have them for cheaper from the US anyway. They didn't have any pink smart trikes left, only 1 red one, but I didn't like that they had so much fabric on them - out here in the blistering heat during summer it would just fade and perish. I realised though when I saw it that that's what my sister got for my niece Leiah - she has mild cerebal palsy from birth and my sister thought it was great because she could strap her into it (Leiah doesn't have a lot of muscle strength so she can't sit unaided for long) and Leiah just loves it. So what I did get was the budget barbie camper bus for Paige which was $49.95 down from 99.95, one of those voice activated diaries for Erin which was the same price, a lego star wars battle ship for Lindsay and some duplo lego for Alister and some wooden thomas things for him.
Hayley, don't worry about M's size. Some people who are only used to seeing their own bubs will think that anything bigger or smaller than them is exaggeratingly bigger or smaller kwim? She's gorgeous as she is. Come the time they are 2yo you wont even be able to tell who was bigger or who was smaller.
G, glad the scan went well for you hun. Great news that your ob is cool with you feeding L. If you play it by ear for now he may wean on his own, or you may reach a point where you think you've had enough. If you want to tandem feed it wont be all that hard. Check out MummaB's thread on tandem feeding - she has a newborn now and is still feeding her 2yo DS - it might be helpful for you :) I think if you are happy with your ob then keep her, as you know they don't do a lot at the time of the birth. I think a Doula is by far your best option.
-
Hi Girls, quick one for me as the outlaws are here and staying the freaking night
Thanks for your reassurance re Maddie's weight. I think she looks so cute with her chubbiness, it just made me feel very paranoid iykwim. Not nice when someone makes comments like that, and Jazmum DP said exactly the same as you about people commenting on small babies too. Sherie I think you are right when you say people compare your child to their own.
Gracie & Falguni - Hope you are both doing well and finding time to rest/relax...if its at all possible hehe. Falguni sorry to hear about the ms you poor thing.
Jazmum - Enjoy the Miley movie!! I am a HM fan as well so can understand your excitment.
Trillian - Good on you for getting some bargains!
Must go sorry girls....will catch up asap
-
No H, it's not right that others feel the need to comment in such a way to make you feel bad. People just don't think sometimes. I hope your night with the IL's is going well ;)
OK, you all have to measure the length of your babies feet and tell me how long they are. I forgot to say earlier that I got Alister a new pair of shoes now that he's walking because he needed ones with really flexible soles, so anyway the guy in the shoe shop measured them and said they were really long for his age - they are 12cm long! But I have no idea if that is really long or not because the other three all have really wide short feet so I can't compare them - I know at 3mths old when I did his prints for his baby book, they were 1cm longer than Lindsay's and nearly 2cm longer than the girls feet at the same age.
-
Trill, I just got out the tape measure and W's feet are 11cm. What was the name of that online store you got kids clothes at? W has outgrown most of his clothes and we aren't planning to go to civilisation for another 6 weeks so I thought I would order some online.
MM, I was looking at pics of Maddie on FB and she is a cutie. She is a bit chubby but certainly not one of those 'my 1 year old weighs 30kg' tabloid stories lol. My neice had the biggest bubba thunder thighs ever, now her mum has trouble finding clothes to fit her skinny waist so I don't think it is an indicator of how she will grow up.
MD, the lady across the road seemed nice, but not really my cup of tea. She is one of those people that spew out their entire life story within 5 minutes of meeting them.
Rainy, glad you are happy with your Ob. Hopefully you won't go so overdue this time around. That must have been really cute with L asleep on your DP's back.
Leanne, have a good time at Dreamworld. The boys are at a fantastic age to enjoy it now.
Pregpan, what is the birthday secret?
JaZaH, I talk about my online mother group sometimes. I think people think it is a bit weird, but it isn't like I am selling all my worldly goods and moving overseas to marry anyone.
Well the Carrot Carnival wasn't as exciting as I was anticipating lol. There was a bouncy thing that W might have liked but it was too cold to get him out of the pram. There wasn't a lot, just a few bake stalls, food vans and home made jewelry.
-
Yay for sisters that live in the big smoke!! Mine has ordered us a pink trike. Might not make K's birthday though - all that means is I get to buy her some other toys!
Trillian - will try measuring K's feet when she gets up. I've been thinking of getting her some shoes too.
Arte - sorry the festival wasn't as good as you were expecting. At least you got out and about though!
Well I went back to bed for a nanna nap this morning. Got up 3 hours later - must have been tired. Then DH took us out for lunch so I've had a pretty good day.
Hope everyone else is having a good weekend.
-
K's feet are 11.5cm long.
(I notice the cheeky little soles website has 6-12 month olds with 12.5 cm feet so A doesn't have huge ones)
-
Thanks for the reassurance on the feet LMAO. he is wearing some slippers that Lindsay didn't wear till he was well over 12mths old so I had no idea if he was normal or not.
