We are hot mammas LOL and yet through all this our DH's/DP's seem to stick around, not sure about you all but after each bubba DH cant keep his hands off me, he keeps asking if we "can" yet, im like i may not be broken like i was with the boys but you aint going down there until its stopped and i can wash down there without the feeling of being achy or sore, he been lucky and got other action but im not fussed as ive not been feeling like dtd anyway......he'll just owe me big time when im ready LMAO

I noticed there is no smell anymore so must of been my slippers/feet i could smell - embarrased LMAO

Bad night number 2 here (last night the worse) - glad its over and praying she sorts out her day night routine fast, not sure if i can function normally much longer if she keeps it up, just hope its a growth spurt and not a routine she has in play lol

Little_O - hope you got sleep and your DD didnt play up to much lol

Dantri - i had the "sweats" last night - was horrible, like you if i strip down im freakin cold as....no win situation, guess we all just have to "ride" it out and hopefully it stops soon xo I too am looking forward to feeling "normal", its the only issue i really have.

oh here we go again.....Alana is stirring in her bed, please stay asleep, i love ya but i need the break especially after last night......

Well last night wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. She still went 3 hour feeds, so at least it was 2 hours of sleep between...
I find she is just getting cuter an cuter each day. She is a real smiley thing and you can see excitement in her eyes when she sees you :)
Apparently we are out of the wonder week now so she should be More settled this week. Fx!

Dantri: how is your bub going? I've been meaning to ask how you have adjusted to having a girl, seeing we were both shocked lol! I am completely in love :) just cringing when we get given tuelle covered dresses lol

BR: is ds2 giving you a boobie break yet? Is he growing fast?

Naomi: lol to your dh being ready to go! How long does it normally take to feel normal there again. I feel all healed, just don't know if I am iTMS.

She woke 2hrs later for a feed and then went to sleep and then woke an hour later, but had some wind and wanted a cuddle, currently in her bassinett sleeping!! but the boys are playing up, have spent some time with them, but as soon as i walk away or do something else they play up again (especially ds2)!!!
Damn it spoke to soon, can hear her stirring....

Little_O - Glad to hear last night wasnt to bad for you!! Alana has started to smile (without it being wind)! Sounds soooo cute about her being excitedto see you, cant wait for that part xoxo
as for being ready down there - you can go for it at any stage you are ready aslong as your well equipped, meaning lots of foreplay and lube and taking it slowly atleast the first couple of times, if it starts to hurt or get uncomfortable at any stage STOP. With ds1, it took about 4-5wks post birth to go there (but i had 3rd degree tear and a reopened wound that needed to be packed everyday), with ds2 it only took 2-3wks (had a 2nd degree tear), both times we waited til the bleeding stopped for a few days prior just to make sure.....im more hesitant this time round and im not sure why, i got 1st degree tear but no stitches and i think thats what maybe is holding me back (besides im still bleeding a little), i think im scared that it hasnt healed properly and that dtd will open it up as i have no stitches holding it together (if that makes sense)
with DS1 - it hurt like loosing my virginity again, with ds2 we learnt and used lube and went slow, didnt hurt at all........hoping when we finally do it (im thinking of atleast waiting til 3wks post birth before attempting it) its the same and doesnt hurt

Little_o - yep he's settled into a better nursing pattern now and my boobs have settled too. He's put on a kilo in 4 weeks. Makes my heart explode to know that all that kilo of baby goodness came from me. Also, better on him than on me!!! Hehehe

Naomi - omg Your after birth healing sounded horrific for your first birth!! No wonder it hurt so much DTD!! I WISH DH wanted to dtd but he is on medication that Has lowered his libido. That and the pregnancy means that we haven't dtd since march! :wall:

AFM - visited work today with L.. I wore him in my moby wrap the entire time. Was great! Then popped over to DH's work which is across the road so he could show L off to his work colleagues. L was so exhausted from this morning that he's been napping for the past 2 hrs! I've managed to make nacho mince for dinner tonight. I should have taken a nap too.. Ah well.

yeah it was horrible, i was in hossy for 5 days post birth, then came home, had feeding issues so hossy lady focused on that when she came out first time, then when she came the next time - 3 days since coming home - she checked my stitches and saw it had reopened and had to go back to hossy to get it checked and packed, then a RDN would come out everyday for the first week to pack everyday and then every 2nd day on the 2nd week, every 3rd day so on by week 4 i was "healed"
Hugs about not dtd, hopefully you'll get some action soon, is the medication full time? if only a temp thing maybe once it stops he'll be back to "normal"? if its a permanent thing then maybe he should speak with a dr about it?
Yay to showing off ds2!!! love those moments, hope u can get in some rest while he is still sleeping!!!

