Hey girls,
Welcome Lisafire, I'm pretty new in these parts too.
Shell1- re daytime sleeps I definitley think we're getting more awake time here. DS has always been a sleepy little fllow, eating, smiling, pooing and sleeping but now at least one feed cycle a day he stays awake, His night times are changing too, I have gone from a blissful 9-10 hour break at night with about 8 of it sleeping, back to getting up at 12pm, 2-3am, 5-6am. Exahusting. But I am being philosophical about it, there is a lot I LOVE about baby days, sleep deprivation isn ot one of them but I wouldn't give up the cuddles, the fuzzyhair, the beautiful baby smell and the coos for more sleep. I'm riding the wave. He still feeds 2 hourly during the day. Hopeing to stretch that soon.
Roxxy- I think the sterilising gets a bit ridiculous once the babies are crawling, touching the floor, putting things in their mouths and eating solids but everyone seems to scared to say its ok to stop. In general the tap water in Asutralia is top quality and teh recommendations area made for a different time and now, different places. A friend of mine has researched it and is stopping with sterilising now (her DS is 4 months) she is a doctor who has also done environmental science but I guess its a personal decision in the end. Maybe try it and see if it agrees with your little one.