Cally, WooHoo for getting the trike from your sister - you've had a great day all round then LOL. I got the 6-12mths size from cheeky little soles and they don't stay on his feet because they are too short - but they are the slippers and with the lining I suppose they are smaller on the inside. His shoe size was a 4.
Arte, it was gymboree.com that I got the stuff from. They have an excellent turn around - they only take a week to get here to me. LOL at you not going into civilisation for a while yet.
-
Yeah Rain, i hear ya loud and clear! I would've been booted out of birthing centre too at 38weeks when PE started, i was so happy i went private last time. I think due the 12th March, can't remember. A thursday anyway. Awwww lewis asleep on you dp's back sounds very cute. mmmmm ranges was nice.
Cally- That is bizarre they will rain check one color but not the other. At least red would be handy if you have a boy?!
MM- Thanks for your condolences re my MS. I don't get much sympathy around here, self inflicted and all! The full time nausea has set in again, i was hoping to just get normal in the morning kind of nausea, not 24/7. :( ah well, no point whinging! How'd you go with the outlaws?
Lu's feet are 11.5cm too. Maybe the dude was new to the shoe shop. Or another person who makes a comment to make a comment!
Arte: No carrot racing? Or carrot picking competition? What kind of carrot festival they running over there?! Bummer it was a let down. Did you at least get some homemade raspberry jam?
I went to a watermelon festival on our trip around oz. It was a bit of a hoot. They cut watermelons in half, it was a race you had to dig out the flesh and then put them on as shoes, and slip across some plastic with detergent on it. It was pretty funny, but it was lucky no-one broke a leg! Dh came second.
Cally- i am jelous of your nap!
We have to move house again. The other manager resigned so DH is picking up alot of his workload, so need to move more central to the other properties. The upside is the house is nice. The downside is we're further away from melb, AND i have to pack all this crap up AGAIN. We have moved so many times in the last 5 years it aint funny!
-
Ange - bummer on the move. You must be well practiced at it. At least the new house is nicer.
-
ange- where are you moving to?
trillian- lewis' canoes are 12.5 cm too!
cally- congrats on the pink trike. maybe i should be thinking about getting lewis a trike soon?
-
Hi ladies, feeling a bit rattled today after I went in to get E after her sleep and the cot side was DOWN!!! Luckily she was just standing there (like usual) bouncing up and down (instead of pitching head forwards over the side onto the floor). I'm just horrified at the thought of what could have happened, kwim? Just for not paying attention for a second. :(
Sorry for lack of personals. Haven't had tea or anything yet. Still waiting to hear from Pregpan about her Memorable Birthday ;).
-
Hi Girls,
MM- Please dont worry about M weight. When Jordy and X were babies everyone use to say that Jordy must take all X's milk and food. God that use to **** me off. I would then have to say that actually X ate and drank more than Jordy. Jordy was just natually big but since walking and running he has slimed right down. X is still smaller though. Olivia is also a big girl but I dont care cause I know that thats just the way she is made.
Rainy- Glad you had a great OB appointment. Bummer its only 1. Only joking...
MD- how was the soup. Now I feel like some..
Jazmum- speaking of World Trade Centre my MIL was there the daybefore it happend. I think she feels a connection with the us now and goes there once or twice a year. Glad I dont have to deal with telling the kids about that stuff yet. Hope it everyone slept ok:hug:.
Oh went to Target today and put a heap on layby. Got a pink trike for Olivia. Heard all you girls talking about them and they look great too. Got the boys some ride on tractors so they will love them. Hope the weather is ok for tomorrow the news report said we were going to have a thunder storm.
Any way Hello to everyone and have a great night.
-
Hi Girls!
R: glad the scan went well! it's breathtaking that first looksie! and yeah, with Leila, DH's first question was: how many????! (we have a couple of sets of twins on both sides...).
I didnt realise birth centres were so strict. i knew they were tricky to get into, but didnt realise they had time limits! hmm all the more trickier!
MM: i wouldnt worry about the weight either, as the others have said, they all grow at different rates. Leila is constantly being commented on because she is small, and i am always defending myself saying that she is a healthy eater etc etc. (she eats like a horse LOL!).
L: aww you are lucky! i went to buy the trike but they were all gone! went in on the friday, and it was completely decimated. not happy. bought a FP lawnmower thing, but so not as cool.
MD: the cot side thing has happened to us a couple a times now too. it is terrifying! and dont feel bad about it. it's just one of those slips, and she's alright! (in fact she's perfect, but you dont need me telling you that!)