Naomi you poor thing! My friend had a similar experience. She had to go in everyday too.

Im way too scared to even contemplate DTD anytime soon!! I had an epi which resulted in 2nd degree. Stitches are gone except I popped a stitch on day 3. I felt really good and moved around too much with all the visitors we had. There was nothing that needed doing just takes longer to heal. It was only ever that bit that hurt really. I checked yesterday and it is healing really well but no way am I ready to let DH anywhere near it until it is well healed! I'm still bleeding anyway. Freaked me outnwhen i saw how big the hole is though eek! I do miss the intimacy though. I soooo wasn't up for it when pregnant even though we did it a few times in the last week or so of pregnancy as an induction method it wasn't the same itms. I'll take the advice though for when we are ready to go there again. :)

Hi lovely ladies - sorry I have been MIA - am in the children's hospital as little miss has bronhiolitis which she got from a virus which DD1 and DS had. Was very scary as she got slowly sick so I thought it was just going to be a cold.
Feeding stopped altogether as she was too weak to feed, couldn't express a single drop yesterday which apparently can happen when you get stressed. she only put on 40 grams since we left hospital, which I think she lost all her weight in the last two days before we came in - she was feeding all the time so I had no idea. No contact whatsoever from our local CHN so won't be wasting my time with her this time.

I have been able to just give her her first feed from me, and thank God I have motillium to keep my milk up or I would have had nothing.

Can highly recommend hydrogel breast pads for those with sore nipples as they are cheap AND actually work!
Will be in here for a little while so may be a bit lax at replying as only have my phone, but hope everyone is going well :)

We has a fantastic night last night - fed at 9pm then not until 3am and then again at 7am, with her back asleep within 25 minutes of waking for the feed. Soooooooo nice but I have no expectation that it will happen again anytime soon. Had a playday for DD2's kindy friends today so had four mums and 9 kids in the house! Crazy, noise and messy but my girl had just so much fun. I'm completely whacked now and hoping Miss A co-operates and spoils me with another good night

Yes, Im on here at a ridiculous hour!! X has decided its a 1.5-2hrly feed night tonight! :doh: AND to add to that, he's not content unless sleeping on my chest! All the while DP is snoozing his head off on the couch. I have visions of smacking him over the head, :o Lol.

Naomi - its anti depressant meds. So long term. Unfortunately low libido is a side effect. Our GP knows about it and DH is frustrated that our sex life isn't what it used to but I would prefer him to be proactive about getting help for his depression than anything else. So the GP monitors him closely (once every 6 weeks or so) and will scale down the meds if he thinks DH is coping. I guess we've had a few life changes over the past few years with the arrival of both of our boys so just when we think things are 'normal' again, something major happens! I'm a very patient wife!!

Mc - google wonder weeks. There is also an app for it too. Basically babies go through unsettled patches as they reach a mental developmental milestone. The first one is around 5-6 weeks and you can see a change in your baby as they go through this wonder week. Some more than others. Usually after the unsettled patch they have a really good week as they are more settled into a new 'life as they know it'. Yeah, but google it for more info.

AFM - frequent nursing overnight. 11:30, 2:30 and now 5:30am. This mama is tired!! Started using the infacol. Works so well, burps as soon as I hold him upright. He's also becoming a little Houdini and working his arms out of his wraps really quickly. But he likes being wrapped for settling to sleep. Annoying! Can't believe my littlest man is 1 month old today!!

Woohoo to miss Muffet! She did a 5 hour SLEEP stretch. I have had 5 hours continuous sleep for the first time in 6 weeks!!! Dh mumbled he feels like he's been to a day spa lol!

Sunshine: you poor things. Glad you got onto early, how scary. Is she improving? What could you do though, there are so many bugs this year!

Mc: I got the app, I think it's worth its $2. Pretty much a wonder week is when they go through a week of intense development and come out with changes/skill/s at the end of it. They can be unsettled for no reason, extra hungry, more clingy etc.

