Miss B - I'm really sorry to hear about your loss - a few of the Mum in our play group have been trying longer than anyone else and they are the only ones who aren't pregnant. I feel really bad for them and hope their turn comes really soon -and yours too! Regarding your SIL, my SIL was similar when DH first said we wanted to have children. Her exact words were "why would you want to go through all that again" (he has 4 children from a previous marriage). Guess who was pregnant with number 3 six months later? Anyway, she is pregnant again and due a couple months after us... I think some people don't really think and it's especially hard going through IVF or long term conception issues. I think some people are just really oblivious some things - or more bluntly, not very educated about the realities of life :-)
Oh and with the daycare, it's best thing we did with Angus. Each time I pick him up, he seems so much more advanced. There are things I have been trying to teach him for ages - such as saying bye and waving, but he seems to copy more from the kids at daycare. He is such an independent little being now and I think they taught him "cheers" too, so now he does it each time he has a drink! Not sure if that is a good one or not :-)
Teresa - that must be really tough to not have stability at the moment. Are you not entitled to Maternity Leave if you are unable to go back to your workplace? I'm not sure as I left my previous work when I was 3 months pregnant with Angus as DH was deployed to the Middle East and I moved interstate to be with family. Even if I did maternity leave, I wouldn't have wanted to go back there anyway, but I'm not sure of the legalities. I hope it all works out for you
