is it just me or is anyone else finding all the pics on bb of the bears in cages quite disturbing?
i'm so tired today, i think i overdid it yesterday. my back is aching. dh actually got out of bed at a reasonable hour this morning for the first time ever and we took lewis to the playground for a run-around. he loved it! we took my new double pram, it's awesome :)
now dh has gone to the tip and is getting us mcdonalds on the way home. i think he feels bad cos he didn't get me anything for valentines- our first one as married...
clare- your valentines dinner made my mouth water! sounds lovely. i checked out those clothes, thanks NOT!!! i don't need any encouragement :lol: there's a shop near me that stocks them, so might have to check it out. i'm trying to get dh to buy me a new doona cover atm though, we threw out 2 recently so now i have a star wars darth vader one on my bed:rolleyes: not too pretty!
we bought lewis a king size single from 40winks, it's gorgeous.

Sherie - OMG on the tanty...karma copes me all the time. I say Sarah doesn't do something and then the next minute there she is...doing it. :doh: Woohoo on Ls eyes too. The drawing on the wall thing isn't something we've had to worry about YET!! (see above for karma info lol) but she was at a little friends house and the little friend was drawing on their walls and the mum let her. Sarah copied and I was horrified but the mum said that they are repainting the walls anyway so it doen't matter. I sort of understand that but what's stopping them from doing it on the freshly painted walls also. All of Sarahs art stuff is away and gets brought out when I'm ready to supervise :lol: but then again shes always sneaking into the office and grabbing biros. I usually always have the lid on or clicked down so :pray:
Katie - I had bleeding with Sarah and its a good sign that it's stopped. Is it the usual sort of time that you would have had your period? Dr called my bleeding breakthrough bleeding..it mimics period bleeding and causes all sort of panic from mums. Fingers crossed darl and hugs for your appts.
Clare - WTG on the valentines night out. Sounds like you had a blast. I too love voluptuous Jolie...much hotter. Mr and Mrs Smith Jolie rocks my fantasty world. lol
Sarahs hasn't gotten out of her seat YET (again refer to Karma note lol) but she doesn't pull herself around and out when I'm trying to get her in and shes after a toy or something beside her.
Rainy - Hugs on your bummer V Day. Boys just don't get it do they. My first mothers day pressie consisted of a last minute gift from a newsagency. It was a cardboard sign that says Best Mum Award. Lovely but very disappointing being my first. I hope Ronald makes up for it with his awesome lunches hehe. Oh and may the force be with you...and your bed ROFL. We have a reversable cover that has a geometric black and cream design on one side and cowboys and indians on the other. Yep you guessed it...DHs mummy brought it for him for his 21st. I'm waiting until winter so I can put our new quilt and cover on..its a grown up one with mature colours. haha:dance::lol:
G, I'm still in disbelief that it even comes in a queensize ROFL! I think you've definately earnt a new one. I would like a new one too, we've had our two since we brought our bed.
Kate, I don't get that either - it's not going to matter to the kids if they paint is old or new, they will keep doing it cause they've never been told not to do it.
We have a wall drawer here. We have the Crayola crayons that are washable - comes off with a damp sponge. I think the biggest fascination with wall drawing is the cleaning off she gets to do afterwards so I think we will stop letting her do that.
Massive tantrum here yesterday. About 30 mins of full on screaming. She was so distressed and I tried everything to calm her down. But it was easier to deal with than the 2.5 hours of constant whinging we had all morning.
Her sandfly bites are looking pretty bad and she's had 5 poos so far today so maybe she's a bit funny from that.

We went to my boss's ****tail party and I had 6 ****tails, actually feeling pretty good today. DD slept at MIL's all night (MIL slept in her room with her!) and had a ball. We went out for breakfast which was lovely, although it was fairly small so DH went to Baker's Delight and grabbed a mini pizza to fill him up!
Cally, we are having the hours of constant whinging here too. It really drains you having to listen to that. Nothing will distract him, it is really frustrating.
Sherie, no wall drawing here yet. I guess with two scientists for parents I didn't really expect him to be overly creative, but he shows zero interest in anything artistic. Yay for L's eyes too.
Katie, hope all is well. You don't need me to tell you that bleeding at this stage is very common. And OMG what was your DH thinking telling you what you should and shouldn't eat when preg and in the midst of morning sickness!! Does he know nothing lol??
Clare, could you get some sort of clip for the carseat so the straps are clipped higher up on her chest so she can't wriggle her arms out as easily? That sounds really annoying

TBH, i'm glad its been pushed back, oddly enough.

