Hi Kath - sorry I rarely go on BB. Are you feeling better lovely? I'm sorry you're feeling so down, please remember this, you are absolutely beautiful and tell anyone who says or makes you feel otherwise to go stick it where the sun don't shine! I can understand you feeling like you do, I'm not in a good head space myself at the moment but just remember we're all here for you and we all love you. Anytime you want to chat call me, I'll send you my number over FB xxxx
I know when I was sick with Harry DP wasn't as touchy because he was worried he'd hurt me or make me vomit. I had to tell him it was ok when I started to get better. Maybe he's being extra careful with you too.
As for the glamma mum at work, suck it all in maternity undies???? I didn't know there was such a thing! I don't know that they would be particularly healthy, or comfy And she's going to regret the heels! Bad enough when your postures no all up the creek with a growing baby! Like Hannah said people are rude sometimes, and how good does she look with out the paint, heels and suck it in undies?
OH man you just made me giggle at my desk. Thanks for the sunshine girls.
Yep... suck it all in undies... and yea, she looks like poo when she is not on camera....
you guys are awesome. Big Hugs xoxoxox
Great stuff!... I came home and DH had a meal in the oven as well as candles and apple pie... WHAT THE!... he totally down played the whole event and said that he made me dinner last week but there were candles on the table!.... I can not figure this guy out.... why not take advantage of the situation? and turn it into something romantic? but no..... I am not being hard on him. I seriously thought that what he did was fantastic but there was just.....no romance! No love! no connection... we talked about kids and work (we work at the same place) I just want to have my DH back to the man I had 5 yrs ago...
Sometime life gets in the way I think Specially in rough times. I'm sure you guys will come full circle and be back to romance, you just need to navigate through this bumpy patch. I think once you're better, he'll be relieved and start to go back to his old self. He's probably worried about you (they don't always know what to do with these emotions you know LOL) and stressed about it the kids probably pick up on stuff and go a bit haywire too which will stress you two even more...You said he's shy too, well that makes it harder for him I'm sure.
Go Andy. At least he did do something nice even if the romance was lacking. I agree with willow in that he's probably just worried about you. Hopefully there'll be more opportunity for romance on your night out.
I'm finding that it takes a little to work up to romance. Like tonight, DH and I actually sat down and ate dinner together at the table with DD for the first time in ages (we're terrible for eating in front of the telly). It was great to actually talk over a few of the issues that have come up in the last couple of days and I realised that we are actually on the same page. But life gets in the way and I feel disconnected from him at times. Now that we've ironed out those things it leaves a little more room for romance next time we get some time together. Not sure if that helps you or not (or even if it makes sense - it's past my bedtime). Basically, marriage with small kids is bloody hard work!
Very bloody hard work!!! There's a lot of disconnection here too. Sometimes I feel like we're just "getting through" the day, weeks geez months! Waiting. Waiting for Harry to wake up, waiting for Harry to sleep, waiting for Harry to sleep all night (pffft) ... Not good really need to work on some connecting, thank you girls for reminding me!
Hey kanda I was going to suggest that when you and DH go out next, make a deal that kids and work are off limits for discussion. Make it a night about the 2 of you.
Thanks willow. I'm rather pleased with how it turned out.
oh god, now thats a scary thought.. we met at work and have changed networks with work together (skynews to 9 to 7 ) But nevertheless I have booked my mum for Friday night and the kiddies will not need to be picked up untill Sat Morning... aahhhh BLISS! see whata happpens..
I did mention to him before I left for work that if he wanted to get some romance in than yesterday was perfect and I said how I did not understand why he downplayed the whole situation... I even said that the candles were beautiful and all he said was that ' we ran out of candles during the last blackout so I thought i should get some more....! ' my god man! go all the way!!!!
Hi Kath. I'm a bit late weighing in but it's not easy to post at the moment. It sounds like Andy is trying despite his inability to admit it! He's probably feeling a bit down for all the same reasons as you. Men are such fixers and he may feel like he's got no ability to improve things for you at the moment in terms of pregnancy, health issues, kids etc. It might be why he's focusing on the house. It's something he can control and fix for you. It's so easy to feel disconnected in the chaos and monotony. I just about wanted to throw DH's iPhone into the harbour recently. Either that or dress up as an iphone to get some attention! He's been that glued to it lately. Anyway a night out will do you good. And don't worry if you only have kids and work to talk about. That's our lives at the moment and it's what you have in common. There's nothing wrong with that.
Tilda well said about him focussing on the house! He can fix the mess etc but can't fix Kanda, you hit the nail right on he head.
Hope your DH has removed himself from his iPhone now!!