Dantri: I'm with you about being wary, guess it will happen sooner rather than later lol

Lulu: score with the extra sleep. You feel like a new woman lol! How are your other girls going with missA?

I got the wonder weeks app too! I am not sure if I agree with it yet as it goes on due date not born date so I am waiting for him to hit what they say should be the wonder week and I will see.

I think I have created a monster! DS has become very emotionally attached to his dummy. On a good note though he seems to have passed a point with his wind. Welcome back to my happy little baby :)

OK, so I googled wonder weeks and now have the app. Im with you Bubba, waiting to see. Aptly Xman has another 18days or so til he hits his first wonder week...

See I ended up putting her actual bd in because she came on her own accord and the paeditrician that saw her said she looked over baked!! So despite being technically 5 days early I think she was right. And the week fitted the signs from her:)

See I know my dates to the point of ridiculous, was charting, opk's the works. Now DS seems to be going with his Bday but the app would only put him at 3.2 weeks instead of 5.1 so I am confused lol

Sunshine - I have been wondering how you've been going. Poor DD, I was hoping that DS2's bug didn't spread. Oh poor lil girl and poor you, I know how stressful it is when they are sick, losing weight and no supply oh and being in hossy. Hope you've got some support to look after the other kidlets.... sending you all lots of super strength.

BR - I love that a kilo of mummy goodness!!! Well done.

Bubba - never mind about the dummy, you can deal with it another time, but for now just enjoy the reassurance it gives him.

Lulu - well done!!! Glad A likes her moby sling. RB doesn't mind the sling now after a few attempts.

AFM - well RB is still confused about day and night. She's mostly awake at night, feeds 2 hourly, if I am lucky, or just wants to cluster feed or be held. I am co sleeping with her in the spare bed, as it's the only way I get to rest. Cheeky monkey, is so restful and snoozy when beside me. It's nice but hard too. Mumma needs a touch more sleep. Or maybe I am just soft? I just know I am going to be in a world of hurt when DH goes back to work and I have to do everything with HB and RB. But I am still loving this, just ask me in a couple of weeks...LOL. I expect a LOT more tears then.

We are going away for a holiday with some fam next week.... I am looking forward to it. It's hard being away from my own set up but I am getting better at coping with that sort of thing and just making do. I am looking forward to chef cooked meals.... my BIL is a chef who just sold his restaurant and is at a loose end..... vlad the inhaler of food will welcome all donations.

Oh too funny - glad it was smelly silp slips and not whooha!

Oh and no sexies here until the 6 week check. No mind, it's just more of the same. DH has been pretty much in a drought since I was first pregnant ( given my history). Besides, it might be a tempting way for me to get #3 going and that's not fair, but soooooooooooo tempting).

I have been reading along just no time/energy to post! It's been a rough week or two here. Tongue tie + vasospasm + low supply = unhappy baby and unhappy mumma! We spent a few days at Qe2 here in the ACT trying to get feeding sorted and am now on motillium just waiting for it to kick in, in the meantime, lots of expressing and top ups of formula when we need it! Feel like a dairy cow but J has put some weight back on and is a lot happier so it's worthwhile. I reckon we are getting close to a smile here. I can't wait for the real thing!

Sunshine - sorry to hear your little one has been sick. I hope she's on the mend :hug: These hydrogel pads you are talking about, are they cold to use? They sound good but if they are cold they are a no go for me as cold is vasospasm's best friend and my worst nightmare!

Hi lovelies -thanks for all your kind words - we are still in hospital and even though we dropped down oxygen levels this morning (which is good as it means we were closer to being off it and off home) she has struggled this afternoon. DH is home with both kids, house is apparently a mess with my DD wetting the bed I sleep in which no doubt won't be washed. Amazing how when I look after both kids all the cleaning washing and cooking gets done, yet when he does, nothing happens!
Hotaru - I have vasospasm on one side and they make no difference to that side. They are only cold of you put them in the fridge (which I don't) otherwise they are room temp and warm to your body temp in seconds. Can't recommend them enough.
Not much else to report, moved to a really dark room right near the electric doors so am very unhappy as it's both dark and noisy. Glad my little one is OK though and makes me appreciate my kids being healthy as I have seen some very sick babies in here. Hopefully home by the weekend and I can start posting again :)

Been MIA as i dont seem to have time for anything. Been home form hospital for 3 days and all the good feeding and sleeping we did there has gone out the window. well, he still feeds fine and he generally is good and not really a screamer, but we had a shocker last night (more on that later)

Can someone tell me what vasospasm is?? Sorry if it was covered ealrier, but there is just no way I can catch up on a whole months posts.