Ange: bummer about the whole day m/s. i too had that with L, and it was the pits!
sorry to hear about more moving. i hear you on the crapness of it all. we have just moved to melbourne and it looks as though we may have to move to wollongong. i'm not impressed and am hoping it will all just go away and i live happily ever after here!! that something else turns up before january! so where are you moving to?
AFM: well i had an interesting day today. saw the belly belly pregnancy centre (YAY!). it is really awesome. they hold really awesome birth classes (very vocal!). sounds like fun and really community IYKWIM? DH and i went there for the pre and post natal emotional support group and it was really good. what a service! nice to know that we're not alone at the very least. they hold the group once a month, so i am glad that i get to go back there and check the stuff out. i highly recommend the services to anyone living in melbourne. i know that if i was UTD again, i would be going there, it seems so much more informative and 'real' than the poxy 5 classes that our hospital provided.
anyway best be off, DH is away again tomorrow and tuesday for work...:( so will get in some last minute cuddles!
hope the bubs sleep soundly tonight...

HELLO EVERYONE!!!
HAYLEY - Were you in the city Sunday afternoon??? I walked into someone who looked just like your DP (I really did walk into him haha) THEN I saw a baby just behind that looked like Maddie!!!
-
Renee! Hello! How have you all been?
-
Good Thanx sherie! So busy though! Between woeking 2 full days a week, playgroup twice a week, swimming lessons and organising Rory's birthday I havent had time to scratch my bum haha. I often wonder how OR COULD I manage with 2!! I take my hat off to you Sherie, your amazing! Super mum ;)
Will pop back on later, I need get to Target to get buggalugs birthday prezzie!

Hey everyone!!
Pregpan - I made your salmon balls yesterday and they are scrummy (I ate too many). DD took one look at them and threw them over the edge of the chair so we will try again today. She didn't even bother tasting it! She didn't seem that interested in food yesterday but managed 6 bfeeds!
K has done a little chuck each morning for the last week. Sometimes after her cereal, sometimes before. We haven't introduced any new things do you think it's related to swallowing a bit of mucus from her cold? Doesn't seem to worry her, I just find a bit on the floor.

Yay BB is working again!! (felt like I'd had a limb chopped off yesterday).
Renee, I can't wait to find out if you accidently bumped in to MM's DH and Maddie?! Wouldn't that be freaky! What did you get at Target? I've been dragging my feet re going there, but we popped in yesterday and got a little phone toy for E - it has little buttons like the remote control which she loves and it will be a big hit! Also got this bunny in a box toy, sounds lame but the parents as teachers lady showed me to play games where you put something in the box and encourage E to get it out (helps develop their object permanence) and the box has a magnetic latch and big enough to put other things in.
Clare, I think I'd be loathe to leave Melb too, I reckon it'd be a fantastic place to live. Oh well, just concentrate on the sunny days, the lush greenery and views of Mt Keira you'll have if you move to Woll. Thanks for your reassurance re the cot thingy. After my initial freak out, I'm actually feeling a lot calmer because it showed me that just because there's an opportunity for disaster it doesn't automatically follow that the disaster will occur, kwim? All the same I'm a bit obsessed now and keep peeking in to make sure the cot side is up! The BB centre sounds awesome BTW, did you get a lot from the group?
Pregpan, aaaaah tell us about your birthday!!! BTW I got an Annabel Karmel book at the library and it's got a few good recipes in but not lots, kwim? I saw another book at Paperchain that was just recipes all the way through. Which one do you have?
Leanne, well done on your Target purchases! I think I'll have to have a leisurely wander around in there tmrw when E is at FDC. As it was I couldn't concentrate cos DH wanted me to buy him some stuff and I was too busy worrying if I got the right thing or not.
Rainy I went looking for Batchelor but it's not playing here, we are however getting reruns of Mistresses which is good because I missed some the last time! Hows the MS coming along? Are you getting a bit more rest now?
Ange, I meant to say, on the upside, when you move frequently you don't tow heaps of cr@p around with you! LOL Great for getting those cupboards cleaned out isn't it? We had a year where we did 3x interstate moves within 11 mths )and gave birth and changed careers big year haha). I was sooooo sick of boxes by the end of it!
Sherie, I meant to tell you I've started splitting the banana into 3 (instead of cutting) and OMG it's fantastic! All these years and I never knew...! LOL
Arte, I kwym about the people who spew their life out, I'll never forget the time a tupperware lady came to drop something off and (without me inviting the information at all) I got a half-hour potted history of the entire developmental issues her son had from birth to age 10...WTF?! LOL I was very disappointed to hear the carrot festival was a fizzer. They could've had a pin the carrot on the snowman competition at least!!
Well the sleeping is going reeeeeally well here, E has started sleeping thru! I can't believe it!! I'm a bit worried tho about her not feeding overnight so I might start waking her for a dream feed again. The night feeds are always the best (no distractions) and i want to keep my supply up.
