Katie - big hugs to you (auntie??) - i totally get where you are coming from, ioftenfeel the same way - moreso being here than when i was in london bizarrely. is there anychance you will move back to syd at some point?

Andie - sounds like a fun day with your boys!

Well I had a BB dream last night - in it I was PREGNANT (!!) lOl - and had just started to feel my baby fluttering. I went to a morning tea (or was it a tupperware party) in Sale Vic and our good thread buddie Arte was there, handing around a plate of muffins. PMSL. I'm just sorry none of you other ladies made it to the morning tea, those muffins were goooood!
Noni - OMG I can't believe it's nearly tomorrow already!!! Don't know if you're going to be online at all but if you are, I'm thinking of you and hoping you have a gorgeous day tomorrow! I'm sooooo excited for you! Do you have everything all ready or are you hitting the flat panic stage?? LOL Make sure you post some photies ASAP - I bet little A will just look adorable.
Missy E has just leant to climb. She keeps insisting on standing up on the coffee table to dance. I can't think for the life of me where she gets the dancing-on-the-table tendencies from (*looks away and whistles a tune*). LOL
Katie, how is your sister going? Are you an aunty yet?
And how are you going Ange - still hanging in there, hun?
Ok, I'm schlepping around online cos I'm getting my boob lump needled today and so I need some distraction until then! I'm a bit of a nervous nellie these days. *sigh* It's probably just normal breast tissue like it has been every other time I've had it checked but these days I've got the c-word on the brain. I'm guessing it will be another week before I get the results so I'm really going to need to get out more! It might be time for some retail therapy LOL
ETA - Pregpan, that's so sad. I'm not sure there's anything you can do when someone loses someone except a hug, flowers, a thoughtful card. Telling your FDC lady you are thinking of her, acknowledge both of her losses, is probably all she needs right now. Except a casserole - maybe you could cook something and bring it to her - a really practical way of saying "we're here for you". xxx
PP - I was going to suggest the same as MD, cook her something. I think it's a lovely idea and a personal thing to do. Wow, $135 for baby shoes!
MD - good luck with the big needle. I've had that done a couple of times, it can be pretty stressful. can't believe I missed Arte's muffins!! good luck with FDC tomorrow
Katie - are you an aunty yet?
Noni - good luck for tomorrow, I hope you have a lovely time and it all goes very smoothly!!
Ange - I have everything crossed you find a place soon.
Sorry Arte, I disagree. Since they are teen romance the whole point of the story is anticipation. . So having to wait for the next installment just adds to the anticipatory flavour of the series !
Sherie and MD: as for my dream: well, when i say you were playing....Sherie took a shot, then i wandered off to see what one of our DHs was doing (they were manning the phones of the business*...pardon the pun). then when i wandered back to the pool table the two of you were sitting under the table and i *think* food and drinks were involved...
*not sure what the business was, had something to do with online orders and appeared to be booming. hmmmmm!
MD: mmmmm muffins....
good luck with the jabby jab today. i'd be wanting distraction too! maybe muffins.....
that is so cute of missy E!!! ha ha ha! although the climbing is always a bit hair-raising.
PP: it doesn't look good does it? hopefully she is with her family and they are trying to support eachother as best they can. i too recommend a card and maybe a cooked meal. just letting her know that you are there and can be a shoulder is sometimes enough.
xx hope that you are doing ok too. being a mum and pg really brings stuff like this home.
Oz: oh i sooo KWYM about being far from family for important moments! i hate it as well. for us it was the bummer of mum missing out on Leila's birth and only being able to stay for a week. i get soo jealous of the mums in my group IRL that have their mum/dad around to offer support and free babysitting services. this was really brought home last week having mum there. she is such great support and having someone around that is family is just different IYKWIM.
AFM: all good here. L's conjunctivitis is clearing up. although the pharmacist gave us the ointment rather than the drops and i am finding it really tricky to apply.
L's fav word of the week is 'DONT'. quickly followed by "STOP". uurrghhhh. usually when i have gotten the wrong book or she is bored of the book we are reading. fuss pants that she is.
we had a great moment last night when the sky opened up and we had heavy solid rain (the first in months). leila looked really perplexed and seemed a bit disconcerted at the noise on the roof so i took her outside (she was already in her PJs!!) and we danced in the street under the rain. it was just awesome awesome fun!
First thing Alex does this morning after seeing Jack on his bike is go & bring his bike in!
Sorry, no personals ATM, my mind isn't exactly with me
Think I have found a Sol in regards to family matters ... his advice, i don't have to give my ex nothing ATM (in regards to having the boys overnight, esp for the week he is asking for) & when he rings, tell him i want a legal aid conference & then I am to contact the Sol back
PAP, that is incredibly sad about your FDC lady. How horrible, especially having lost her own child to a similar thing.
MD, how did the needle biopsy go? Is this the same lump you had looked at when we were preg? Maybe you are tuned into me somehow, I think I have had slight flutters from my bub the past couple of days. As for muffins, I can bake them but chose not to - I hold a grudge from a time when we were given muffins at a nerd-meet at school (for extra exams I was sitting!!!) and I ate a banana one that made me feel ill as soon as I ate it and then a while later I vomitted right in the middle of computer class. It was incredibly embarrassing and I have held it against muffins ever since lol
Noni, ONE MORE SLEEP!! So excited for you, can't wait to see some pics.