Sunshine - so sorry your little one is not well. You must have been beside yourself with worry. Fingers crossed you go home soon and she is back to normal.

I cant see back passed a couple of posts unfortunately and I am about 5 minutes from bed (yes, at 7pm!) so I will just say that I hope everyone is doing well. You all seem to have this first month-6 weeks thing all tied up. Yay! Maybe you can all give me some advice for J. I am only a week into this parenting stuff and could use some comforting words and encouragement.

I was doing really well and feeling so confident since J got here but last night was awful. I was in tears for fear something really bad was wrong with J. He had a marathon feed (longest so far) and then projectile vomitted all over the place. All over me, the bed, and himself. There was so much. PLus, all afternoon it sounded like there were cats fighting in his stomach and watery poo and a funny yellow/green colour even though there was not much to speak of. I called the hospital and they told me to watch him after the next feed or so and bring him up if he got a temperature or did it again.
THen he kept waking during the night more than usual and more grissly and feeding more. I was a bit scared to let him feed too long in case he vomitted again. Today he has been all out of sorts and wanteing to feed more often and not wanting to sleep (if my mum says to me one more time 'give him the dummy' I am going to scream!!) and only sleeps on me or DH. I am so tired I just want to sleep but he is being so unsettled.

I know this is totally a me me me post but I really dont know what to do. Will it pass? Should I be worried that he will never want to sleep in his bed again and is he feeding too much? Last night I got to the point where I didnt even know what side i was up to. I am so tired and I just want to know he will be ok and that he will go back to his usual 4 hour sleep, feed, 3-4 hour sleep, feed.

btw....did someone say something about getting started on no.3 already ??? dear sweet jesus ! i am beside myself with one little guy and getting my head around it all.

oh yeah, and I told my mum that some people (DH's family and friends in Turkey) call him Baran and I call him Jesse and DH calls him both and she said with a uppity look on her face 'he's going to get very confused'. give me a break. He is going to be bi-lingual. I reckon he can figure out who calls him what and why. Geez, has she never called anyone by a nickname before or even a cute pet name when they are little.

Sorry. tired. grumpy. crabby. i need sleep.

He was completely upright when it all came out. We had just come off the breast for a burping break and it all came out. He does the usual posset vom but this was a whole other thing.

I meant to elevate his mattress but we forgot. He was honestly fin until last night. He is so fussy today and wont sleep easily. It takes a few goes to get him to go down and then he wakes up after 2 hours. I thnk he is getting bad stomach cramps???? but I have no idea.

Community Nurse/midwife is coming at 9:30am tomorrow morning. I will be asking her for a miracle answer I think.

I try to sleep in the afternoons but not today as he didnt really go down. Was mostly walking and rocking him trying to get him to sleep. As soon as I put him in his bed he wakes up again. It has only been today he is like that. I really hope this is not the new norm....

CT - the tummy noises, explosive runny poos and vomiting are all part of the joys of newborn life. You may have eaten something that is upsetting his tummy - I've had three occasions now when I can trace back excessive pooing, unsettled etc to something I've eaten. Its all a bit trial and error unfortunately. Lexie has been very chucky over the last few days and big wind pains are only just starting to ease after a few weeks of being nasty for her. Otherwise it could just be normal newborn stuff. The early weeks/months are bloody hard work and a very steep learning curve for mums - whether its your first baby or your fifth. I practically begged the hospital to let me come back with DD1 I was so distressed. Hang in there. Its very early days for you but I promise you it will get so much easier and in no time you'll have it all under control. Sleep when Jesse sleeps, take help when its offered because sleep deprivation makes everything seem so much tougher

Just a quick post here….

Trying to catch up on some of the posts over the last week, these are the things that came to mind…

Dory – I am impressed that you had a long car journey with HB and kept her dry. Although DD1 is also toilet training (we have also been ec’ing for a while) I am still not brave enough to take her in the car without a nappy yet (every journey is at least an hour for us though).

