sorry have been a bad baby buddy. crap time at home lately with my grandmother. long story and no happy endings me thinks. so have been rather preoccupied...
Sherie: oh wow. for you to be going to cot tactics to get mr A to bed, you guys must have been really rattled with the snot-fest. hope that sleep comes soon and recovery is well on the way, cause it so doesn't sound like fun ATM for you guys xx
Arte: that is a big step! WTG w!!
Rainy: so sorry to hear that mr j is not well, as in, really yukky sick. not fun times i guess. i can also vouch for putting him in the bouncer while you enjoy a nice LONG HOT shower. the steam really does wonders...and it's a good mummy excuse for ignoring the water restrictions LOL!
PP: oh i do kinda remember the crazy boob-milk thing! i remember that for weeks everytime i would bend over they would let down and i would do my best impression of niagra falls. no one ever told me that in the breast-feeding class they hold at the JJMH!!
so, with robson away did you get Hare? (i think that was his name...). i got him, pity was that i was in no mood for jokes when he arrived and he cracked one about how 'inconvenient of me' to actually go into labour overnight (he told me that we would wait 2 days then induce after my waters broke), as he was being served breakfast in bed for fathers day. in hindsight i see that he meant to lighten the mood, but hey, when you are pushing a baby out there is no lightening possible LOL!
noni: although i havent been there yet, i can only imagine that growing a brand spanking new person and raising a toddler is hard yakka. i can remember being so TIRED and feeling so useless when pg with Leila...and i didnt have a toddler to contend with! so i reckon it is totally normal and within normal expectations that you get frustrated and worried about it xx
MD: *mwah* my mum reckons that she too had a pang in her heart when i was 9 and got my ears pierced (i had this thing that i NEEDED to be like kylie minogue....???). and you are soo right, there are so many new bubbas in our thread!!! my inner hen is going bonkers LOL!
AFM: well as i mentioned got really crapulent news about my Oma last night. basically my Opa is in mass denial about how sick she is and has been telling us (and himself me thinks) that if he looks after her really well and gets her fit enough that she can have this operation. turns out there is no operation. the hospital will not do it anymore as she just wouldnt make it. he hasnt told her (she is currently experiencing a nervous breakdown...). we dont know how to tell her as she is convinced that the op is the only cure for her - and she may have a point. i am devastated. i am very close to my grandparents as they raised me for 3 years and have been a very big part of my life so far, and to see this coming is very hard. and as usual i am the one that everyone looks to for answers. and i just dont have them.
beh, anyway, mum is coming up there with me as i dont think i could cope on my own and we are putting an action plan in place to reduce all the high pharmaceuticals that she is on and transfer alot of the 'unnecessary' ones to naturopathy and a healthier diet. at least it is something!
i am also a bit nervous as it will be the first time away from Leila! but i WILL enjoy the sleep-ins!!