Katie, I know exactly how you feel. The day my cousin/best friend had her baby daughter I cried and cried, because I wasn't there to share any of it. It is important times like that when it really hits home how much you miss living away from family. But on the flipside, you get a fantastic lifestyle on the GC, you would have to sell your soul to be that close to the beach in Sydney.
LOL at you all savouring the rain! You can have some of ours. It is flipping cold and it snowed on the mountain yesterday. The other day I hung out the washing but it rained so I bought it in, then it got sunny again so I put it back out only for it to start raining 10 minutes later. So I put it in the dryer and then it cleared up for the rest of the day. Grrr.
lol arte you are so funny!!!! holding a grudge against a muffin! i must say some of my closest friends are muffins....YUM! though lets face it it is just a healthy word for cake - do you have an issue with them too????!! ha ha ha!! ilaughed at your washing antics too - man some of you are off the scale on the dom goddess scale - i realised this motning the SAME washing is on the line that my cleaners hung out last week (i have runout each morning to grab something but haventtaken it down!!) - if it rains at my place the washing is just lucky enough to get an extra rinse. i am a nightmare!!!!!!!!
Arte: your washing antics remind me of when lived in Fiji. we would rush out to hang the washing when we saw a patch of sunlight and then run out a few minutes later when it began bucketing down. unfortunately with electricity being a premium we didnt have a dryer...
also within about 10 minutes of hanging your clothes mould would start to form across the peg line on your clothes, so gross.
PP: i hear ya babe. DH went out last night to take in last weeks washing that i had TOTALLY forgotten about LOL! oh geez i am bad sometimes.\
Andie: sounds like things are really getting serious up there. hope that it all goes smoothly and you guys can find some peace with a good decision for the boys. xx
Well then Arte, in that case I know what flavour baby you are having - i saw it in my dream LOL! PMSL at the Muffin Incident - you gave up the muffins but I bet you still indulge in the nerd-meets!!! Speaking of which, are you a totally HUUUUGE fan of the Beauty and the Geek? First ever girl geek on the series that is currently showing here - we are devotees in this house.
Clare, I reckon I could match you one for one on the mould horror stories - from living in Darwin. Which is like one huge Fijian island except with mangroves and man-eating crocodiles where there should be gorgeous glistening reefs LOL. Of course we pegged our laundry up underneath the house, but that was dangerous too on account of the pointy-nose mosquitoes who all lurk under there in the shade.
I'm so bad I haven't done a single load of laundy since we moved here. . Serves DH right for being such an eager beaver.
Andi, well done on getting yourself a Solicitor. Hope it's a positive process for you. xxx
ah yes you are right MD no man eating crocs in fiji...but we did have man eating mozzies. i swear, some nights i really needed a blood transfusion just to make it through. and there is NO WAY that you can survive the heat of a mosquito net.
Oh and i seldom do the washing here either...DH is in like flynn, while lady dame gradually crawls out of her bat cave and prepares herself a cup of tea in the morning.
I am finally an aunty!!!!!! Yay
eta It is a little baby girl, no weights etc yet. My sis said when they took her down to the labour ward she was 9.5cm already so was only in there for about an hour. Her name is Lillian Josie.
Congrats Ozstar!! Yay, sounds like everything went well. Bub must have been ready to make an entrance!
MD, tell me what I am having!! No Beauty and the Geek here, we only just got T.V again and it is only one fuzzy channel lol Sadly I would love to have a nerd-meet but I don't know any here. I had finally found an equally nerdy group in Brisbane to hang out with just before I left. I find associating with chemists greatly increases my chance of finding nerds lol
PAP, yes the grudge does extend to cake, I am more of a biscuit and slice person now lol
Yay, congratulations Katie - that's great work by your sister. Lillian is a very pretty name too. as well because I'm sure you had another cry when you heard the news.
Arte - my lips are sealed - hehe. Can you be a pure science nerd and believe in psychic dream phenomena at the same time? LOL One of my best friends around the corner is a chemist - well a pharmacist anyway. Does that count?
ETA - all good on the lumpy boob situation. Normal (lumpy) boobie juice making tissue!
Katie- Congrats Aunty. Oh just realised that your baby is due on My Birthday... yipppeee
MD- Thats good news on the boobie
Art- Congrats too on the TV
Noni- Hope you have a truley wonderful day.
Well Livi has her dermatitis back and is on AB's as well as her cream poor thing looks like she is getting more teeth. She was up a bit last night too crying. I swear everyday now she comes out with more words... Definatly a chatterbox...lol The boys are great ATM and as for me althought the cough is lingering around me am really happy with life.
Hey I wonder if Noni's married yet (*hums Duh duh da daaaah, Duh duh da daaaaaah....*) Of course she won't be reading but we're thinking of you sweets!!!
Leanne, good to hear you are so happy. We all need to be happy!! Livi's dermatitis must be pretty bad if she's on ABs too. Poor little thing. Hopefully she'll get those gnashers thru in record time, one less thing to bother her.
just a quickie from me as i am about to log off and head off on my HONEYMOON!! although having my dear gorgeous daughter coming along may take some of the shine off the honey part LOL! we'll see how it pans out! LOL!
Oz: congrats to your sis for birthing her baby girl! and welcome to the world little Lillian!
Noni: hope you have a beautiful day and can't wait to hear all about it!
Leanne: good to hear that your spirits are up despite the persistent cough! poor livi with the dermatitis! i used to get it and eczema really bad as a child.\
Arte: i am an all sorts of sweets fan LOL! wish i could be more discerning!