AFU: we have been stuck inside all day with the rain. Alex is refusing day naps, Jack only had a short nap. Been a long day. & after a long night.
I have been told that kids idolise their dads, but I had no idea how much!
All day DS kept patting his bum saying 'William bum, Dada bum'. I thought it was a bit odd, then DH got home and DS ran over to him and started pointing at his bum saying 'Dada bum' a million times. As far as I can figure the kid is absolutely thrilled that he has a bum because his dad has one too!!
When we moved from our company house, we kept the lease until tomorrow so we could have a weekend to go back and clean. Last week a guy from another company house came and TOLD DH we would be out by Friday so they could move in, to which DH said no, and then the guy told DH to shift the stuff from the garage inside so they could put their furniture in the garage, again DH said no. On Friday I got the carpets cleaned and left the windows open so the house didn't get smelly. When DH went around on Saturday, they had broken in through one of the windows and started moving their stuff in!!! How fricken rude is that! Today when we went around the garage is completely full of their stuff -despite DH telling them that they couldn't move in this weekend they hired a van and trailer and moved anyway! I just can't believe how cheeky it is!

AFM: well leila found out that dolly wears nappies...so now we have her changing nappies with wet wipes and all! soooo funny! she also gives dolly a massage by shaking the oil bottle over her and then rubbing it in! LOL! too cute.
we also went out and bought a potty today. i needed an excuse to go to baby bunting...love that place with the play area for the kidlets.
Clare, too cute about the dolly! I am so amazed at the difference between boys and girls. Nope, no removalist problems, they only live three houses down and just hired a van/trailer.
Where is MD?? I am guessing her anatomy wasn't as helpful as planned, hope she is doing o.k.
girls- some ***** tried to light us on fire last night. 5 hectares of sherbrooke forest is gone. we're alive and well though, quite shaken though as he has had about 3 failed attempts in the last week.

been very busy planning the wedding as well as this house has been the plague house lol weve all been really sick..
also ashas dioreah was diagnosed as cryptosporidiosis that bug u get from drinking tap water (even tho she dosnt drink untreated water) probably from a swimming pool ive been told.. now tho ive had to pull her out of childcare coz dept of health said i cant have her in while shes got it and theres no sign of it really ending.. usually it only goes for a few weeks but poor ashas had this for months now so we are trying to get it all sorted out for her..
as well as that ive been really sick and wasnt able to eat or drink really so then i started panicking about bub and had to have a scan lol everything was fine tho.. that lady also guessed boy but wasnt able to get a good shot due to me not being able to fill up my bladder coz i was so dehydrated..
anyways ive gotta go im halfway through making invitations and its really late to not have sent them yet..
hope everyones going well!! especially md hope the surgery went well and ur being well looked after now!!
oh noni- poor ash, shame you have to pull her out of cc too when you're feeling so sick.

So tired today, all last week I have had to cuddle Logan to sleep. I think it is just his teeth but it is frustrating. Last night he was especially difficult and didnt go to sleep until 8.40pm and woke at 5am. Hopefully the tooth is through soon. Dont seem to have any morning sickness today and didnt have any yesterday afternoon when it is normally really bad, trying to not to worry.

rainy i was thinking of you last night when u saw sherbrooke was on fire - so glad they controlled it and you are ok. i am glad your dh is pulling his finger out a little, i think he is in for a bit of a shock when the little one arrives... from talking to others with 2 or more they say that the biggest change is how much the dad has to do... i am lucky my dh is so hands on now... yours wll just have to do more for you and L... you wont be able to do it all anymore

afm all is well, been CRAZY busy but all good. have my 20 wk scan today - sooooooooo excited! i am getting big and obv preg now which is exciting too. N has been so clingy lately... but totaly delicious. it is such a wonderful age, i keep saying that though so i guess it is always a good age now???!!!
better go.. but will be on more this week.

Rainy: so relieved to hear that you guys are ok. i saw on sunrise that some ppl were evacuated from the dandies so am happy that you guys are AOK. ooohh an OB appt! hopefully they will be more positive today! and like sherie said, things can change soo rapidly when the bubs decide it's time. i have also heard that with subsequent bubs they tend to only really engage on the day or during! cheeky little monkeys!

