G, I'm with Jazah on that one - self settling will happen eventually. This time round I don't give a flying toss about day sleeps, just let me sleep at night lol. How are things going with your friend with the girl that is a bit rough?

JaZaH, I might invest in some gutsuckers after this bub is out - never went back to normal after W and I suspect that more babies doesn't do any magic for the tummy muscle tone. Cute about Z's comment, lol that she got extra icecream. How did your day with the how to dress lady go? Some of the mums at mothers group were talking about how they would love to do that.

MD, how is your assignment going? Not done yet? Why are you in here!!! Hope it is going well.

PAP, W was induced at 39+2 days. I suspect he would have come pretty close to the due date. I have just realised today that I have no idea what to expect for a natural labour - do you get some sort of warning or can it just start? Hope you are feeling better.

Trill, I hope he learns some tact at some stage, it is not a strong point atm.

Renee, R's rash sounds terrible. I hope it clears up soon.

DH has gone out spotlighting (possums, not buying fabric) and I am bored. I really should go to bed.

Arte- i was induced first time around and going into labour naturally was VERY different for me. So much better, more manageable, in fact i l really enjoyed it and can't wait to do it again. Mine just started at about 2am i started havin cx 10 min apart, not painful until 7am though. i had heaps of time, but she was posterior so that slowed things down a bit. As it is your second things can happen pretty quickly. I guess everyone is different. My cousins water broke and she had her little girl 4 hours later. (her second, first was 12 hours, induced). I can't wait to hear! Did i tell you Angela is a GREAT name.

    hi girls!

wow! new thread! so happy today as my internet is back up and running...and we don't have to pay for it this month!

gosh i have totally forgotten EVERYTHING from the last thread...

renee: great to hear from you again! and i agree with the others: scary stuff with the reaction.

PP: hope this mastitis exits the building babe. that cannot be cool at all. xx

Ange: i was thinking of you today...Leila has throat thrush LOL!!!!!! oh the joys. holbrook: bakery is fandiddlytastic. not a bad cuppa either.

Oz: all the house cleaning (read: nesting!) is certainly taking its toll lol!

Arte: labour for me started with G.U.S.H....

G: that is SO FRIKKIN COOL on the sleep front! you must be so stoked! how is L today? we are still in battle zone.

noni: glad that you can see the sunshine again xx and awesome that both you and W are getting a pattern going. must be such a weight of your shoulders to see him thriving again.

AFM: well our weekend from hell continues. leila broke out in a mouth full of ulcers and blisters that went all the way to her throat (and across her tongue) to the point where her cheeks swelled. i thought it was hand, foot and mouth...turns out that she got a bacterial infection probably caused by the now 5 teeth cutting through (there has been blood!!) and has now got a very nasty thrush infection in her throat. so we are on a mega regime of 4 times a day drops to clear it up. the poor baby is on a diet of COLD food and ice-cream and yet she still screams in agony. pretty distressing stuff i must say. but at least now we know what we are fighting...

other big news is that the sleeping bag is gone! leila told me last night that she was a big girl and didnt need it...so weird when i go in there and see her lying in her cot without it...ahhh another passing of time...

oh no clare, that sounds horrible. give her a big scoop of strawberry ice cream from her aunty ginger.

arte- the 'nasty' girl has completely transformed and is now quite sweet. tbh, i think it was a case of her being in love with him. can't blame the girl really they're back to being best friends again and haven't had a fight in ages so hopefully it was just a stage she went through. i still keep my eye on her but she seems to have completely turned around which is ace.

heading off to the dr now, bbl xoxxoxox

clare - move some of those pics into our group - aunty pregpan is missing out!!! I hope she is doing better soon, that sounds SO awful - poor little thing (and you). keep your hands out of her ice cream mumma!!!
Arte - eahc of my labours has started differently. Noah my waters broke and then it was all on immediately with cx about 1 min apart and INTENSE!!! he was born 3.5 hrs later. with J i started having cx not too intense and about 8 mins apart and then 10 hours later he was born. I guess i had 'warning' with both of them in diff ways. with N i had already dilated 3cm (ob found this in an exam) so i knew when it happened it would happen iykwim. with J i had a lot of mucous the night before - constatly - so i knew something was happening even if i didnt know when. when the cx started iw asnt sure bc it wasnt too much and not too full on but something was def different that night to others.
G - how was dr, hope L is OK
oh better go - J is awake and needs booby!! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

oooh PP! of course you cannae see them!!!!!! I'll pop em over right now!

blergh not feeling crash hot today. hope i'm not getting throat thrush!

Ange: thanks for the insight into what leila is feeling. i had a look at her throat yesterday and it def looks swollen. i feel so sorry for her. but she LOVES the nilstal drops (cherry flava!).

oh and that's the other thing...i need good tips for food for her. obviously i dont want it all to be yoghurt and ice-cream . much to leila's disappointment. so was thinking of pureeing sweet potato and potato etc...i guess fruit is mostly outta the question due to the acids...i am stumped well and truly...