Someone mentioned (a few days ago) about the nurse saying no co-sleeping. I found the same thing with DD1 – when I mentioned that she sometimes slept with us, the nurse gave me the biggest lecture, I tried to show her some of the info I had received on the benefits of co-sleeping (if you are interested – Pinky Mackay, Sarah Buckley), but she wouldn’t have it. She also lectured me about baby wearing too. When we began baby led solids, and then elimination communication, she thought I was a bit of a nutter, doing EVERYTHING “wrong”. (shakes head). Well, I am still doing it “wrong” (yep, co-sleeping, mostly on the lounge – well supported - as I can feed better slightly upright, and it’s warmer in front of the fire) and this time I didn’t bother with getting the nurse to come out either (I chose to drive an hour to the next town, that’s how much I thought of our local child health nurse.

Blood loss – yep, I am still bleeding a bit too. With DD1 I didn’t seem to bleed that much, but this time round, at least double. Having said that, I know it is nothing sinister, just me doing a lot (read too much), and a bit more to get over.

Night sweats – yep, can last for some women as long as night BF does. But for most women, it is part of still losing your fluid from when you were pregnant, usually stops after a few weeks (so I am told, but I am still “sweating strong”!).

Sunshine – hugs for you and your DD!!!! hope she is well soon!

CT – hugs. Sounds like he has wind? Greenish poo can mean (in BF babies) an imbalance with the foremilk/hindmilk. The foremilk is what gives them the gas/wind/runs and greenish tinge. When your milk supply settles it usually settles. Google something like green newborn baby poo foremilk and you should find some info. My DD2 had it, as my supply came in quick and fast and I was very engorged for a few days. Also, everything that Little O said would be my other suggestions.

CT: what Milly said about the foremilk/hindmilk was what i was going to suggest as well.

Also, did you end up having a c-section? Sorry cant remember this time of night...did they give you any antibiotics?
Some antibiotics can cause the pyloric stenosis.

Hopefully the nurse tomorrow can help and I hope he settles tonight for you. The not sleeping makes it the hardest. I'll check in on you when I am up feeding :)

Just wanted to say re fore/hind milk that the thinking has apparently changed on the level of importance attributed to this (cos we mummies haven't got enough to deal with without the supposed experts changing what's "right" on us every two minutes!!!). Miss A was having huge attachment problems and so the 3 LCs that I saw all told me that in the first couple of weeks I should switch her from breast to breast literally after two minutes (she wasn't attaching and gave up after the initial let down eased off). I commented at the time but she'll never drain a breast, get the hind water etc and was told that they no longer think that's a big deal at all, and that the only importance is for your own sake that the breast is sufficiently drained so that you don't get lumps forming, mastitis developing etc.

Definitely worth asking your CHN about when you see her tomorrow to get her opinion, but just putting it out there.

ETA: Just wanted to say that what Milly says is right - more foremilk will give green explosive poos, extra wind etc and while that's obviously not great and can be uncomfortable for bubs, its not going to stunt his growth or anything serious.

Again - sorry for being completely MIA! I have been super busy - DH has been on 2 weeks leave and it seems we haven't stopped! Lucky DD is a pretty settled bub as we seemed to have dragged her here, there and everywhere over the last few weeks. I'm on my mob, have tried to get on laptop for persies a handful of times, but every time I go to do this it seems DD is onto me and boycotts my plan! The only other time I get is when I'm expressing, hence this quick catch up via mob.

CT - my DD had the hugest vomit today too. I freaked out! She has been vomiting more frequently, but it doesn't seem to bother her, but today at playgroup as I was putting her in her capsule she did about 5 big heaves in a row :-( went all over my friends Lounge and there was a huge pool in DD car seat. She's had a feed since and didn't vomit so hopefully it was just a random thing!!! Have my 4 week GP appt tomoro so will mention it to doc.

OMG - I'm soooo glad these 'sweats ' have been mentioned ... I wake most mornings drenched to the point we've had to change the bedding during the night! Had no idea this is a normal post baby joy!

Just thinking re: dummy. First of all it's not recommended till 6 weeks of age for breastfeeding babies, so that your milk supply is sorted.
Also my MIL is obsessed with me giving dd a dummy. In the end I said to dh, look she barely cries and when she does she's hungry so has the boob. I've had mastitis 3 times, let my milk sort out and bottom line: she's our child, I get up for her, not his mum. It's not affecting her. If or when I decide to give her one that's up to us and it's our consequences!...not that I could say this to HER lol...

I am all for dummies...when and if she needs one!