Arte, that's so arrogant of them to think that it would be OK to do that. We actually had the problem in reverse when we brought this place. We told them that we wanted to be in before the 21st of Feb (which was Lindsay's EDD), so if they could be moved out by then it would be great. We started moving stuff in on Feb 15 as they said we could as they were on holidays etc and they still had nearly everything they owned in the house!!!! Admittedly it was all packed into one room mostly except for the large stuff like a buffet and lounge suite, but OMG it made me wild and let me tell you, a woman who has less than one week to go of her first pg, in stinking hot weather is not someone you mess with! Apparently they decided that they would have an extra week's holiday, I mean why would you do that when you know you have to be vacated by a certain date? In the end we were finally moved in on the 18th, their stuff was still there so we're moving all our stuff around their stuff and they came on the 19th to get it all - I had a show later that morning so we were off to hospital to be checked and I stayed in and DH came home and helped them shift their stuff out cause I'd had enough. Luckily he was born the next day and I came home to a house that my gorgeous MIL (yeah they do exist ROFL) had set up for me with DH's help.
Noni, that's awful for her :( I hope now you know exactly what it is that you can get on top of it now and that it doesn't last too much longer. Glad to hear that you and the bubs is OK though.
Katie, try not to think about the m/s OK, it could just be a lull and you'll have it back with a vengeance soon :hug:

AFM - Well S has taken to nose diving off the couch arm onto the cushions and loving it. Shes freaking out me out completely. The eyeteeth are giving her crap and I'm hating this heat. Oh and yep my new bestie that I met up here is moving to Gladstone. I met her at swimming lessons and shes got a little girl the same age as Sarah. I call her my soul sista because we just click on nearly every level. Shes not sure when shes leaving but financially it makes sense for her to move closer to where her DH works. I actually had tears in my eyes when she texted me the news.

well the scan went fantastically - so happy!! all is where it should be and the little one was moving around like mad!! gorgeous! it feels so real now... hmmm nots ure if i will reveal the gender just yet, not bc i want you all to wait but once i put it out there i may not be able to contain myself with keeping it quiet generally!
the stories you all have about them jumping on and off things i must say i cant relate, my lttle man STILL isnt walking and so i am spared those sorts of heart attacks!!! i think he is getting closer but he def isnt in any hurry!

OK, well ladies I'm ba-ack! Still feeling a little the worse for wear and I just ate a scone that I probably shouldn't have but the nurses were lovely and keep stuffing painkillers - the good stuff - at me (I had a drain in ow ow OW) so all in all I'd say sore but not SORRY. Scored a huge plush leather-look box of Haighs on Sat, have opened the lid and inhaled a couple of times, DD1 keeps asking me if I want one (so she can have one too) but like I said, still regretting the scone = not ready for choc just yet. Katie it means you can go double rations for a few more days, luv!
Leanne - OMG lucky for you only one of your twins is a talker - can you imagine two going at once :o?! LOL

Rainy, I hope you got your acupuncture appt ok. If not I'll buy a $45 plane ticket and fly over and stick a few needles in for you :p. hehe. Had plenty of practice on Fri, it took two anaesthetists 45 mins and 9 goes to find a vein. In the end I offered to do it myself (nah only joking, Boss of the Hospital did it). So my needle skills are exceptionally well-honed right now ;). Anyway, I think you won't be needing it soon. xxx

Kate - that is horrible horrible Gladstone news. My DH hails from Gladstone and I do everything humanly possible to avoid the place. All the more reason for your soul sista to visit you just as often as she can!

Rainy, we did have a few 8 hour nights but of course as soon as I put it on here good old Karma interferred lol. Basically we have had to resort to what is probably some form of comforted crying. I won't feed him overnight anymore and for the most part he will stay asleep or just need a pat or sometimes I have to pick him up and sing (how he sleeps through that is beyond me!!!). We have had a couple of bad nights where he has woken at 3am wanting a feed and it has taken me an hour of cuddling, singing, rocking and pacing to get him back to sleep - this is not helped by DH yelling at me that I have stuffed W's sleeping patterns for life, it is all my fault and my BS ideas aren't fixing it. Grrr. Despite what he thinks, it is working - last night he woke at 9.30pm and then slept until 5.30am which is a massive improvement.
MD, yay to see you back!! Hope you are feeling o.k (or at least have a good fistful of drugs!)