Dummies are hard to get rid of once they have them too

Morning Ladies!

Well last night wasnt the disaster it was promising to be. He was still a little unsettled and had more awake time than usual ('usual' being based on a week of him being around!!) but generally was back to normal. The big difference was instead of eating at 5am adn then going back to sleep til about 9am he decided to stay awake til about 7:30am and now is asleep. I am hoping it means we are moving towards more sleep between midnight and 5am ???? you never know your luck in abig city, and one can only dream!!

I have to confess that I was really concerned he wasnt getting any hind milk and thats why his nappy was so full of water rather than poo, as we both fall asleep during a feed and then I dont know how much milk he has had before he fell asleep. Bad mummy. Lost track of which boob was next a few times and a couple of times he would stop because of pain or whatever and then I would put him back on the same boob 10 minutes later. Is that bad? I guess I can ask the nurse today. I hope she is a nice nurse and not judgy.

BubbaT - I have not given him a dummy (although I did buy some as back up) as I am petrified he will become attached to it and then I will spend the next 2 years having to go into his room 50 times a night for the 'put the dummy back in' scenario. Shame you are not allowed to strap stuff to their faces while they sleep. ;-) Its all about sleep for me :-) mine...rather than his. Not against dummies at all just think it wouldnt work well for me during the nights. Will definitely have some ready for if I need them along the way though.

Little O - thanks for the 6 week tip on dummies. Now I can just reply with that. I told my mum that if he is taking the dummy instead of feeding then he wont be getting as much as he needs during a feed. The last thing I want to do is mess about with these boobs and not get my milk sorted. In saying that, they have settled right down and seem to be doing their job, but I have really lumpy breasts and have some scar tissue in one from an op years ago, plus cysts and a fibroadenoma in amongst the scar tissue, so I am really worried about keeping a good milk supply as well as not being aware of and missing any 'issues' that might arise for me. I am a local at the Breast Clinic. I should get frequent flyer points.

Embo - Hello !! 5 big ones !! OMG. That would have been so scary. How on earth can they have so much in their tiny tummies ?!?!? bet your friend was pleased about the lounge......

THE SWEATS !! oh my god ! thought it was just me. Thought I had a virus or flu coming on or something!! thank god it was brought up. It was a total relief to me when I read that. But very happy to be loosing the water retention without trying ;-)

LuluHB - Why do they have to keep changing the game plan on us !?!?! geez its hard to keep up. I will ask the CHN today about it. Defintely seems to match J's nappy scenario though and the wind. Although last night he seemed to be able to burp easily after a feed and not so much crying in pain.
Also, on the food affecting J. I have been eating sooooo many prunes lately :redface: Not for any other reason other than I love them. I didnt eat any yesterday and I didint take any ibuprofen either as I wasnt sure whether he was sensitive to it even though they say it is safe to use while BF.

Little_O - I did end up with a c-section and pretty sure they gave me antibiotics (i was in a bit of a state at the time so they could have injected me with toothpaste and I wouldnt have known).


Dory - I am super impressed you are out and about as well. Still working myself up to walk up to the shop which is a 7 minute walk from my mum's. :redface: In my defence, it was raining and windy the last couple of days......

Milly5- we are co-sleeping as well. Mostly just between 2am and 5am as it is just too cold to take him from the warmth of feeding so cosy and warm to a cold bed on his own. I do warm the bed with a heat pack for a minute or so during the day before I put him in his cot, but at night I couldnt be bothered adding something else to the to-do list when i can barely keep my eyes open. Anyway, the cot will be packed up next week ready for transporting to QLD so he will be sleeping in all sorts of places until we get settled up there. Sleeping with us will give him some security during the move and hopefully he will cope with all the changes a bit better.

Dummies are hard to get rid of once they have them too

Actually DS1 went cold turkey at 14 months and it was easy peasy.. I was prepared for a battle but he dropped the dummy easily :)

Argh tapatalk hasn't been allowing me to reply to any thread, and I haven't had time to jump on the comp for ages. And I've wanted to comment alot of times too. But silver lining, I finally changed my sig. But limited time as ds2 is about to wake up and we are heading to bed!

Only things I can remember to reply to are dummies, night sweats and bleeding lol
Dummy- ds1 had one, loved it, easy to cut it out, took it just after he was 2, he was biting them so we told him if he cubit that one it was his last so make it last, once it was stuffed we said no more dummy. Easy as. He still has one for his nap and overnight but we never shve to go in to give it to him, and he doesn't sook for one during the day.

Night sweats- yep me too. Not every night now but definately still get them.

Bleeding- I still am, but it is slowing, I didn't bleed this long after ds1, I'm actually in colored underwear and a normal pad, not maternity, for the first time today! Yay. So slightly more human.

Sorry can't see much else, but I have been reading and thinking of you all!

Afm- I was a happy mumma this morning, ds2 slept on his back in his bassinet and on his right side at different times last night, and he has never slept any other way than on his left. Hopefully this means his pain is lessening and we can start to work out this new life properly instead of just working around the pain!

Embo: good to hear dd is a settled bub, makes life a bit easier hey!
Ebn_d: so good to here your LO is hopefully on the improve. Poor little man.
CT: how did you go with the nurse?

AFM: dd gave us 5 hours sleep again last night, but after feeding her and putting her down again she was restless. Poor little thing was sniffly so dh and I tried to fish out the booger sorry tmi...then she played in his study while he worked. Now she is one tired little monkey who keeps falling asleep while feeding!!

Attempting to clean my house this morning... Let's hope she sleeps for a while!

Evening ladies

Visit with the CHN was pretty good. I asked lots of questions and can remember none of the answers. I do feel much better about the vomming though as when I was telling her she didnt even blink an eye! Clearlyi am over reacting and she has seen it a hundred times before. It didnt offend me her lack of repsonce but rather made me feel like everything was going along normal.

I dis ask her about hind/fore milk and she saidnot to concern myslef with that as it is all about the 'let down' response and not time or drainage. Says let down can happen 5 or 6 times during a feed and so its not a matter of waiting to drain the fore milk to get to the hind milk. Whatever, as long as I am not cutting him off too early like I thought i was, I am happy. She said that the poobeing watery rather than more solid is normal for BF babies. The cat fight seems to have stopped in his stomach and his sleep pattern has changed today as well. Spent heaps of time awake and didnt sleep at all between a feed this evening.

Little_O - I am hanging out for a 5 hour sleep!! oh to sleep that long........DH was really p!ssing me off today. He doesnt even wake up duirng the night when I am feeding in the bed right next to him and then he has a lovely nap for acouple hours on the couch this morning!! AAARRGGHHHHHH. I have no idea why he is so tired.

Anyway, alls a bit quiet on BB today. Hope everyone is well. YOu are all probably having a lovely Saturday night doing something interesting while I am sitting on the couch posting on BB. I must work on getting a life ;-)

CT - nope I'm sitting on the couch on a Sat night myself. Given my DP a 'leave pass' tonight (Lol) since he has been such an angel to me the past two nights in helping with the night feeds AND did my housework today since I wasn't well today and the place was a pigsty!! Bless him. With all the drama's with your mum I bet you are hanging out to set off to QLD!

Dummies - my X doesn't seem to be a huge fan of the dummy, so in a way I think thats a good thing. If he gets really unsettled (& its not feed time) he will take it but once he has calmed himself he just spits it out.

AFM, My little man's vomiting (or possetting) seems to have settled right down, thankfully. Even though it didn't seem to affect him, I hated to see him spit up all the time! X is still a little night owl, which is frustrating. I was doing a bit of research today (google, haha) into sleep patterns with babies, and got some helpful tips which I am going to try. FX they work. I'll be happy to get 3-4hrs of sleep periods, rather than the 2 he seems to be doing! :o I really shouldn't complain about lack of sleep, I take my hat off to you 2nd time mumma's! Its not like you get to catch up on your sleep during the day with toddlers to chase around!

Hi to everyone else! I was going to catch up on persies, but can't get my brain around it all and think I best get myself off to bed now that my little man has crashed! Cant have him getting a head start on me, haha!

I'm on BB now because if I don't step away from DD3 for a minute to get a break from the screaming in my ear I'm going to do something I shouldn't. She is such an unhappy poppet and has been for about 9 hours now. I hate leaving her crying but at the moment its for her own good to be out of my arms. DH is working (has been since 9am) so its just me and three girls all testing me in their own way. I soooooooo wish I wasn't breastfeeding right at this moment - a glass of wine (or is that bottle???) is looking oh so very good.

I hope your Saturday nights are all a whole lot better than mine ;-)
